Chapter seven parte dos, where Julia is MVP again!

Liza's only a threat because of her magic ring and powerful spell. Granted, she'll cripple everybody but Julia and maybe Lana. Her defense is shit though. All in all, she won't be too tough because of Julia.

Ishtor on the other hand is a nightmare. He's a male Mage Hero, so he has adept. He has bolting. With 18 magic, that's going to sting! His hit ain't too shabby either. Oh, and once you get up close, thoron! A Levin!Arthur will take care of him reliably, but I don't have one because Arthur is stupid. So instead, I'll use the second most reliable option. SHANAN!

Like I said, he has adept, and has an 8% chance of activating it with bolting.

Nosferatank Julia strikes again! She's going to get tons of exp while carrying my team at the same time. As of now, she's just outside of range of the ballistae, as well as the main army.

You know you're desperate to stall when you equip the shittiest sword in the game. Actually, Leaf wouldn't be half bad with a sleep sword.

THIS is how we get them to start moving. Julia will die to two ballista shots, so we have Arthur bait out these mages, which will trigger the entire army to advance. Of course, the two mages and Lance armors will go for Arthur, but the rest goes straight into Ms. Figurative Ardan.

Tactical screwups are the best. Anyways, Julia's ready.

Originally, I had Shanan, Arthur, and Johalva do this part themselves, but that was a huge exp wastage for everyone, so Scathach and Lana join the party this time. It makes the strat more reliable, too! After seizing, these guys are going to deal with an attack squad, and then rush north and bail out Leaf from his fate.

Notice anything odd about her map sprite? If the fact that she's hesitant to fight didn't give it away, these stats and her level sure does. She's a recruitable unit, daughter of Tiltyu. Her bases are pretty decent, and she promotes to Mage Hero. Magic ring will help her for now, and make her deadly later on. Good think I packed Tiltyu with Wind magic!

Same skills as Arthur, pursuit will make her really good.

Pamela1 is a fire mage, so she sucks. At least her map sprite is unique.

Pamela2 speedier than Pamela1, but hits weaker.

Pamela3 is slower than Pamela2, and weaker than Pamela1, but is more likely to hit.

These three have a triangle attack. Yes, as mages, which is dumb because they die easily. Okay, they can survive one hit. IIRC, if they can do a triangle attack, they'll attack at melee range, but only Pamela1 can initiate the attack because of her leadership stars.

Here's what we're going to fight.

Here's our strategy to fighting them. Nosferatu is really good.

Down south, Shanan begins opening the road to Lenster by overkilling the border guard.

This guy attacked Scathach on EP, so we finish him off now.

Man, when I did Shanan-Johalva-Arthur solo, this was so painful because Shanan kept failing to dodge.

Nosferatank is always the best kind of tank.

I've used her so much that Julia's almost out of Nosferatu uses. Not a huge issue as long as they don't target her.

I want that free knight to attack Patty, so that she'll get exp.

As predicted, he goes for Patty. After that, most of the Free knights go after Serlis. Why? I've no clue. He had a slim sword on though, so they all got megachipped instead of killed.

After a few nosferatanks, this occurs.

So after recruiting Tinny, she gets welcomed to the team!

Next, we take out Fetra.

It ends predictably.

Lana busts out a Fortify to heal everybody, and we end.

For some reason they still think they can triangle attack without Fetra, so they proceed to attack Shanan at melee range. They all have the same death quote.

Why're they called high? Did they smoke pot before the battle?

I don't like the female mage animation. It looks like she's sneezing, dammit! What if it was wind magic?

Now begins the mission to rush north and bail out Leaf.

At this point, I didn't realize about the frozen game thing, so I have to reset about 7 times for the same flow of events to go.

Now we keep heading north.

Patty is going to get all of the myrm kills, and Lakche is going to get the boss kill.

Damn, she can one round them, but I wish Patty had more speed! She has like 10 right now!

Leaf's barely surviving.

After chipping all of these guys to death, Lakche faces the boss.

Here's Blume, slightly scarier than before. He traded out his Thorhammer for another bolting and Thoron. Bolting's going to hurt, although why does he have higher strength than magic?

Here's the arena bitch of the day. Zenon's a retardedly fast swordmaster. The only way Patty beat him was by getting lucky and sleeping him. Lakche and Scathach had to trade critsilver to beat him.

Serlis doesn't need the leg ring anymore, so we have Lakche buy it.

First actual move, Warp Julia to Lenster. She's going to do more Nosferatanking.

Warp Patty as well so that she can get more exp.

Julia, however, starts slaughtering the javeliknights. Their AS is tanked by javelins, and Julia isn't that slow.

I considered having Julia attack, but I decided not to because she can't double. Lakche, on the other hand, is almost guaranteed a ORKO.

His speed growth is kinda iffy, but he has a killer bow and Ichival for that. His luck growth is through the roof, and for some reason his defense growth is high. Whatever.

This is what makes him deadly, though. Pursuit, innate critical, and charge. Charge is best on archers because they hurt the enemy without hurting themselves. If he can get a decent speed store, he'll be amazing.

Poor Serlis and his inability to promote. He was hella useful in the early game because he inherited Ayra's brave sword. He slowly became a leadership bot instead of a combat unit. He was a good leadership bot, mind you, but he wasn't able to do anything because I was trying to shovel experience into my other units. I'm anticipating that he'll see more use towards endgame because he's the only unit of my team who actually has any resistance.

Hot damn. She was a boss. She carried my team starting from chapter seven, and her ability to decimate squads while taking no damage was hella useful. If she caps speed my life will be complete. I'll probably take that skill ring off of her and give it to Johalva, since her skill is pretty good now.

I find it funny that he's screwed in almost every stat, but he's still awesome. That said, look at those stats. Those stats are beautiful. Scathach was at a disadvantage compared to Lakche because he didn't have a critical sword. Adept and charge made up for that though because he wouldn't stop attacking. He would keep hitting until the enemy died! If he can get some more defense, he'll be a star unit.

Strength isn't as good as Scathach's, and her defenses are about the same, but she's definitely been a better unit, although that's purely because of critsilver. Never underestimate a 100 kill sword in chapter 6! Because of said weapon, she was my main bosskiller and helped against Jabarro, Ovo, and more! She one-shotted Ishtar on my test run of chapter 8! If she gets more strength so that she can be as good as Ayra, I'll be really happy.

She was a key player because she had A staves as a cleric. She could physic, warp, and she helped me travel faster by rescuing. Honestly, he joined too late for him to play a huge role. In the second half of the generation, I'm sure that he'll be carrying my team to the ends of the earth because Julia will be gone. He has Holsety, so if I'm having trouble killing something I'll just send him in and he'll delete it (and probably the rest of that squad too.) He definitely needs the bargain ring and I plan on having him be the main Leg ring user of the generation.

More useful than Azel because he has decent spells. He can't do much without a promotion, and he'll fall behind fast. Especially since the second generation isn't as forgiving as the first.

Tinny was an excellent unit. So far she was at the stage of needing fed kills, but she'll make up for that before long after she promotes. She helped by wrathing some important enemies, but she's really frail. Better get a lot of hp soon!

WHY U HAVE NO SPEED? Seriously, she has a 30% speed growth, and she procced it 3 times in 21 levels! It's as if she's the polar opposite of Dew! (actually has str and def) Oh whatever. She's physically very powerful, I find it funny her defense is so high. Especially after Dew. She can still dodge because her luck isn't complete garbage, but Dew is definitely statwise a better father for her. Although she has critical, and she'll activate it often with that brave sword and skill stat. Hopefully she improves that speed though.

Same problem as Sety. He joined too late to be very useful to my team, and like Tinny was being fed kills (and people.) I've no idea why he has more defense than STRENGTH! WHAT'S UP WITH BRIGGID'S CHILDREN?! BRIGGID WAS AWESOME! He is so strength screwed it's not even funny. Jamka had no strength. I might have to stoop down to rigging. Hopefully he'll turn out useful anyways because of Ichival.

Fun fact: Leen never procced speed. Leen was nowhere near as useful as Sylvia because...I don't know. Her dancing helped occasionally, but it was never something necessary like Sylvia. Oh, but that will change in chapter 10. I think.

During the arena, most units had a ton of money, so I passed around the paragon ring.

Now for some promotions.

Tinny's looking really good right now. She's one off from capping magic, and skill and speed is capped already. Now she wants more luck and defenses, and mostly hp.

Capped Strength? Check. Tons of hp? check. Pls get more defenses, and possibly some speed too, although that's not that much of an issue.

She's a slightly better version of Ayra, but she has less speed, and only 1 more strength. Her defenses are much more solid however. She'll be awesome once she caps strength and speed.

Thank god he god at least 1 strength. Later on he gets more, so I'm happy. I want more speed, and lots more strength. Lots.

Sety buys Bargain and the Leg ring. There's a village on the other side of the map that normally requires Fee, so I'm going to try to have him get up there and save it in time. The problem is...

This squad. Screw the extra talking. Brave Lances, Brave Bows, sleep swords, and Hannibal is recruitable. I need Sety to plow through these guys. He manages to pull if off though.

In addition to that purchase, Tinny buys Sety's Elwind, and Julia buys Tinny's wind. Shanan finally sells Thoron and Tinny buys it.

Hannibal is indeed recruitable. His bases are shit, his movement is shit, and his growths are complete shit. He's a terrible unit, and Ardan would kick his ass in combat.

His skills are marginal shit too, although Adept isn't bad (though it will never activate with his low speed). Vantage is rarely useful. The problem is the 5 leadership stars, meaning that I've got to be careful when fighting units near him.

Canas Kanatz isn't very good, he'll die easily to my team.

Disler is basically the same. He sucks too, and is guarding Luthecia. Sety will have to pass him in order to save the village.

Altenna's as scary as ever.

I always have him use the Balmung and he should get 50 kills by Ch10 which he then becomes more boss than even Larcei!

Charge is always awesome if mixed with Pursuit and Adapt along with those at 2 range with no enemy counter attacks as well as those with good defense/res! :D

I'm bringing Arthur and Leaf because this is an "all hands on deck" mission. Actually, I need Leaf to recruit Altenna. I need my badasses to take on Hannibal's squad since they're way more deadly. Don't worry, I'm leaving Faval with the scrubs to help them out.

The battle begins as the sleep sword armor misses Patty and then she slaughters him. Meanwhile a bunch of armors block Sety's path without attacking. Maybe he should have equipped Lightning. Oh well.

Tinny kills this Armor. I don't want Hannibal suiciding into any of us, or moving forward to give his men the 5 leadership stars.

You can see the effect of 5 leadership stars in Patty's attack. That hit rate of the enemy should have been 18!

Trabant is pretty damn powerful. He only has 6 AS, but he'll hit you like a truck. Oh, and he'll double Johalva. Barely. You can't cheese him with arrows because he has Nihil, so your best bet to beating him is to shower him with magic. I've got just the right people! 4 leadership stars means that you probably want some charisma support from Delmud/Nanna as well as Serlis's Leadership.

Nice choice of targets. Serlis is a boss unlike Leaf though and dodges them. Even without a promotion he can hold his own, and I like him for that! (Although that's probably the sword.)

Although some can't pick the right target. There was Johalva, Lakche, Shanan, Scathach, a bunch of other units that couldn't be countered: and they go for the one unit who'll kill them.

We get a Corple! In order for him to be any good, Sylvia must be paired with either Claud, Levin, or Azel. With the first and last, he makes a great staffbot because of highish magic. With Claud he also starts with an A in staves. With Levin or Azel he can be a decent combat unit. Levin will give him speed, and Blaggi Blood will boost his magic. Oh, and he can use Holsety after he promotes, so there's that. Azel, as usual, gives high magic and speed, but he'll have to stick to Elfire for good damage. The worst magic type. Since he joins so damn late it's hard to salvage him. Lex gives him a 25% magic growth, which sucks, so he'll suck. However, he will see a lot of use because I lose Julia next chapter, depriving me of a staffbot (Sety doesn't count because he'll be running all over the map trying to save villages and stuff.) I can also give him a few staves that don't rely on magic so that he isn't a complete liability. Next chapter also contains children that will give him levels.

Adept, prayer, and vantage are useless, he's never going to see combat under my w-aa? He has an A in staves? Huh. I guess I can give him recover then. Rescue too, but he'll never be able to afford it. Paragon is going to be useful as hell for him, because it'll help him level up fairly fast. All in all, he's a terrible unit, but he'll see some use.

Let's start Corple's "training" by having him waste money! I really should have bought him recover this chapter instead of wasting physic. Oh well. Also, Hannibal's been spoiling him, look at that tummy!

Keep preventing reinforcements. If the reinforcements come, but Corple talks to Hannibal, do the reinforcements die?

Well that's all behind us, I guess. We get the "best castle guard ever."

Then these guys show up. They're scary, but they're also rich, and give out plenty of experience!

Musar is really scary. Because he uses wind magic, he's fast as hell (18 AS). In addition, he has pursuit, meaning he'll double many of my team, even Julia if she equips Nosferatu! (If she equips wind, she'll double him.) He's pretty dodgy, and no one of my team has any res, so he'll hit hard. He drops a tornado, and Sety will get it for mook killing, and save Holsety for important kills.

Honestly, the best way to deal with this squad is to camp out in the mountains and force them to attack you there. You'll have an evade bonus, and then you can crash down on them from both sides. Greek strategies work out well in FE!

Serlis gets attacked, and continues showing why he's better than Leaf.

This happens. The entire mountain gets clogged. And Sety wins his tome.

After recruiting Hannibal, these guys showed up.

Pursuit won't do much, since he can't double any of my team (except Steel Axe!Johalva). He will hurt though because dark magic. When combined with ballistae, yeah. My plan will be to send in Shanan to assassinate him, then the others will follow. Sety will likely get hit because of the magic triangle.

Did you notice that new ballista sprite on the map?

Dammit. This guy'll actually hit us. And has a 6% chance of sending a 52 might attack at us. It'll kill Julia!
