  1. ++ Or at least an October update for the community. At other sites, some have thought this project is dead for lack of updates.
  2. So again: the tools Twilkitri used are perfectly usable and available, so someone just needs to actually sit down and use them, instead of posting on a forum. It's been this way for like a decade. Is there a reason people are avoiding it, or is it just a "I heard" aversion?
  3. Children may be a better choice for the DLC classes, if only because any learned skills from DLC are not passed on to children. Unfortunately.
  4. I probably do, but my archive is so massive I couldn't find it again :D Thank you for the relink!
  5. I'm still super looking forward to the hack :)
  6. And so the community should probably stop calling translations shit when none of them are willing or capable of handling the ending properly. On FESS, I thought we had a pinned thread of all the character ending dialogue and the various possible pairings, so players who finish their game can then go and read the different versions. It was an easy and accessible solution that worked fine.
  7. I left Aqua as that this last time. It's pretty okay, other than still shocking defense. Shigure went for the Lodestar and is rocking hard so far.
  8. This DLC was surprisingly easy compared to previous ones. I'm on Hoshido Lunatic right now and the enemies in the chapter were around half my level or so. However other DLC maps do scale to your save and character levels, with them becoming successively stronger and gaining more skills as you progress. Nohr has a lovely habit of putting extra skills on enemies, for example; Hoshido Lunatic for the Chrom DLC had ninjas with -20% HP sap and the skill that switch places, which led them to chain people right into the thick nest of enemies up north. Chapter AI also changes in Lunatic for the campaign, with enemies doing different and more aggressive things than in the lower difficulties--I don't know if this or other DLC scales the same way. I'm hoping this round of DLC has better balance. I still can't complete the weapon DLC, and I've finished Nohr Hard, Invisible Hard, and now half way through Hoshido Lunatic.
  9. All three choices are the same route; in Green patch, you play both routes together instead of separately. I don't think any character is permanently gone, and appear where they are needed in the story.
  10. I've seen FEditor repackaged on Japanese sites and used with some Japanese hacks, so there's likely a modified version floating out there. You can check the uploader or some hack readmes and see if you can find any leads. http://ux.getuploader.com/FE4/
  11. So put Camilla there instead :p I like the map, but it was a little weird when turn 15 came and didn't end immediately. There are other maps that ask you to complete by turn X and the map will end at the beginning of X turn, whereas this dlc map ends at the end of the turn (so you get a free last attempt at killing them.
  12. You can contact the hack author, whose information is in the readme. Next to that, you can always translate it regardless and leave credits and reference in your translation readme--general good practice is to include the original documents too.
  13. Will you be recoloring animations as well? Looking forward to the patch! Someone made a patch for FE8 which alters weapon stats to be closer to FE6--you could implement that too :)
  14. Corrin can definitely have a reason to use the Dragon Stone--between it, Joker, and Sakura, that's like +9 or +11 defense. The dragonstone bonus is pretty useful; make defense your unit's strength and you can tank the higher difficulties a lot better.
  15. The greenhaired Nomad Trooper, you don't talk to her with the lord character? And yeah, I found the difficulty pretty sharp--it really picks up in Chap 5 and 6 lol And glad you enjoyed the hack man--if you're up for it, you might want to email the author and thank them for the hack, too :) email is in the readme file.
  16. Dealing with expansion and a limited mapper is indeed one of the largest issues for NES titles.
  17. Which ones? Hoshido Normal, the final boss didn't really do anything, but this is the easiest mode of the game. Nohr Hard and Invisible Kingdom Hard, each side's end-game bosses were always fighting back on their turns. I'm on Hoshido Lunatic right now and I'm sure it will be just as aggressive on this difficulty as it is on the others--unless Hoshido is a joke mode or something lol Invisible Hard, Velour and Flannel took out the final boss for me. Flannel was his normal class with high defense and 55 HP, and Velour was a Dreadfighter with around 33 defense and resistance and 51 HP. Their innate skills healed them every other turn, and some physics aided from afar. Velour actually had 18% crit chance but never activated :/
  18. The Heart also extends its attack range from 1-3 to 1-5.
  19. Flannel's daughter has the chance to proc 50% HP recovery on odd turns I'd say that's pretty awesome I had her as a Dreadfighter and she took on the endgame of Invisible Kingdom Hard all on her own. Her and Flannel took out the final boss tagteam style thanks to huge strength (40-ish) as well as stylish damage and speed (Velour was doing like 63 damage with a forged Steel axe).
  20. Actually, no, with this community, half the shit that is said doesn't even phase me anymore. Then again, so many people are on ignore now, maybe I just haven't seen it get worse lol
  21. There is an animation, compression (and in process sprite) tool for FE3, 4, and 5, but it's not going to be user-friendly and is merely a tool for extraction and insertion I think. So the user has to have everything prepared and know how to get and insert resources on their own. The map editor is the most user-friendly program I know of for FE3. As well, I think the script for FE3 is just uncompressed text so anyone can edit it using a script tool or a plain hex editor with a table file.
  22. That's because Shaya's work on Thracia was about halfway done for proofing and editing, before his hardware failure/lack of interest saw the end of the project. Script insertion was complete for the most part, but he was still in the process of receiving user feedback and refining the project. For some odd reason, the current community expects far more from an incomplete project than is warranted, as well as misunderstands the situation.
