  4. My favourite map has got to be map 2. It is almost just as easy to dominate non-warping teams (really common these days) compared to map 6. I also enjoy map 4 and 6. Both offer lots of strategic options. I am neutral about map 5. The advantage here falls somewhat to the 2nd player for being closer to the throne, thus put that player in a better position for poke scout. I personally like map 1 the least out of the 5 legit maps. Too small for an epic 5 on 5 battle.
  5. They can not get countered, you have to be in a position where you're not receiving a hit or your target dies in that one blow.
  6. If you're having trouble with DSi, then you should check out these videos I've made: Just follow everything that I did up to the point where I enter the game, or b4 the IS logo shows up. The timing has to be precise. Remember that you need to be as close to 99 % exp as possible. And you are only allowed to attack once before gaining a level up.
  7. Oh wow, thank you so much. You've stumbled upon something incredible with that last time Meteor. In fact I've been searching for it for so long LOL. It gave my Merric + Def too. Yikes!! Oh yea, the first time has a +res of 2%. I accidentally used it on Marth. but I'm not sure how this is gonna be useful though lol. Just interesting, thats all.
  8. You're right! DS Lite menu is accessible by holding start, and all along I was removing/inserting my cart. :o But people have been complaining in the past that clock abuse is not possible with DSi, but in fact it is easier. Less actions = lower margin of error.
  9. Yes. The same times are applicable. But the reason I've said DSi is better mainly bc of the reset button, which requires less actions than the usual: b, b, a + turn ds on. Also, you don't need to remove or insert cart during the entire process. For the DSi, all you need to do is: 1) Enter the correct time. 2) As soon as the confirm window disappear, press reset 3) Enter game Thats it!
  10. Wow, after a few trials, I've decided that clock abuse is even easier with DSi.
  11. one of you switch cards to dazzle, it takes only 5 seconds and it makes the battle a lot more enjoyable.
  12. thats the lowest growth rate your character would need to gain each stats. For the first set, Frey get +6 stats but someone like Cain would get only +5 (minus skl) because his skl growth tops @ 50.
  13. this is a fairly good time if you don't want your units gaining mag 01/01/2000 9:24 [20 ? ? 20 15 40 ? 10] I put luck @ 40 but only because I haven't tried any unit with lower luck.
  14. from my experiences, dynamic growths only help. What screw up the RNG are critical hits and killing units with death quotes ie. important characters.
  15. Only ballistician can use them, I don't get your point. IIRC, that's the strongest forgable weapon. Strongest forgable weapon? Not really, they don't have the power output of a forged brave weapon. Ballisticans can not double anything, get double'd by almost everything, and have 0 close ranged combat. Sages have swarm, though lower accuracy with less damage, but they're still a much better supporting class thanks to warping, healing, and not to mention the strongest one hit damage from 1-2 range. Besides, a sage with supports is just as good as forged Pachyderm.

If you don't know how to use them, that is, since I have never lost with my "ballistician" team, as you pointed out except against one hacker and a team with Palla/Katua as Snipers and Est as a Swordmaster + two Sages with Warp... To be fair, online play isn't really all that competitive. I use a team without forge and still managed to win over 90 % of my matches. Does that indicate no braves = good? Not at all, and no one here doubt your ability to use ballisticians effectively. But if you faced a player of equal skill level your team will be much more inferior than a standard one.
  18. If I make another team, it will include Thieves and Ballisticians. But this team will NOT be competitive, because the reasons are too obvious.
  19. I think the whole clock abuse affair made him quit the game entirely, he was never a fan of RNG abusing to begin with.
  20. no that's a totally different thing. Rules are still the same as what was written on the first post. Everything else is just discussions.

  23. I would not mind playing in either circumstances, with or without forges. So if there are 2 separate tournaments with two separate set of rules, I'll probably join both. Its just that I know many people who likes the idea of having an FE tournament, and they don't readily have a team without forges to compete. And having just one round without forge is kinda pointless when the bigger part of the tournament is played with forges. So lets see how this one goes first b4 we decide on what's to come. The next thing to decide on is the date/time that works for the majority. is it possible to vote for another option? :D next Saturday with forges and brave, this is more readily because most people have a team already. the Saturday after without, this would give people more time to prepare their teams. Also more time for you to come up with rules to make the tourney balanced and fair.

  25. First of all, player 2 should be allowed to attack at anytime. Restriction should only apply to player 1 bc of a certain unfair strategy. In a 16 players tourny, double elimination may take too long. However we could have it in the top 8, which might be more manageable. Or may I suggest a separate tourney for those who lost in the first round. Call it, B-Ranked or something. I would like to suggest making the tournament more consistence, maybe not now but for the future. For example, no restriction on forges for all the rounds or one with restriction through out.
