  1. If you don't see the difference, we're only going to end up having this problem again. In case it wasn't clear, I wasn't referring to how you said it in the post I quoted, but more how you said it in your first post.
  2. Sigh... I don't know if this is worth it anymore, but I'm gonna try and throw this out there anyway. It would go a long way if you instead said it more like this: "I myself don't care for gay people in FE, but I wouldn't mind so much if some were included." Do you see the difference here? It gets essentially the same point across while being a much more tolerant way of putting it - a skill you tend to lack. Lastly, homophobia encompasses both fear and dislike/non-acceptance. Some of your remarks in this topic could definitely be seen as homophobic.
  3. If the game is released worldwide within a reasonable time frame of the Japanese release, I can definitely see it happening.
  4. Quintuple posting is awesome. Final total: 68 turns I think I did pretty well for my first Awakening draft. I'm pleased with myself to have gotten under 70 turns. UNIT RECORDS: Robin: 140 Chrom: 39 Frederick: 56 Lissa: 29 Sully: 105 Vaike: 56 Tharja: 86 Anna: 15 Lucina: 14 Kjelle: 62 Owain: 6 Tiki: 20
  5. I just said it's largely the story. I've pointed out that the gameplay gets some criticisms, but I also said it's the highlight for most people, not "widely criticized." And I find the story underrated. If you don't, okay. One thing I've noticed is that fans of RD tend to really like it. That might be part of the reason here, but it could also be due to the Tellius games being good for drafting (bonus exp helping weak characters keep up and RD in particular having a large and varied cast that can change things up).
  6. Radiant Dawn has always gotten plenty of criticism. It's largely the story (which is, of course, still part of the game), but it's there. Drafts and playlogs? What does that have to do with it? All FE games have those. I'm not a fan of the modern-day usage of the terms underrated and overrated, either, but I do think Radiant Dawn (its story, if I must be so specific) is underrated.
  7. The point is that RD gets criticism, plenty enough to be worth being considered underrated. That's what I was saying in my first post that you responded to when this charade started.
  8. What the actual fuck. Where have I defended RD in here? Point me to it, seriously. All I've done is point out that RD gets a lot of criticism. I have made no mention of whether I agree with it or think it's wrong, and I've mentioned this more than once. I can do the same thing for FE games I don't particularly like (mostly because those are actually my own criticisms). Would that mean I'm defending them? The amount of criticism something gets is directly related to whether someone will think it's underrated or not. It's on topic. But if that's all you have to resort to, please just stop responding.
  9. I legitimately don't know what you're seeing. Yeah, some people love RD. Every FE game has its fans. But to say this site "loves it to pieces" is totally not what I've seen in my years here. People always complain about how the story is crap, the balance is crap (this is where the problem with royals comes in), the characterization doesn't exist, part 4 is bloated...it's not been pretty. I never said RD was underrated. I don't care if its system being inherently polarizing is equivalent to underrated or not, I never made an argument like that. Really, are you paying attention to what I'm saying at all?
  10. I've seen so much criticism for RD I've largely given up arguing back, so no, I don't agree with this assessment. Path of Radiance is very well-loved. People acknowledge its balance issues, but you don't actually hear people criticizing it or calling it a bad game or something (which, yes, has happened for RD). And the problem is that the map animations take forever (if there were none, that would be good), but this is only a problem at all for people who play the game a lot, and if they play the game a lot, they probably like it. Wtf? I haven't defended Radiant Dawn at all. I'm explaining the reaction to the game I've seen in my years here and you're calling me "ridiculous?" What the hell?
  11. While RD's gameplay is definitely the highlight of the game for most, saying PoR's gameplay is "reviled" is far from true. And people do take issue with aspects of RD's gameplay, chiefly: -Team swapping. -Under-leveled DB units. -Over-powered Laguz royals. -Part 4 being tedious. But it's not like the topic specified gameplay or story. RD gets a lot of criticism. That much is true, whether it's for the story or the gameplay.
  12. If you're talking about Path of Radiance, maybe. If you think Radiant Dawn is just purely loved, you don't know what you're talking about. RD gets loads of criticism.
  13. Yeah. We know. Please just stop this so we don't risk starting something stupid again. He's only explaining why it's plausible that Splatoon would get amiibo, not why you should be interested in it.
  14. It depends on how you play, really. If you don't mind grinding him up, once he reclasses he'll basically be destruction incarnate. The problem is that he has to get there, and since most people don't want to spend a lot of extra time grinding a weak unit, the payoff just isn't worth it for someone who is overkill.
  15. Your point? It's not as though royals make Ashera easier or quicker than other FE final bosses. Besides, in this case, it isn't just, "Use royals to win." There's still enough going on that you need reasonable knowledge of the chapter to get through it easily.
  16. Please don't just start a topic like this without a response of your own. As for my own answer: fake, inconsistent difficulty tends to be the worst offender.
  17. You're still relying on usually unreliable avoid, especially if the enemies also have breaker skills. Snipers can also have +20 Hit, making Bow Breaker in particular even less useful. And then there's the fact that Bow-wielding enemies can be attacked without counter on player phase anyway. I get that they can be helpful, but when it comes to Lunatic, I'd prefer solid defense and self-healing.
  18. My Rosalina is positioned slightly above and to the side of me such that whenever I look up at her, all I can think is, "I want YOU for Luma army." It's a fun image.
  19. It's a Fire Emblem game. Play it. There's not anything significant you need to know that you won't learn while playing. Hard mode is easier here than in others, but on a first run it can still be quite challenging. Not sure I would suggest it on a first try unless you're really used to hard modes in other FEs.
  20. If you have two bosses listed under the same game, one of them most likely isn't "final." But Ashera.
  21. Being able to just tank hits and self-heal is typically better than relying on dodging and breaker skills in Lunatic. Enemies are diverse enough that I can't consider the breaker skills all that valuable, and Rally Skill is pretty weak. Sure, it can improve chances of things, but unlike any other Rally (minus Luck), it can't help you hit any necessary benchmarks.
  22. I mean, I know it's been said already, but where did anyone suggest that a homosexual pairing would be mandatory? How many pairings throughout the series are mandatory in the first place? Not many. This is why you came off as "I'm not into it, therefore you can't have it." Think a little before you say these things. Is that even worth saying anymore?
  23. I agree, but like it or not, it's the direction Fire Emblem is heading in.
