  1. This thread should serve as a little guide for all the people who are going to play FE10's hard mode for the first time. Credits go to Quintessence and RadiantDragon who supported me in this. 1. What are the exact differences between normal and hard mode? 2. Which units should get FE9 boosts in which stats? 3. Which Dawn Brigade characters should be used and how? 4. Supports 5. Skills 6. Which items should be bought and stolen? 7. Who shall get which items? 8. Strategies for endgame 9. Other things
  2. Hey everyone, I'm posting this thread for Illumina25, who is a new user and thus can't make threads. We've both tried to solve this problem with no luck for a few days, so I hope one of you can help him. Here is his problem in his own words: I have been hacking Radiant Dawn recently, and have understood editing weapon/unit stats and text in general. However I have been having trouble editing the animation for weapons in battle. My exact problem is that essentially I want to make Leonardo's bow into a spear. However, the weapon keeps the animation of the original weapon even if you switch it, i.e. changing Ragnell into an axe and giving it the Urvan icon, it still looks like Ragnell in battle, but has Ike's "axe" model on the map. I have tried a few things as follows: In FE10Data.cms, that file really only affects the stats of a weapon, I basically know what each pointer and byte does in the item stats, as explained in the FE10 hacking notes. The only thing that affects the model of the weapon in any way is the ID, the first 4 bytes of the weapon. For example, changing Ragnell's ID into Caladbolg's ID removes Ragnell from Ike's inventory and replaces Caladbolg in the convoy. Its name is still Ragnell, it's still Ike only, and everything else, however the weapon model in battle is Caladbolg. However, this replaces a weapon which I do not want to do. Since I figured that the Data file did not have to do with weapon animations, I went to FE10Battle.cms and looked there. I sort of have an idea of how this is broken down (as its not in the FE10 notes I believe), which I can post if necessary, but changing the pointers there did not really do anything. The only change that worked was essentially changing the EID pointer of a weapon, which changes the "hit" effect when hitting an enemy. Then I just decided to look through the rest of the game on WiiScrubber, and found toward the end files labelled under "xwp." This seemed to have every weapon in the game, including ones not used. I tried replacing Urvan with the Ragnell file to see if that would change the model, but instead just caused it to crash only when using it with animations on. In short, I've tried all I know and don't know what else to try. I feel like changing the model of a weapon in battle should be easy. I understand pointers/offsets/etc in HxD and understand how to use WiiScrubber to extract and replace, so feel free to explain how in any way. TL;DR - I tried what I know, not sure how to change the model of a weapon in battle.
  3. Hello all, I've been busy the last few weeks working on a reverse recruitment patch for Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. So far I've been able to change al units to their corresponding counterparts up until 1-4. from that point onward, you have a Base, with Base conversations. To trigger the base conversations, you need certain characters in your party. (E.G.: Micaiah & Sothe for the Recruit Meg convo) This is where I started running into trouble. Since Micaiah had been replaced with Lehran and Sothe has been replaced with Caineghis, the conversations cannot be triggered. I've tried editing the SCRIPTS file, however, changing the PID.[Charactername] offsets did not yield any results. So far I haven't been able to find out how to change base convo requirements. If anyone is knowledgeable about this, I would appreciate the help. The other method I was thinking of was just adding Meg(Or her counterpart rather) to the party immediately, nullifying the need for the convo. Sadly, My work in de DISPOS_C and DISPOS_H files once again failed to deliver any results. I couldn't locate the part in the 68(hex) bits for whether or not a character is part of your current party. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have read the entirety of the RD hacking notes, which were a great help, however, this piece of code is unknown as far as that topic is concerned.
  4. Since I saw sth. like this about 5-6 years ago, I'd find it interesting to do sth. like this again. Each day an unit of FE10 is represented to be rated. The rating is based on hard mode and a normal run. I made an own calculation how to determine the score of each unit. You can copy this, but you can also rate everyone individually. current ranking: Day 1: Micaiah level 1 light mage personal skill: sacrifice affinity: darkness bases / growths HP: 15 (40%) strength: 2 (15%) magic: 7 (80%) skill: 8 (40%) speed: 7 (35%) luck: 10 (90%) defense: 2 (20%) resistence: 4 (90%) bases 4.5 / 10 (30%) Her base level is in average three leveles lower than the enemies. At least in the prologue no generic can orko her which will change in the Next chapter if she has leveled either HP or defense. growths 6.5 / 10 (20%) Her growths are fitting for her class she will become a powerful range weapon user and good staff user later on thanks to her high magic. With her mediocre speed she won't be able to double (even with resolve if her speed is low). Sine her magic and resistance are capped fast her speed ban be fixed with bexp. ease of use 7 / 10 (50%) Since Micaiah is a fragile and slow she belongs in the second row. In earlygame she's the best chipper and can oneshot early game bosses. In part three she'll be mainly busy with healing. She fulfills the role of the classical mage perfectly. The fact that she's a lord and is being killedis a minor issue but justified by her class. Still a bit more speed would be nice. Sacrifice is a pseudo-healing skill. Unfortunately with her low HP she can't heal all that much, but it's still good to have in emergency cases.. And it gives her the opportunity to make use skills like wrath or resolve. Darkness is a good affinity for sure. It increases her attack power and her supporting unit benefits from Evasion. Her default Support with Sothe is really useful. overall 6.15
  5. Enemy unit leadership stars Pros: Encourages you to approach combat differently, since assassinating enemy sub-commanders will allow you to debuff armies rather than fighting them at their full strength. Cons: Flat stat bonuses aren't always a good way to create a challenge. Especially in the case of hit and avoid. Fire emblem AI does not focus on walling off it's support characters. (although it's not a complicated AI to program as shown by games like Vantage Master). FE4 and FE10 use enemy's starting position to forcefully provide a simile of this, but they can be forced out of it far easier than a human or a strategy game AI would and make no effort to get back into this position once they get out of it. In some cases, if you can kill an enemy leader, then you are probably done with the map anyway (or 1 seize turn away), so sticking around to fight weakened becomes tedious and non-threatening. (grind abuse VS something like an early finish bonus) This can be avoided with larger maps or multiple bosses, but those open up their own problems. If the stat bonuses are too large then killing leaders overshadows all other aspects of the combat design (Ogre Battle SNES and N64 being examples of this) Visual confusion if you have enemies benefiting from both an overall leader and a sub-boss leader at same time, some units only receiving bonus from their own group, etc. Maps designed to allow for assassinations are often unnatural (even in other genres) and tend to go ham on player advantages or forcing players to follow a "script" Player unit leadership stars Pros: Encourages you to deploy units that you might not otherwise. gameplay advantages of more hit/avoid Allows a representation of charisma or tactical ability for characters in the story rather than the cursor and unit selector. Cons: In FE10 the effect was free and map wide, which allows for a version of FE 13-14's "backpacking" problem - leadership units could be deployed and left at your base or out of combat solely for the bonus with no risk and don't really add to the scenario. You don't need to position the leadership unit to get the advantage of the effect as with more conventional support bonus buffs or abilities like FE5's charm. (Or something like Langrisser's / Days of Ruin leadership zone) Protecting your VIP to keep the leadership boost as long as possible doesn't really add a gameplay dynamic in a FE context the way microing a "Stimpack" unit in a strategy game does. This is because of the encouragement to keep ALL troops alive, which means that most players will already be moving units conservatively to being with. FE10 overbalances the mechanic, to the point where it's possible to totally ignore it during a blind playthrough. If it was too beneficial, you would have a situation where players would feel obliged to always commit a deployment spot for these characters, which works against the freedom of army composition that Fire Emblem traditionally encourages. It's generally suggested to be placed on Lord units for story/flavor reasons, but in cases where those characters are force-deployed (a design choice of most FE games), it has no functional difference than having all the characters have higher base stats.
  6. What if the fire emblem heroes were to fall and all their adventures were given to random people? The fire emblem has been corrupted by the presence of the fell dragons, now a lone group of adventurers must travel to the different worlds and pick up where the fallen heroes started. (roleplay is welcome to everyone, would prefer it if we roleplayed on discord. Canon and ocs are allowed
  7. So I really wanted to give this a try and seeing as how the other two FE 10 drafts seem to be dead, let's apply that old adage third times the charm and see if we can actually get past the first round of picking . 9. I feel like Jarod is under credited as the main antagonist of part 1, and when people bring up villains done right in the Fe series I'm surprised that Jarod is never mentioned. This is just my opinion and I'm going off memory here so correct me or tell me if I missed some things or was wrong, but Jarod was not your average staple on plain evil doer villain that so many people categorize him as. From the moment you see him you know he means business by killing his own soldier for letting the DB escape, and by his other actions you can see how bloodthirsty and power hungry he is from the prologue. The player gets see his interactions with his men and higher-ups and such as Numida and Fiona. These things let us really understand his personality and give us a good reason for us to want to DB to succeed making him a more satisfying enemy to defeat. The big parts that separate him from the rest of the pack of basic villains in the second half of part 1, where he gets betrayed by Numida and is left to answer for all of his crimes. Instead of begging for mercy and looking pathetic, he takes it like a man and decides to take his sworn enemy down with him. He gets even better when the Black knight kills his Soldier (I think his name was Alder) and Jarod says to himself "He was a good soldier", and swear vengeance for him. This is by itself makes him so much more than your common villain because it humanizes him and makes him relate-able without making you feel sympathy for him which so many people think is the only way to make a villain good. Lastly he never asked for a sliver of pity throughout all his actions and died a proud soldier, and in his last words he even said "I regret nothing.... because I did it my way". His speech to his men before the endgame was legendary as well and I'll post it for you guys so you can remember, but this is the kind of villain I want to see in FE switch and I would love to see your opinion on this subject. Feel free to correct me or state his faults as much as you desire, just remember that this is my opinion. Tell me if it's yours or not as well. “Listen up, all of you. This is our last chance to die as we've lived. As proud soldiers of the empire. If we survive this fight, imprisonment and a hushed-up execution await us. If we run from this fight, dishonor and pursuit will dog our miserable days. So I say, let's give those Daein curs a fight to remember, and let the glory of our deaths light our way! We've lived as proud soldiers of the empire! Let us die as proud soldiers of the empire! Now GO!” -Jarod's last speech to his army in Part 1, Endgame
  10. I guess this is the most hypothetic question I've asked yet, so I don't expect too much from this thread. Anyways if a possible remake of FE10 should make it, would you like to have two separate routes where you fight the other army? One route is the DB and the other one the GM's. It should work as in FE8 where you can choose your army (probably works best in the beginning). The reason why I came up with this idea is that FE10 is a very long game already. I'm fairly sure it has the most main story maps of all FE parts yet. And it's still not enough for the DB. It lacks on maps compared to the GM's. They tend to be underleveled and need more chapters to grow. As for the story part 3 is rushed. You don't get to know anything what happened after Pelleas's crowning. Izuka left, that's it! Suddenly Micaiah decides to start fighting against her own will just because Pelleas wants. There are too many plot holes which could and should be fixed in a remake. Some chapters are available in both routes like 3-7, 3-13 and 3-F where you contral the army whose route you chosed.

  12. I like the ability to grind in FE games, And since FE10 is hard, Maybe the tower of Guidance could fix that a little?
  13. First of all: I've never ever done a reiew before, so constructive criticism is appreciated to learn from it. I think it's time to review the videogame which has inspired me probably the most in my life yet. It introduced me into one of the most exciting videogame franchises and to this forum. It is Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, the 10th part of this series, and the sequel of Path of Radiance. Story RD plays three years after Daein's and King Ashnard's fall. In this game you control different parties who have their own independent task and intentions. Each party has a lord, to be more precise a main character who may not die in their part. The first part deals with Daein. The Dawn Brigade with their leader Micaiah tries to free Daein from Begnion's cruel occupation. Begnion's leader tries to prevent it with all the possibilities he has without any consideration towards the Daeins and his own men. Micaiah has the hard task to stop Begnion's cruel schemings. His childhood friend Sothe (familar character from Path of Radiance) fights along side with her. Otherwise you'll see some new faces in the beginning and some familar characters later on. Part two is about Crimea's restore after the war against Daein. Elincia, the new and still unexperienced queen of Crimea, tries to look for freedom with Daein. However the nobles are scared that Daein takes the chance after its recovery to start a war against Crimea once again. This scepticism and fear propagate to the simple folk who start a rebellion against Elincia. The leader of the rebellion tries by all means (including hostage taking) to dethrone Elincia. The Crimean Knights have the task to stop this guy and to bring freedom back among the Crimeans. All units except for one are familar. In part three you control all three parties including the last one, the Greil's Mercenaries with their leader Ike. They also fight against Begnion but for a different reason. They support the Laguz because it came to light that Begnion is responsible for the burning in Serenesforest and the death of the former empress. As consequence the established Alliance of Laguz declared war against Begnion. The problem is that Daein's new king is helping Begnion quite suddenly who was Daein's biggest foe before its liberation. Micaiah, as loyal she is, follows his advices and fights for Begnion and against the Alliance of Laguz which means that Micaiah and Ike will become opponents. The result is that a total war is going to happen in Tellius. If you played the prequel, you will know what might happen... Gameplay RD has pretty much a similar gameplay to its prequel with a few improvements: skills can be removed without losing them third tier class system ledge feature which gives you a massive hit bosst / nerf when you attack from a platform above / below a few more mission objectives are added like defeaing certain number of enemies, destroying things in a turncount skippable battle animations biorhythm is more important dark magic exists knives are an own weapon type new weapons (a few were removed) introducing of authority stars (= leadership stars) unlimited forging in each chapter I'm pretty sure RD has the largest number of main story maps in FE with 43 and their variety is also large. A mix of defat, seize, escape, turnlimit and defend missions. Especially the defend chapters are really fun and challenging. Of course there are few less enjoyable chapters in the game but overall the map design is really good. However this game also has its issues. The main problem is the units's and difficulty balance. The difficulty curve isn't constant straight and the availibility of several units is horrible. The Dawn Brigade is that this is the party with the hardest chapters. The main issue is that Micaiah and some other DB members are really squishy and you lack on tanky units who can withstand several hits. Sothe is the only one who can, but he's basically your Jeigan, a prepromoted unit who steals the exp. early on. Micaiah herself is really squishy and sorta slow. Keep her out of any enemy attack ranges to keep her alive because she may not die at any time of this game. Same goes for all the other DB members till the fourth map. In general: This game has different Game Over conditions than the other parts. Many (side) characters may not die in certain chapters, so make sure to read the losing conditions every time not to get a bad surprise. Another issue is that Micaiah is the only one who has no authority stars so she can't grant her allies any hit / evasion boost which makes it for her group even harder. The other two parties start already second tier who even fight first tier units partly so they have a much easier time with the enemies. Now about the units's availibility, FE10's main weakpoint in terms of gameplay: Some units are going to leave in midgame and return (unautoleveled) close before the endgame. It's pure pain to let them catch up the others. It's really sad because it disqualifies some potential good units with a nice character. Also two allies for the DB join either underleveled or with below average bases. On harder difficulties it's very bothersome to train them. The graphics are really improved compared to FE9. The battle animations aren't static anymore, but they're really authentic now. Still my favorite animations in Fire Emblem up to date. The maps and characters are really well designed. Same goes for the soundtrack. Some tracks from FE9 return remixed and lots of new tracks are added. Most of them are enjoyable to listen and fit to the situation. Not my favorite soundtrack in FE but still a good one. Radiant Dawn has a better gameplay than Path of Radiance (close tied with Thracia 776 and Conquest) despite mentioned issues (there are still a few more minor issues). Storywise it's really good too but it has a few plotholes and it's a bit rushed mainly part 3. I don't really care for this because I prefer the gameplay over the story in a FE game. The main issue could be it's not really the best game for a newcomer to this series. Not because you have to play PoR first to understand the story, but because the difficulty of the DB chapters can cause you serious trouble. A few of your allies are so "weak" that they can be oneshotted. I highly recommend for any newcomer to read the really well explained tutorial guide. Radiant Dawn was my first game too and its difficulty almost made me want to ragequit it but the tutorial helped me to get into this game and series. If you're not aware of PoR's story and characters, RD has a dictionary about all the existing characters and some terms reagarding Tellius, so it will help you to get into the story. Overall it's a really enjoyable game especially if you play FE because of its gameplay. However it has not a massive replay potential (however still one replay guaranteed) because several units are really hard to use because of their limited availibility.
  14. In this thread I'd like to discuss the personality and quality as unit of all DB members. I define DB members as the ones who appear only in FE10 and fight alongside with Micaiah till part 3. These units will be discussed: Micaiah Edward Leonardo Nolan Laura Aran Meg Fiona Results Edward Leonardo Micaiah Meg Fiona Nolan Aran Laura #1 Edward I've argued with other people several times about this guy in other threads because I think some people don't see his true potential. He's easily the character in FE I could talk about the most. For me Edward is in amazing unit in the longrun and could be easily the best myrmidon / swordmaster in the game for me... but he's suffering on a few things. He's member of the party with the strongest enemies. Edward is a myrm so very fragile. In HM he can barely take two hits, mainly only by cats, swords and a few lance users with weapons not stronger than steels. If you're a lucky with his def and establish a support which gives him +3 defense, he can take two steel bows. Yes, Edward is definitely not the best front unit. And wrath is rather a suicide skill in close combat. His earlygame is hard. He needs one speed point to double the enemies in the next chapter and one strength point to finish weaken enemies by Nolan off. Since the possibility of getting strength and speed in one level is only 36%, he usually needs two levels in the prologue which is possible to get if the gets all the kills. After 1-3, the worst chapter for Edward, you can grind him quite well to make him fast enough to double some stuff. In 1-5 he can ORKO all the mages with the wind edge from the ledge. The best chapter to give him some levels. In general on HM you will mainly focus on very few units. Edward and Nolan are the ones who need level the most until Jill shows up. He has strong competion in person of Zihark. Many people tend to bench Edward when Zihark joins. Does it automatically mean that Edward is worse than Zihark? No! Zihark just joins with a level at a time Edward won't reach in 99% of the cases so Zihark has the bases to take several hits. Tbf if Edward is level 15 at the end of 1-6-2 (not impossible at all) and has a A-support with Leo, he'll have the same strength and defense as Zihark in 1-7. Only his speed is worse which doesn't matter too much. With his 19 speed he'd still double the soldiers in 1-8. If you give him a bexp. level to max his speed, he'd even double some brigands. Edward will reach the same close combat perfomance as Zihark. However there's another point which speaks for Zihark on paper. He has earth affinity, and earth affinity is the lifesaver for the later DB chapters. You need as much evasion as possible because the enemies hurt like trucks. Zihark with best biorhythm, A-support in earth and resolve will be untouchable. Does it mean that Edward is worse in combat than Zihark? Absolutely not! They're just different to use. While Zihark is amazing in close combat, Edward is great with wrath + range swords. It's a great way to get some free kills. Just bring his HP down by letting him attack by a tiger unequiped. And for the rest of the chapter attack him from wind edges / storm swords. If you really want to have a good hitrate, then support him with Meg who can be brought in each part 3 map for free and can be used as support at least. Unfortunately Caladbolg is the worst of Daein's holy weapons. As for the growths Edward is more powerful while Zihark has more speed and resistance who reminds me rather on a female swordmaster. In general I prefer Edward's growths because his strength and defense are better while resistance doesn't matter. That's the reason why he always turns out better than Zihark and I bring him along with Mia to the tower as second SS sword user. I find Edward underrated because he's a great PP unit. The only first tier unit aside of speed transfer Jill who can constantly double.
  15. This series seems to be interesting. Characters are named after historical figures, some females are totally overbusted and several characters have weird traits like being a crossdresser. It sounds so strange that I'm curious now to try this series out. Seriously I have no idea what the content of these games is. What genre is that and how is the quality of the games? (only own PS3 and soon 4) Edit: Don't pay attention to the OP. It was originally an other thread but I decided to kill it. Can't edit the post anymore unfortunately. Also someone send it to general gaming, please! EDIT: Clipsey test, weird stuff is happening.
  16. So, this was brought up in the "Who is Ike's wife" thread, and now that I have my answer from Clipsy, it can start! But first, a couple of rules/guidelines. Adhere to all established characterization, be it from FE9/10. If you believe that there is a severe breach in characterization in anyone's work, be sure to point it out to both the writer and myself. I'll ask for a few opinions on it, and if it's deemed too OOC, I'll remove it from the index and the pair is once again anyone's game. Do note, however, that adding to an established character is fine, so long as there are no contradicting traits. So we can't have a suddenly cynical Mist, but she can mention things about the past that severely affected her. Though FE10 was originally going to have just A rank supports be full length, I'm going to permit B/C simply because they allow more character building. However, the GBA limit of five conversations is in full effect, so other As do not have to be acknowledged, but keep in mind the character may have an A when writing a B/C. Claiming pairs is allowed, for now. If this gets too uncivil, this rule, and all claimed pairs, are revoked. I will keep a log of claims in the OP. If you have a support for an unclaimed pair written, feel free to post it. Double Posting is allowed, if it is to post a new support. I'm going to DP after the OP in case I hit the link limit for the index Focus on the FE10 list of beta pairs, first. Once those begin running dry, you can do other random pairs. Claims Index
  17. Inspired of a similar topic this is an attempt to create a tierlist of the characters from FE10. Every second day I'll name five characters you can rank and comment. Voting rule Please vote in the poll, even if you ranked the unit in your comment. It's much easier for me to visualize. I will accept only the votes from the poll, not from your comments. Exception: If a voting is passed already and you didn't vote, you may rank your units in your comment (or PM me) afterwards. Then I'll add your belayed vote in my table and update my list. Submitted votings via PM will be made public in this thread. Micaiah Growthrates (%): HP: 40 Strength: 15 Magic: 80 Skill: 40 Speed: 35 Luck: 90 Defense: 20 Resistance: 90 Personal skill: sacrifice Affinity: darkness Micaiah is one of the two lords in the game who may not die at any time in the game. Since she's a magic user she's fragile, so fragile that she'll be oneshotted by almost everyone in harder difficulties. Combined with her rather low speed base and growth, she'll become an ultimate walking target. Never place her on the front, otherwise you'll get Game Over over Game Over. However in 1-9 she needs stats to survive. In hard mode she requires at least 13 speed and most likely an angelic robe or draco shield to survive a shot and not to get doubled. That means you are almost forced to invest items in an unit you don't want to. At least resolve could fix her speed issue. So fragile and slow she is, she's still a very powerful unit and an excellent healer in part 3. Thani can oneshot the bosses in 1-2 (you don't have to though), 1-3 and 1-6-2. She needs a bit help to take out the sword armorknight in 1-7. With support she can oneshot each knight of part 1 what is very nice. Otherwise she's can excellent chipper against units with melee weapons. Her affinity is darkness, a semi-usuable one. It gives her attack boost what is very useful and evasion what she doesn't need because you really don't want to send her in any enemy attack ranges unless it's a magic user. However she has a default A-support with Sothe what is very nice in earlygame at least. However you could support Sothe with an earth unit to increase his evasion and to establish a support between Micaiah and someone who gives attack boost like Leonardo. She has sacrifice, a indirect healing skill. Since her HP is very low she can't sacrifice all that much. She's a good contender for using Edward's wrath because she could oneshot everything with a crit in part 1 including Jarod. Resolve works too if her speed is high enough to double with resolve. That means she needs at least 14 speed in HM to double all the generics except for myrms in the endgame of part 1. 6.5 / 10 Tierlist
  18. So despite Radiant Dawn being my third favorite game in the series, one of my gripes with it is the amount of story relevant stuff that happens in the narration. One particular scene I would have loved to see was the reunion between Reyson, Leanne, and Rafiel. So, I decided to write my idea of how that reunion, and the subsequent decision to invade Bengion, would have gone. I'll plan to post one chapter a week. I'd love any constructive criticism you guys can offer (in this thread), whether it's writing style, grammar, or characterization. Hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it!
  19. This is something I've sorta been pondering for a while. On the one hand, Spear Fighters and Spear Masters, like Tellius Soldiers and Halberdiers, are balanced, Lance-using footsoldiers associated with the militaries of their home countries. However, Spear Fighter also has some skills which are associated with it that the Tellius Soldier line does not have, although skills work very differently in 3DSFE compared to Jugdral/Tellius, so I wouldn't really consider the skills each 3DSFE class learns to be quite equivalent to having them as built-in "class skills" in a Jugdral/Tellius-style setup. Also worth considering is that the option for Spear Fighters to promote into a mixed physical/magical class in Basara would almost certainly not be mirrored in a theoretical second promotion option for Tellius Soldiers. What are everybody's thoughts on this? I'm having trouble coming to a conclusion, myself.
  20. Alright so I noticed Itsuki got a few regalia that were Spotpass regalia in Awakening. I kind of wrote it off at the time as being technically an Awakening reference since those regalia appeared in awakening. then I noticed Itsuki gets ahold of Durandal, and I somewhat flipped my shit since Durandal doesn't appear in FE13. Also noticed Florete from FE10. So, in total, what regalia or personal weapons does Itsuki get overall from across the franchise? There looks like quite a few references to Jugdral, Elibe, and Tellius were put into the Carnage Weapon lineup. if any of the other cast get regalia, I'd like to know that too if that's not too much trouble Also I don't know if this should be a different topic, but how am I supposed to get ahold of True Falchion? (interested since it's clearly Marth's Falchion and, well, ending spoilers)
  21. My target is to figure out how to train - mainly weaker - units more efficiently. Which skill(s) do you give to whom in which chapter(s)? Here are few examples from my side: 1-4: Leonardo's cancel skill goes to Edward or Nolan because they can make better use of it and have a higher activation rate due to their high skill. Discipline on Aran to make him access to use Tauroneo's silver lance quickly. 1-6: Resolve on Micaiah because she's the only first tier unit who has the capacity to use it. With sacrificing once she'll become into resolve-zone. With 1.5 speed she can maybe double the one or other opponent. Renewal on Volug or Zihark. 1-7: Paragon on Micaiah for same reason. She's the only one who can gain serious experience. Inbue on Zihark because he has a good magic stat actually. 1-8: Resolve on Micaiah to make life in 1-9 a lot easier. Paragon on Sothe because he'll do quite a lot in this chapter thanks to his better movement in the awkward terrain. Let him kill Radmin to get almost a full level up. 1-F: It becomes tough for me. Idk which skills to give to Ilyana. On the one hand giving paragon to her is more efficient because in total the GM's have more chapters to make use of it, but on the other hand the DB members need way more experience due to their less chapters in part 3. Most skills should stay in the DB honestly. Part 3: Vantage, Adept, Resolve + earth support for Zihark to make him invisible. However it only works, if a tiger attacks him first. If a cat hits him first, the taken damage won't be enough to reach resolve-zone. Beastfoe on Jill: With the brave axe or hand and short axes she can claim free kills in each turn. Renewal for Volug, inbue for Sothe and discipline to Micaiah. This is only a little example for the DB chapters. This skill set excludes Meg and Fiona... but maybe there's still a way how include them too. Iirc Fiona can't even take skills since she has only 5 capacity (?). Furthermore I'd like to know about a good skillset for the non-royal Laguz since I'm not really familar in using most of them in longruns.
  22. I'm going to do a FE10 playthrough with the ten worst characters of this tierlist. A few characters are still missing, but since Meg and Fiona won't be pushed out anymore, I can start it already. This run will be played on normal mode. No, I'm not masochistic enough to do it on hard mode. Anyways the rules: Everyone who's forced for the endgame is free to use: Micaiah, Sothe, Ike, Sanaki, Kurth, Ena Leanne for being the worst rated heron will be brought to the endgame Healing and using herons are allowed. As for the DB chapters: Everyone may be used till 1-3, the chapter before Meg joins. After that only Micaiah, Sothe, Meg, and later Fiona may be used. Laura may be used for healing the entire time, but not in combat. As for part 2: Everyone is free to use till 2-2. As for 2-3... hmm... I guess it's a fair deal if I only let the NPCs and Astrid act. As for 2-E everyone is free to use till the CK's join. However it won't matter since I'll beat this chapter before turn 8 anyways. As for the GM chapters: Everyone is free to use till 3-3. After that it'll be more or less a trio of Ike, Kyze and Lyre. Rhys and Mist only may heal. As for part 4: I have no idea yet... Haven't made any thoughts about the teams yet. I only know for sure to send Lyre and Kyze to the Silver Army because of the desert chapter. Fiona will go to Ike's party. Want to establish a Ike x Fiona support to get sexy evasion. Everyone who doesn't belong to the worst characters may die. (of course I try to prevent it at any cost) I'll represent the level ups in Excel and post the link since it's way too effortful and timeconsuming to take a photo of each level up with the mobile phone, and to upload it on the laptop. I also will give a very short report of each completed chapter and mention the turncount. Non-forced top ten worst characters who must be used till the end: Tormod Pelleas Bastian Kyze Vika Astrid Oliver Meg Fiona Lyre Holy weapons: Urvan: Ike Vague Katti / Alondite: Meg Wishblade: Fiona Double Bow: Astrid Rexaura: Micaiah / Oliver Rexfire: Tormod Cymbeline: Sanaki Rexcalibur: Bastian Belberith: Pelleas That's it for now! If someone has something on their mind, then shoot!
  23. Five years ago, the continent of Tellius was engulfed in a brutal war. King Ashnard of the Daein kingdom ordered an attack on the neighboring nation Crimea. The attack was swift, deadly, and unprovoked. After about a year of bloodshed, Ashnard was slain, bringing his reign of terror to an end. This war is known as the Mad King's War. It appeared that the mad king had left no heirs, but a noblewoman stepped forward with the claim that her daughter had been sired by him. The people had no choice but to believe her and allow young Nyra to take the throne. All the nations of Tellius were now free to rebuild and move forward. But, sometimes what was once broken, will never be completely fixed... Feedback Thread Prologue: A Surprise Successor August 27, 645 Nevassa, Daein A mighty roan stallion with a young woman on his back galloped through the street. If one were to get close enough, they would be able to see the determination and anger in the lady’s eyes. A steel sword was strapped to her back. She was pursuing a group of cavalry, they were all clothed in blood red armor, while her own armor was jet black. Daein had lost the war. King Ashnard was dead, and he hadn’t married or produced any heirs. Of course, the new Crimean queen wasn’t going to be in charge of both countries. Begnion controlled more land than anyone else, so why not add more to their empire? Nyra knew she had no right to argue. She was just a lowly soldier. General Petrine had always said she had the potential to be much more, but she, too, was now dead. And Begnion wouldn’t care anyway. But Nyra, being the hothead she was, wasn’t going to take this without a fight. She was going to show those red clad snobs who they were dealing with. And they would either kill her or throw her in jail for the rest of her life, but she didn’t care. She pulled back on the horse’s reins, causing him to skid to a stop, neigh, and rear. The Begnion cavalry appeared to be reporting to the halberdier ahead of them: an average sized man with dark purple hair. His armor was the distinctive red, with an olive green scarf. And he had an air of authority about him. No doubt about it, this was who the apostle had put in charge. One of the soldiers turned and spoke to the halberdier. “General Jarod, there’s a Daein cavalier here.” “I thought we told all of them to stay away while we get the paperwork settled.” Jarod huffed. “Go away. The war’s over. You lost.” Nyra stared at him, anger burning in her eyes. He smirked. “Such a fierce look for a little recruit!” “I’ll have you know that I am NOT a recruit. I was trained by, and served under, Petrine of the Four Riders.” “Ah, Petrine...she was a fiery one. But the key word is was. Go home, lass. We can’t have any Daein stragglers hanging around. Even if you did know that witch of a woman.” “Is that fancy lance just for show? It looks brand new. Did the apostle take a pampered noble, put him in armor, and call him general?” Nyra taunted. “I will not go home. If you want me to, you’ll have to force me.” Several Begnion soldiers raised their weapons. Jarod gave them the “stand down” gesture. “I will deal with this myself.” He grabbed his lance and gave it a twirl. “Try me!” The crowd scattered. Nyra brought her horse into a charge, blade drawn, as Jarod stood his ground. The steel sword clanged against the steel greatlance. The Begnion soldiers were rooting for their general, as was expected. Nyra managed to spot some Daein townspeople out of the corner of her eye. Most looked like they were just wondering what was going on, but she thought a few of them appeared to be impressed with her. As they should. Nobody else had the gumption to stand up to Begnion. This Jarod guy...who was he? She had never heard of him, and he had looked like he hadn’t seen much actual combat until she actually saw him fight. That jumping skill was unreal. He had to be clearing twice her height! And with a heavy weapon that should weigh him down! As impressive as it was, he was still her enemy. She concentrated on attempting to block his blows while slashing at him with her sword. “NYRA!” The familiar voice came from the group of townspeople. In one swift movement, Nyra stabbed Jarod in the shoulder, had her horse trample him to the ground, and turned. The crowd parted to let her mother through. Her mother, a frail skinny thing, had a piece of paper in her hands and was glaring at the scene in front of her. Behind her was an ancient looking woman who Nyra had never seen before, and a man she recognized as Lukall, a Daein noble. “Everyone, your attention please!” Lukall announced. “There’s been a recent development! Or a twenty-eight year old development, depending on how you look at it.” Nyra blinked. She was twenty-eight... Lukall proceeded to walk forward and look at Jarod, who was collapsed on the ground with several wounds. “He’s just out cold.” He said to the two women with him. “He won’t be able to protest now, but he will if we’re not quick enough. Lady Jaclyn, bring me the document.” Nyra’s mother handed the paper to Lukall. He turned to Nyra, and she reached for it. Lukall pulled it away. “Not so fast. The information in this document...will come as a shock to you. Fair warning.” Then he allowed Nyra to take it and unfold it. The paper was a birth certificate. Under name, in slightly faded writing, was Nyra Terricks Daein. That was a bit odd, Nyra’s mother was a noblewoman, but usually only royals had a second surname that they shared with their country. Place of birth was Nevassa, gender was female...under father, written in the same faded script, yet clear as day, was Ashnard Terricks Daein. “Breathe, girl!” Lukall waved a hand in front of Nyra’s face. At the same moment, Jarod coughed behind her and attempted to get up. Nyra whipped around and plunged her sword into his forehead. His eyes glazed over, and his final breath was a faint sputter. The old woman and Nyra’s mother both had the same blank expressions. She turned to them. “...But you always told me my father had died before I was born...how...” “Oh, is that what she told you?” The old woman hobbled forward. “...Pardon me, you don’t know me. My name is Melina. I delivered you...you can see my signature here.” She pointed at the bottom of the document, where the parents’ and midwife’s signatures went. The line for the father’s signature was blank. There was still quite the crowd gathered. Lukall took the birth certificate and held it in the air. “Citizens of Daein, we have a successor! I give you Queen Nyra!” A few of the Begnion soldiers, and even some of the Daein townspeople, had to look at the birth certificate with their own eyes to believe it. One Begnion soldier bowed his head to Nyra. “We will return to Begnion at once, Your Majesty. General Jarod will be laid to rest in his own homeland...”
  24. So I'm trying to hack FE10, but I'm having trouble decompressing FE10Data.cms. Whenever I try to decompress it, I get an error telling me that the "Index was outside the bounds of the array." Any idea what I can do to solve this?
  25. Yep, it's me again. I really like making video games. xD This fan-game is a lot further in development from my current FE9-Reimagined game. It takes place at the end of RD, in the Tower of Guidance. Tellius. The year 648. After a violent struggle between the Beorc and Laguz races, the medallion known to contain Yune, the goddess of Chaos, reached an unprecedented level of power. When it did, the unthinkable happened... But instead of bringing about the chaos and destruction everyone had feared, she instead chose to oppose Ashera and in doing so, was to grant the Beorc warriors spared by Ashera's Judgement an amazing gift. Unfortunately, Ashera had the same idea, bestowing upon her gold-armoured soldiers unfathomable power as well. Now, with the rest of Tellius a land of frozen statues, a battle never seen before in history will mark the end of an era... You are tasked with the task of liberating Tellius once and for all. Choose your duo wisely and defeat the Goddess of Order! General differences from regular Fire Emblem games: Everyone is at Level 60 ( or 20/20/20 ). No grinding required! Order enemies are Level 60 as well. Enemy stats scale depending on the difficulty selected. Fast-paced, turn-based battle system similar to classical jRPGs. Weapons don't break. Magic targets multiple foes. Affinity grant stat boosts; e.g: Earth units take less damage whereas Fire units deal more. All generals, including allies, are weak against thunder. Makes perfect sense. 'Slayer' and 'Reaver' weapons are present. Weapon triangle works a bit differently. If you hit an axe-user with a lance, they will absorb the damage dealt. Same with hitting a sword-user with an axe. And mages will absorb all damage from magic weapons, be they Runeswords, Runelances ( yes ) or Sleep Axes. Cipher art for portraits because they're so purdy. <3 Battle BGM will change depending which main character is in your party. Dark Traveller will play for Micaiah on Easy/Normal mode, while Bearer of Hope would play on Hard/Lunatic. Greil Mercs would play for Ike on Easy/Normal, and Eternal Bond on Hard/Lunatic. Bases stats stem from Awakening Lunatic Mode. Units use a combination of their FE9, FE10 and FE13 (Spotpass) growths. Units who did not appear in Spotpass were given class growths instead. Same with their bases. Some units ( like Lucia and Micaiah. Read: They're amazing ) are completely unrecognisable from their vanilla counterparts. Screenshots: The game itself still needs a few tweaks before I make it a public release. Currently, it only goes up until the Dragon chapter.
