HF Makalov Fanboy Kai Posted September 1, 2015 Share Posted September 1, 2015 Just aggro him with Phantoms! its arguably not worth it go all the way down to glass's location just for that, not to mention if you do that, that means you'll be ignoring the thiefs that will spawn and grab all the treasure i see where you are coming from, but you'd have to look at the map itself to understand the time issue. also this is the chapter where the hack creator learned how to spawn more enemies then the normal stage would already have, so if you go down there to try to help glass, you gotta deal with two thiefs running around and stealing everything instead of just one in the original. this hack is not well made Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Renault turns into a grey unit and charges off in the exact opposite direction of where Glass is. Again, the eventing is messing with the "unique" story... Kiwi: Heheh… Now, Kiwi wishes something from you, Lord Gheb. Kiwi: Your second-in-command, Glass, he’s imprisoned deep in this dump. Search for Kiwi, search for your commander. Search for Glass? We won't have to do that at all! He'll comes to us! ...Right? Gheb: Douchebag!! I’ll play your fukken game… And you’ll be so fukken dead!! Kiwi: Yes, this is what Kiwi is looking for! Kiwi: Take your arms, for you’re all about to face an EPIC foe. I kinda doubt that... Kiwi's mooks flood the place, as usual. Gheb: This Kiwi is pising me off, big time!! I’ll rip him appart!! Does Gheb actually HAVE a surprise attack!? Nope. END DIALOGUE It's time for the final chapter of "FE8 Lyn Mode"! Once we're done here, it'll be time to choose a route... Anyways. We sadly only get 9 units, so a few guys have to be left out. Namely, Riev and Selena. We'll be fine without those magic-users, right? Here's the formation. I always found this starting position really cramped in normal FE8... The map. Malakov said that the maker found a way to put more enemies than there were in the normal game... hmmm... Generics still insane, though, they actually look a bit LESS insane than normal... Kiwi himself has some crazy stats, but at the same time, doesn't seem THAT tough for the Chapter-8 climax boss. You see this here myrm? Yup, Lightning Sword, just as promised! I initially felt aggravated at the increased stats... ...But then I realized that I had them too. NEXT TIME: The castle of horrors! So, it's time to announce the results of the poll! There were 4 and 3(7 total) votes on the idea of doing 1 route. Apparently, NOBODY wanted to take the middle road. We're not going to do that. There were 20 votes to just end the LP at the end of this chapter. Much as I'd LOVE to, it unfortunately didn't win out... There were 18 and 26(44 total) votes to do both routes, with the one for "gheb's route first" having the greater total. So yeah. We're going to be playing both routes, and we're going to be doing Gheb's first. Next up, we have to decide which route is going to be canon! What do you know. This is not a good start. Neither is this. I do not have a good feeling about this chapter. The omens have been moved from "bad" to "Moniker will literally die". Phew! *lets out breath* Do good and bad luck balance each other out? Maybe. Here's Glass's team! Note that it's not quite in ordinary FE7 formation, since Renault is with them. I find it interesting how he managed to add a unit here. And so, lackofanOrson confirmed! Glen: There’s a lot more I can tell you… Glass: Not now, there’s people to kill. Remy!! Glass: You ok now? They're safe where they are for a little while, but remember, the lightning sword mook is the very first enemy in their path! I have to get Colm down there to steal it, but Batta's group is still pretty far away... Yeah, there's problems with the plan. But I'm doing it anyway! We get a key, the enemy gets a thief. We can make it to the chest first! OUT OF THE WAY! Thank you for your contributions to the "save Glass" fund! You guys can just hang back... Maybe this positioning will block some of the cavaliers? Colm's made it! LIGHTNING BATTLE! IT'S ALL MINE! HA! I DID IT! Now I just have to keep Glass's group alive and beat the chapter! *salivates* I notice that both Renault's level and inventory have been reset. I KNEW it was a good idea to take his items... This, Cormag... this is the potential I see in you! Get more levels like this! Gheb will take care of these fools. Great! Honestly, at the rate he's going, Gheb is going to slam the HP and strength caps and then get barely anything because that's what he's specialized in. Here's to hoping his promotions have better-than-30 strength cap... unfortunately, I don't think changing the HP cap was a thing when this hack was made. I move my guys to kill an archer, and sure enough, it's the EXACT TURN that these idiots come! AGH! RNG abuse most certainly IS required to survive here. Granted, it could be because of my bad strategy, but still. It's EXTRA required when CRAP LIKE THIS HAPPENS! What the heck is it with this Nergal thing!? Why, oh WHY MUST BATTA SUCK!? GLASS, YOU ARE DOING LITERALLY THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF HELPING Seriously, my guys missed so many times this chapter... Well... at least he didn't get the chest! Beautiful! There was so much screwage in this chapter it all sort of blended together...) Good job Gerik! Lyon and Glass's group UNITE! Yeah, I'm not letting Team Glass go alone. Gerik, that's not strength. Cormag's been trying to kill the lightning sword myrm, but she keeps healing herself! Good! Great! Gheb is almost maxed... I want to see more Ewan-style levels... Maybe I showed too little tactics and too many levels this chapter... whatever. We're almost finished here! The shaman doesn't move? What? (Well, he does, just not for people on my side of the wall.) Let's bring the team together again! Okay I guess... Great! Why couldn't Glass have gotten more levels like this in 5x? Meh. I'm not using him anyway. Gheb gets one last level... And here he is! His level 20 self! Here's to hoping we get a promotion item before Chapter 17 or whatever it was, otherwise we're in trouble! As a unit, I'd say I'm getting lucky with Gheb's growths. He's hit a lot of 20%s. Not to mention, his ludicrous strength turns into a good thing. Having someone who can smash stuff REALLY HARD is useful! Of course, Gheb is still Gheb. I forgot Colm's lockpick, I was so intent on having him steal stuff... oh well, I'll just grab it out of the convoy. Sent Colm up north with Caellach, Kiwi and Batta. THAT's where I ran into trouble, they all kept getting slaughtered.Lyon, Amelia, Cormag, Ewan and Gheb did a decent job heading west. I'm happy to see you having Gheb use bows. I found them to be a pretty good weapon for him over all. High strength means he always does a lot of damage, and his low everything else means he can be kept behind the front lines and alive. I didn't realize Renaults level reset with his inventory. Suddenly, cut to the Tower of Valni! Joshua is leading the attack! Keep that in mind for the future, possibly... The enemies are so buffed, these guys get wrecked even harder than in vanilla. And the Sacred stone is destroyed! Joshua: I’m gonna PWN yoo. You can do it, Generic knight! FIGHT! WIN! ...Dangit. Lute: That stone could’ve been used for better more useful things. Better than Selena's contributions to the cause! Glass: We’re gonna head for Grado. So, if you couldn't guess, Glass is going to go capture the big bad enemy castle, while Gheb is heading for Rausten instead of Jehanna, so he can kill Valter. Renault: Got it, monsieur.
