Chapter 27 - Pale Flower of Darkness (Jerme)

Team: Hector, Eliwood, Bartre, Serra, Guy, Kent, Wil, Canas, Fiora, Legault, Ninian, Geitz, Pent, Louise, Harken (Turn 9)

Notes: I'm going to get Kenneth's map for both hard runs. The EHM run will get Karel and the HHM one will have Harken.

This chapter is surprisingly easy thanks to the enemies only appearing in small clusters of 3. Jerme is absolutely pathetic, going down to a combination of Guy and Canas. Eliwood, Guy and Serra all promoted with Serra getting a slightly early promotion.

I have never gotten Jerme's map, nor have I ever gotten Harken. In fact, I typically don't bother to recruit Karel because I don't really like him, and I resent him for even existing and denying me Harken.

I promoted Bartre. If you train and promote at least 2 melee guys (Raven, Bartre, Guy and Dorcas), you'll get Jerme's map.

Well, I detest Fighters in general, so I generally don't, and Raven has always rubbed me the wrong way, and Guy is cool but I also dislike Myrmidons. Whereas I like Erk and Lucius, and Serra/Priscilla are a must.

I know that really, I should use Fighters because Lot and Dorcas and whoever are all good and useful... but I'd rather have some crappy mediocre Cavalier like Noah. I hate Warrior animations.

Chapter 28 - Battle Before Dawn

Team: Hector, Eliwood, Bartre, Serra, Guy, Kent, Wil, Canas, Fiora, Legault, Ninian, Hawkeye, Geitz, Pent, Nino (Turn 5)

Notes: This chapter is easy but annoying. All the fighters near Jaffar are holding Swordreavers/Swordslayers which cuts down his HP quickly. Luckily, Zephiel has decent Avo on his pillar.

At this point, I'm just trying to milk the chapters for Exp and making sure that I don't screw up Tactics. I'm up by 11k in Funds walking into this chapter so I should be good for the rest of the run.

Also, the Normal Mode Tactics requirements are stupid. This is a 15 turn defend chapter... with a 20 turn 5* clear. The hell?

Chapter 28x - Night of Farewells

Notes: I decided to follow Bal's advice and I let Jaffar take the top right corner. I also decided to Silence the Bishop (very key) which let Legault steal the Angelic Robe.

Hawkeye, Dart (if promoted) and fliers are key in this chapter. Hawkeye cut a bloody swathe through a Mage, General, 2 Wyvern Riders and a Wyvern Lord. Honestly, it was awesome. Took 14 turns to get Hector to the throne.

Chapter 29 - Cog of Destiny

Team: Hector, Eliwood, Bartre, Serra, Matthew, Guy, Wil, Canas, Fiora, Legault, Ninian, Geitz, Pent, Louise, Harken

Notes: No Vaida and no effect on my rankings. However, I have now lost a 9k weapon and I need to check my cash situation again to see if I can hand Hector the boots for the next chapter. If I can't, I regret killing Vaida but it's not a huge deal as I'm way up on Tactics.

Everyone's going strong. Wil's actually turned out decent, Serra's killing everything in sight, Canas is great at potshotting bosses with Luna (he hit Lloyd 3 times do deal a significant amount of damage with it), and Guy and Bartre are doing well at their jobs. I probably won't ever promote Bartre again but it's useful to see what he can do.

Oh and this is the best Eliwood I've ever had. 1+ HP, 1+ Str, 2+ Skl, 2+ Spd, 3+ Luck, 1+ Def and 3+ Res. Wow. Shit just got real.

Chapter 30 - The Berserker

Team: Hector, Serra, Guy

Notes: I don't like this chapter for ranking runs. Hector needs the Boots and yet thanks to my Vaida fuck up, he couldn't use them. The Boots will single-handedly cut this chapter down by at least 2 turns.

Serra went along the south route, healing Hector and grabbing the chests. She's become an offensive beast, doubling and killing everything in sight. Guy used up half of his Killing Edge by going north and killing the Knights. He also grabbed the Wolf Beil in the chest while Hector took the other one.

Notes: Nino and Dart were there to fill up the last two slots and get some Exp. Everyone else is part of the core team. Decided not to kill Denning on turn 4 this time. As a result, I squeezed out a lot more Exp thanks to all of the reinforcements.

Notes: Oh my god, I'm almost half done my runs. It'll be a breath of fresh air when I finally get to Hard Mode.

Nothing to mention aside from just about everybody 1RKOs almost every enemy that exists. Karla needs the Wo Dao to one round but she's got about 60 crit with it so she's usually going to critical.

Notes: Gave all my units their best weapons. Once again, this is just a "kill as effieciently" as possible. Athos and Canas both held a Luna so that they could destroy Nergal and the dragon as quickly as possible. Nergal died in 7 turns while the dragon bit the dust after a single turn.

Easy Mode is very easy, but the gap in difficulty between easy and hard is very high. It's like, the difference between being able to train and promote everyone in the DB and being able to train and promote 2 or 3, and even then they'll barely promote.

I'm doing my LHM run right now but I'm seriously worried about EHM. According to Bal, the Exp rank in it was harder to make than the HHM Exp rank. And from my own experience, I had less turns (with 3 more chapters) in HNM than ENM. So I'm going to be sweating from the getgo. I think I need all non-promoted units at like level 15 and all promoted at level 10+. Tactics and Funds should be easier, though.

Notes: Marcus gave Eliwood his Steel Sword and let Eliwood go to town. Dorcas is fantastic at taking down brigands to like 1 or 2 HP with his Steel Axe. Rebecca and Bartre took potshots at brigands. Gronzyi went down on turn 8 and Eliwood seized.

Notes: It really annoys me that Zagan always goes down on Eliwood's story while he goes across on Hector's (get to him quicker). Since he heads down with all of his lackeys, there's that stupid traffic jam right near that mountain.

Bartre and Rebecca suck. Actually. They make it their life goal to miss 75 Hit shots all the time. It's ridiculous. Oh, 8 turn clear.

Chapter 13 - In Search of Truth

Notes: Did the exact same thing from my ENM run and realized that when Lowen was sitting in Guy's range, Guy refused to attack him. Was kinda weird but it made recruiting him even easier.

Hector and Eliwood absolutely destroyed everything in their way as they went over the river.
