  1. Lol, I happen to said that S.L. Draven was a pseudonym, but thanks for sharing that info (a link to the livestream topic would be lovely). I'm guessing Nintendo of America is really harsh with the NDAs on this one. I would the best scenario is to wait around the time of the release (19th) and check on many social media websites like Facebook or Twitter to see if the voice actors posted anything with their involvement in Fire Emblem Fates. All of voice actors listed seemed to be folks who have done union voice acting the past, meaning the non-union voice actors aren't listed here.
  2. No, I'm pretty sure that's Max Mittelman as Silas. He has a twitter account, and I probably might hear something back from him about this. It could be possible Antony Del Rio is using a pseudonym since his name is associated with union works. It's very likely that many of the names listed for folks who done union work in the past while those that have pseudonyms listed looks like non-union voice actors being used. Angela Marie Volpe's website listed her as SAG/AFTRA, so it's most likely union issues is involved here. The folks at the Behind the Voice Actors website are pretty good at finding out who voices who, as many of the staff members have ways to contact many of the voice actors involved. That being said, I'm a little worried about the English dub since there are many names in the list I'm not familiar with.
  3. Not only that, the credits seem to look like pseudonyms were used: S.L. Draven look like pseudonym type name. Apparently, this makes it even harder to figure out who voices who. That being said, I do know other names involved (Max Mittelman is a voice actor I'm very familiar with, and I'm sure he's voicing Silas in Fire Emblem Fates)
  4. You STILL don't understand what I'm saying here. Shigure is a unique case because he gets the Trobadour from his mother as a base secondary. Kana will get the secondary whatever her/his father/mother's base secondary is (in the case with the all Maid/Butler run, it'll be the Troubadour). The children will get two secondary classes across from their base class, one from their fixed parent (i.e. Shigure will always get the Troubadour class from his mother, Azura, because since his mother's secondary is Sky Knight and he is already a Sky Knight, so he gets the hidden "teitary" class instead of his mother's primary class which the Songstress class from Azura be inherited for gameplay purposes) and another from the variable parent (Silas!Shigure will get the Cavalier as his second secondary from Silas). Kana, Selkie, and Velour will always get their "special" class as their primary and will always get their secondary from their father (or in male Kana's case, his mother). When marrying or supporting two children characters of the same base class, they'll get the secondary class based from their fixed parent, not their variable parent. In the case when marrying Caeldori to Shigure, Caeldori will get the Trobadour class from Shigure and Shigure will get the Samurai class from Caeldori. I think this thread will help better understand how the class inheritance system works and it'll help you understand why I set the getting all female children as Maids like this. I try to explain this to you so many times, but you still don't understand how the inheritance system works (and I hope someone in this thread can better explain this to you well). Also, keep in mind that that A+ supports are non-reciprocal, meaning multiple characters can get A+ support on one character, but one character can only get one A+ support with another character.
  5. Well, I'm not good at explaining things clearly well enough, but anyways, you are correct, the child will always have two secondary classes from inheritance (the primary class from mother, the primary from father). But there unusual cases. Shigure's case is pretty unusual, the Trobadour class is always inherited from his mother. When marrying Azura to Jakob, because Jakob's primary is Troubadour and Shigure already gets this class from his mother, he'll get Wyvern Rider from his father instead.
  6. Well, let me make it easier to you: Kana's main class is the Nohr/Hoshido Princess. However, since it's a unique class, any A+ or marriage supports will have other characters access her secondary class. Shigure's mother's secondary class is actually Sky Knight (the Troubadour class is actually a "hidden" teitary class). However, since Shigure cannot inherit the his mother's Singer class, he gets the Troubadour secondary instead. And Caedori will always get the Trobadour class when marrying to Shigure even if Shigure's father is Jakob. His mother's "hidden" teitary class will take higher priority over others.
  7. Yes, Kana will always get the secondary class from her father (which is depending on what you set), and Caeldori will get Shigure's secondary class since both share the same primary class (Shigure will always get the Butler class as his secondary from his mother, which means Caeldori will get Shigure's secondary class since both are Sky Knights).
  8. Anyways if anyone is curious for getting all the female children in Revelations as Maids, it's a little trickier: Marry Elise and Felicia to any of the following characters: Silas, Odin, Niles, or Laslow (they have Sophie, Ophelia, Nina, and Soleil respectfully) Marry Dwyer to any of the following characters where their mother ISN'T Elise or Felicia: Sophie, Ophelia, Nina, and Soleil (for example, if Nina's mother is Felicia and Ophelia's mother is Elise, Sophie or Soleil are my only options here). Marry male avatar with Troubadour sceondary to the remaining female child I've listed (i.e. if I have Felicia!Nina, Elise!Ophelia, and marry Soleil to Dwyer, then I marry male avatar to Sophie) Get A+ support on Kana with the following characters: Midori, Mitama, Selkie, and Velour Marry Shigure to Caeldori Marry Foleo to Rhajat The reason the Maid setup is a little harder than the Butler setup is because you'll need to marry Elise or Felicia with the Nohr exclusive characters and marry the male avatar to one of the Nohr female children. But generally speaking, if you are planning to do an all Maid/Butler run, you need characters that either have good hybrid stats (i.e. Sakura, Odin, Niles, Gurei, and Saizo), characters that benefit from higher luck stats for the Line of Death/Extravagence/Easy Life skill combination (i.e. Midori with the right setup), or good candidates for Explosive Shurikens (Elise and Nyx comes into mind). Someone with well-rounded stats with good strength, speed, and luck growths such as Effie, Mozu, Oboro, Peri and Charlotte are also good candidates as Maids or Butlers.
  9. Speaking of which, I know it's actually possible to make all the female children as Maids in the Relevations route, but what about vice versa for the male children in the Relevations route?
  10. Yeah, not only that, it still keeps the "green" meaning to her name as well. Try google translate "green" from English to Japanese and you'll see what I mean. I think Midori sounds cuter than Midoriko IMHO.
  11. So...they still keep that hyperbolic time chamber bullcrap with the children. Well, I really hope that the localization team add more personality to the children. Because one of the biggest criticisms of the inclusion of children is not only the reasoning is bad, but the children aren't much different from their parents. In fact, IIRC, most of the lowest ranked characters in the official Japanese polls were the children themselves. Oh yeah, and I find Kana's voice acting to be reasonably cute. Still not feeling Felicia's voice acting though.
  12. Assuming this is medieval fantasy, being 13/14 years old would be considered "adult" by that standard because life expectancy rate is pretty low back in the old days. Of course, there are adults that look like highschoolers, yet are actually older (i.e. most Asian women).
  13. Wow, so in the Conquest route, Ryouma's reaction will become more ruthless. I kinda like the changes as it does highlight the "dark" side of Hoshido (they believe in peace, but they can be really ruthless when it comes to Corrin "betraying" Hoshido). [spoiler=in regards to Conquest route]I'm wondering how the localization team would handle that chapter where Elise gets sick and Ryouma trying to manipulate this situation in getting Corrin to side with him. I think the localization team go into the lines of Ryouma telling Corrin to either join Hoshido or he will kill her off and not giving single fucks if she lives or dies
  14. I'm actually okay with the changes here. One of my biggest criticisms is the story. Despite being set up in the "grey vs. gray" morality kind of thing, the game puts too much favoritism on the Hoshido side of things. I think it's a right step for Nintendo of America to add more aggressive and hostile rhetoric on the Hoshido characters to highlight the more grey side of things. Now, I'm curious how Nintendo of America would handle the children characters since I know they weren't given much personality in the Japanese version and are only there as "throw-ins".
  15. Speaking of Vanished Disaster, is it possible to get multiple of these staves from the Weapons DLC? And where can you obtain the Rainbow Elixir? Anyways, my ideal My Castle team is a balanced with physical dmg dealers (of various weapons), a magic dmg dealer, and a utility/healing user. However, I'm going for an all-Maid My Castle team in my Revelations run since this kind of team comp would be meta breaking.
  16. Like BlueHeracross, Crispin Freeman is a union-only voice actor, meaning he cannot do voice work for Fire Emblem series, which the voice work is non-union (this is quite evident since the Awakening credits either had some of the characters' VA being uncredited or pseudonyms being used). That being said, I'll be half-assed surprised if the voice work for Fire Emblem Fates is union, seeing that the Fire Emblem series is far more niche when compared to Final Fantasy series. Apparently, this also means Nolan North (yes, Nolan North being in every single video game voice work is highly exaggerated since you will never see him do voice work for niche jRPGs or indie games), Steve Blum, Kari Wahlgren, Troy Baker, Tara Strong, etc. will not be in this game. That being said, here's actually my English VA wishlist: Christine Marie Cabanos: I can definitely see her voicing Midoriko in the dub seeing that she has a high-pitched and innocent voice that would fit perfectly into Midoriko's character. Compare the Japanese VA clips here to her voice acting. Johnny Yong Bosch: I've been hearing rumors that he may be voicing Leo, but after hearing a few voice clips in the Birthright gameplay, I highly doubt that. He does make a good Siegbert or Hinata though. Honestly, JYB has done so many jRPGs in the past and Nintendo hasn't hired him in a Fire Emblem game? Max Mittelman: After listening to a few voice clips, I'm pretty sure that him as Silas. Some say it's Antony del Rio, but I highly doubt that since his name is associated with union-only video game work (although there is a chance of surprises, since I thought Lex Lang and Sandy Fox were union-only voice actors prior to the Aldnoah.Zero and Sailor Moon dubs). Sandy Fox and Lex Lang: Speaking of which, I'm hoping these two voice someone in this game. And it does seem to look like that Nyx might be voiced by Sandy Fox if I'm not mistaken. Doug Erholtz: He would definitely make a good Deere. Xanthe Huynh, Erik Kimerer, Erica Mendez, and Sean Chiplock: Can we get these newer name Bang Zoom! voice actors in this game? Robbie Daymond: Hoping he'll voice Subaki. Lucien Dodge: I think he would make a good Foleo.
  17. Yea, that. The only reason for getting the Weapons DLC is getting multiple copies of a particular weapon for forging (the forging mechanic works differently in this game since you need multiple number of the same weapon to level up and increases incrementality) and even so, the weapons you get from that DLC is totally random as well.
  18. Grabbing the EXP and money DLCs does help you significantly in Nohr playthroughs since you really can't grind outside of the main battles. But I would like to remind you that the money and EXP DLC maps are much harder than the ones in Awakening since the enemies actually deal damage to you and some may actually fight back in the enemy turn. The enemy stats and levels in the said DLC are also scaled based on your story progress. Meaning that if you have an incredibly weak unit in your party and try to train him/her in the EXP map when you are somewhere in let's say...chapter 21, you're pretty much screwed yourself over. Also, you don't have to limit yourself to the level 1-2 shops that you have and need to wait until the later chapters to get a level 3 shop. You can also visit other players' My Catles where they have level 3 item shops to get the infinite class changing seals that you need.
  19. Yeah, it does, providing if you marry Saizo to someone with hybrid growths (i.e. Sakura).
  20. If you order the DLC Map Pack through an online retailer like Gamestop, you should receive emails from Gamestop the access code you can enter via your 3DS IIRC.
  21. As with any Fire Emblem game, I'm always going to start out in the easiest difficulty to familiarize myself with the maps. After that, I would often player for harder difficulties for a challenge.
  22. Pretty much in some degree yeah. The strength doesn't matter since she does make a good Explosive Shuriken Maid. Also, Midoriko can get Stubbornness from inheritance via her mother, Felicia (and if you manage to get Renewal via Logbooking, this will make a nice combination). Also, IIRC, Midoriko will end up having around 22.5% ish growth rate in her Strength, combine that with Great Merchant's strength growth and later reclass her into a Maid once you max her strength, she should be a reasonable hybrid unit. But...for the most part, Midoriko should mostly be treated as a utility unit rather than an offensive unit since most of the Luck% skills are utility based.
  23. According to Fire Emblem wiki, it does.
  24. Midoriko's passive Lucky Charm increases Luck% skills by 20%. Combine that with Flamboyant and the Hoshido skill and something like Miracle, you're going to have a Midoriko that is hard to kill. Or get something like Extravagence, Line of Death, and Easy Life, you'll have a Midoriko that does tons of damage.
  25. A little bit of advice. For Kaze, you need to pair someone with high Speed AND Luck to fully benefit Midoriko. Even better the mother has access to Luck scaling skills like Stubbornness, Smithy Skill, Draconic Shield, and Miracle are useful skills that Midoriko should access. Kaze x Mozu isn't an ideal pairing since many of the skills Mozu has access too is accessible to Midoriko herself (since she can naturally access the Great Merchant class like Mozu, and can obtain Line of Death from inheritance from her father). Getting access to the Hoshido skill and Flamboyant is also useful for Midoriko Some of the good pairing examples include Azura (naturally high speed and luck growths, and can pass down Luck +4), Felicia (also have high luck and speed growths, and can reclass into Hero class to gain access to Stubbornness for Midoriko to gain via inheritance), Oboro (reasonable speed and luck growths), Hinoka (same reason for Oboro), Charlotte (her Str+ bonus really help negate the -Str Midoriko get screwed over by Kaze), Sakura (arguable one of the best options since Midoriko can grab Miracle there), Elise (if you want to make Midoriko a magic user or a candidate for Explosive Shuriken Maid), and Elfie (same reasons why Charlotte is a good option). Anyways, here are some of my suggested pairing for each route, I'm hoping for feedback and see if this is any better from the OP: Birthright: Kaze x Avatar with Luck+ modifier and Oni Savage secondary class Saizou x Mozu Asama x Oboro Ryouma x Kagerou (this one I agree with) Takumi x Hana Hinata x Setsuna (also agree with this one) Tsukuyomi x Orochi Jakob x Azura Subaki x Rinkah Silas x Sakura Nishiki x Felicia Conquest: Xander x Charlotte Niles x Azura Leo x Nyx (this one I agree with) Benolt x Beruka Silas x Mozu Odin x Elise (also agree with this one) Kaze x Felicia Flannel x Pieri Arthur x Elfie Jakob x Avatar with Strength+ Lazward x Camilia Revelations route is a little trickier since there is more pairing options between Nohr/Hoshido characters, so I'll do a list of recommended pairings in another post. Flamboyant is actually quite good on Midoriko though. :|
