Peppy
Well, Vote's over. Lady will look the same until she gets Tiki's Dragon Hairpiece! My personal favorite, too! She won't be wearing Jagen's mask though...
Peppy
Prologue V and VI Turns Taken: (Prologue V): 6 turns (Prologue VI): 2 turns Starting Prologue 5. Athena, Luke and Sheeda will be my three extra units. Merric joins up this chapter. Always nice to have another magic user around. Good thing too, Lady's starting to run low on Fire Tome uses. She attacks the Hunter afterwards and Wrys heals her. I always welcome some speed. Athena baits these units out well, considering her high speed. Unfortunately though, the Thief and Barbarian stayed put so she moved one to the right. Always good to have one of these. Only the thief survives and the other Barbarian comes to us. Dead! ...and Dead! Luke Lures in the other hunter. Wrys healed Athena. I don't expect much from him, considering his growths. Doesn't really matter. Lady and Luke gang up on this hunter and kill himn Sheeda, Merric and Lady gang up on the boss. I decided to give Lady the kill here... Wrys healed Sheeda before this happened. Not bad, Lady. Not bad... I have decided to take Draug's route. First Map with a Prep Screen. These are the units i pick (I can only pick two extra units though...) Looks Like we have a third extra unit after all. She comes with good equipment for the whole party too. Merric and Athena guard the bridges (Athena is unarmed since she will be bombarded and killed if she kills the soldier) Athena Attacks this soldier. Sheeda attacks this mage. I'd be happy about this if i used you for the entire playthrough. Lady Gets this kill. Cecil Chips Draug. Cecil Dodges like a boss. Merric finishes Draug off. Merric didn't even get a level up out of this! Going to Cain's route. That's it for now. Edited November 17, 2012 by Otacon
Peppy
Prologue VII Turns Taken: 4 turns My three extra's are Cecil, Athena and Sheeda. Lady and Merric share the Elfire to kill both Armor Knights. I hate how most of the mages in this game have a bad magic growth. Defense is always nice though. This is how i position my units for first turn. Wrys heals Lady. Also, Lady and Merric are basically tome buddies until prologue is over. Sheeda and Athena easily take care of these two enemies. The mages kill the other two enemies while Cecil goes to block the fort at the top-right. I manage to block all the forts where the reinforcements come from. Cain goes ahead and attacks Lady. Luckily, she has enough speed to not get doubled. Speed's pretty important in this game so i'm glad it's up to par so far. Sheeda attacks Cain. Wrys gets more EXP before i finish this chapter. Merric Finishes Cain off. Onto the last Prologue Chapter
Peppy
Prologue VIII Turns taken: 8 turns I'm a bit worried about the Silver Axe Barbarians, honestly. My three Extra's are Cain, Athena and Sheeda. Merric and Lady kill this Thief together. I position my units like this since the right side has a lot of enemies close by. Marth Kills this thief and Lady kill's the Hunter to the Left. Sheeda and Merric kill this Hunter as Athena heals Wrys. Cain goes on that Hunter's spot and tanks the two barbarian's nearby. Meh, I don't have much to say about you. Lady kills this Barbarian. Cain and Merric kill this Barbarian off. Not bad, Merric. Could of used some magic, though. This is how the rest of my units are set up. Athena Chugs a Vulnerary. Lady kills this Thief while Marth kills the thief next to him. Some magic would be nice. Marth's off with a decent start. Merric kills this mage. These are the position of my units. Athena chugs a vulnerary again. Wrys heals Lady. Lady kills the Barbarian while Athena and Merric kill the thief (Thief was two spaces down Merric while Barbarian was two spaces to the right of Lady). This Barbarian dies in the hands of Sheeda and Marth. Cain goes over here. This thief kicks the bucket thanks to Merric. Sheeda Lures in the Mage since she has the most resistance (Merric does too but he was preoccupied). Merric and Lady kill this Mage. Like i said, The magic growths for magic users in this game is mediocre. Sheeda utilized the map save. Athena and Cain position themselves to take on the final wave of enemies. Both thieves get killed by the mages. *sigh*... Sheeda and Marth finish off Katarina. Marth decided to do overkill for the finishing blow. Marth doesn't get a level up out of that kill. This ends Prologue VIII. Next time, I'll start playing the real chapters!
Dr. Tarrasque
You growths could've been better and fuck those bases. At least she's getting the HP to Nosferatank well and hopefully speed will at leas be enough to avoid being doubled. The Rescue Staff, Aura and Nosferatu will do wonders for me. The Hammerne is a nice thing to have too!
Komeiji Koishi
But that's (Hammerne) only got like 3 uses, IIRC, so there might be some problem with that. Although, you could just forge stuff if Mag or high might Tomes become a problem...

Although, you could just forge stuff if Mag or high might Tomes become a problem... Yep. I plan to use it for Rescue first, then Aura then Nosferatu. I plan to forge a Shaver tome to +3 Mt to make Draco's and Wyvern's less of a pain to deal with. I plan to forge a Fire tome to +3 Mt to give Lady a good start. I plan to forge a Shaver tome to +3 Mt to make Draco's and Wyvern's less of a pain to deal with. I plan to forge a Fire tome to +3 Mt to give Lady a good start. Dragons are your best friend. Well, they're mine, considering i was ambushed and chased by ASStram's hero Squad in ch. 10 and never got around to doing some arena grinding. I'm pretty sure African Wyvs and Frosts give out the same EXP yield a pop (about 70+?). Dunno about European Fires and your Mage Lungs, cause I haven't dealt with them yet, but in any case, it's like Arena grinding without the excess amount of money you get from winning. Have fun with that Shaver tome!
Shadow Mir
I can never fathom just why the hell the developers decided it was a good idea to give Magic class such horrible bases and none of them having a speed cap over 25. Well, if you ask me, what went down with mages in FE7 and FE8 was even worse. Consider the fact that tomes of C rank and above were heavy enough that most mages couldn't use them without taking a bad hit to their AS (and worse yet, C rank tomes weren't strong enough to justify the tradeoff)... That said, I agree with you that bad bases for mages in the DS games was just ugh.
Peppy
Since the Translation Patch is now out, I think it's a good time as ever to start Chapter 1. Take note that i will be selling All Axes and Bows since i don't need them at all. Chapter 1 Turns Taken: 8 Turns [spoiler=Assets] Funds: 10000G at Start, 1176G Earned, 1650G Spent, 9526G Remaining Items Bought: Fire x2 (One to Forge) Items Sold: All the Bows i had in my convoy. Statboosters Used: None I forge a Fire tome so Lady can get a good head start. Cheesy, Unoriginal Title's FTW. I reclass Cecil to a Peg. Knight so she can get the Bullion from the cave. Like so..! Cecil will also block all the Thief reinforcements. Lady kills this mage like a boss. Marth kill's this Barbarian. Please don't make me shove tons upon tons of Energy drops in you. Luckily, This Barbarian missed. This barbarian gets the life knocked out of him in an instant. Marth Finishes off this Hunter. Lady waits for Marth since she's pretty low on HP. We get out first Staff user. Probably our primary Staff user, too. Malicia get's to work right away. Lady also uses a Vulnerary so she can take some hits. Marth needs experience too, you know. The reason why he and Sirius are free to use from Ch. 4 Marth gets fort advantage. Incase anything goes awry... SO MANY VULNERARYS. Marth Kill's this Barbarian. OVERKILL! Lady Kills this Hunter. I get Lorenz to kill himself. I want my Mend staff. Marth Finishes this hunter once he's done talking to Lorenz. Some strength would of been nice... Unfortunately, Malicia is too far away to heal Marth. Marth seizes the throne. See! Oh, did i also tell you that i hate Lang's Guts.
Peppy
Chapter 2 Turns Taken: 10 Turns [spoiler=Assets] Funds: 9526G at Start, 5000G Earned, 0G Spent, 14526G Remaining Items Bought: None Items Sold: Bullion (S). Statboosters Used: None Meet Catria, the only other Physical Weapon user i'll be using for this playthrough. I recruit him since this is also a Recruit Everybody Playthrough. Getting the Lady Sword isn't worth it here. By the Time Catria Promotes, I'll have two of these... I have my units move forward. Catria Easily Kills this Hunter. Lady Lures in this Hunter. Catria Recruit's Warren. Catria then kills this hunter. I love how units can attack right after doing a different command. I equip the Rapier since there are some pesky Cavalier nearby. Lady helps Marth so he can deal with less enemies. She got a Skill and Luck Level out of that (Damn Shin Levels...) This Silver Sword Cav has an agonizing death. 3 Crits in a row... I don't think marth likes these Cavaliers. You definetly need to be healed. As Lady Follows Marth while chugging a Vulnerary, Catria kills this soldier. Ouch. Well, At least she has good HP for tanking. I get myself in a bad situation. Marth kills this Cav. So i have my unit's do this. Lady Chugs a Vulnerary use and Catria chips the draco. I put Malicia out of the Draco's range. I use this Map Save with Malicia. Catria Kills this Draco. Not Bad, Considering your Strength Growth is Hit and Miss. I gladly welcome this level up. I'm not sure if the Last Dracoknight comes once i Lure the boss in so i'll use this map save too. Screw You, Lady makes you Draco's look like a laughing stock. Lady gives Rumel another Hard hit. C'mon, C'mon, C'mon... YES! Rumel kicks the bucket quite easily. Your typical level up from catria... Except the Res. I don't seize the throne yet. There is one more EXP sinkhole i have to deal with. Get some strength, Please. Catria gets the last kill of this Chapter. She just knows when to do a Critical hit. Marth Seizes and this Chapter is over. Marth can now do a thief's job. Aside from that, it's just there to collect dust in Marth's inventory.
Peppy
Chapter 3 Turns Taken: 29 Turns [spoiler=Assets] Funds: 14526G at Start, 0G Earned, 0G Spent, 14526G Remaining Items Bought: None Items Sold: None Statboosters Used: None Hurray, another mage. She also comes with two special tomes that only the Female Magic users get the delight to use. I have all my unit's move left. Meanwhile, Palla goes to kill this thief. Like So! With the time Palla has to participate in this run, She starts off with a bang. Palla goes to this fort to deal with the incoming cavalier. Marth skips the Bridge key village since i don't need it. As Palla chugs a Vulnerary Use, My Team moves forward. Way to go, Palla! Marth recruits Bord as well. That Works. I use this Map save. Luring in these Draco's won't be a fun task. These dracoknights won't move but i have my unit's bodyguard Malicia just incase though. Almost there... ...and, they are out of there. They continue to proceed to the castle, stopping by to the village on the way. Marth Visits the village to recruit Julian. Linde and Lady Lure in the first two dracoknights next turnzaz. Sadly, Linde can't even finish off this Dracoknight with the Thunder tome. Catria goes to kill this Dracoknight. As you can see, I lure in two DK's at a time. Pretty nice there, Catria. Catria got a crit. She never fails to please. Catria then chips so Linde can get this kill. HP and Speed is to be expected but nice job on the Defense proc. I don't like where this is going... Malicia's Average level up. I'm just thankful she has a 50% Magic growth after promotion. Marth Kill's this Draco. Lady gets this kill once Catria chipped the Dracoknight. You get Strength but not Magic... Really? Really?!? Marth lures in all of the Cavalier and kills all of the Generic cavalier. Not bad, Marth. Hahahaha... GG, Matthis. Matthis at least has good defense. This is good for when he tries to attack Marth at 1 Range... >_> Yea... I think Matthis is mentally retarded. Julian Recruits Matthis. He doesn't seem to be happy with him... Now that Matthis is Recruited, i have my units kill the Ballistician and Ryuke. Continue to make me proud, Malicia! Lady goes ahead and Attacks Ryuke. Linde Attacks this Ballistician. Lady wants to get Rid of Ryuke badly... Strength Again? Well, at least you got a pretty decent level up. This is definetly going to Catria. I'll lose faith in you if you don't have a good magic stat by the time you promote. I find it funny how these Draco's still won't budge when i go right near them. Palla Chips... Catria Kills this guy to get the Master seal. Marth Seizes the Throne. Luckily, I still go to Ch. 3x since all my units survived in prologue. Dr. Tarrasque
Urgh... those screens just reminded me of how stupidly tedious this chapter was on Lunatic. Also it's a shame your MU hasn't been getting SPD lately, she couldn't even double the boss and he's a freaking General.

Peppy
Chapter 3x Turns Taken: 7 Turns [spoiler=Assets] Funds: 14526G at Start, 1255G Earned, 3200G Spent, 12581G Remaining Items Bought: Heal (x4). Items Sold: Iron Axe (x2), Steel Bow, Hammer Statboosters Used: None Lady and Malicia have a little chat. Don't be so Pessimistic. I'm sure you can stay on my team for a good while if your RNG Blessed. Don't be so Delusional. I could easily kill you if you didn't run away like a pansy... Marth disposes of this Armor Knight Easily. Critical Hit! Catria doesn't like Armor Knights... ...and It's because of Catria's crit that Linde's life becomes easier. I have Lady give Linde the Nosferatu tome and have her equip it. Linde's HP is quite low... Lady easily kills this armor knight. Wrys makes a break for it... Linde kills both archers and crit's one of them like a pro. Don't worry Wrys, Help is on the way. See? She runs away. Why not just stay and kill us off if your so great... Catria gives this archer the boot. The rest of my team moves forward and Wrys goes on the fort. Catria hacks away at this Knight. Wrys was smart enough to bring a vulnerary so he can survive. I'm pretty happy with your Defense stat. Linde swoops in and gets the kill. I get the feeling you'll cap speed but have very, very low magic. Wrys heals Catria. If he keeps this up, he may be a permanent member of this group during this run. Slow down Marth, Save some for the others... I give Linde this last kill. Marth Seizes. Lady stayed back incase reinforcements came but i seized before they could arrive. I also notice my Mages are getting a bit RNG Screwed. I put up a poll so see if you think that the Mages or Staff Users will end up having better stats. Edited December 1, 2012 by Otacon

N.G
Definately go for Mages minus Yubello. I don't trust anyone with such a horrible starting magic stat (-1? Are you fucking serious??). Reclass your mages to clerics for a slight boost in magic growth if you absolutely have to, but otherwise, they'll do... okay-ish. 12 magic's not horrible for a 20'd Mage Merric
