  1. I figure it would be something more terrifying fun. Chrom blessed by Naga should be like Chrom: Crowned Exalt, but on a horse and colorless with Meister effect.
  2. For Sedgar, I would go with Brave Bow if you want a regular nuke, or Firesweep Bow if you need a nuke that can take on problematic enemies. Nuke: +Atk; +Spd AscAss Brave Bow Reposition Luna (Any A that boosts Atk/Spd) Desperation (Any C) — Savage Blow — Fatal Smoke — Def Smoke (Any Sacred Seal that boosts Atk/Spd) Firesweep: +Atk/Spd; +Atk/Spd AscAss Firesweep Bow Reposition Ruptured Sky — Moonbow — Luna (Any A that boosts Atk/Spd) — Heavy Blade (with Lull Atk/Def or AD Far Trace) Poison Strike — Lull Spd/Def — Lull Atk/Def (with Heavy Blade on A) — SD Far Trace — AD Far Trace (with Heavy Blade on A) (Any C) — Savage Blow — Fatal Smoke — Def Smoke (Any Sacred Seal that boosts Atk/Spd) — Poison Strike — — — — — — — Vyland can go either way. 3. I am not so sure about it being a niche build. Dodge is powerful, and I think it has a strong chance of being mainstream, especially when you can get it as high as 75% on a single unit without using support. Defensive Special with Múspell means that although your Dodge is less reliable, it is also much more powerful, and you also kind of have targeting the lower of Def/Res if your tank hits physically, each hit is like a mini Glimmer, you also get an additional mini Glimmer for your first hit if your Atk is higher than the foe's, and all those mini Glimmers cannot be cockblocked by Guard. In contrast, damage Special with Flayn means that although your Dodge is very reliable, it is also quite a bit less powerful, and your damage Special can get neutered on occasion by a foe's Guard. Arden +Atk+Res Arden's Blade [special] Swap Pavise Fierce Breath — Warding Breath Hardy Fighter AR Near Save Quick Riposte In my opinion, I think Arden is one of the best Near Save armor to take advantage of all the fun new mechanics. He can reach an absurd 75% damage reduction and also basically got Special Fighter in his kit. Since his Meister sword hits almost as hard as a normal Weapon, and since he can quad with it, the two extra hits are basically double Deadeyes, and Múspell backing him up means that he can trigger even more mini Glimmers against his enemies. Draug, Gwendolyn, and Sheena got godawful Atk, so they probably want a setup using damage Specials with Flayn as support, but for everyone else, I think you can go either way.
  4. If players are running Reginn and Ashera, they should be able to kill either of them though. Ullr will also definitely kill them, but she boosts Spd, so she is not as ideal for Gustav: Majestic Love. Gustav Majestic Love might not be able to kill some bulky red foes, but as long as he is not does not die to them, I think it will be okay. That is true. I wish Múspell debuted after Fjorm: Ice Ascendent, since I bet he will sell like hotcakes now. I did not summon for him when he first came out, since I thought offloading damage output was kind of pointless and just plain silly at the time.
  5. You can offload some of that damage output to a support unit now with Múspell, so lack of a Special is not a huge issue in my opinion. And with 75% damage reduction using Pavise/Aegis-Hardy Fighter, you can probably even forgo Flayn entirely and run double Múspell.
  6. Are people still trying for Arena Assault? I think that is the only competitive mode where my rank has crept up over time without much effort, so I assume that players are giving up the mode to focus on Arena and Aether Raids. In other modes, I feel like I have to regularly put in investment to maintain my rank, especially Aether Raids. In Arena, I have not made much investment into the mode until recently with tier 4 Duel skills, but I am still stuck in 19.5 for 99% of the time (I got some Crowns a few weeks ago; the last time I got Crowns that I remember before that was when Laevatein debuted, which is like eons ago), so I think people are still trying pretty hard for Arena. While I did update my Arena Assault Team 1 from an all-armor team to a higher-scoring and easier-to-use all-Legendary team when I got my Dimitri: Savior King to +10 a while back, I noticed my ranking jumped about a thousand or so, but my ranking was already creeping up before and after the switch. When I played Arena Assault seriously at first, I think I was ranking around 8,000. Now, I am ranking close to being in the top 5,000, and I feel like I can actually break into the top 5,000 some time next year if more and more people give up playing perfectly or something.
  7. I got my pityrate up to six percent and was pitybroken previously by Dedue and Edelgard, but still no Fjorm: Ice Ascendent. I think that might be the highest pity rate I have gotten for normal Foci.
  8. Oh yeah, I forgot other units exist. Wolf is okay I guess; Desperation alone does not really seem exciting, but his Desperation is easier to trigger. His Weapon also helps with high HP play style, but I personally prefer low HP play style for Wings of Mercy. I do not see the Weapon being too relevent though. Malice got Slaying and Null Special. Other than Galeforce, I cannot really think of anything she would excel in. Roshe has Stout Lance, which is nice.
  9. If you are using him as a super tank, +Spd+Res would be more relevant. Damage output is important, but being able to survive waves after waves of attacks is more important. If you are using him as a dual phase unit, then I lean towards +Atk+Spd, as dealing with problematic hard hitting enemies on player phase means there is less need for bulk on the following enemy phase. If you are using her as a Firesweeper, I would also recommend considering running Poison Strike on one or both slots if you plan to have her deal with super bulky tanks, so in the off chance she does get walled by one, she can still chip them for 10 or 20 damage. I would also consider Fatal Smoke to stop foes from healing if you can afford it. Fliers do not have access to Lulls unfortunately.
  10. Do we know if Fjorm: Ice Ascendent will have access to Ice Mirror II? In this case, I assume Ice Mirror is better for damage output since you can stack Flayns on top, but Ice Mirror II is better for more damage reduction? Anyways, I feel like Save armors might be a bit too strong right now. I think Arden-Hector: Brave Warrior might be the best Save armor combo right now with Hardy Fighter being a thing. Now I think I might pull some Múspell for more damage support.
  11. Does Glimmer actually beat Moonbow? Foes there have like around at least 40 for their lower of Def/Res, and their higher one is around 45 to 50 if not more. I am not sure Glimmer is good for that mode due to Def/Res also being inflated. Moonbow will deal at least 20 damage. Glimmer only does 20 or more if your Atk is 80 and you are hitting the lower of Def/Res.
  12. For enemy phase, if you are building a slow tank, the most important effects to have on a tank are Guard and guaranteed follow-up. Guard can be on the Weapon, A slot, B slot, or offload it to a support unit. Generally speaking though, you do not want it on the B slot since better and higher scoring skills can take up that slot. Guaranteed follow-up is on the Weapon, B slot, or Sacred Seal slot; in most cases, one copy of Quick Riposte is fine, but sometimes you may need two copies on B and Sacred Seal, to counter follow-up denial effects from Impacts. +Def/Res Guard Axe — Deck Swabber — Huge Fan — Plegian Axe — Steadfast Axe — Victorfish Def Refine — Res Refine Reposition — Swap Moonbow — Ruptured Sky — Bonfire — Iceberg — Ignis (with Steady Breath) — Glacies (with Steady Breath) — Aether (with Steady Breath) (Any Stance, Bond, or Unity that boosts Atk/Def, Atk/Res, or Def/Res) — Close Def Lull Atk/Def — Quick Riposte (Any C) — Atk Smoke (Any Stance, Bond, or Form that boosts Atk/Def, Atk/Res, or Def/Res) — Close Def — Quick Riposte — Steady Breath — Mystic Boost +Atk is also an option, but I prefer +Def/Res for more bulk. If you are only using him to counter blue units though in Arena Assault, then +Atk is a better option to be more sure he can secure the kill, as the color advantage means that he is highly unlikely to die from blue units unless they are some kind of super specialized blue nuke geared towards busting tanks. I recommend Moonbow/Ruptured Sky as the default Special, since Caellach is not slow enough to trigger Bonfire and Iceberg reliably; however, if you feel that he is slow enough to doubled by foes consistently, then you may want to consider Bonfire/Iceberg as the default instead. For me personally, if I were to go all out and build him, I would go with mixed bulk and something like the following: +Res Steadfast Axe [Res] Reposition — Swap Ignis Bracing Stance Quick Riposte Threaten Atk/Def — Atk/Def Menace Steady Breath
  13. I would not run Brazen on an enemy phase build since its HP requirement is more in line with player phase units. I would use Sturdy Stance 2, Mirror Stance 2, or Bracing Stance 2 instead.
  14. That is not a bad idea either on units with super Drives and long distance support, although the only units I can think of are Veronica: Brave Princess and Álfars, and the former cannot use regular Assists and the latter all have Dance/Sing which are generally far more valuable. I think that just leaves Mila.
