  1. Lunatic - grind to heart's content usually, but have done a run with no reclassing and no outrealms used, just bonus box up to large bullion, barracks boosts and supports etc. Lunatic + - grind to heart's content and gnash my teeth whenever a Risen army appear at a shop I need to buy items from before I get access to the Outrealms. That 3% crit not being actually 3% due to gamble urghhh Yeah I know I'm definitely not the biggest FE buff out there, kudos to everyone who can play like a champ and stomp this game in Lunatic and above :)
  2. On the OP topic: I think Awakening has been done to bits already, with the constant DLC additions and somewhat simple plot. There are not too many substantial plot points we could go on from to make a justifiable sequel (though that won't stop legions of fan fiction being written for some time, which is okay for me). I think FE14 should be a standalone game. But first, they should finish SMT x Fire Emblem game. I would be interested in seeing how those two games would mesh together and whether they would create either a cacophony or a synergy in the end. If I were to suggest how FE14 could be developed... 1. Do away with pair ups completely, or get enemies to pair up themselves and do dual strikes, dual guards, supports to fellow enemy units by standing next to each other etc. 2. Implement feet but I'm personally not too fussed about the lack of feet in FE13. 3. Get rid of ridiculous Lunatic + set of skills that makes you restart over and over again in the Prologue chapter before you even move your units. At least in FE12 Lunatic Reverse, I only restarted to get better levels or when a unit died, which happened fairly often with constant enemy reinforcements and uber strong wyverns obliterating my army. But I much rather prefer that kind of frustration, where I know I made a mistake, rather than a kind of empty frustration directed at the RNG goddess for giving me Vantage+, Hawkeye+ and Luna+ enemies in abundance in the Prologue chapter again. 4. More map variety. I think enough's been said about how dull some of the maps in FE13 were. And more mission variety would be nice too, instead of kill all enemies/boss. 5. Again, like most people said, quality not quantity of supports IS. As for the story settings... might I suggest basing the next game after the crossover in a completely different world? And can we get to play the villain/anti-hero where you are fighting to expand your empire and then stuff happens to everyone which makes you either change your mind or approach? Clearly, as evidenced above, I have no solid game ideas that isn't completely bonkers or original. I was born to be a gamer, not a games developer sadly :( and to be fair, I'd be happy to give IS my money if they would just continue with the FE series, as long as they don't completely screw it up.
  3. Oh my god that youtube link fried my ears to a crisp XD And thanks for the detailed review - I love a bit of strategy in games, even in RPGs, so I think I'll pick it up along with either MGS collection, God of War or Deception IV from Amazon or somewhere after my finals in June. I think they bundle X and X-2 together, yay
  4. Joint first games I've ever played were Diablo 1 and StarCraft 1+ Brood War expansion back in 1999. Those were the good times where I got super scared of The Butcher in the first few levels of the Cathedral, Diablo's menu screen laugh and the soundtrack in general. Playing against my dad and my cousins were always super fun. And when I got a game I could call my own ever, not my cousins' or dad's, but my own - oh boy. Princess Maker 3 ftw!
  5. Here's my two pennies worth: Kingdom Hearts series in general - to be fair, I really like their OSTs, the vast majority of the whole lot. But still it felt a bit too kiddish to me... had I played the series when I was back in primary school like I did with Pokemon, I might have fell in love with KH, who knows. Besides, I nowadays play the occasional 1st and 2nd Gen Pokemon out of nostalgia and dem chiptunes (not counting Twitch Plays Pokemon Yellow - HailHelix- and Google Map Pokedex where I caught all 151 Pokemons, something I haven't managed to do on the original games :( ) More controversially, I don't like Zelda games. Don't taze me yet, hear me out. I tried playing ALTTP but that playthrough fizzled after I entered the Dark World. I also tried playing TP and OoT on the 3DS, but I never got even past the first bosses on both games and sold them. Again, kudos to the OSTs and the game design with all the itty bitty cute puzzles. But I am charmed by the Lufia series (not counting the recent DS remake) a lot more than the Zelda series, which incorporated some of the Zelda mechanics and added a turn based combat mechanics amongst other stuff. Lufia is in fact one of my all time favourites.
  6. Me too, I really liked Radiant Historia and loved the OST... I still play it from time to time even though I beat it so many times already. I'm planning on picking up FF10 HD version on the Vita since I never played it - if you have played it, is it any good? I know that the OST of the HD version is quite different from the original OST (which I am feeling a bit ambivalent about tbh - some tracks sound better, some don't). And yes, here's to hoping for a FF12 HD remaster. It looked phenomenal on the PS2, imagine it on 7th or even 8th gen consoles

    Hey

Hey same here Awakening, then quickly followed by other DS games :) And ooh you must be strong and temperamental with a name like that
  8. No mainly because I'm currently in a country where there are hardly any fat people about. But when I'm back in my usual country, there's an abundance of them. But I prefer tearing apart them fat cells on me rather than other peoples' - too much work and don't care. Ooh do tell and spill the beans~ Thanks guys I'll check it out whenever I'm feeling bored with revision for finals and all
  9. I dislike BioShock Infinite. I don't hate it, but I definitely view it as the worst one of the series. It had a weak plot, dull characters and bland atmosphere/setting (In general, where parallel universes are involved, things don't end well for the readers and the authors in my opinion, unless they are done EXTREMELY well).
  10. ... I should be staying away from myself and most of my friends then. And maybe sign up to a local AA group Thanks for the welcome though
  11. Agree with you. I really enjoyed Bahamut Lagoon (But Yoyo!!! Oh myyyy) and Live A Live had Yoko Shimomura as the composer, so it's one of my top games I've ever played :) Final Fantasy 12 also tops my top FF chart along with 6. I don't know why, but I spent hours and hours into that game. I can think of a few other games that are hated in general but I like - Drakengard 2 for example. I actually quite liked the story and the characters, with the irony and all. And I loved the next game in the series, Nier (yes, I consider it canon and part of the Drakengard series).
  12. I've always been a lurker in the SF forum, eyeballing many threads. In fact, I lurk many forums and disappear into the shadows. It's a bad habit, I know... But this time round, I've decided to make an account and become a little bit more involved, because why the hell not. Thanks for all the info and entertainment you guys have provided me at SF so far and long may it continue! :) Um, that's it I guess? Hahaha I'm not a very interesting bot I mean person.
