  1. I've been trying to run the elibian nights and last promise hacks on my my boy emulator, on my kindle, I assumed they were rom files, I am very weak in tech savvy pursuits. Can someone please help?

You need to patch a clean version of the ROM file with the patch, using the appropriate patcher tool (IPS/UPS). Once you've patched a clean version of the ROM, you can just run the patched version with any emulator, tablet or otherwise.

So follow the readme for patches as normal, then just move the patched ROM over to your Kindle.

  2. Got a few new/finished tracks up for anyone that's interested. Aether is my personal fave.

Aether is very cool and SNES Era, mixed with a bit of tranciness. I like it.

Shift is my favorite by far. Hints of Blade Runner meets more modern Hollywood action. Really solid composition.

On Pale to the Dark, your kick drum is really bassy and not at all that punchy. If you're going for a pseudo djentish, almost Meshuggah esque vibe (which I get from the infamous alarm sound guitar chords), you'll want to tighten it up a bit.

  3. Uhh are you trying to say that wit is exclusive to the nobility because that's actually really offensive and disgusting.

Actually, it's not that historically inaccurate. Being able to play with language and be witty is generally the product of two things - Intellect and education, and in a super classist, quasi medieval society, the lower echelon doesn't get a great deal of the latter. That's how you get perceptions of subdivisions within humor, with things like satire and sarcasm being considered on a higher tier than 'lowbrow humor' like say, flatulence jokes.

  4. Unless you happen to need a mounted Bow class (mostly early on before their low caps kick in) that promotes from a good earlygame class...

But yes, lategame they are indeed quite useless.

Truth. They're probably fine sub Lunatic, but most things are. Sad that Bride is possibly the best out of the box viable 'Archer' class. Unless you're Jamke. If you're okay with SpotPass characters, Jamke's innate Galeforce and relatively low level makes him pretty amazing. In fact, if Archers could get Galeforce they'd work so much better in Awakening's giant open field maps...

  5. Hi, I'm Siuloir. I've lurked for quite awhile, and have been using SF as a reference for what feels like ages. I thought I should finally speak up and introduce myself.

I'm a tactical RPG junkie, with Fire Emblem (surprise!) and Shining Force as my favorite series (Also Langrisser!). Ephraim is my favorite Lord, and Lewyn, Stefan, Volug, Cormag, Rath, Haar, Rutger and Owain are a smattering of my favorite cast members.

I play and compose music. I started out as a guitarist, but studied composition and now write a good amount of instrumentals/soundtrack pieces in addition to the rock and metal I was raised on. I've a soft spot for composing in MIDI, and often do it before converting instruments.

I've played tabletop RPGs for most of my life, across dozens of systems, mostly as a GM. I currently run a Pathfinder game and do design work on a skirmish focused tactical game that draws a good amount of influence from Fire Emblem, Ogre Battle, Shining Force and the like.

I work in a high school, and recently the students have begun to figure out that I am the source of the annoying StreetPass teams that keep surfacing on their DSes. ;)

This concludes my somewhat rambly and overly verbose introduction. Nice to meet all of you!
