See if this character list is okay. It also has some Monsho No Nazo characters, since I couldn't think of other characters. It's only major characters for now. Shiida would get Reignlief, and Seigleid would be like the Wing Spear or something. Marth gets Raiper and Falchion instead of Seigmund. Might have to make some Ballista for Jake. Opinions? Questions? I really see Marth as more of a starting lord than Shiida. The current character swaps don't go well with the chapters in Shadow Dragon. If there was prequel to FE8, (In the near past, before Vigarde dies and gets taken over by his son, in the form of the "ultimate evil." While Hardin gets tempted and then taken over by the shadow dragon, who is like the"ultimate evil." So... Yea... I understand what you are saying, don't get me wrong. I love spoiler tags. Also if you want to make this spread throughout the story then say good bye to Frey. Why would Wolf go chasing after them anyways? Remember, Hardin is possessed and in the end Hardin expresses his thanks for stopping him. Wolf comes before. I'm hurt! *points to wound* [/sarcasmofsorts] I was mislead by the title too. I thought somebody else was actually hacking Shadow Dragon. From what I see, this person is hacking FE8, not FE11. I've made some hacks. I made an Elysian Whip patch for the J, E, and U versions, that added the whip to some chapter. I forgot the details. I made a patch that inserted a custom portrait (as a test). I also made a forum FEDS hack, although it was of the Japanese (J) version. More importantly, I've made Nightmare Modules that can edit character, class, and item data. A while ago I worked on figuring out how to translate the Japanese version of FE11/FEDS but never got too far with text editing. Well, recently I figured out how text editing works--this time instead of just editing text, also with editing backgrounds, loading portraits/positioning them, nifty text commands, text pointers, text labels, etc., so pretty much 95% of the idea behind text editing. What Can Be Hacked (Known Aspects Thus Far)--------------------------------------------- Character Stats: Yes Character Growths: Yes Class Stats: Yes Class Growths: Yes Item Stats: Yes Miscellaneous Character/Class/Item Info: Yes ReClass System: Yes Unit Placement: No* Unit Classes: No* Starting Inventories: No* Events: Somewhat Text: Mostly--expansion of text is a very tedious process Shops: Yes, with limits Chests: Yes, with limits Animations: Switchable Map Animations: Switchable, palettes Palettes: Yes (not all are easy to find) Chibi Insertion: Yes Portrait Insertion: Yes Animation Insertion: No General Graphic Insertion: Somewhat, not really Some Miscellaneous: Yes General Music Editing: No *Priority; learning to hack these aspects is quite important. I'd make a legit FEDS hack if I had good portraits, lots of time, and was assured that more than 10 people would play it. ._. Point is it's hackable to a good extent and it's not even that hard, the only reason there are no big hacks of it is because I don't think people would play it... :\ I've said my piece. ------------------ @psychout50, you should take some of the suggestions people gave you.
