  1. It's blatantly bad writing. When other characters had the motive to outright destroy the world instead of conquer or reassign its populace, it was under an actual pretense. Gharnef in FE3 wanted to go for broke after he was killed in the War of Shadows, and Medeus was mostly mindless. Sephiran believed mankind to have become intolerable after the Serenes Massacre, and his endgame overlapped with recreation. And Nergal really wanted to conquer the world as a dragon taming sorcerer, but even then was borne from a loss of memory and sanity when he gained all his power. Him summoning the dragons after his death was a kamikaze move. Here, Validar and the Grimleal just want to destroy the world because it's their role in the story. No backstory, no recreation, no "Life is pain" crap, just omnicide. Sure, one of the artbooks say that Giant Evil Dragon God #407 was going to find a new planet for the Grimleal, but that's just a complete Shark Jump.
  2. The command that lets you activate those generic lines that boost support points when adjacent to a unit you're supporting.
  3. Just wanted to say I just found that out today. Nothing special, I just found it interesting.
  4. I'd doubt that. By the time this conversation has taken place, Celice and co. have already killed Coruta's squadrons, slain Thracia's entire border guard, and were deployed at Mease. Corpul was already kidnapped from Hannibal as coercion for Kapathogia to fight; Disler was having the northern villages sacked; Judah was in Grutia awaiting Musar's reinforcements; and Altenna's squadron was just killed off, along with her Thracian sympathies. The opportunity for civility was long gone by then. If that was possible, Ishtar and Blume would've warped into Mease or Thracia and had Trabant killed long ago.
  5. It's called "Pride". Fiction likes using it as a flaw for sympathetic antagonists. Besides, the story was messy as-is when it said Trabant "represented the sole ally of Grandbell" when he's been directly antagonizing Freege's occupation of the Manster District. Having him give a Loputo Bishop a base of operations right on the capital's doorstep just makes things even more ridiculous. And Trabant's goal was the unification and reparation of Manster and Thracia. He has no reason to involve himself as an ally to Grandbell. Blume's forces were the weakest faction in the penisula after Chapter 7, possessing only Conote and a skeleton crew at Manster, while Celice's faction had purged Isaac of all Grandbellian occupiers, routed the Loputos at Yied Shrine (their secondary base of operations), subjugated Darna's mercenary army and border guard, captured the border fortress of Melgen, and had their troops mobilized at both Lenster and Alster. With that kind of strength at their doorstep, and with theirs and Thracia's military remaining untouched even after Conote's subjugation, Trabant should've called for an alliance with Celice and Leaf. Thracia has the entire continent's supply of Dragon Knights exclusively at their command, as well as two Holy Weapons. Celice had divine right as ruler of the continent and lineage to the Tyrfing. His army consisted of the heirs to Agustria, Isaac and Jungby, along with their respective Holy Weapons. Silesia's heir, Sety, was already in Manster, making that seven. And even if no one knew about it, Yuria made an eighth lineage, and even without, no one else on the continent could use the Narga tome. Sure, Trabant caused the Yied Massacre, but he still raised Altenna without any actual malicious intent. There was no goddamn reason for Trabant and Coruta to stage a hostile takeover of a neutral Manster Castle and kill anyone in their way other than to contrive a reason to have to fight against Dragon Knights. At least Michalis had Dolhr at his doorstep, and their army possessed every single type of unit on the continent, along with exclusive access to the Manaketes.
  6. I would prefer a song that doesn't have that crummy riff every song in this game has. And also for me to actually give a damn about Emmeryn and Mustafa other than "Obligatory Nyna and Camus archetypes".
  7. He's not so much emotionless as he is bland in Gen 2. It's the natural consequence of using him solely as an expositor for character relationships. The only convos where he actually has focus are all completely optional: if he married Adean or Ayra, he's able to talk to Lakche or Lana; and that iconic teary breakdown over Altenna can easily be replaced with Altenna and Hannibal sharing their concerns over how Thracia had ended up after the events of Chapter 9.
  8. I had a really bit retort to give to M_A's comparison of Wolf, Fin and Percival, but my iPhone refreshed on me. Basically, there is no connection to them other than being complicated mounted units that she probably finds really attractive for having realistic inner turmoil. Wolf exists to highlight FE3's moral grays, Fin exists to communicate Kaga's Thracia favoritism, and Percival exists to expand on Etruria's politics.
  9. The context of your complait sounded more like "I'm not an LTCer; I didn't keep and memorize a big list of enemy reinforcements and when they'd appear, so I got really frustrated when they appeared all over the place like the 4-P starting point". Sorry for any misunderstandings.
  10. The Hidden Treasure map for FE10's Chapter 3-3 is just a copypasted version of the 3-2 map. http://serenesforest.net/radiant-dawn/miscellaneous/hidden-treasure/maps/part-3/ For anyone's convenience, this is what it should be: http://web.archive.org/web/20140803212440/http://serenesforest.net/fe10/treasure3.html
  11. You're NOT an LTCer, SO you're upset about this? Don't you mean "but"?
  12. And I don't know if I'm just remembering things wrong, but does Endgame BK lose his Imbue skill?
  13. None of the codes I'm using are working on the units accessible for 2-3. Well, except for the codes that grant infinite money and BEXP.
  14. Inb4 someone mentions Paperblade or something. Edward.
  15. I retract my statement about support speeds in FE9. Nevermind, I checked Chapter 28, and Elincia's usable in the base. My argument stands. Heck, from my checkup, I think Geoffrey's inaccessible for Chapter 28, too. Huh. Beyond that, DualDragons is interpreting/speaking for me fine. Incoming off-topic accusation in t-minus 10 posts.
  16. You're free to imagine that, as we have stated many, MANY times. What you are NOT allowed to do, however, is paint a picture of their relationship ending up like Hardin/Nyna, and then FORCING that image onto us. Especially when you go on about how the writers sucked for not allowing enough options, yet refuse to consider either AU or Death of the Author an option. Also, what do you mean by "support speeds"? FE9 has Geoffrey/Elincia's B and A supports unlocked at literally the same time, while Ike still has to wait a whole map for each of his. And FE10, as we all know, is an absolute mess when it comes to supports. Though I will mention that Elincia lacks a bond with Ike but has one with Geoffrey if you didn't transfer FE9 supports.
  17. Chapter 24 of FE9 has Elincia begging Lucia and Bastian, her other two childhood friends, to have her army repel a large-scale siege on Castle Delbray; both against their wishes and when pushing a deadline to meet up with the Gallian army around a country occupied by Daein's best and brightest. I remind you that their inferior holding force for Daein was able to create fear within the Begnion forces when they trapped them inside their keep. The only people Elincia can support with are Ike and Geoffrey. Geoffrey can only support with her and Callil, and the latter because Callil initiated the ordeal. Chapter 2-3 of FE10 has Elincia hesitating to give Geoffrey his signature Brave Lance, out of fear for what it would do to his reputation by going all-out on his own countrymen. The same chapter has Geoffrey saying he wishes as many rebels at Felirae spared for negotiation purposes, and that it was "Her Majesty" who wished for this. The previous chapter had Geoffrey wanting to mobilize in full force to completely rout them. Finally, in the Endgame, Elincia says that Geoffrey is Renning's new competitor for keeping her safe and happy.
  18. You'll probably just have to start over. Load a save from GameFAQs and then go from there. Sorry.
  19. Guess who finally finished after just over 8 months? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfUs8P8PcHw
  20. We don't know that. Why Would Agustria have its holy lineage be auxiliary When every other country that isn't Verdane doesn't? Dev notes are retroactive.
  21. That's...actually pretty smart. That may even explain Why Chagall has no Holy Blood, either.
  22. Ana, could you please change your avatar? It makes me cringe every time I see it.
  23. Here I thought this was a thread about the series being dead. 0/10 would not reply again.
