It wasn't rude, don't worry. : ) I did so just now. I played the game so long ago and am less familiar with its lore, so am not actually sure what's new or not until I see the reactions in the thread. xD

Double post, but phew big update here! Thanks to the many translators (including VincentASM) for coming together to help. I also did Duma's profile as well as the first concept art pages! He does, though not as many. I'll get them up later on. The communication has been better between the two, too. I believe Echoes was the first FE game that was concurrently localized while in development (hence its much thinner date range between Japanese and localized release), though I do not have a source for this, just a guess. It would likely mean NoJ had access to the localized names with ease and were aware of such. Either way they saved me a lot of trouble aside from poor Randal!

Ah indeed that says "occasional separation" which also implies multiple times. As such, the initial translation is more correct to that meaning. : ) And double checked the official localization: " "Tatiana prayed that Zeke's memory would remain hazy, and the two eventually did live something of a happy life. Though they were parted at times, Zeke always returned to Tatiana's side in the end." " Which lines up too! Okay, so time to revert that back to the initial translated version. Glad we got that cleared up. : )

Was his English ending different than Japanese? I only played in Japanese, and even then don't remember what it was. xD I can easily resolve it depending on what conclusion we reach. Your translation made sense to me though since I figured maybe he would go on and off to visit other places but always return, so I didn't think there was any issue with it. The Japanese leans more toward just one long time rather than multiple times, though, as does what the others were saying. So I'm not really sure myself. xD As for Berkut, I see where the translator made a mistake. It more accurately says, "after he took Fernand under his command." I'll fix it. I suppose I really ought to check these more closely huh? xD Apologies for the inconvenience. Here it is edited:

Yep! I found some translators (including those on historyoftheemblem on tumblr) to help outsource some profiles too! They send it back to me and I put it back onto the page. I do skim the translations for consistency when possible, but in editing it is easier to miss the minor things (such as Tatiana the mage) than it is when translating yourself. So I appreciate the error corrections. Know that the gist of the main profile is reliable though! Noted about Kamui! I looked over Zeke's profile, and you are correct. The original Japanese said "for a time" rather than "from time to time." It's rare for VincentASM to make mistakes so I don't check his as thoroughly! It will be fixed and reflect in the next picture update. Thanks! EDIT: Both errors resolved.

That is more toward what I was thinking. I believe that was the point they were making, as they describe Fafnir with the same title as The Creation ("Fell Dragon") hence the "fittingly." Though that does not reflect in the translation as I'd have to write "Fell Dragon Fafnirs" or "Fell Fafnirs" which makes things more confusing. xD

These books have made mistakes before, so it may indeed be a mistake on the book side. I'll add a translation note that the book likely made an error and they meant those two fire dragons. Or perhaps I can change it directly in the translation ("guarded by countless monsters which included dragons") Which approach do you all think is better?

Hmm the text indeed says Fafnirs! ( 邪竜ファフナー ) the katakana lined up with the enemy of the same name. I'll review the paragraph in case of grammar errors I may have made. What was around in the game itself? EDIT: Looked at it again, the most I can change it would be "guarded by countless monsters including the wicked Fafnir." Are there any down there at all? Also the wording may sound like the room was guarded by it, but I think they mean the Labyrinth as a whole.

So here is The Creation's profile. It doesn't actually say much, or anything --but that may be because they left that to the Secret lore that VincentASM is in the process of translating more of. Duma is next on the tally. I'll try to do his concept art along with it (as well as Nuibaba as it mentions she wears a death mask, wonder if it's related to the above)

Thanks for all the work! I knew there would be something nice in there lore wise. I could've sworn there wasn't much in the game itself in comparison, but wasn't sure as I didn't play it as thoroughly so left it in the hands of someone more familiar. xD I would prefer they not force it too hard beyond what it already puts in there, yeah. xD

Wow all this speculation and discussion makes me warm inside! I'm used to Tellius Recollection that didn't really have anywhere near as much activity xD (Then again it didn't really reveal too many new things either). Ah! I wish I knew that page existed. Going forward I'll adjust the terms to the ones displayed here, and fix the Sonya page by the end too.

I'll double check the translation, as I was skimming it and it looked fine for the most part. I do see where the error occurred now though, so it shall be fixed. EDIT: All fixed! I can see how they got confused by the way the line is written. But it was not an error in the original Japanese. All images updated to show it. Thanks!

New profile! While I work on the requests, I put together Sonya and Deen's translations from guest translators! Deen has an added backstory for those who may not have read it on tumblr already.

Sure, no worries. : ) I'll add the witch class to the tally. Hopefully it'll reveal something. Yes, the feeling I got is something like that. The book was vague and just said "eventually became a witch" so through whatever means... xD They leave that up to us to figure out. Or perhaps the long life was there already from the pact but then had to sacrifice someone while obsessed with selfish desires such as beauty and power... or something. Let's see!

Perhaps it's in the story summary section or section that talks about Draco Zombies in general. I'll keep an eye out for you though. But I believe he is indeed the Draco Zombie summoner/maker.

Alright I have started a tally like last time and basically will do the highest priority ones first. Nuibaba is one that I saw many are interested in so may tackle her first.

I resolved the Gray and Tobin issue. Their page is now up. Thanks to all who pointed it out! I did see that new tidbits were being revealed in the profiles. I was thinking it would be like Tellius Recollection where barely anything new came about. But now i see there is plenty of new information. I reached out to those translators to see if I can use their work (and edit it if needed), and will start gathering other translators to see if we can get through the vast amount of profiles in a way that satisfies demand without any of us overworking. : ) For people in this thread, any preferences on which profiles you want to see translated first? Everybody who has a full body portrait has a profile attached, so feel free to pick! Concept art I still will do in the background slowly!
