  1. My first FE is FE3 on SNES Never finish it at that time but it make me fall in love with fire emblem game. years later, FE4 got release in Japan and my local game magazine really hype about it. So, I'm start keeping my pocket money and then buy FE4 cartridge. I didn't know Japanese but thanks to my local game magazine, I know a basic story and game system. Oh,man and then Chapter 5 happen........................... Well, Let's say, It became my childhood little trauma.(I'm just 11 at that time)
  2. Thanks for quick answer everyone Yup, I didn't plan to go straight to Lunatic mode first time. Maybe a Hard-Classic to know what to do before challenging Lunatic. BEHOLD MY SUICIDE ATTACK AND HUMAN-WAVE TACTIC, BABY!!!
  3. Keep reload a chapter until dodge some hit. Good to know that I didn't need to grinding. I plan to play Lunatic mode like previous FE Lunatic mode.(no grinding, Semi LTC) Well after beat it 1 or 2 times in normal/hard before of course.
  4. I just want to know 1 thing. I plan to buy 3DS just for this game. But is it true that you need to grinding lv and RNG abuse, just to beat Lunatic mode?
  5. If I remember correctly and my info is legit. Awakening is the second best selling FE game in Japan, second only to FE4. And when combine with NA and EU sell, it can be THE best selling FE to date.
  6. I like Shaman as light magic user. And for dark magic user, warlock is sound right to me. So option 1
  7. My playstyle change from game to game, but it's has something in common. I rarely use rescue-drop or warp skip to cut turn, but other than that, I try to clear a chapter as fast as I can. I try to use Jeigan archtype as little as possible, but in some game it's can't be avoid to get acceptable turncount (early chapter in FE9, and acceptable turncount is max BEXP bonus) I try to use characters with different class, and always regret later on (EX. try to use all type of tome in FE10, that's mean use weak character like Ilyana and ever Pelleas) I always use a specific character to land a last blow to kill some boss, depend on story.
  8. Agree with this. IS seem to try many variant Jeigan archetype to reach their original goal "last resolve to past early game", not "best answer to play THE game" they are now. And it's seem they can't find the solution, yet. My though? Maybe make them has negative growth. or just make them leave you army after early game.
  9. I thinks it's a great idea for lunatic mode
  10. About Seliph's personal weapon. Now it's not good enough, ever when use against knight. Seliph's signature weapon should be weapon he inherits from Sigurd ,50 cri Hero Sword Sigurd's Silver Sword. Maybe change it to be a Silver Sword in disguise? (E-rank, silver sword stat, 50 uses, 50 cri, Seliph only, no cavalier/armored effective) You means houses on the cliff? North house is locked but you will get Star Sword and 10,000 gold if visit with Patty. Star Sword is very powerful, 13 Mt, 1-2 range, +2 all stats
  11. Blasphemy!! This poll is about Jagen but don't have THE Jagen to vote!!
  12. You're right I check enemy attack in this hack and they're too high to shrug off cri-attack ever with 25+ Def.(axe has very high damage in this hack) How about keep Luk and HP just normal? just drop spd/res and rise str/def? agree with this, too. In chapter 1, we are too close to too many bandits, maybe scatter them more?
  13. Well, for knight class, I have a stupid weird idea for them.(in fact ,I steal it from some Japanese FE hack). Because they will be getting double no matter what anyway, than why not just make it more extreme? Give them 0 in speed/luk/res base and growth then boots hp/str/def base and growth significantly.(and modifier stat cap, too) I test this once on FE8 with Gilliam and it turn out he is batter than he was.(or maybe FE8's difficulty is just too LOL)
  14. Ha ha !! Siegfried is such a thick headed. Kelik has every right to hate Siegfried. If someone just come out of now where and "kidnap" me, I will add him to my enemy list, too.
  15. A 3rd Gen of FF4, when Seliph turns villian.
  16. Finnish it already. And it's fun to play!! Keep it up the good work, man!! Maybe it is just me, but didn't this hack lack some bow user? All we have is Lester ,until we get Faval in chapter 9 Maybe introduce Tania or Ronan on Lief's gang?
  17. I play to chapter 7 and it's pretty good so far. Challenging but not too difficult, great work.
  18. Wow, I thinks this topic was already dead week ago. But it's turn out fairly active. I create this topic for some info for my FE7-8 rebalance patch (for personal use and train my hack skill anyway, didn't have plan to release it for now). Thanks for the input anyone!
  19. I didn't try to get the lowest turn count. If I have to waste 10 turns to get a unit(ever a useless unit) or to get 1 items, then so be it. Getting all units, collect all items, unlock support convo, unlock boss convo, unlock pair ending etc etc ,is more important than turn count. But waste turn to exp grinding is a no no, it's break the game.
  20. Yup And IMO about Ike, maybe he has many sue traits but he also has many de-sue traits, either. - He has to rely to other a lot just to run a mercenary group. - He has very normal background compare to a real sue or ever other lord in the series (WTF background is a prime sue traits) ,he is not a descendant of great legendary hero, doesn't have any special ability exclusive to him, has a normal family ,live in a normal life etc. - Somethings he is good at(fighting), he has to earn it hard way, through countless battle and countless days of training, not just a normal farmboy to battlemaster in 2 weeks. and many many etc.
  21. no no it's me who should apologize. It's a misunderstanding (I make a typo) when I call counter-argument is weak on that side ,I really mean "that site"(the web site on the link, about counter argument the sue test) not the other side of Ike debate. really sorry man, english is not my first language.
  22. Ike has leadership thrown onto him from a young age, but he nearly gets the company killed [see my post on chapter's 2 and 8 for examples], his rashness and blunt nature also almost get the group not allowed in Bennion if Ike were a mary sue wouldn't they beg him to take over? - Agree at this point, this is not sue. Or bow to him due to his "Greatness" that everyone on the "Ike is a sue lol" argument keeps preaching about? and the Senate doesn't like him OR Sanaki - getting hated by selfish and/or evil persons is common sue trail(and Sanaki is end up liking him) He gets defeated twice by the Black Knight and he learns from both encounters.. I fail to see what makes Ike so DAMN different from the other Lords who get sympathy and have everyone join them the instant they talk to them unless they are vile and foul. -getting spare by villain and come back to kicking his butt in the end is also sue trait, (losing in fair fight to more skill fighter, main villain and/or rival is not de-suifiers, hell this is really in that sue test ) He isn't a noble his parents aren't either, every other FE lord till that point HAD ROYAL CONNECTIONS. Does Ike? No he gets given a title which he tosses away because he HATES It. So why don't we call EVERY single lord a sue? Huh? Tell me I want to hear this - Getting respect by other when you are not noble is more sue than when you are one.(it's make him more special) And being noble is not sue if most of the cast are noble like previous FE game. He becomes INFAMOUS in Daein. When they could have written them loving Ike due to him "saving" them from Ashnard, do they? Hell No. -Loving by ally and be feared by enemy are normal sue trail. single or a few sue traits are not make anyone sue but accumulative of too much traits are. The right among of sue trails can make the story more interesting, like spice to the food, but adding too much can ruin it.
  23. I agree that we shouldn't take the sue test much seriously. But the counter-argument at that side is very weak.(if not lame)
