  1. I only got a chance to play the Demo but overall I enjoyed it. I played the previous ones N64 and GCN already unfortunately due to my budget constraints, I'm probably not gonna get it. Here are my thoughts though: The gameplay is much better than the original or the GCN version. The touch screen controls make changing the camera angles and changing clubs much more intuitive. Not only that, there is a fast forward button that actually works unlike the previous versions where it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. Great improvement so it will make the game more fast paced. I love the manual and auto switch on the fly without having to press A, B to A just for manual controls. My only complaint, Mario and other characters keeps on saying "let's a play" while I'm aiming and taking a shot. Yes Mario I get it lets a play but I need to not aim at this bottomless pit.
  2. Can we please PLEASE stop comparing it to F-Zero? I am a huge F-Zero fan and played the crap out of every single F-Zero game in existence including F-Zero Climax and I feel this is uncalled for. We get it Mario Kart is not as good as F-Zero. Also Metacritics scores are not the best way show off what game is better or not.
  3. because Nintendo One of the features of the 3DS Virtual Console is to allow the user to use sleep mode, save states, streetpassing while playing these VC games. Unfortunately the ambassador 3DS GBA games don't do any of that even though it literally says virtual console on there. The reason why the GBA games don't any of these 3DS features is that it doesn't run on emulators, it runs the GBA games in Nintendo DS/DSi mode with Gameboy Advance Backward Compatibility mode. One would ask well why don't they make it run on emulators then and then we can have all those virtual console experience with save states, street passing? The most likely reason is the game performance is probably not that good as some of us have it believed as. After all you are emulating the hardware. One may argue about the PSP emulating GBA games but that's for another debate. Now you might be thinking well then why don't they just release the VC GBA games like they are currently are for running backward compatibility mode? Well if they did a lot of players won't be happy that they can't streetpass or go in sleep mode while playing these games. I know I certainly didn't when I realized while playing Fire Emblem Sacred Stones and Mario Advance on my 3DS and wondered why my mii plaza was empty. Now some people won't really care about 3DS streetpassing or any of that stuff which is fine but only if you say only care about playing the old games. However if you release it to the majority of the 3DS users, you will have a lot of people whining about why these features aren't available. So in the end, it's better to isolate it to a small group of people rather than have the majority of the players who can't use any of the marketed 3DS features. In the end, the best solution to actually play these titles is to release them like what they are as ambassador games in backward compatibility mode but the tough reality is that the awesome features of the NES and Gameboy VC that can enhance the gaming experience with save states, restoration points and have the ability to play with 3DS features are not there. Nintendo probably wants to release it as a complete experience rather than have a half competed feature product. I personally wouldn't mind letting people have my ambassador games since I don't even play most of them since I already played the majority of them already. Do you want a product that can't even use any of the features that was advertised and have it run 100% perfectly or have the product perform poorly but have the features that are advertised. The best solution of course is to fix the performance of the emulator however that will take time and probably not worth their investment. But honestly, you will have to question Nintendo on this issue.

  6. Captain Toad should be in that crate and he'll give you a green star if you stay beside him.
  7. I've already collected all the green stars, stamps and golden flags but I still haven't beaten Champion's Road and 30 green star challenge. I also have no motivation to complete the play as every single character at least once in every stage to get the full five stars on my file. It's a fun game but since I already played SM3DLand, the appeal didn't last me too long though.
  8. They also appeared in the main cover of the boxart but I still don't think the choir boys should be playable. As a huge Rhythm Heaven fan since the GBA, DS and Wii versions the last thing I think about Rhythm heaven are the choir boys. The most reoccuring character in the Rhythm Heaven series is Karate Joe and the Samurai which have at least one minigame in each game iteration. These two at least represent the Rhythm Heaven series a lot more than the choir boys. Heck Karate Joe even appeared in the Rhythm Heaven Arcade game. I would love to have an Ouendan Elite Beat Agents characters to be playable. This is one will seal the deal for me for guarantee getting Smash bros.
  9. The original gundam. Man all those dead bodies in the first episode.
  10. Now I'll be thinking that Plegia is a bunch of fish tribes who worships a dragon.
  11. Now if only they can actually get the proper merchandising here. So many awesome Japanese Pokemon merchandise exclusive to the Pokemon Center it's ridiculous. I really don't want to use a third party middleman to get the majority of them either. I mean the latest merchandise, Pokemon Red Trainer Nendoroid is Pokemon Center exclusive. Ugh it just makes me mad considering how international the franchise is.
  12. Unfortunately Sonic Lost World is one of the few games that require the gamepad. The Wisp is only activated from the touchscreen but controlling the wisp itself does not require using the gyroscope or the touchscreen since they patched that months ago. They still won't allow you to use the Wii U Pro Controller to play it though. The issue is that it is up to the developers to allow these optional controllers. It's not the fault of the Wii U itself. Luckily the majority of the games I do own which is about 9/10 of them allow you to use the traditional Wii U Pro controllers.
  13. those sites usually take advantage of users that don't normally buy from native Japanese online website. Always go for the ones that have Japanese currency as those are usually the most cheapest options as most of them sell at retail prices.
  14. Except the Wii U already has a traditional controller style, the Wii U Pro Controller or the original Wii classic controller. The thing is there is there are some many control types for the system its a bit cumbersome. For example the Wii U allows you to use: The Gamepad The Wiiremote The Wiiremote + Nunchuk The Wiiremote + Wii Classic Controller (or the Wii Classic Pro Controller) The Wii U Pro Controller That's five controller types. Not to mention the additional gimmicks of the Wii balanced boards and the third party adapters that allow you to plug your gamecube controller into your Wii U system.
  15. the text was so big that it blocked me from actually clicking the hide spoiler button. How Canadian.
  16. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/library/events/140508/04.html It's mentioned here. They'll talk more about it at this E3.

  18. http://bman-64.deviantart.com/art/Fancy-Twilight-and-Pinkie-328527234 requesting a fanart of a funny Mario parody picture.
  19. It's technically not a virtual console title as it's set as a DSi software. It saves into your 3DS internal system memory not your SD card just like the Zelda Four Swords.
  20. the video uploaded is literally in the official Pokemon youtube channel.
