    The Well

I loved Hotel Dusk and it's sequel, as well as Another Code. The dialogue and interactions are well written and the atmosphere the games gives off are entirely different from the over-the-top, exaggerated cartoony/anime style I'm more used to. RIP Cing The Nordic countries are really nice, just not very exiting. It helps having a small population in a relatively big area. You probably would. The reason why it's dangerous to run into moose is that they're big and heavy and might get frightened by you, but they're not exactly hostile animals. If you run into them with a car then you'll either kill or seriously injure them, but the same might happen to you and your car. I don't know much about the suitability of riding elg, but reindeers are actually used as domestic animals sometimes in the North. I think that's mainly because reindeers are easier to keep, not because elg aren't strong enough to carry people. Like most of Europe, we drive on the right side. Being wrong it's a very British thing, apparently. [spoiler=spoilerish] Prooobably June because ??????? I like Seven, Snake and Luna too, as well as the main characters. Phi's interesting, but you barely get to know anything about her so I'm really hoping for that sequel!!!!11 I live right beside one actually, but I can feel the tug at my heartstrings whenever I'm away I'll probably go with EO3 then, thanks! Right now the weather is grey with occasional bouts of rain. It was better in April. 1) Norway: Pros: Fjords, Roald Dahl (sorta), we're rich, it's very chill here Cons: Not much history. Norway's been some land traded back and forth between Denmark and Sweden for the longest time, and became independent from Denmark in 1814 just to immediately get in an union with Sweden until 1905. gg Denmark and Sweden are historically more interesting than Norway, unless you count the Viking age which applies for the other Nordic countries anyway. Norway has mostly been farms and villages, cities are a new thing so there's only like three of them with any historical value. Sweden: Pros: Civilization, Ikea, Astrid Lingren, the language probably sounds the best Cons: Lack of fjords, overall the countries are pretty similar, but nowadays Norway are doing generally better in terms of wages, unemployment, working conditions and so on. Denmark: Pros: Hans Christian Andersen They seem to have the most fun. The stereotype is that they're the least uptight Scandinavians and are jolly chaps that like to drink beer and eat sausages which is likely a side-effect of being neighbors with Germany. Danish travel agencies in Norway has used the catchphrase "It's great to be Norwegian in Denmark" for many years. Same ads also point out that "The Scream" is the most famous Norwegian painting while Denmark has "Hip, Hip, Hurrah!". They're also the only Scandinavian country that has proper sand beaches. Cons: Lack of fjords, the entire country is too flat for me, the language is a garbled mess, their number system is retarded 2) In general I like Chinese culture, I like the food, art, artifacts, traditions, history, language etc. I'm not even very good at reading and even worse at writing, but it's a pretty cool system. The food culture is also just so much more impressive than the Scandinavian, where traditionally you ate food to not starve. The diversity and availability of food, snacks and street food is something I miss the most after I get back from visits to China. There's also a mentality of respecting your elders and working hard when you're young that's kinda lacking over here. China's always had it's issues though, and modern day China is a corrupt mess, but I like how bustling and busy it is over there. I don't want to live there though, the corruption's bad enough that distrust of strangers, general paranoia and cynism is necessary to function in daily life and you need contacts to get just about anything done, including stuff like not buying poisoned food and getting correct medical treatment. The pollution is also getting insufferable, and there's the part about communism and censorship. 3) My dad was sent here to study to become and petroleum engineer by some sort of government program, and just ended up staying. Mom married him and moved over here.

I don't mind! It's like 98% fanart though. http://scribbledabble.tumblr.com/ (tags and categories here for easier navigating) Should mention that it isn't spoiler free, even if there shouldn't be anything too big. If you're currently playing any of the franchises I've mentioned in a few posts above, you might want to be careful.

Nope, go ahead! Great game that used the DS interface in a cool way and had a fresh take on JRPGs both in gameplay, style and aesthetics, Shame About That Sequel. I had a lot of fun with it and I wish more JRPGs tried out new stuff like that, the genre is too samey at times. That said, not all of the characters clicked with me and it got a bit pretentious at times, but I liked the story overall.

It's a friendly neighbor joke where we constantly mock and tries to outdo each other in petty competitions like the having the most gold medals in the olympics but its's a fact that Norway is superior to Sweden anyway Ace Attorney, Professor Layton, Mother, Tales of, Golden Sun, Zelda, Zero Escape, Hotel Dusk, Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon etc In general I like adventure games, JRPGs and some indie games. Haven't tried EO yet, but I'd like to give it a proper try! If we're only talking about the DS games, would 2 or 3 be better to start with? Might get Untold if I can get into dungeon crawlers. Yeah it is a fun coincidence Baldrick we need to actually win a scumgame togetheeeeer ;_; 1. I thought both Math and Economics were okay in High School, so I thought why not go for a degree in Mathematics and Economics. At University I realized I actually didn't like Economics, but Mathematical Finance has nothing to do whatsoever with Political Economics and I like mathematics and probability so again why not. Also it's easy to get a job since kids here hate math, there's just not many people who study the same. 2. I live in the Oslo, the capital, but my family lives in the suburbs and it's already pretty rural there. There's a lot of elg here, but it's not something you see on a daily basis. Still, these are some of the most common roads signs outside cities: I saw one a few months ago on the road while driving by my parents house and I'd forgotten how big they are. You'd almost think they're just huge deers, but they're more like big, fat horses. They have almost hedgehog intelligence when it comes to crossing roads, but these are like driving into a moving brick wall. 3. Norwegian, Chinese and English. I understand Danish and Swedish and know some horribly mangled, basic French. 4. 我还是喜欢旅行,但不去银行就没有钱去旅游啊。。。

My family likes traveling, so we've been to a few European road trips during summer vacations when I was young, and everyone in Scandinavia has been to the other countries because it's just so easy. You can either drive or take a boat trip, and the language and culture is similar. We also visit China every few years, and we have relatives in both Japan and the US so we used that as an excuse to go visit the countries. My dad's an engineer and worked in Abu Dhabi for half a year, so we visited him too. It's made me love traveling after I've grown up too, so I've been to quite a few places on my own and with friends. I was an exchange student in Singapore for half a year, so I went backpacking in Asia after the semester ended. The countries I'd like to visit next (that I haven't been to before) are New Zealand/Australia, Somewhere In Africa, Somewhere In South America, Iceland and South Korea.

1)When Awakening was announced and I was looking for news and info I stumbled across SF. 2)I've played 7, 8, 13 and a bit of 6, 10 and 11. I'd like to play 9 before actually playing 10 and was planning to play 12, I think I just forgot. Looking forward to 14. 3)I still don't think I'm very good at being scum either, but general effort goes a long way. Since this is SFmafia there's usually some flake that's going to look worse than you, at least until PoE. Try to be very average, have some correct scum reads and some fake ones, don't be too townie and so on. Find a balance of bland and good. General tip is to convince yourself that there's scum you don't know of. You know who's mafia and who's not, but I find it easier to fake scumhunting by pretending to be ITP hunting. 3)Off the top of my head, in no particular order: - Tatami Galaxy - Fullmetal Alchemist (Manga/Brotherhood) - Space Dandy - Cardcaptor Sakura - Cowboy Bebop I also like occasionally watching/reading shounens, but FMA is probably the only one I've enjoyed throughout, they tend to deteriorate in quality as they drag on. I liked the anime of CCS better than the manga. Of mangas I also read Pokemon Special and I liked Koe no Katachi, even if the end was a bit lacking. 4)I like drawing, handicrafts, video games, being with friends, being outside, sometimes being outside drawing or being outside with friends. I generally spend too much time on the internet but I've realized I don't enjoy it that much. I like to go traveling in vacations. 5)Nah, SF fulfills all my mafia needs.

1.This is what I found of pictures at hand: [spoiler=pencil case] [spoiler=stamp] 2. It was mainly because why not, on the internet no one knows you're a dog etc. It's interesting so see how you're perceived on the internet compared to irl when there's slightly different assumptions. Girls also get more attention on the internet almost by default, and like Boron can confirm, you're more likely to get unwanted attention if people think you're a girl. 3. My favorite novel is Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder, which I read when I was about 16-17. I probably wouldn't have liked it as much as I do if I had read it at a very different age (or if I had it spoiled), but it was the book I needed at that age. I'm in general fond of Gaarder's books, he does a good job of integrating Philosophy into his storytelling. 4. College isn't free in Europe in general, but in the Nordic countries they are. Denmark and Sweden has both started to collect tuition fees from international students, though. I have no idea how to write college applications, here we they just look at your grades when you apply and that's it! 1)* I think college is stupidly expensive in the US and the UK and sorta reasonable most other places. 2)I do, but I'm very casual and pretty bad. I've yet to play the Wii u version, so my favorite so far is Melee, 3DS has nice mechanics but the controls just aren't as comfy. 3)I've mained Pikachu since SSB64. For the latest games I also like Villager and Yoshi. I liked Lucas a lot too. 4)I've just always mained Pikachu, and he's always decent. Villager is sorta gimmicky but tons of fun. Not even sure why I like using Yoshi and Lucas. 0) Ehhh, I could, but I won't be very active in addition to being in a time zone unsuitable for OC. 1) Because he's a butt 2) Potential omni-backup with lotsa PRs in big NOCers 3) Actually clearing my PRs so I became omni-backup in big NOCers 1) I stopped signing up! [spoiler=1)]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8eLD32uOow 2) Not sure if ice cream is anything special over here, but I sure appreciate some good ice cream! 挺好的。 I'm fine, bit busy with upcoming exams. Scandinavian winters and summers can be very nice, as long as there's snow in the winter and not raining in summer. The nature here's great, if you like hiking and being outdoors. I don't mind the winter as much as the period before it starts snowing, really. I'm Chinese, you pronounce it as you Gonna cheat and just say I like Markov Chains, which is a pretty important part of finance mathematics but also a big part of whatever kind of modeling and optimization. It's just a very nice, basic concept that can be tweaked and made more complex to suit a lot of applications. I tend to like basic, but versatile concepts. The Chapman-Kolmogorov equation, which again is pretty basic, but that's one of the main properties that make Markov Chains useful. I prefer probability, lot more elegant than statistics. Statistics tend to look messy.

    1. Favorites are Big NOCers, Toonami and RTFR. I'm not sure what I'd deem as the least favorite, several games has instances I've been unhappy with but in hindsight I can't think of any game where everything was terrible. I never stay very mad at mafia games. 2. Boron, Baldrick, SB, eclipse Never been scumbuddy with BBM, but he seems pretty cool as scum too. 3. Gotta admit I like survivor best, even if it's a borderline troll role. I guess it's something with having a role that's essentially worthless to others and at best a nuisance. 4. I've been to the west, south and bit in the middle. The West is especially nice, it's where the fjords and mountains and Frozen-like scenery are. The regional differences nowadays are biggest in terms of dialects and maybe some foods, else I'd say there's bigger differences between cities and rural areas. There's also slight cultural and behavior differences that are always made fun of by stand-up comedians and the like. Though, I've also visited Svalbard, which is entirely different from the rest of the world, not to mention Norway. There's no trees there and more polar bears than people, for one. Realtalk there's been a lot of Swedes moving to Norway the last few years, so even they agree!

    1) You need to be a bit more specific about "weird stuff", but yeah, a lot of Norwegians hate cold, it's very common to move to Spain or Thailand after retirement. Canada and North America are in general considered cool by many young people, for some reason. We're a small country, we get a lot of pop culture from there, maybe that's why? 2) Norway is a very nice place, if a bit mundane. We've got agood welfare state, the country is generally rich due to being an oil state with a small population, equality is very good both in terms of gender in society, income and class, some public services are free (though tax rates are high) like health services and school fees, unemployment is low, there's little pollution and there's some really beautiful nature and environments here. That said, winters are cold here, and it never gets very warm even if it can be nice in summer. The cold doesn't bother me as much as the dark though. Because we're so far up north, summers have long days with almost constant daylight but in the winter there's almost none. You get up, go to school and it's still dark, and by the afternoon it's dark again. It's not as bad when there's snow outside and things are a bit brighter but times like November makes me want to hibernate. Also, it's a small country and there's just not much over here. The welfare state is a bit too good to the point of naivety at times, Scandinavians in general can appear reserved and a bit cold (unless they're drunk) and depression is not uncommon over here, especially among young people. I wouldn't mind living and working in other countries for some time, but I like Norway and I'm pretty sure I'll stay here for a more permanent basis. I grew up here, have friends and know the culture, I like doing some really Norwegian things like cross-country skiing, hiking and being outdoors. Also working conditions here can barely be beat anywhere else. 3) In general, my reads in mafia aren't very good. This is partly due to not having much practise, usually I'm scum so my reads are fake. Thus I'm not very good at picking out what could be scum intent or what tells mafia comes up with, and these are individual and requires you to understand the mindset of different people. I also don't stand out when playing and I think I somewhat lack conviction, I rarely lead lynches or convince people of reads. This too is probably related to being scum a lot, you don't want to draw too much attention as scum. There was also a while when being scum made me nervous and I felt guilty about screwing up in relation to my scum mates, but people are usually cool about that, actually. 4) To quote myself: You learn a lot from interacting with actual human beings! To be honest, I'm pretty average when it comes to people skills, but hey, so are most people. I used to be a bit awkward though, which is why I actively seeked out new groups of people, work, activities, gatherings and organizations. Being open-minded and willing to try out stuff outside your comfort zone helps too. I started out as good student with little people skills at University, and I felt that everyone was more mature and at ease than me at parties and gatherings. Now I'm a kinda bad student, but I'm a lot more comfortable with myself in relation to society and people. Others won't really judge you as hard as you do to yourself though, and just listening to conversations and interacting with people on things like assignments, work or projects will help. Having actual things to talk about can teach you about how to talk about pleasantries and nonsense like small talk. Also, know your limits, or at least try out stuff so you learn what they are. I'm introverted by nature, so even if I have a good time I get tired from being in big groups with people for too long. My people skills are mostly learned, I'm not a natural at speaking with people. I can work with people and co-operate well, but I'm not comfortable as the main leader. Learn to be self-aware and comfortable with yourself. If you can judge yourself accurately, you'll know how you appear to other people and what your personality and skills are. If you're not comfortable with yourself, strangers you meet won't be either. Self-confidence ties to self-awareness, too much and you're obnoxious, too little and people won't know how to handle you and becomes uncomfortable. Being with relaxed and calm people is relaxing, being with nervous and stressed people is stressing. tl;dr: Don't be too self-conscious, try to relax and interact with people more! Wow, I don't think I've ever posted a wall like this before even in mafia.
  16. Postgame later, but a general comment on this one: Both couriers/announce and phase swappers were things requested in the postgame of the previous AM/PM, and I disagree with them ruining the gimmick since day phase still had votes and night players the majority of actions, and it was still very limited what you could do outside your own phase. We probably should've had fewer couriers/announces yeah, but last game players expressed frustration with not being able to interact or affect the other phase at all.

    The Well

Oh, hi, I'm j00. I'm currently studying Mathematical Finance at the University of Oslo, and I've been playing mafia since late 2012, my first game being Mystery Mafia. I like playing, but only join games sporadically because I had too much activities going on for a while and can't do time management. There was also a time where I kept rolling scum which made games more stressing, but I've a more manageable schedule this year so I hope to play more games in the near future. I like drawing, playing video games, traveling, reading, carving rubber stamps and sewing pencil cases. I've also done a random assortment of (mostly voluntary) work within student organizations, charities, tutoring and silly student orchestras and I generally like trying out stuff even if I fail spectacularly at them. Since I set my gender to male and generally like being a vague, slightly misleading non-entity on the internet, there's probably some random misconceptions around me I've done nothing to debunk, so feel free to ask me questions. My surname is literally You. Yeah I'm not very creative with names, alternate usernames include "u" and "uuuuu" for usernames that require at least five letters. Hey now, we're cool enough to visit each others houses too! There isn't much of a Chinese community in Norway, but my family do know other Chinese families. Most of them came here as students and stayed here and have kids around my age I grew up with. Also, there's seems to be quite a few Chinese exchange students here the last few years, which has a lot to do with there being zero tuition fees in Norwegian Universities. There's probably a student organization for them, I'm not sure. Parents are Chinese, I'm born and raised in Norway.
