  1. FE1/11: Beck isn't often brought up, but I honestly love using him. Killing enemies from afar is just so much fun. FE4: Diarmuid/Tristan. With the right father Diarmuid can be pretty crazy good, but I guess people just kinda ignore him in discussions unless it's about him. Tristan gets this too since he actually has some pretty bulky stats for a substitute and a workable skillset. FE6: Trec. It's fun having an outright tank cavalier and he has a pretty solid support pool as far as I'm concerned FE8: Maybe it's just me but I feel Vanessa gets ignored often, even though she arguably competes well with Tana for best flier in the game. FE15: Deen, I honestly think as a whole he's just better than Sonya, being a lot more versatile and useful, even if he is a bit redundant in a route with 3 Mercenaries.
  2. I've noticed that the Bow Knight is a very inconsistent class with a lot of highs and lows which incarnation is your favorite? You can even list your least favorite if you like. My favorite is by far the Nomads of FE6, you get a plentiful amount of them, they're mounted from start to finish, they add to the world, and they tend to be outright better than their archer counterpart.
  3. Honestly I always just give it to the Elffin or Larum, it makes both the chapter and the rest of the game so much easier. Anyways, I've always disliked Armor Knights, both for being far behind others on attacking maps and usually being statistically bad. I've only really used them in the Archanea games and Fates, otherwise I tend not to go near them.
  4. Binding Blade will always be my favorite, it was such a great experience once I got to play it for the first time, even after playing FE13,8, and 14. I love the characters, the world of Elibe, the presentation... It all just holds a special place in my heart, and was when I really got invested in the franchise. Honorable Mention: Genealogy of the Holy War, such a grand tale with another cast and world that I just love so much.
  5. Hmm... How about doubling the Killer weapons and Wo Dao so that they get special attacks faster than Slayer weapons? At least, that's the best idea I've got.
  6. I want a Murdock GHB where you're pincered by Knights and Mages. Kinda like Zephiel's but without them being ahead of you, more of a rear assault.
  7. If we're really lucky maybe we'll get Micaiah before her calendar deadline.
  8. I'm kinda suspicious towards the "3" new Heroes thing, they've never really done this before. I have a sneaking suspicion that more is on the way, though I may just be too hopeful.
  9. I went with the Knights of Chalphy, mainly because I really like Sigurd, Lex, and Quan, Finn and Ethlyn. Not that the others are all that bad either. I kinda wish the Rebellion of Isaach was an option, because that's pretty much my true favorite, since everyone plays off each other rather well, and the selection of characters are amongst my favorites in Gen 2.
  10. Even though I'm still progressing through Thracia, I think I still have a solid idea of my favorites all-around. FE1/3/11: Hardin FE2/15: Saber FE3/12: Palla FE4: Sigurd (Gen 1)/ Arthur (Gen 2) (Felt I may as well throw in my favorite Gen 2 character considering the split, overall it's Sigurd though.) FE5: Fergus FE6: Shanna FE7: Serra FE8: Joshua FE9: Sothe FE10: Edward FE13: Virion FE14: Elise
  11. I have three different banner ideas. Used characters banner: Great Heroes 3: Ryoma, Reinhardt, Klein, Nino (Another tier focused banner) New characters banner: The Magi Squad: Brighton, Machyua, Lara, Asbel (Gotta get some more FE5) New dueling characters banner (like Alm's army and Celica's army): Dieck Mercenaries vs. Gerik Mercenaries: Dieck Mercenaries (Dieck, Lot, Wade) and Gerik Mercenaries (Gerik, Marisa, Tethys) (I want to see some cross continental events, so why not make it GBA-centric?)
  12. I've been playing both recently, I think FE11 is overall just better since it's a lot more fun to play around with, as it has more content and the reclass feature, which I'm a fan of. Book 1 also cut out certain chapters that I was actually kinda fond of, but on the plus side it made some Book 1 chapters more interesting with the character placement. Really I think both are worth checking out, but if I had to pick one it would be FE11.
  13. There's one idea that I've had in the back of my head for a while, and that's having a "horse" mechanic. The idea I had is akin to dismounting in FE3/FE5, only it allows everyone to ride them and add another layer of strategy. I think it would also do wonders for the whole "Paladins being superior to all other classes" thing that has been plaguing the series since it's inception.
  14. I think I want the route split and later merge idea to come back from FE5/FE6/FE8, and reclassing akin to how it was handled in either the DS games or Fates. BExp is also a pretty cool idea if it worked as it was in RD where the higher the difficulty the less experience gained.
  15. Fixing my Favorite (i.e. Shanna): Stop hammering in the reckless aspect across most of her supports. It gets repetitive after a while. Fixing my Least Favorite (i.e. Camilla): Stop acting so blatantly evil even when you're on the good guys side. I don't care how bad your past is, it's just uncomfortable to see someone act so maliciously and not be called out for it.
  16. I feel that FE6 overall has something of an "alright" balance. There are clearly units who are better than others, but there are still plenty of units to use that have a lot of pros and cons, and there can be argument in favor of some. It's not perfect, but it is what it is. I feel the best balanced is probably Blazing Blade, but actually for the wrong reasons. Basically everyone can be used with a solid argument, (aside from Nino and Renault as far as I can tell) but that's mainly because the enemies are so weak in comparison that really, anyone can almost solo certain maps. (i.e. Unfulfilled Heart, Cog of Destiny (normal mode anyway)) I'm not saying there isn't a balance, quite the opposite in fact, there's too much of a balance, everyone's so on equal footing that I find it kinda dull. It's one of my personal gripes with the game. I feel PoR comes close though.
  17. It really is a personal tome? Shoot. Well then no use getting her then.
  18. I got Saber. Meh, he's alright. He's probably best as skill fodder, but you never know how things play out. I'm going after Sonya next for that sexy, sexy... Dark Excalibur for Soren.
  19. You know I kinda like the banner set-up despite how simultaneously evil it kinda is. Two sides to choose from, but only so many orbs to use. As long as it's done sparingly I wouldn't mind seeing it done for stuff like: Sacae vs. Ilia, Ike's Army vs. Michaiah's Army, or Seliph's Army vs. Sigurd's Army just to get an idea. Still, while I'm starting to get some SoV fatigue it is nice to see some more characters as opposed to... costumes again.
  20. I was kinda hoping for Rudolf to come first since, you know, main villain, but I don't really mind Berkut so I can still get excited for another GHB. I guess the next question is how hard this map will be? Legion was a gigantic spike, and Clarisse was relatively easy.
  21. Again, priorities. I tend to buff up Shanna early, which makes her rather overpowered and incredibly useful for the Western Isles arc and for a majority of the game until around Chapter 21. I do think Lance and Alen are great units, but they can't fly over mountains or pits, not to mention they're just as at the mercy of their levels as Shanna is. I'm not saying their bad, just that how I play makes it so Shanna more often than not is the MVP. I also never found the appeal of Melady, she has such terrible accuracy at the point where everyone either has 80s to 100s in their accuracy. She does get better as she grows, but at that point why even bother with her if I have an overpowered Pegasus Knight already carrying me through the game? Again, different strokes for different folks, I don't think we'll see eye-to-eye on this.
  22. Basically what you said, early flier and dodgetank. If you go to the trouble to grind her at the Chapter 7 arena she pretty much becomes flying Percival for the majority of the game after she promotes in Chapter 8. I won't deny there are still other greats, (Dieck, Rutger, Lugh) but I feel she nets the best rewards. This is just me though, we all have different priorities.
  23. I want a return of some archetypes that have been shelved more recently. First off, I want a Bord and Cord, we haven't seen a true Axe-Fighter duo since Garcia and Ross in FE8, I think it's time for a revival. Second off, I want a Beowolf, These guys tend to be pretty varied, and I'm interested in what they would pick. (Dark Mage Beowolf? Myrmidon Beowolf?) Lastly, I think another Pegasus Trio would be nice, I always like seeing the contrast between three opposing types, though I think this one could use a ''shake up'' to keep things interesting.
  24. Best FE6: Shanna FE7: Marcus FE8: Seth Worst FE6: Gwendolyn FE7: Renault FE8: Knoll
  25. I personally want a Magi Squad Banner with Machyua, (Sword Infantry) Brighton, (Axe Cavalier) Lara, (Thief Dancer) and Asvel. (Green Mage) I think their pretty much solid banner material. Otherwise I'd like to fill up the fliers with Juno, (Sword Flier) Thea, (Lance Flier) Fiora, (Lance Flier) and Farina. (Sword Flier) Just to round out the Elibe fliers. I have several more ideas, but those two are the most prominent.
