  1. Actually, smallish wagon. Should only be able to hold 5 people as I understand it (due to lots of stuff being carried around back there) and room enough for maybe 10(?) atop. Hence why most of the characters (if I have this right) are actually outside the wagon talking. As I understand it, the list is as follows (for those outside the wagon taslking to those inside and outside): Gytha, Raquel, Amon, Robin, Veronika, Nadya, John. Those inside: Ranyin, Atusko, Siv, Shadrak. Just because people go to the wagon does not mean they go in.
  2. "Hmm. Wonder if that organization has somethin' like it, if this sort of thing can be made. Who's Lulu, though? She's yer friend, ye said, but how'd ye meet'er?" At this point, Gytha was only half-contributing and more just talking with her friend. She didn't know much about him, though.
  3. "HAHARR! What're ye talkin' 'bout? Silly sand-sailor! A'course ye make good conv'rsation! Fer example, where'd ye pick up that? Did ye find it at the fair or somehwere in that sand-sea ye come from? Sure glows a lot," reassured the jolly seafarer.
  4. "Ahoy, Amon," Gytha greeted, "How've ye been? Been a while since we've talked much." Really, this was perhaps the most pressing concern to Gytha. To her, the organization wasn't anything worth discussing anymore at this point. It'd be better to wait until they saw what Weyland found for them. Though she didn't direct;y voice these thoughts, which she probably should have.
  5. "A'course they wouldn't listen t' us. That's why we wouldn't tell'em. They'd just find out on their own. That's what I've been sayin'. They're well-informed -- they'll find out on their own if it's been taken someplace where it can't be taken back," Gytha clarified. Of course it'd be dumb to expect the organization to believe them. That's why she never suggested it. Though none of this seemed to bother the mariner. No, she was completely relaxed, figuring she'd take things as they came. "Well, sounds like we'd better keep workin' on ourselves. Th' more we think o' ourselves as a crew and less as people with our own objectives, th' better we'll do. And it goes without sayin' that we have t' keep gettin' stronger. Our weapons have t' actually land hits, fer one. They have t' do decent damage fer another. And we have t' be able t' survive counterattacks if we can't avoid 'em. Once we can do all that without too much difficulty, we'll be ready, as I see it."
  6. "Thank ye, but I think I'll pass. Just finished some form of delicious meat so I want th' taste t' stay in me mouth for a while," Gytha replied being in a generally good mood.
  7. "Maybe Nature liked it or somethin'. Nature's th' one who takes th' rocks, aye?" Gytha casually suggested before biting off the remainder of her snack, chewing it and swallowing it.
  8. "Ahoy, Ranyin. Ye choakin' r' somethin'?" Gytha greeted, a little concerned for the mage. Still there wasn't much left on the skewer she'd been eating from.
  9. "Well, th' way I see it, if they can't go after th' emblem anymore...wouldn't they just break up? That little bauble sure seems important to 'em," asked the mariner, "I figure if they found out we really didn't have it anymore, then we wouldn't have t' say anythin'."
  10. Oh my gosh Paper Emblem sounds so cute! I would buy it.
  11. Uhh hmm... Length-wise, probably close to FE9!Lucia's but those bangs would drive me nuts. My bangs are similar to Erika's, but the strands I keep at the sides of my face aren't nearly that long. They're a bit shorter than Vanessa's. Also, my hair is not blue, aqua and green (though that would be pretty.) It's sort of a medium-dark brown. Also, ponytails are very very handy.
  12. "Would that be bad? If it was taken up, then that organization'd have no more reason t' keep chasin' us or keepin' yer father as bait," Gytha asked, lightly thinking over the situation as she spoke.
  13. "Ahoy, Jingle," Gytha greeted John, "Well, strange people crave strange relations, I suppose." When Shadrak mentioned how it'd save all of them is some lord happened by, she mentioned to Shadrak, "Whoever that is'd prolly just think yer touched."
  14. It was about that time that Gytha retuned, nearly finished with what was easily turning into part of her dinner. "Ahoy!" she cheerfully greeted before noticing the unhappy atmosphere, "What's everyone so upset about?"
  15. How about something for younger FE players? Where the story isn't that you're off to war so much as in-training? I'd like to play through how the Griel mercenaries started up myself. The mercenary base looks so cool; I'd like to explore it! Spending in-depth time in the places and being able to explore them yourself like in the Zelda games would be awesome.
  16. The same thing happens with me regarding high-crit weapons, but in any FE game. I have better luck with irons. Theose nearly always crit (ikr?) It did work to my advantage one time in FE9, though. It was part 1 in ch17 and I was having my little army steadily moving northward. The knight with the killer lance attacked Gatrie who was using an iron lance (I think it war iron; might've been steel.) The killer lance provided a normal attack against Gatrie who then critted against the enemy armor. PHERE MAH IRONS! (i.e., my pal/cav!Amelia almost always crits wherreas my myrms/pegs/zerkers rarely-to-never do. And people wonder why I hate pegs/myrms... They don't dodge reliably either for me. Dodgiest units I have are cavs. Cavs must love me or something.)
  17. "I'd bet ev'ryone 'round here's thinkin' th' same 'bout their wishes. Well, if ye'd like, ye can keep lookin' 'round. I'll head o'er to th' wagon. I'll see ye soon, Robin," Gytha replied, only watching the boulder for half of her speaking time. When she'd finished her farewell, Gytha walked back over to the wagon, eating her snack along the way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "There they go: the hopes and dreams of alost everyone in the area," Norbert mentioned as he saw the spheres rise into the distant, warm-colored sky, "It's almost inspiring, isn't it? I actually feel like sending up a prayer myself. Not sure what I'd wish for, though. The first thing that comes to mind is that everyone back home keeps healthy. Even the sisters who aren't at home like Cecelia or Alicia. I also want Splinter and Crunch back but I think that'll take care of its self soon. ... It's kind of beautiful." With that, Norbert contented himself with just watching the sky. Rizen just grazed.
  18. Thank you very much, Kiryn! ^w^ I like it a lot.
  19. @ Minigames: It's not mandatory gameplay, just there for those who like it. My sister likes minigames, for example. I think it'd be good for reaching a broader audience so I don't see why the vehemnence towards them. Edit: @ abuse: It depends on the gameplay style. I like the written aspects of FE the most as opposed to the challenge. Actually, I try to make the game as easy as possible for myself, so that means having a well-balanced team, making sure I recruit as many units as possible, do the sidequests and milk the chapters dry. Also, tower abuse. I'm not the only one with this playstyle either. Abuse is an objective of mine so that the chapters are as easy as possible. It's just how I play it so I see abuse possabilities and opportunity for more conversations as plusses.
  20. "Well, I'll write it for ye, but I really don't think it'd be a problem since these bulders'll be goin' into th' sky. 'Sides, I think yer assumin' th' worst o' all th' nice people here. Can't be good for ye. Well, yer wish is t' be homeward bound soon, aye? Good wish; many a sailor's wished the same in prayers t' Leviathan durrin' a long voyage," Gytha rambled somewhat as the people around them took their turns writing on the boulder. By the time she'd finished her slight rambling, someone handed her some chalk and she went right to finding a blank spot and writing Robin's wish. As she did so, she broke out into a quiet song, going back and forth between hummung and mumbling, "...and we're homeward bound once more~ To where the sky is clear as... hmmm hmm hm~ ... ...my return~ Hmm hmm hmm hm... the Fairgale hooomeward bound~ ..." And then she accidentally wrote down her own wish and then gave the chalk over to the next last-minute wisher. "Um, it's not my turn," the villager mentioned, indicating Robin. "I wrote 'er's down for 'er," Gytha happily explained, "She's not from 'round here, so she can't write in Common." "Oh, okay. Thanks," he replied, happily taking the chalk and searching for a blank spot himself. "So, that's it, then?" she asked before continuing to snack on the food she'd gotten and adding with a half-full mouth, "Ye think we should head f'r th' wagon now?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maw dashed away after making her kill of the dragging thing then leaped into the wagon, saw the bird-human, leaped out and hidunder the wagon all in rapid succession.
  21. I like how the Magval map was and the fact that you could actually train your units in the Tower of Valni. It's be nice if you didn't have to restart the tower every time, though, instead choosing which floor to train on. Of course, the list of floors you could travel to would be dependant on which floors you've already cleared, so when you first enter the tower, you have to clear floor 1. Then after that you can choose to either return to floor 1 or move on to floor 2 after you leave the tower. Or, chapters could be formatted similarly to how they were in FE4, but included in the castle/town currently being used as a base would be a barracks. In my mind, the barracks' mechanics could go one of two ways. 1: The barracks be a place where you could leave your trainees/student-type characters to actually train with a mentor (higher-level unit/mentor-type character.) I.e., I could leave Shinon and Rolf in the barracks while I send some other units out to take care of the chapter objectives and main map. Shinon and Rolf already have a mentor-student relationship, so Rolf gains more exp and weapon-type(bow, in this case) exp per turn than if he was by himself or trying to lear from, say, Astrid and exp growth would be the same as though he was by himself if I had Soren in there as the "mentor" since they are completely different kinds of units. Also, certain "mentor supports" that give no in-combat benefits (but still have conversations similar to the support conversations of FE7-9, mainly backstory revelation, character development and strengthening the relationships between the mentors and students) could be accessable depending on how long the mentors and students are in the barracks. 2: The barracks could be a place with a set of minigames that are class-specific and that increase characters' stats based on guages (each stat having it's own guage which you earn points for to gain +1 for a full guage). Points awarded depend on how well the player does in the minigames. However, a character must be entered into the barracks in order to play the minigame and only 1 minigame can be played per turn. 5exp is awarded the character for each turn he or she spends in the barracks and there is a maximum capacity for how many characters can be in the barracks sections (library/church for magic units, stables for mounted units, training ring for physical units and archery range for ranged units.) Also, yes, the barracks' minigames are effected by the battlefield's weather conditions if the minigames are outdoors (i.e., if it's foggy, horsemanship minigames would be locked and archery would gain a harder difficulty, locking the easy mode on the target practice.) Either way, I like the class-up system in the Tellius games, where you don't need an item to promote your characters.
  22. Tried this method. Got my cousin to get FE9. She still loves the content, she just doesn't have the time/want to play through the chapters. She preferrs hearing about the plotlines/support convoes from me. She doesn't have FE9 anymore, I don't think. Effective method (depending on your target) unless the person you're trying to convert doesn't have the time/want, as Acacia pointed out. Edit: I just remembered attempting to get an old friend to play/like FE. She said she remembered playing a bit of FE10. I immediately told her that she should play FE9 first. Not sure what happened after that. She lives kinda far away. Also, I did encounter some people who played/liked FE at school. It was awesome but I haven't seen them since except for one of them once at Subway.
  23. Not sure how well a remake would go, but a new saga or an addition to Magval would be nice, I agree. And yes, good, in-depth support convoes like in FE7-FE9 (there are probably more but I haven't played any FEs made before FE7) should return. Not whatever happened in FE10. Also, I'd like to see the reclass system trashed but the My Unit is a very good idea. They should continue on with something similar to that imo.
  24. "Sure, but I don't think it'd be a problem if ye wrote in yer own language," Gytha replied before beginning to walk with the archer over towards the nearest, giant sphere of rock, "Not sure I caught yer name, by the way. I'm Gytha." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, a particular, blue eye was watching the...thing... Maw really wasn't sure what it was, but it demanded a pouncing, dragging by like that. Being the feline huntress she was, Maw was oblidged to answer that call. And so, she bolted forward and pounced. Ah, what a wonderful, accurate pounce it was, too! There was no denying the grace and power in that pounce. However, pouncing was never the end of it. No, after pouncing came dispatchment and so Maw clawed and bit the thing she had pounced upon in the frenzy of the hunt. Whatever this thing was, it would soon die at her namesake: her fanged maw. OoC: Whatever she pounced on, it was dragging by. Probably someone's coat or cloak or something. Have fun with this but keep in mind that Maw has good reflexes and thusly will run away if something comes towards her that she doesn't recognize. Meaning, you try to attack her, you miss and she runs. Also, you try to pet her, your hand will not touch fur but claw might cut into hand.
  25. Aww that's so sweet. :3 And mah gosh, the anatomy and the textures in the clothing... Excellent. For some reason, I noticed it more keenly than usual. Great job, as always.^_^
