  1. The "left" in a map is the west, while the "right" is the east. That's why China/Japan are in the east and America in the west, the name "western" of the movie genre, and the "wild west" should make it quite obvious.
  2. Do we know where is Jugdral? I don't think it's likely , but if Sigurd is Chrom's ancestor someone from his line has to have come to Archanea before SD/Echoes, and those ancestor could be carring their holy weapon, which if I remember correctly had dragonstones or something like that. Though I don't think thi is likely at all.
  3. Isn't it refering to Duma? I mean, he fought Naga and ended going to Valentia (the west) and clearly had a grudge against Archanea, building a tower facing said continent.
  4. The blue flames, aside from Scendscale, could come from his cape flowing or something like that. I've always asumed that Celica's move was supposed to be seraphim.
  5. This book has so many story and lore, the character backstories really help characters like Deen who have little material (that's why I'd like to know Kamui's description), and the timeline tells us cool details that we wouldn't know any other way, like the history of valentia or details like about Sirius mask or Gradivus. This makes me want another remake of FE3/12 even more, I mean while we know a lot about the chronology of Archanea, there surely are still lot's of details to be told, like if Chorm's ancestor is Sigurd, and all those characters from the games would really beneficiate from a backstory. This is really giving me hope for the Fates artbook, if it has this many details I might replay the games and even enjoy them. It's a shame that the awakening one was scarce in worldbuilding, while it had a glossary it was pretty basic, and they could have told what happened to the regalia. Also, some characters who only can have support with Robin and little more could have been given more details, like Say'ri or the Khans, but nothing can be done about that.
  6. He draw Jakob in heroes and Roy in awakening, and they really are fantastic, I'd love to have him as main artist.
  7. I mean, to each their own, but I doubt that those Drama will make me sympathise with them after reading their supports. Inigo, aside from a womanizer who tells his wife he won't stop going after girls even if he is married, shames Owain for his acting, blackmails Brady into going with him to a town to make himself look better, saying that he will tell people he saw Brady crying, just to say it anyway to strangers to make him look worse, and I'm sure he would be like this with Cynthia and his heroine thing if she wasn't a girl. this is the same person who complains about gerome not trying to get along. He claims he want to make everyone smile, and I can partially belive that, but I can't take it serously when he complains because he wants to be manhandled and has to courage to ask "why girls fall for jerks". In comparison, Laslow, while still a womanizer, is way tamer. Then we have Severa, I get that she has inferiority issues, but damn, telling Kjelle she should be more femenine, she bothers Cynthia and calls her a loser, demands that Gerome takes his mask off, spends the army's fundings without care and doesn't care when she gets called about it, and don't get me started in the whole society thing. She treats everyone as if they were lower than here, with zero respect. Even if that attitude is a facade it's still infuriating, it reminds me to the typical cheerleader cliche. End of the ranting.
  8. You could say that about japan, and you'd be wrong. In japan the marriageable age is 20, while in most of the rest of the world is 18. With parental consent though, the age is usually lowered, in japan being 16 for females and 18 for males, while in most states, and overall countries, it's lowered to 16 for everyone. The age of consent in most countries in 16, not that you should be fine with that. Also in Japan is 13 if not specified in the prefecture (or something like that), which actually explains a lot about fates... Now in topic, I ship her with Lon'qu, aside from being kind of similar in body type, his class and outfit are from a foreign reign which is strange for a member of the royal family. Also, as other have said, Lon'qu blocking an arrow for Lissa in their A-support (not even in the s so it's canon) fits perfectly with Owain's father blocking the arrows not only in their support, but in the original timeline too.
  9. I like that they were in fates, I hated Inigo and Severa in awakening, so it was good to see them a bit more mature. Even if it doesn't make sense that they are helping an evil kingdom to conquer a peaceful one.
  10. Maybe she had more supports but were scrapped, like Camilla/Cordelia but earlier in development.
  11. Even though Tharja is a clone her last string (C6 was called?) is different than Robin's. It's only one move, but at least is a cool detail. Wish they had done the same with every clone.
  12. Hey, I'd say Owain's was quite fitting for Lon'qu. Lon'qu, who doesn't want to lose another beloved one again, takes an arrow for Lissa in an ambush in their support, which also happens in Owain's B-support, where we find that he also did it in the future, though that time he didn't end well. While two of the cases depend on the father, I like fact that Lon'qu does it in his support, "canonically", so it would be a recurring theme. I also like the beginning of Laurent's support if his father is Vaike, because giving him something he found on the ground it's basically Miriel giving Vaike his axe, but that's just a detail. I'd say that Cynthia's fit everyone too. But yeah, Noire's is in the "doesn't make sense" category.
  13. It's coming on Xbox one though, and Xbox doesn't even have minor games, so I don't see any reason to not have it in switch, except maybe the power of the console.
  14. I'd be fine with the Shield of Seals making him promote, it would make sense in game and he ought to get an official one, and Falchion giving defensive buffs is fine too, but depending on the game growths I'd also lower it's weigh a bit, I remember something about Falchion making the enemy unable of counter, but I don't remember if that was in the originals, SD or if it never happened and I'm just remembering bad.
  15. Yeah, there are quite a few parts of the DS remakes that could be improved, from supports to animationS, going through "details" as important as Falchion and the Shield of Seals implementation, that's why I want another remake of FE3, even if I know it likely won't happen.
  16. Shadow Dragon: -Camus: for obvious reasons. -Xane: gameplay wise he would transform mid-combo, and I'd love to see the supports. -Barst: to have a more normal axe user. There are other characters that I would prefer over Barst, but even if it's a wishlist, I know they wouldn't bring Merric because Marth and Linde's support wouldn't make sense and Jeorge would be another Takumi clone. I'd prefer a whitewing over Barst too if the others sisters were skins. Awakening: -Panne: give me more shapeshifters, more people to use stones, if Tiki was the only character who was going to transform they could have make the stones normal items or something. -Adult Tiki: huge potential for supports, as young tiki is a joke character, they could make her use different stones like in FE3/12, or simply have her transforming normaly. -Walhart: Frederick clone. As Camus he was made to appear in a game like this. Other characters that I'd love to see would be Basilio, Cherche, Gerome and Henry, though except maybe the first they would be clones. Kellam could be interesting with a armor moveset + his disappearing kirk as special moves. My negativity tells me that we would have Donnel as a joke. And I loathe Donnel. Fates: -Kaden/Selkie: same as Panne. -Keaton/Velouria: same as Panne. Again. -Izana: not having a mage using scrolls would be a waste as they only appear in Fates. This was difficult because Fates has a lot of variety to choose a moveset from, I doubt they'd make Flora, Felicia or Jakob as we have their outfits already, but ninjas could be pretty cool, kinshi knights too, or Rinkah as oni, and dont forget the mechanists... I don't want other games until we have a secuel, Tellius doesn't interests me if they don't give us laguz.
  17. There's also an explanation for that, as you know, Anankos travels to the world of awakening after Grima is defeated, and he brings the trio sometime before the beginning of Fates. In the before awakening dlc though, Corrin encounters Chrom before awakening begins, so even if time in different outrealms passes differently, we can asume that when Anankos travels to beg for help, he is not only traveling to another world, but also the future from that world.
  18. Oh well, Chrom don't having it in Warriors make it a little better, though it's still weird that neither him nor Lucina have a shield I suppose they didn't make them wear them to not change the blocking animation. And yeah, Marth better gets the shield of seals in an alt at least, he is always portrayed with falchion when he had the shield for a longer time.
  19. I see, I would be lying if I were to say that I haven't thought about the icons and descriptions being weird for arrows. While it's true that we don't know enough about the situation, it shows that they at least cared enough to make them move again, as it happened while marching. Not really, with the introduction of outrealms it's perfectly possible that someone from Nohr or Hoshido traveled through them and arrived to Archanea/Ylisse in the past and legends appeared from it, a similar explanation to Priam being in Ylisse. Also, while I don't remember too well, didn't Anankos say to the trio in Hidden Truths that they were going to another world or something?
  20. Whelp, nothing can be done about it then. Still, the FE12 retcon changed the flamethrowers and cannons for arrows, and even if it didn't, why waste resources in a flamethrower when you already have magic? And again, as shown in Cynthia's support, they probably figured the fuel thing out if she was almost runned over by a ballista.
  21. My country's translation definitely didn't mention the sound of motor engines, and locking at the english one, the closest I see is "Missiles crashed down, rocking the earth as the enemy ballistae rumbled forward", was that it? Because that doesn't necessarily mean a motor. As for the plant thing, I haven't played FE3 nor FE12 yet, but the only thing I've seen is Beck talking about oil being necessary for the ballistaes to move, so I supposed it was used to grease the wheels or something like that. The sprites themself... yeah, they definitely look metallic, but the dissonance with the map sprite and the fact that the chapter with lots of ballisticians is called "the wooden cavalry", tells me they really aren't. And FE12 being supposedly how the story really happened kinda retcon those sprites I suppose. Also, it appears to be that there are ballisticians in awakening. We have to remember that the playable characters aren't the whole army, there are random soldiers who we don't controle, and since Cynthia is almost runned over by a ballista, we can asume that they still exist and there simply weren't any notable ballisticians or Robin's strategies made the heroes avoid the enemy ones.
  22. Something that bothers me about Falchion, aside from kinda it's name, is how inconsistent the hilt is, because it changes the weapon from an arming sword to a longsword depending on it, and we have images about him duelding Falchion with two hands, while others show the hilt being too short for it. I'd personally say that it's a longsword a weilds it with one hand like Chrom and Lucina. I'm I overthinking a fictional weapon? I totally am. Also, am I the only one bothered by Marth never being despicted with the fire emblem? I mean, I know that smash already has make everyone think about him in a certain way, but in warriors for example, he should have the shield of seals strapped to the arm like Chrom does at the very least. It also bothers me that he doesn't block with it but that's not for this conversation.
  23. I wish I was, but the "/s" at the end was for sarcasm, I had to watch the octoexpansion trailer like ten times to tone down the disappointment, and it's still there, rather strongly.
