Gideon

"Wha... Gideon, listen..." Here it comes. It didn't come. Instead, she kissed him, which was a bit of a surprise. From the lack of confidence behind it, this had to be her first kiss...You're just full of surprises, aren't you? When she broke the kiss, she just laid her head on him again. "I... You changed yourself because you knew it was wrong, so I can't hate you... I like the you you are right now." She wasn't mad. Gideon felt a huge wave of relief wash over him, and he put a hand on her head and began playing with her hair again. Hopefully she didn't mind that - it was something he had a bit of fun doing. "Just... don't go back to that life, okay?" "I haven't in four years, for what it's worth," he quipped, cracking a smile. That answer didn't satisfy him, though; surely he could afford a bit of sincerity. He pressed his lips to her forehead and hugged her tightly, nodding. "I won't," he said softly. It wasn't that fun anyway. He didn't want to lose her just yet, so he figured it was best to tell her what she wanted to hear. It was true, though.

Melanie

"Sorry? I just default to that, didn't really think you'd mind it?" Of course I mind! I'm not some hag! Why is he not getting that? Did he lose an eye too? Wait, maybe he's a pirate! "Anyway, 'girl', the name's Grant." Mel grinned and waved. "Mel," she chirped back. "Grant's a pretty cool name. Very gritty. You must be, like, a mercenary, or a pirate or something." Despite her apparent politeness, she was still thinking about his leg...among other things. If he's a pirate, I should give him a peg leg... "You seem to be in and out of your own little world, so uh... what's going on here, why the interest?" Mel shrugged. "Gives me ideas. I work with metal a lot, y'see." She looked back down at his leg, her face lighting up. "So I figure, like, if I use something light, I can probably build something you can walk on. I mean, that's gotta be better than hobbling on a crutch everywhere, right?"

She knelt back down and looked at the stump, resting her cheek on her hand. "Problem is, though, if it's growing back, I'd have to refit it pretty often. You sure it's growing?" She really just wanted to build him a leg. Maybe even get paid for it. It was a cool idea! If this works, then any smith on this continent will be a surgeon by default. I'm brilliant!

Ormis slipped out of the tent while Adrian and Carrion were having a lovey-dovey moment together. Not that he really minded as long as he wasn't sitting in the rain, but it just made him uncomfortable watching. He really didn't have any supplies on him at all (to the chagrin of... well, everyone), but one of the others might've had something.

He glanced at Danyon's tent. The horseman had called out to him earlier, Ormis was sure of it, but he didn't really hear what was said over the rain ((more accurately, Danyon got ignored)). Pretending not to have noticed at all, he hurried over to Teis's tent.

"Hey, Teis, you got any medicine?"

Teis was dozing off again when Ormis knocked. Wary, he let him in. For once, though, the boy didn't have that mischievous grin on his face. Probably because he was drenched.

"What? Medicine? I think I had some, why?"

"Scarlet's coming down with something and neither her or Adrian have anything."

Teis sighed, bending over and rummaging through his stuff. He... didn't have any. The knight grabbed his blanket and his coat and tossed it at the boy.

"Here, take this to her. I don't have any herbs or the like, but it's better than whatever she has."

Ormis almost dropped the two, since Teis had thrown them right at his face. Grabbing them, he wrapped the blanket around the jacket (making sure to have the waterproof side facing out) and ran back to Scarlet's tent. Ducking in, he handed the bundle to her, visibly trying to repress his shivers.

"There's no medicine, but this should be the next best thing."

Carrion

Laughing weakly and smiling, she sneezed away from him. "You dolt... Alright then, listen up and listen well, I'll be quizzing you later on everything I'm about to tell you, special... 'prizes' are involved if you can relay this back correctly."

Taking a deep breath, she started, "The world is made up of four elements. Fire. Wind. Thunder. Ice. These elements exist in a rock paper scissors circle, if you will. Fire is more effective against wind beings, Wind against Thunder, Thunder against Ice, Ice against Fire. Like you said, everyone has mana in them, to some varying degrees, and some can physically manifest that mana into what we call magic. Now, it's not damning to go against that circle in combat or anything else like that, since no one's perfect, just so you know. Look at me, this cold has me down..." She started coughing a little bit, but after a sniffle, she continued, "Going beyond that, there's four different categories of magic after that, each harder to use than the last. These are Touch, Projection, Manipulation, and then finally Enchantment. These are simple to describe, Touch is simply applying your innate element to an object you touch, be it burning with fire, or freezing with Ice. Projection is simply throwing your mana out at someone or something, much like the fireballs I'd use." Sneezing, she wiped her nose with her blanket, resting against Adrian again, closing her eyes and simply focusing on what she was saying again. "Control is simply moving your mana out and about. This is... similar to Projection, but once you throw out your mana, you can still move it about, shape it and reform it, redirect it, you get the picture. Enchantment is the trickiest one in the book. When one normally touches an object with their element then stops touching, their mana stays with them. Enchantment is making sure that mana stays in the object being touched, becoming almost a separate entity from your mana. The best example I can think of for you to understand is... well... you, Adrian."

Opening her eyes, Ormis was holding out something for her. "Huh? Oh, thanks!" She gladly reached for the blanket and the coat, wrapping herself in both immediately and then curling up with Adrian again, the warmth steadily returning to her body. "Hey, Ormis... For what it's worth... I never hated you or your family, and I'm so sorry..." She didn't know what came over her, but she felt the need to up and apologize to Ormis, despite what kind of reaction he may have at her.

Grant

"A pirate? Ahaha... Naw, I'm a mercenary. Well... I was one. Can't really be a mercenary with one leg. Stupid fucking dragon..." He grumbled for a bit until Mel mentioned making him a new leg, "Wait, what? Can you do that? That'd be awesome, but... with how damn fast this thing is growing back, you'd probably need to make a new one or fix it every day or so. I don't have that kind of time or money, to be honest..." But more to the point, "You're a metal worker? A pretty thing like you? Although, now I can actually see it, and... smell it. Sorry Mel if offend you. Haven't slept in days, been extremely worked up about... something."

Aurelio

"Ah, civilization. Haven't seen this in a while. Are we going to stop here for a bit?"

"It's probably a good idea. We're pretty good on supplies, but your father's right, it couldn't hurt to stock up a little. Who knows? Maybe we'll find something else that takes our liking."

He had "acquired" most of their supplies in Lazarynth, but he didn't think he could get away with it on a regular basis... without getting caught. The innkeeper had paid him daily, thankfully, and there was still a reasonable amount left. Maybe he could pick up something nice for the two of them.

-------------------------------------------------------

Ken

It had been a week and Lady Lucinda had not moved at all. There were a few times he checked she was breathing, just to make sure she wasn't dead. Obelia had been splendid company, he might have gotten a little bored by himself. Grant had disappeared from the inn, Ken hadn't seen him in a while. Slightly unusual, it seemed that he had forgotten his daughter.

Zwool looked away from his rain drop amusements... okay, he was getting bored of that, really. He glanced around the camp again, and noticed Ormis was over at Carrion's tent. With a small grunt he stood up and walked over to it. "Is something wrong?" He asked over the rain, using his gauntlet to light the area a bit. You know, having a light source isn't all that bad...

Amera

A hand ruffled its way through her hair, making her giggle a bit. She wished he was scratching at hers ears instead, but she wasn't going to tell him that. Besides, scratching those would make her melt, and she didn't really want to lose all control of her body, at the moment. "I haven't in four years, for what it's worth" "Well, good. Maybe we can make that last a while longer." The thought of having her ears scratched was now looming in her mind, come on, move those fingers over a little, scratch the ear, scratch it! "I won't" He gave her a small kiss to her forehead and a hug as he said it. "Alright. I'll trust that you won't." She was seriously anticipating some scratching now, just up and saying, "Gideon, please, scratch my ear? It's a bit itchy..." I'm lying, I just want a scratch, it feels so nice when you do... She fidgeted a little, trying to hide how much she wanted this to happen.

Adrian

That... was a long explanation. He didn't know if he could remember all of that, but he was damn well going to try. Being persuaded with a 'prize' from Carrion was extremely motivating. "Alright... I've got most of that. Magic sure sounds like fun. But, uh... there's got to be some side effects to using your mana like that, right? It can't just be all fun and games, I assume it takes a lot out of a person." He hadn't really seen her get extremely tired from using her magic, but maybe she was just more powerful than most? "... The best example I can think of for you to understand is... well... you, Adrian." "Er... y-yeah, I would be, wouldn't I?" This made him a bit embarrassed, for whatever reason. Maybe it's because I still can't quite grasp that I've died once? Don't really know. Ormis quickly came back (Adrian hadn't even noticed that he'd left), and threw a larger blanket at Carrion. Good, she'll be warmer now. She was sneezing a lot, even starting to cough. "Hey, Ormis... For what it's worth... I never hated you or your family, and I'm so sorry..." "Uh..." Don't... know if it was a good idea to bring that up right now.

Ormis

Ormis was on his way out, his back fully turned towards the pair when Scarlet called out to him.

"Hey, Ormis... For what it's worth... I never hated you or your family, and I'm so sorry..."

The boy stopped dead. For a second, his eyes closed and the corners of his lips tightened. Then he flashed a (forced) grin over his shoulder.

"Nah, don't worry about it. Doesn't really bother me all that much anymore. Gimme a rematch once you're at full strength and we're even, alright?"

Then he opened the tent flap and pushed his way out. He passed Zwool, who said something. Ormis didn't respond, quietly walking back to the tree where he had been training earlier. Crouching down underneath it (again), he wrapped his arms around his knees and rested his forehead on them.

He lasted about fifteen seconds before the tears came out.

Lucretia & Adano

"It's probably a good idea. We're pretty good on supplies, but your father's right, it couldn't hurt to stock up a little. Who knows? Maybe we'll find something else that takes our liking."

"We should split up, cover more ground that way," Lucretia replied, "what is it we need anyway?" Lucretia and Adano looked through their supplies. The food was steady, but it wouldn't hurt to get some more. Getting to Lushira wouldn't be easy, and if they ran out of food, it could get dangerous as well. The other supplies were holding out, needless to say if there was something that was useful it would help to get it.

"I've still got my tournament winnings." Lucretia said. "We can use these."

Julius

The group was approaching him faster. He couldn't trip up now. He had one finger close to the whip activation, if he needed it he would use it.

Gideon

After they had kissed, she was fidgeting a lot - Gideon couldn't help but wonder why. "Gideon, please, scratch my ear? It's a bit itchy..." Seriously? He stifled a laugh at her request. "I've been promoted from mule, then?" he taunted as he moved his hand to her ear and began to scratch it gently. It had never bothered him that Amera had cat ears. Maybe his upbringing had painted them as beasts, but Amera wasn't any different from him. She just had a tail and her ears were in different places. Now that he paid attention to it, though, Gideon found them rather cute. Odd, maybe, but cute. And they weren't harsh on his hands - there was a thin layer of fur on the outside of her ears, which was very soft, almost velvety. He busied himself with scratching her ear and closed his eyes again, his head falling to one side and brushing against hers. There hadn't been any thunder in a while, but Gideon could still hear the rain. Outside of its rhythmic pattering and the softness of her ear, though, he wasn't really aware of anything else. That was fine, though.

Melanie

"A pirate? Ahaha... Naw, I'm a mercenary. Well... I was one. Can't really be a mercenary with one leg. Stupid fucking dragon..." Whoa. He fought a dragon? This guy's fucking awesome! I bet he has a big burn mark under his shirt, or a necklace made of dragon teeth! Maybe he stole a dragon's gold! That would be so coooooool - and he would be able to pay me! Jackpot! "Wait, what? Can you do that?" he said, breaking her train of thought. "Course," she replied absently, still examining his leg. "That'd be awesome, but... with how damn fast this thing is growing back, you'd probably need to make a new one or fix it every day or so. I don't have that kind of time or money, to be honest..." Mel shook her head. "Wouldn't take too long," she told him. "Soon as I can figure out how I'd build it, it'd take less'n a day. And you can pay me when you have money." She wasn't too strapped for cash now, so it was okay that he couldn't pay her yet. Still, it would be really cool to handle blood money...

"You're a metal worker? A pretty thing like you?" "Hah!" She laughed out loud at that. "Me, pretty. You're funny, ya know that?" "Although, now I can actually see it, and... smell it. Sorry Mel if offend you. Haven't slept in days, been extremely worked up about... something." "Nah, no worries," she said, waving the supposed affront off. "I get that all the time. To be honest, I kinda like the sooty smell. Could do without the oil, though - kinda makes your eyes water, you know?" When he said he hadn't slept, she stood up and looked at him, folding her arms. "Something?" she asked, her tone distrustful. "The hell does that mean? You can't bloody well be worked up about something what you don't know what it is!" She fumbled with her words a bit, but stood her ground. Maybe he wouldn't catch it.

Amera

She couldn't be any more embarrassed than she was about her fidgeting, but at least Gideon was having fun with it, "I've been promoted from mule, then?" "I wouldn't say that, but I guess for now you haaaaaaaaaave~!" He began to scratch her ear, and her voice shot up high, her body completely relaxing against him. Oh thank Gods he's finally scratching it, oh that feels so nice... She even began to purr, however well her vocal cords could handle that. "Gideon, you've got no idea how nice that feels~ Seriously... even though now you know my weak spot, so that might not be good." Uh oh. Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh... First you tell him where it is, and then you go as far as to even tell him it's your weak spot? Amera... what are you going to do with yourself? She would've made him stop, but it just felt so nice, so she just smiled and went with it. "Maybe I can even get some sleep... now..." She yawned within her words. The thunder had stopped, so it'd be nice to try.

Horatio

"Rain! Why's it always rain?! I hate rain!" He complained, as he trudged his way along towards the capital. "I've gotta walk through this shit jes' to chase a lead which could be a complete lie... an' for fuckin' what? The chance at maybe gettin' a pile of gold for killin' a girl that some knight THINKS is fuckin' evil? Horatio, you let money lead you too far, sometimes..." He was seriously having trouble making up his mind on what to do, though. No one was around him, so he let his thoughts out; made it easier for him to think them over, "alright, so, I haven't been paid yet... means I can take the time to figure out what's goin' on with this chick. An', sorry Grant, she pays me more than five hundred, I'm on her side. Heck, even if he paid my right there, I know how I'm like 'round women... Fuckin' conscience. You make bein' an assassin quite difficult, lemme tell ya... 'Course, if she's really evil an' all that shit, I don't think I'd stop myself." He shivered a little, his coat not meant for this much rain. Jes gotta keep walkin'...

Aurelio

"We should split up, cover more ground that way,"

"Sounds like a plan. Meet up again in a couple of hours? We're pretty good on most stuff, I suppose we should prepare in case the weather gets nasty. It's a long way to the next town, and bad weather is the last thing we want."

He'd travelled the route before, getting caught in torrential rain wasn't something he'd want to experience again.

Danyon

Ignored. Again.

Thinking about the kid trying to hit the tree, he realised he hadn't really shot anything in a long time. Some of the arrows would probably break, but it wasn't as though he was that amazing at archery anyway, nor that poor.

He nocked an arrow, aimed at the same tree, and fired.

Cyrus

"It's a beautiful piece of art, isn't it..." The only person he's talking to is himself, as he touches the blade with his gloved hands, the cold feeling giving him that little... rush.

"Come on, Adonis. Daddy's waiting..."

"I wouldn't say that, but I guess for now you haaaaaaaaaave~!" She squealed as he began to scratch her ear, causing him to grin. It almost sounds like I'm touching her somewhere else...good to know she's so sensitive here. Then she started to purr. Gideon just laughed - he couldn't help it. It was a bit ridiculous... "Gideon, you've got no idea how nice that feels~" He shook his head. "From the sounds you're making, I have a pretty good idea," he shot back, smirking. "Seriously... even though now you know my weak spot, so that might not be good." Is that so? Duly noted. "Maybe I can even get some sleep... now..." When she yawned, so did he, and his hand on her ear slowed down a bit. "Maybe." They could probably afford a bit of a nap.

Carrion

"Oooooh... Why in the fuck did I say that... God dammit, I'm horrible." She honestly felt awful now, if the cold she had didn't make her already feel terrible. "I don't even know why I said that, I just... Dammit." She sniffled a lot now, which wasn't much different than usual, but there were tears accompanying the sniffles now. "Now I can't talk to him even if I want to, I just feel terrible and awkward about it... Why would I ever even bring that up? I'm such a fucked up person..."

Grant

Eyes narrowed and wild looking, he stared right at Melanie, "I know damn well what I'm worked up about, it just doesn't concern you, girl. Quite frankly, I'm not going to say anything else on the matter aside from the fact that it's something extremely personal. I'm giving you one goddamn warning. Don't. Pry." And with that, his eyes lost focus, instead going down to his leg. "Um..." And then it hit him. "You work metal... have you made anything... fireproof before?"

Adrian

"Hey, hey now, you didn't know he'd react like that. You're a witch, not a psychic." He was almost used to trying to cheer her up, at this point. "Maybe it came out because you feel bad about it? I don't know why you said it, but... if he really has forgiven you about it, then you shouldn't feel bad. I mean, the only way you could one hundred percent make it up to him would... be..." He stopped, knowing what he was about to mention, knowing that Carrion probably wouldn't want to hear it. Got to try it, at least. "I guess... when you get your powers back... maybe you could try bringing his parents back? Yeah, I know it's a pretty shitty idea, but that's all I can think of... Sorry, Carrion." He held her close, actually getting upset with himself, not being able to think of anything else to cheer her up with. Once the city opens up, maybe the day will stop being so shitty.

Amera

"From the sounds you're making, I have a pretty good idea" She couldn't stop smiling, he was still scratching, but she still tried to argue that, "sh-shut up~ Just because I'm making all these n-noiiiises...!" Her voice shot up again. okay, that was slightly embarrassing. But it's not like I can stop myself! "... okay, yeah, you probably know how much I'm enjoying this. Please don't stop~" Even though he'd laughed at her purring earlier, she kept doing it, almost involuntarily, whether he laughed or not. She found herself also rubbing her cheek up against him a bit, tail resting on his leg. "Maybe." "Well, I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep if you keep scratching like that... ahhhhh~" She continued to moan her pleasure at getting her ears scratched. She didn't think anything of it. She just thought she was enjoying her treatment. "Really though... d-d'you think we should check on everyone else? Not that I don't mind th-this..." She sort of wanted the scratching to stop now, enjoying it, but getting a bit restless and wanting to see what was going on outside.

Gideon

"sh-shut up~ Just because I'm making all these n-noiiiises...!" Wow, she's a loud one. I can't even begin to imagine how she'd sound if...Gideon shook his head, trying not to think about it. Down, boy. It's been a week. "... okay, yeah, you probably know how much I'm enjoying this. Please don't stop~" Gideon nodded and continued, thoroughly enjoying his ability to torment her. Every time she squirmed, he had to keep from grinning - this was his trump card. "Well, I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep if you keep scratching like that... ahhhhh~" Their tent was lit up a bit more, so Gideon figured the sun had come up. So much for a nap. "Really though... d-d'you think we should check on everyone else? Not that I don't mind th-this..." As much as he didn't want to stop, Amera was probably right. "Well, we can go check on them if you want," he told her, pulling his hand from her ear and fidgeting a bit. "I can't get up with you on top of me," he pointed out as he tried unsuccessfully to sit up. Not that he really wanted to - he was enjoying their time together, and he generally favored not moving to moving. "Your move." His tone was taunting, and he looked right at her, trying his best not to smirk at how funny this situation was.

Melanie

"I know damn well what I'm worked up about, it just doesn't concern you, girl. Quite frankly, I'm not going to say anything else on the matter aside from the fact that it's something extremely personal. I'm giving you one goddamn warning. Don't. Pry." He totally killed someone. Whatever, he'll tell me eventually. As Grant glared at her, Melanie stood her ground, staring right back at him. " 'Scuse me for trying to help," she said defiantly, leaning back against the door. "Keep it to yourself, then." "You work metal... have you made anything... fireproof before?" Mel's defiant frown curled into a smug grin and she arched an eyebrow. "Is that a serious question?" she asked, her grin widening. "You might as well ask me if I've taken a shit. Of course I have." She glanced at his leg again. Maybe the dragon scorched his leg, so now he's paranoid about fire. Whatever, it gives his character depth! "Why do you ask?"

Zwool looked at the swordsman leave with a confused expression... he was crying... he knocked on the front door of the tent, asking again, this time a little louder. "Hey, what's going on!?" he didn't want to come in without asking... but something was definatly up, and his gut didn't like it.

Ormis

THUNK

Ormis started as an arrow hit the tree, right above his head. He was already in a fighting stance, and his sword was halfway out of the sheath by the time he realized it was the horseman. Blinking the water out of his eyes (it was rain, as far as anyone was concerned), he put his sword away and started leaving, calling out, "Hey, watch it. With this rain, someone might think you're an enemy." Once the archer was out of sight, Ormis sighed and began walking away from the group of tents. Not to anywhere in particular. Just... somewhere.

Five minutes later, he was completely, utterly lost. Somehow, he'd managed to lose his bearings after walking in a straight line for 90 seconds. Confused, he turned around a few times, looking for something familiar. Nope, only the walls of the capital.

Thirty seconds later, he was outside of... someone's tent. He couldn't really tell who's it was. Getting closer, though, it looked like... Amera's tent? He could hear something coming from inside there. Was it... purring? The boy was torn between his curiosity and his envy. A few seconds later, though, the former won. He walked up and thwapped the front of the tent.

... Okay, maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.

Carrion

The thought had crossed her mind, but it only made her feel worse. "Adrian, don't make me promise the impossible..." When she said that, she almost wanted that to be true. To be impossible, to not have to worry about bringing her brother back anymore. And yet, at the same time, she felt even worse for thinking of that. As Zwool called in to them, Carrion fell silent, just wanting to shy away from the world and die.

Grant

He looked at her again. "... Hmph. I'm going after... The Crimson Witch. Yes, yes, laugh all you want, 'I'm chasing a fairytale', well you know what, I know who I'm going after, and she ain't no fairytale." Rubbing his face due to exhaustion, "But I'm not asking for you to believe anything I'm saying, I'm asking you to make me some fireproof suit I can wear."

Lucretia/Adano

"Sounds like a plan. Meet up again in a couple of hours? We're pretty good on most stuff, I suppose we should prepare in case the weather gets nasty. It's a long way to the next town, and bad weather is the last thing we want."

Both of them agreed, it would be best to cover as much ground as possible so that way they could purchase as many supplies as possible. Lucretia headed toward the shop with the tents, hoping to get an all-weather one. The shop owner looked like a con man but Lucretia decided to take her chances.

"Do you have anything all-weather?" She asked politely. The man looked at her blankly. She sighed. "Works in any weather?"

"Right! This here tarp is what you need. All-purpose, highly affordable." Lucretia now had the blank stare. He understands all-purpose but not all-weather. Really? She looked at the tarp carefully. It could cover the three tents easily. The material looked promising, although she didn't trust the salesman. Nonetheless she purchased enough for the three, and still had more than enough gold for more supplies. Realizing she was hungry, she decided to look around and see if there were any places she could get a quick meal. It was still early in the morning but she hoped somewhere had some decent food.

Adano, on the other hand, decided to purchase the food for the journey. It was his hope that he'd be able to purchase food that would keep with their diets, and keep them healthy enough to reach their destination. He looked through the produce that was there. For once, he thanked the goddess for his slow movement. It allowed him to see what was around and what looked good with a better eye. He saw some very delicious looking fruits that he chose to purchase, as well as some meats that would be useful.

He paid the shopkeeper and decided to walk around town for a bit, considering he had a decent amount of time left. He hoped he could maybe find anything else that could be of use as well.

Julius

He decided to stop running and hold his ground. One against six yielded poor odds but he hoped someone from the town would hear him and help. He stopped dead in his tracks, activated his whip, and turned around. The six had split up, in the hopes of surrounding him. Once they were close enough, he slashed his whip at the first bandit he could find, successfully cutting at the man's chest. The other five looked on in horror as their comrade fell to the ground. This kid meant business. They didn't want to mess with him. They instead turned around and headed back to camp. Julius sighed. He was safe, for now. Retracting the whip, he headed onward to the town in the hopes of reaching his destination.

Dan

Dammit, that wasn't a good aim.

He ran out into the rain to reclaim his arrow. A little bit chipped, but it was one arrow out of many. Not really part of his concern. Hopefully the rain would end soon, he was getting really pissed off.

Elune/Adonis

They were getting drenched in the rain, and they probably wouldn't find anything. They decided to go to the inn and get some rest, continuing their search in the morning.

The only problem was that they were sharing the same room.

Amera

Gideon stop, Gideon stop, Gideon... oh, he stopped. I'm free from the torture! She let out an exasperated sigh, her body finally letting her move again. She quickly sat up on him again, not wanting to let him get his hands near her ears for a bit. "Well, we can go check on them if you want" "I do want to. I'm getting a bit worried; I saw Carrion out there, but knowing her, she'd be awake and vocally complaining about this weather. I haven't heard a thing, so..." She was sincerely worried about the girl, and would just go check real quick, before coming back to cuddle Gideon. "I can't get up with you on top of me" This made her smirk. Ooohhh, I'm back in control again~ Let's have some fun with this... "Your move." "Oh, my move, is it~? Well, maybe I'll keep us in here for a bit longer, then..." She slowly moved back down to laying on him, running her finger along his chest, up to his lips, and setting it on them. "Shhh~ No talking~" she whispered. Of course, before she could tease him anymore, there was some sort of smacking on their tent. She sighed, sitting back up. "Who is it?"

Adrian

"Adrian, don't make me promise the impossible..." "I won't, sorry. It was a silly thought, I know. Just... it was the first thing that came to mind." He let his head rest on hers, stroking her hair a bit. "Don't trouble yourself over it too much, alright? I mean, if you really need to, then go ahead, but just... don't let it eat at you forever." Not very sound advice, Adrian, but if she wants to mull, let her mull. Just be there to pull her back out of it. "Hey, what's going on!?" And that was Zwool, smacking at their tent. "It's nothing, alright? Trust me, we're fine in here." Bold faced lie, but Carrion just needs some time to relax, not a bunch of people fawning over her, worried. Well, at least I think so. Please just leave for now, Zwool. Please...

Zwool had to stop and think for a moment... there wasn't any denying that nothing was going on... and the fact that Adrian clearly just denied it, meant that really, they just wanted him to go... the thing is... would he listen or not... Will they get mad if I don't or not? Hmm.. He decided to give it one more level of persistence, and if they still denied him... he'd let it go... and judging from the running crying man, and the fact Adrian spoke, something was wrong with Carrion, but what? The trip was happy enough... though the weather was lousy... maybe she caught a cold? He spoke very gently, just loud enough for them to hear. "Hey, is Carrion all right? Catch a cold letting the one guy in or something? I got something for that if that's the case..." He said, trying really hard to not seem like he was barging in, and that he just wanted to help.

Gideon

As soon as he stopped, she sighed heavily and sat right up, much to his confusion - didn't she say she liked it? "I do want to. I'm getting a bit worried; I saw Carrion out there, but knowing her, she'd be awake and vocally complaining about this weather. I haven't heard a thing, so..." Gideon didn't know her as well as Amera did, so he took her word for it. When she smirked, he knew he was in for it; after the ear-scratching, she had to have something in store for him. "Oh, my move, is it~? Well, maybe I'll keep us in here for a bit longer, then..." Crap. She climbed right back onto him and put a finger to his lips. "Shhh~ No talking~" Before he could get too excited, though, he heard a noise outside. Someone was knocking. If it's Ormis, I swear to the fucking gods... "Who is it?" Amera called as Gideon tried to sit up. Somehow, he managed it, but she was still in his lap. Just as it was getting good, too.

Melanie

"... Hmph. I'm going after... The Crimson Witch. Yes, yes, laugh all you want, 'I'm chasing a fairytale', well you know what, I know who I'm going after, and she ain't no fairytale." Melanie's face lit right up. No way. No freaking way. He's a witch hunter?! "But I'm not asking for you to believe anything I'm saying, I'm asking you to make me some fireproof suit I can wear." "Are you kidding?!" she practically screamed, smiling widely. "You're fucking awesome, dude! Witch-hunter-with-no-leg-OF COURSE I'LL MAKE YOU A SUIT!" She glanced at his leg again - she just couldn't get over how cool it was that he had lost it! Maybe a witch stole it... "We will have to do something about that, though," she said, pointing to his leg. "I can make you a replacement, but it'll take some time, especially if you want it to be fireproof too." In her mind she was taking inventory of everything she had stashed in town - quite a bit of steel, iron and bronze, and some lead, too. That should be enough to make durable shiftsteel, but I don't know if that'll hold against fire...well, maybe if I found something to treat it with...ugh, but I need an alchemist for that! "Hey, um, you wouldn't happen to know where I could find an alchemist, would you? It's...kind of important." Who is this Crimson Witch anyway?

Carrion

"Let him in, don't" Sneezing again, "Don't be a dick, he obvio-" "Hey, is Carrion all right? Catch a cold letting the one guy in or something? I got something for that if that's the case..." Startled by his sudden voice, she lazily sat up, "I... Yeah, I've got a cold, gimme, pleeeease..." She gave a look to Adrian, one that hopefully got the point she was making earlier across.

Grant

"Wait I'm cool suddenly...?" And there she was going off on something else, talking about his leg. "No, don't bother. I'm certain it'll grow back. If you can just make the suit for a normal... me... that'd work out." "Hey, um, you wouldn't happen to know where I could find an alchemist, would you? It's...kind of important." "Uh... Not personally, no, but I know that Pravna revels in all things magical like that. Scientific stuff too. You'd probably be right at home there."
