This is a wonderful game and my third favorite of all time and that I'd love to be of some help in this translation. ^^ Right now I'm working on a translation script to this game, so that I can leave some of you guys out of the job as you've already worked very hard on the patch and still needs work as I do see that it still needs to be worked on. Like Rody is Rodu right now, etc. I've formerly contributed in the past and now I'm officially making my return as this incredible game made me consider to return. Things I will try to do, but might need some assistence in getting certain convos, like when you lose certain characters as they may change when you lose certain characters in the game. Thing I will do.... -Make script of every chapter overtime. -Will update it overtime -Will include death quotes as it wouldn't be Fire Emblem without them. -It might require starting the same chapters several times to fully explore every convo as they also change with MU being male/female. -Credit has already been given for the creation of the translation patch of course. -Will enlist the treasures and spoils in another guide. Things I need some assistance on... -Letting certain characters die as I need to know if the story will change or not. -Battling Astram in Chapter 7/8. Might have to do casual mode with Normal to pull this off as I need that too. -Battling Jeorge in Chapter 5. Same as described above will have to be done to make this work. -Will need a convo as to what happens when you battle Sirius in Chapter 4. -Will need convos as to what happens if Radd and Cesar survive in Chapter 6x. -Will need convos as to what happens if you don't obtain all 12 of the starshards for the Starsphere as I won't be doing that. -Will need convos and the ending as to what happens if you don't get the Sealed Shield at the end of Chapter 20. -I might have trouble doing the ending as it does go automatically and that I have no savestate option to get around this as I am playing this game on NO$GBA as I am using a pretty slow computer right now temporarily for the next two months since my other one broke down and have to replace. Anyway, I've fully done three prologue chapters right now and still working on in all in due time as I want this script to be in great development. Remember Patience=Better development. =) Script Prologue Chapters 1 and 2 fully complete. I also have three fully completed as these chapters are extremely short. Some may take more time as I am using a slow computer right now as I don't want this script to be half assed. Title Screen There is not a soul who does not know of Marth, King and savior. But there are few who know that person. Marth fought valiantly in battle with many renowed heros by his side.... ....as well as that person. That person was Marth's confident and friend. A shadow who aided Marth's victories. History books hold no record of this hero and shadow. The other protaganist of the War Of Heros. Their name was-- Before starting the game Select a mode First Option Casual Fallen allies return next chapter Description (Top Menu): Fallen allies in battle return in the next chapter. This mode is for casual players. (This selection does not effect story.) Classic Fallen allies are permenenly lost Description (Top Menu): Fallen allies are permenently lost. This mode is the standard series experience. (This selection does not effect story.) Anna: Welcome! Today, another hero will be born. One who will decide the world's fate... Anna: What's your name, hero? Name your character then... Anna: Are you a boy, or a girl? Anna: What's your occupation? Anna: And what do you look like? I was in a hurry, and... Excuse me, did you come to become an Altean Knight as well? My Unit: Yeah. I came all the way here from Sera village when I've heard they were recruiting new knights. My name's (Whatever you named your character) Katarina: Saida? That sounds so dignified! Were here for the same reason, then. My name is Katarina. I came because I wish to serve Prince Marth. But there sure are a lot of hopefuls here. Look, there's one over there and another there... Luke: Here it is! This is where my shining legacy starts! The first chapter of my epic saga to become Altea's greatest knight! Rody:...Luke, I'm going up ahead. (At first they call him Rodu which is actually a translation error meanting to say Rody.) Luke: Hey, wait up, Rody! Don't leave your partner behind! (Next Scene) My Unit: There's no doubt those two were knight canidates like us. Katarina: We should follow them, My Unit. I think the leader of the knights, Sir Jagan, has something to say to all of us. (Next Scene) (A letter g in his name is only half shown) Jagan: Altea's gates have opened today so that we may test you as potential knights. Knights will be chosen by their ability, not by their blood. The path is not easy, however. We have gathered a hundred men and women today, and only a handful of you will succeed. Katarina: T-this is nerve-wracking. My Unit: I'm nervous too, but I've been training hard for this day. Jagan: We expect every one of you to show us the results of your arduous training! Apprentices, I want you to gather in pairs! You will be facing real Altean knights in mock combat! Katarina: Huh?! We have to fight? T-this could be a problem... My Unit, would you please partner with me? I'm training to become a stratigist. My Unit: A strategist? Katarina: Y-yes. I can give you advice on how to fight, but I can't fight at all... Soldier: Hey, you two! You're up next. Grab your weapons and get into position. Hurry! My Unit: Got it! Let's go, Katarina! The test is about to start. Katarina: Y-yes! Let's do our best. Map begins Katarina: My Unit! Let's move to that spot over there. After moving to the spot... Soldier: So you made it to the right place. I'll be your first opponent. Attack me however you like! Battle begins After defeating the soldier... Jagan: ...I'm your final opponent for the day. Don't hold back! After engaging combat... Jagan: Excellent. Show me what you've got! After defeating Jagan... Jagan: Urgh...I've been beaten? After clearing the map My Unit: Phew...we won, somehow. Jagan: Yes...splendid work! I see we can expect much from this year's apprentices. Katarina: You did it! We won, My Unit! ...But I didn't really do anything... It was all thanks to you that we won, My Unit! Jagan: Prince Marth wishes to address everyone who passed the test. Sire, if you please. Marth: I humbly thank you all for coming. Katarina: Ah, it's Prince Marth! He looks so majestic. So that's the face of the hero who saved the world. I love the stories about Prince Marth in the last war. How about you, My Unit? My Unit: Of course. After all, Prince Marth was the hero who brought an end to the previous war. Katarina: Yes, he defeated the Shadow Dragon and Dark Pontifex, restoring peace to the world. Jagan: You there, silence! You stand before Prince Marth! Katarina: Eep! Marth: Everyone. I'm truly happy that so many came to help shoulder Altea's future. With the war over, peace has returned. However, peace isn't something we can simply take for granted: It is my duty, as ruler, to risk my life to protect it. Alone, I am powerless. So, everyone. From now on, I want you to lend me your power, as my knights. Katarina: Hear hear, Prince Marth! It was wonderful hearing Prince Marth speak, wasn't it, My Unit? My Unit: Yes, it was. We have to do our best so he can rely on us. Katarina: Let's keep at it together! If you lose the battle... MU: ...Urgh... Katarina: MU!? It can't be... Pull yourself together, MU! Prologue 2 Young Squires! Start of chapter In the past, there was a war known as the War Of Shadows. It began when the fearsome Shadow Dragon, Medeus, launched a sudden invasion. The kingdom of Archanea, protector of the lands, clashed with Medeus's forces. But against such a superior knight, Archanea was overwhelmed and trembled in defeat. Nyna, princess of Archanea, had no choice but to flee from her beloved homeland. To rescue Archanea, the Kingdom of Altea, it's allied nation, sallied fourth. However, it too was defeated by Medeus. With it's king lost to war, Altea fell into ruins... From his exiled shores Marth, young prince of Altea, swore he would retake his homeland. Marth never forgot his oath. Years later, he rallied an army at Talys to defeat Medeus. Starting with Caeda, Talys's princess, Marth gathered together many allies. Duke Hardin, Nyna's guardian, also became one of his trusted comrades. With Archanea's treasured "Fire Emblem" awarded to him by Nyna, Marth led the Archanean League, as it's commander. In the following battles, the league wrestled back control of both Archanea and Altea. Finally, after a long and fierce battle with the Shadow Dragon Medeus's forces... Marth vanquished the Shadow Dragon...And thus did peace return to the world. These are the events that transpired one year ago. Katarina: My Unit, we have been designated as members of the 7th Platoon. I'm glad we were grouped together. My Unit (Male): As am I. Who are the others? My Unit (female): As am I. Who else do we have in our platoon? Luke: I'm Luke! Or if you prefer, you can call me Luke, the Paladin of Dawn! Rody: I am Rody. It is a pleasure to meet you. So, is that everyone? Ryan: U-um...I'm a new recruit, too. My name is Ryan. I'm an archer. My Unit: It looks like that's all five of us. Well, what's the plan for today? Katarina: There was an order from Sir Jagan. Today's mission is to decide who the new commander will be. Luke (If My Unit is female): Commander? Gotcha! Oh, what's that? Luke should be the one? Yes, I completely agree! (If My Unit is male): Comander? Gotcha! Well, I'll be comander if you guys insist! Rody(If My Unit is female): Don't make up our words... Rody(If My Unit is male): Nobody's insisting anything, Luke... Katarina: Excuse me. I'd like to recommend My Unit. My Unit: Katarina...? Katarina: My Unit is a really strong individual. And he/she didn't abandon me during the mook combat yesterday, even though I couldn't fight. Luke (If My Unit is female): Alright then, I challenge her! My Unit, if you beat me, I'll recognize you as leader. Luke (If My Unit is male): Alright then, I challenge him! My Unit, if you beat me, I'll cede the position to you. Katarina: Huh? H-how has it come to this? Luke: It's a challenge, man to man! My Unit (if female): But I'm a woman... Luke (If My Unit is male): My Unit, your not afraid to fight me, are you? Luke (If My Unit is female): Well, then it's a man-to-woman challenge!! My Unit, your not afraid to to fight me, are you? Katarina: Don't be silly. My Unit won't lose to you. Rody: So we'll decide with a battle. That'll let us know who's got the skill to be commander. (Next Scene) Katarina: I'm sorry, My Unit. That was selfish of me... But I couldn't stand hearing them make fun of you... My Unit (Female): It's okay. When my grandfather trained me, he used to say something similar. My Unit (Male): It's okay. When my grandfather trained me, he used to say the same thing. He said that the best way for men to understand each other is by fighting. (If My Unit is female): Well, I'm a girl, but... Katarina (Male): Huh. Y-your grandfather sure sounds colorful... Katarina: Anyway, our opponents are Luke and Rody. It's been decided that Ryan will be on our team. Ryan: Y-yes. I'll do my best. (Next Scene) Rody: Luke, how should we go about this? Luke: Rody, you wait at the back. I'll fight alone! It's just My Unit and that kid, right? If that's all, I should be able to handle it. I'll show them my true strength. Rody: You're at it again...? Fine, have it your way. But I think underestimating your opponent will get you into trouble. Engaging battle with Luke... With Ryan Luke: Kiddo, just stand back and watch! Only Saida is worthy of fighting me! With My Unit Luke(MU Male): My Unit, I've heard rumors about you! Sir Jagan said that there was a recruit who stood out from the rest of us! MU Male: Is that so? Luke(MU female): Sorry, My Unit, but I won't hold back just because you're a girl! My Unit(female): That's fine with me. Luke(MU Male): Yeah, that's right! And I bet you're hogging all the attention, overshadowing the rest of us! Luke(MU Male): I'll beat you here to prove I'm the best! Prepare yourself! Luke(MU female): I'll show you what I've got! My Unit, try not to fall in love with me! After defeating Luke... Luke: Gwah...?! I-Impossible... The future hero, Luke, defeated... After quote... Rody: As I thought, Luke couldn't win alone. I guess I'll have to fight, too. Engaging battle with Rody... Rody (Ryan): My opponent is an archer... Then I should engage him in close-quarters. Rody (My Unit): My Unit, I've heard rumors about you as well. I need to see your ability firsthand, especially if you're to become the commander. I ask you this, as a fellow squire of Altea. After defeating Rody... Rody: Urgh! I see... You are even stronger than I had imagined... After battle... Katarina: Thank goodness... My Unit, you won. I knew you could do it. Luke: Alright, I'm a man of my word. I'll keep my promise. From here on, the commander'll be My Unit! Gah, but I don't get it! I was so confident in my skills! How did I wind up losing?! Rody: Because we didn't fight together. We took turns fighting My Unit one-on-one. That's why we lost to him/her. Ryan: Yeah, my brother once said the same thing... Even if we are weak individually, we can became stronger by working together with our friends. My Unit: That's right. Fighting with your friends: That is the way of an Altean knight. Luke: ...I see. I thought I could be the victor through my strength alone. But I guess I was wrong. Fighting together is far more important... Katarina: Luke... I'm so glad. You understand now. Luke: Yeah, it's all clear to me! It looks like being the leader is more trouble than it's worth. So I'll leave this bothersome job to My Unit! I'm sure it'll be a joy working under him/her! My Unit, I'll be looking forward to your help! Katarina: ...Does he really get it? Luke: Alright then, My Unit! Now that your the commander, how about I give you a cool title? My Unit: A title? Luke: Yeah. All the legendary heros have their own awesome title! Hm, let's see... Looking at your eyes... It's got to be My Unit the Ordinary! My Unit: I don't really understand... Nor do I think it's something worth celebrating. Luke: Aw, don't worry about it! My Unit the Ordinary! If you lose the battle... MU: ...Urgh... Katarina: MU!? It can't be... We have the full game script: that means everything's that spoken in dialogue, which includes the base/support conversations.
