  1. This really sums up my thoughts exactly. The theme of the story and the whole waifu thing clash with eachother, which makes both parts feel like different games. The problem with the supposed incest in this game is that unlike Geneology, it isn't contextually bound. Outside of Cousin/Cousin, Incest was not actually condoned in Geneology. Arvis and Deirdre were unaware of their shared mother at their time of union, Seliph backed off of Julia when he found out she was his half sister, and Altenna/Arione is implied to be a secret affair. This game however just treats it as any other pairing. This is further made creepy in the fact that some of the Nohr sibling's lines in FE Amie still have them acknowledging you as their sibling despite being married to the Avatar. The siblings have and always will identify the Avatar as their sibling. Which makes it still seem incestuous despite the fact that they have no blood relations. I'd be fine with the Nohr sibling marriage if they didn't really refer to you as their sibling at least after marriage, but that obviously isn't the case.
  2. they're definitely the ones from Awakening's bad future. They reference going back in time and their Harvest Scramble conversation (Which is one of my favorites in that dlc pack). My theory on Not!Tharja and the others is that they are the ancestors of the characters from Awakening (Which opens up another can of worms).
  3. My original character L.E Would. In all seriousness, I will just default everything (even Asset/Flaw) beacuse I am no fun.
  4. They most likely mean your siblings on both sides and maybe a few others. You probably can still cradle rob what with Not!Tharja seemingly being in the game.
  5. I didn't like them at first, but now I'm willing to give the mechanic a chance. It may be Hoshido exclusive due to the limited time to build supports. I think most of us have our expectations low, so there's more of a chance to be surprised.
  6. Do we actually know that the kids are based off of the father or are we inferring this because of Kamui (Which is just how it worked with F!Morgan).
  7. But the pushed pairings made sense and felt that there was chemistry which most Awakening supports can't say. The forced pairings were only set in stone in order to further strengthen the story and raise tension during the final moments of the 1st generation. Fe4 1st gen takes place over 3-5 years so there is a lot of time for romance to bloom, so the relationships had more of an impact and was more heartbreaking when we see how most won't have a happy ending. But this is really just an argument of quality vs quantity which is completely opinionated.
  8. The only good thing that came of this for me is that other people will enjoy the game. I personally hate this as, unlike Awakening, this will and NOTHING to the narrative. Part of the narrative in Awakening is about time travelling to stop the destruction of the world by Grima. You could feasibly tie in marriage to what the game is centered around. But this makes no sense whatsoever as there is no point for there to be time travel or some half baked Outrealm nonsense. It honestly just seems arbitrary to put the mechanic in the game if only to pander to the fans of Awakening romance. Unless it is a bonus thing, it really contributes nothing to the whole "Your choice of allegiance will change history" thing.
  9. If this is true, I've basically lost hope in Fates trying to be it's own original thing.
  10. Thank you so much! We really wouldn't know so much about the game and its mechanics without you!
  11. 1. Hollywood standards are different from real life standards 2. Fredierick's penis isn't exposed, he is wearing pants and on a m mount 3. It's implied that Orochi pleasures the captive in some way in order for him to join, it is unknown if she is simply doing something similar to the DQ8 puff puff scene or if she is straight up having sex with the captive. https://kantopia.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/fire-emblem-4tt.jpg
  12. I'm sure if someone walked around looking like Camilla, they would attract even more attention because she doesn't even make an effort to cover herself up. People don't complain about her as much because her design matches her character. From what we've seen, Orochi's supposed to be promiscuous as shown by her way of "persuading" captured units. Vaike's a borderline narcissist so it would kinda make sense for him to walk around like that . Camilla's design makes no sense because all we know about her is that she is doting to Kamui, Prefers the company of strong women, and being a maternal figure to her siblings. There is absolutely no reason for her to dress like this given what we know about her character. I'm sure most people wouldn't guess her personality based on her design alone.
  13. Just because Cherche's design is equally silly and counter intuitive to her class doesn't mean Camilla's design gets a free pass. I'm pretty sure that about every female Wyvern Rider in the series has armor on as the class in canon is supposed to be a tank. Camilla's design also loses further merit because both Belka and Crimson, the other two Wyvern Riders wear armor, which stays true to how the class has generally looked. Not to go even further off topic with the whole "Frederick's junk thing" but Camilla's Armor does not cover up her chest which is obviously where her heart is. Practically speaking most people are going to aim for the chest if it is exposed on a mounted enemy then the groin. Also the Frederick thing is obsolete because it isn't revealing in the way Camilla is. If Camilla wore something to cover her chest. but her chest was still prominent in her design, people wouldn't complain because she is still covered up while still keeping her voluptuous design. If Frederick didn't wear pants, I could see this being a fair point, but he does which makes this argument make no sense and is overall dumb as his armor is practical in a way where it would protect his vital areas.
  14. I see what people are upset about, but what I am confused about is how people jump to people saying male Kamui is featured more prominently in the recent Famitsu issue is sexist when there could be so many other variables that could answer a simple question. These could be, and are not limited to: 1. There is already a female lead For me, this was the first conclusion I came up with. Aqua, the mysterious songstress, has arguably appeared in more FE:IF media than any other character so far. It has been shown and speculated that she will be a central character to the plot and will get ample amounts of screen time. The developers may have chose to represent M!Kamui just to have the frequently used Male/Female leads. To me, this makes sense as Aqua will be a major character regardless of Kamui's gender. 2. It was convenient to use the snapshots they had. Face it, most people would probably used pre-made gameplay photos for the public just because it is convenient and already of sufficient quality. As others have pointed out, it would be silly and arbitrary to take new snapshots of F!Kamui in the same, already made scenarios just because she wasn't shown prominently in the latest Famitsu. 3. F!Kamui is associated with Nohr. ^ This basically sums up another reason which makes perfect sense. In the Pokemon games, which the two routes have been compared to, the two default characters you can choose are generally associated with each version (X with Calem, Y with Serena and so on). FE:IF has already done this with both genders being shown on one of the two box arts. We may see more of F!Kamui soon if we get a new leak that focuses on the Nohr route and characters.
  15. I think that they're trying to simplify the Hoshido route a little TOO much compared to the Nohr route. It's pretty obvious now that Hoshido is supposed to be like Awakening at this point which is fine, but what I don't like is how it seems that Nohr is the more complex deep challenging version. For example, Hoshido, as of now, has a more simple story and more free roam gameplay Whereas Nohr has promised more complex plot and characters, limited resources, harder difficulty, and varied level objectives. Comparing the two so far, it would seem that what they are doing is trying to appease both new and old players. But I don't think that having a more simple game is the way to go for new fans. It's fine to keep things from Awakening, but don't just make it easy and more tame than what Nohr has. My biggest problem however, is the separation between the moral and gameplay choice. There are already some people that think that a moral choice shouldn't be which version you buy, but my personal decision is cut between the gameplay and choice. The game from what we know is about the Choices you make (I mean the title of the game is a rhetorical question) and I'm fine with that. I am on team Hoshido because I like the designs better and the thought of helping your birthland. But I prefer the gameplay route of Nohr and the promise of a challenge and more variety with the level design. I' ll probably end up getting both to experience both games. But my main point is that if IS wants to make a game with more drastic choices, that's fine. But they should at least both have equally complex stories and similar difficulty choices.
  16. I don't feel that what IS is doing is underhanded at all really. While I can see where people are coming from. The two games apparently play differently as Nohr has more limited resources and Hoshido is more like Sacred Stones and Awakening. If there really just trying to stay faithful to their older demographic while still trying to please the new fans and/or let them try out a recent FE similar to the classics that is fine. Sure some feel that this could be a difficulty option, I agree with Ownagepuffs that it was a better move to make two games on a system more people have than on a new system that chances are, not many people have due to virtually no new software as of now. This could be said of MANY franchises that do two versions or DLC in a similar way.
  17. Silver Sword "I guess I only saw... the silver lining" But seriously, if this whole unbreakable weapon idea is true, how will this affect Nohr path's whole limited resources idea?
  18. If this is true I'm going to say Kamui is Ryouma's half brother due to him having some unconfirmed amount of manakete blood.
  19. Team make two files and do both! But I'll probably do the Nohr route just for more complex story. (Also, when have voluptuous characters ever been good in Fire Emblem?)
  20. He's saying don't try to acquianted something if not well acquainted with the source material.
  21. I'd take my cartridges of FE to show the inhabitants that their entire existence is a lie.
  22. Still doesn't know why he chose his name.
