Really because Sakura feels like a bloody generic clones of those shrinking violet characters. I don't feel the moe mostly because I find characters like that dull and overused.

Someone should set up a sort of "In Memory Of" thread for all the fallen characters in one's playthrough from what I have read it gets pretty dicey sometimes in those routes.

Well from what we have seen from these games they have more than a few hiccups especially in regards to the story. I am curious as to the epilogue portion in regards to the character endings though anyone know if there is anything different with those?.

There are exceptions here that are rather interesting though among them being Rinkah and Crimson.

Damn some of those are pretty rough but a few fall into the narm category as well.

How does this make me feel more awkward than the skinship? Also those seem to a cup too big but then again this a mode where Rinka abs have ceased to exist. >_>

I'd imagine it would be the same for Aqua as well.

I was hoping for more supports for characters like Yuugiri and Crimson because I really liked them from what I could gather about their characters and I'm pretty damn happy there was an older woman S-support in the former couldn't get anything like that in Awakening without it going into Shotacon territory. Still why is it that these character only have these few supports?

Strangely enough if you can get past the weird heavy petting aspect of the skinship mini game there are some legit heartwarming bits of dialogue from these characters. Mozume was big source of HNNNNNNNGGGG especially when she thanks you for being her new family.

Well after taking some time calm down and think things through a little I'm not as bothered by this revelation as I first thought I was from a moral stand point(still awkward though) but I am still rather bugged by it from a story telling one, it could have been handled a lot better by the writers(Along with a number of other things in Fates) . That is all I want to say about this for now. Anyways regardless I still want to apologize for turning the thread on its head a few two many times by how I reacted to the whole matter. :/

I think the animated character models are impressive with a lot of expressions and the voice actors really add bonus to bringing these colorful individuals to life. I think there is potential there what exactly I cannot say but it would definitely be a step up from a heavy petting simulator that's for certain.

^ I rather agree with this. I think creating a fully realized 3 dimensional player character rather than a blank slate/self insert would have done a lot of good for the narrative and yeah in the grand scheme of things the marriage system really had no reason to come back. This game is just saturated in pandering fanservice when add in things like the Skinship, the bathing houses, and the barbie doll dress up.

I expect more from a story and its characters instead of the creators playing it safe and recycling archetypes and plot points. The past games may have had quality in the past but that does not excuse this currently growing trend of laziness that is appearing in these newest games with their storytelling. I want the franchise to improve not just in gameplay but in terms of narrative as well and these feelings extend to other things in today's media.

I wasn't saying everything was bad but really looking at some of the characters and stories especially now leave a lot to be desired.

The newest protagonists of these games have really taken new levels in the special snowflake department and Kamui in my opinion is a far bigger one than Robin especially with the release of the third route. Robin was up there but my biggest issues with him/her have to do more with the character being a spotlight stealer considering Chrom was suppose to be the main character but the guy himself was basically your typical blue haired hero with not much to him. The writing for some of the other characters and the narratives in general are not that good either. I feel like we are about to descend on a steep slope into a river of molten mediocrity if this persists.

Truth be told without trying to step on any toes I do find such things rather interesting especially seeing how such scriptures change with the times and yes examining the comparisons of different versions can be both intriguing and very amusing.
