    I didn't guess though.

I've experienced it myself and i am not glad to have returned to this well of white gold.

People are overattached, the situation remains unchanged even though people change.

The question remains, what do you gain from this thread, when you have clearly changed to become even more attached, Hoshi?

clearly changed wha? have you seen me before...?

anyway i was going to leave sf for a long time ago, but hashuni mei is just comfortable talking here and i dont want to abandon her. we're friends. but other people here are cool too not just her

...an interesting point, but I associate progression with completion, I'm not sure I see how gameplay itself is progressive...and I'm with you on the fighting games, at least those that focus entirely on the fist fights with kicking mixed in. And then you some times hear people talk about "deep" combat systems, which is just fancy speech for more variables for you to sink time on. Oh well; games are still fun, yes?

the feeling is different from person to person. situations change in games to keep them from getting stale normally. with fighting games, the position youre in at the fight is constantly changing and you learn how to react to the different situations, but the scanarios repeat themselves so fast that i cant enjoy these kinds of games for long at all. but im not a competitive type of person really...

Unfortunately, pretty much the right answer. If anything, it would seem people associate "repetitive gameplay" with "boring"...but that observation quickly loses any value it may have when you stop to think about the fact that all gameplay is essentially "repetitive"; after all, I've yet to see a game that changes its gameplay as you progress through the game. That, or I simply don't understand what "gameplay" is in the first place.

its a sense of progression sort of things. yes games keep core gameplay the same but for example i dont like fighting games because i feel like im just beating people up over and over.

Heh, this seems like a certified truth.

You pretty much said what I always think. People love to forget that little facet of gaming, it's all repetitive indeed. Or we're both in the same boat, and missed what gameplay is. My my, a game like that could very well exist... in fact, I'm sure it does, but nothing comes to mind at the moment.

But I feel like I should know one... hmm

youre a bot. youre supposed to do repetitive things <w<
