Wait, this is the max stat version right? Or the 30 stat version? Ced shouldn't have capped speed because of a glitch.
-
Besides the fact that it's a meme, not really actually. You can't win against Garnef, you know.
-
Promote them ASAP. Low growths simply mean that the promo bonuses will be worse, because promo bonuses simply bring stats below the promoted class base to said base, and other stats stay the same.
I recommend merc for all three, archer for Robin and Mage for Cliff. Robin will actually hit because of his skill and Cliff learns nice spells.

I finally got to read the update, and so here's a few comments:
I've never seen Cuan use that battle quote as Ethlin always dies before someone attacks him. He actually GIVES UP the Gae Bolg and becomes unarmed! It's possible to save them, but requires RNG abuse as well as extensive preparation. They die with Phinora though.
For Reptor, I keep him in the desert by a cliff where Reptor can attack him. Once Sigurd enters the trigger zone, Reptor attacks Holsety!Levin. Once he dies, his army dies with him, so I do the thing.
As for units:
Sigurd is unanimously agreed by those who played FE4 to be the best lord in the entire series.
Noish isn't a great fighter even after he promotes with the pursuit ring, but he makes an excellent father unit, which is why people use him. Alec just sucks, period, I'm amazed how much you used him.
Your Ayra isn't as badass as mine
Jamka's skills are actually better for 2 range.
Master Knight is the shit.
Dew sucks in combat even when he is trained, people train him so that he won't die when they want some extra money.
Sylvia's 4 way dancing is really useful, you probably should have given her certain rings. Wait, did you get the knight ring?
Tiltyu isn't so great, even with Wrath, due to having to train her and low mag. She's definitely one of the easier Ests to train though.
Briggid only caps Skill on average, but that hardly matters due to her bases.
Why does Sigurd have so many deaths (relatively)? How does Azel have no deaths?

...I don't get it.

New record! 900 images!
[spoiler=Losing to the mage army]
I hate Jormung so much. Look at that hitrate! Granted he has WTA and Sety's on a road, but still! He had a 50% hit rate even with Holsety! Thankfully, Sety is still a boss and pulls a crit.
Next, Shanan can talk to Serlis.
HAHAHA! What, with that Str screwage? He has 15 strength at some level 24 or something!
True, Shanan isn't gaining much strength either, he can't teach that to Serlis. Lakche needs to teach this guy.
Oh no, please don't, you'll need all the strength you can get for Alvis!
10+ speed=running circles.
Shanan gets +3 HP from this.
Patty is going to see some frontline action this chapter. Having 7 move instead of 6 is pretty significant for some reason.
Rekt. Hel is not that great, as you can see.
Shanan kills a man, and Sety equips Holsety so that he won't be targetted by Fenrir (granted, they probably wouldn't target him without it.
Shanan's kill frees space for Patty to move in and kill the first sleep asshole!
First turn, hopefully I don't die. Notice my huge mistake I made.
These battles happened before I realized I screwed up (Hel is creepy.)
So ya wanna know what caused my turn one reset?
Yep. Frontline dancer. She somehow dodged. Well crap.
My hopes were high when this guy attacked Patty, and then the sniper killed her. *cries*
Take two, do the same thing at first.
But instead, I pulled her THE HEL AWAY FROM THERE. (lolpuns)
Turn one formation. I carefully put Hannibal in range of only one Fenrir mage.
Lol0hit.
I meant for him to counter the sniper, but that guy didn't even attack Johalva!
I dunno why, Patty was really good this chapter despite her wtf -5 speed.
Johalva's sniper went for her.
WAIT, DON'T TELL ME-
FUCK! HE'S IN RANGE OF BOTH!
Mother of...
TAKE THREE, SHANAN BLASTS THE FENRIR MAGE.
Tinny takes out the dude guarding the sleep guy instead.
Same actions pretty much.
Alright Hannibal, show us that you don't suck!
Turn one, Sety is still way ahead of everybody.
Everyone's getting hit! Hannibal got Heled, how is that possible?
(
This was before I realized Hannibal sucked)I SWEAR TO GOD! At least she dodged the sniper.
What, you expect me to tell you Hannibal dodged?
Because he didn't.
TAKE NUMBER FRICKING FOUR.
Nobody will die unless the RNG says fuck you.
Rekt
Okay, Johalva could have died. Y'all have no idea how much I would rage. Also wtf is that dodge animation, does his bow have magical absorbance powers or something?
Bunch of stuff happens. First time the sleep staff actually got to sleep somebody. Patty is actually not too bad for a frontliner considering that she has more defense than speed (seriously, wut?)
Don't mind if you don't.
I think he really meant that statement.
Oh yeah, random pirate who's a timebomb for the villages.
There are a couple more, but that's what Sety is for.
Johalva, you really need that pursuit ring, don't you?
Corple's job for the chapter: spam the hell out of his restore staff. Sety originally had it, but he's off doing solo missions. Plus, he's much better at silencing. Corple's nearly useless, so why not make him do something? He'll do more than Leaf at least.
Thanks for catching up with your strength, Faval! Only three more til the cap!
Dat animation smear doe.
Damn snipers.
Patty loves killing the sleep mages, doesn't she? Also, for some reason she really loves critting, she crits really often. No, this isn't the 80 kill brave sword Serlis has.
I think I have so many images because I screenshotted battle animations.
Oh yeah, Lakche had the Thief ring! I totally remembered that.
It's too bad he loses his OHKO powers later on in the chapter. Hell, he's like one str from OHKOing. Which frame looks cooler, the "about to fire" one or the "arrow in flight" one?
This was fairly long, so I'll leave you here!
Next time: Sety finally does something this chapter.

Yeah, Julia isn't fantastic in the arena. Is that silver swordmaster on ch 8? That guy is pain in the ass for most of my units, not just her. People don't like Tinny because she is somewhat hard to train (I love her, she kills like nobody's business, especially with Elwind.) Kill mechanics work with everything, so you can get a 100 kill Balmung if you're really up to it.
As for Lachesis's NPC's, keep Lach herself away from Evans and you should be fine. Heck, the only person who should be at Evans is Levin to recruit her once they arrive.
-
Julia's bases are the same regardless of how much you trained Deirdre. It's supposed to be "unknown" that she's Deirdre's daughter until endgame but it's obvious that she is.
Julia's defense problem is naught because she can regain the hp through nosferatu, especially with her high mag. Leg ring should probably go on dancer along with knight ring.
You'll regain the rings, as every ring that isn't inherited is dropped by a certain boss in gen 2 (except the pursuit ring I believe.) The same is for weapons (except the defense sword.)
-
Oh, dang that sucks. I'm just curious to know, what bonds do you have right now?
-
Couldn't you have saved an rp by forging the wyrmslayer after selling the whip? You might need a wyrmslayer forge later on.
-
Jesus this chapter is long.

I'M BACK BABY! Here's a little chapter 10 to get us started! Also, expect the frequency of updates to slow down starting now.
[spoiler=No fighting yet]
Julius you've made a great impression on me already.
What.
What what what what what what?
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?
Alvis is...OPPOSED to the Hunger Games?!
Something tells me that Alvis is losing control over his dictatorship.
Past game experience obviously
This is Hilda. According to outside sources and some in game references, she apparently tortured Tiltyu to death. Tiltyu will be more kickass than you ever will!
Aw, c'mon Ishtar, you know THAT I DON'T WANT YOU TO ACCEPT HIM BECAUSE THAT MAKES IT HARDER ON ME! PLEAAASE! PLLLEEEEEAASE!
...Of course nothing works my way.
I don't think that's an appropriate answer to the question.
You probably figured out by now that I love nitpicking. And that's why I stay away from movie theatres.
Gotta find excuses...Blume was too chicken wrt killing Leaf, and Ishtor had to face DA PRINCE OF ISAAC!
But wait! We have KING ARTHUR and HIS SISTER!
When? It makes is sound like she know game mechanics.
You wouldn't dare.
Wait Radawhowhatnow? Why aren't you going in yourself?
There is only one conclusion to this...
ALL FREEGIANS ARE COWARDS!
(Minus Arthur and his family wait crap his family includes Blume and Hilda and Ishtor but he wasn't a coward this is the greatest run-on sentence ever written technically it's not a sentence because no independent clause.)
Pull a Serlis and make a castle out of that village. It's what they did at Tilnanogue!
Heck yeah!
Yay, generic who is on our side!
Dude we've seen a million times before...wait that's both of them. Er, dark mage dude. Thanks for turning the decent fellow against us. Jerk.
Which His Majesty?
GODDAMMIT! NO! YOU BETTER NOT TAKE JULIA YOU LITTLE!
DAMMIT MANFLOY! AGAIN?! WHAT IS IT WITH YOU AND FEMALE SHAMANS! STRIKE HIM JULIA oh wait I disarmed you. Well crap.
STOP! PULLING! A! DEIRDRE! CALL FOR THE RIGHT PERSON FOR HELP! Like...Shanan or Sety or KING ARTHUR or SOMEBODY THAT ISN'T GARBAGE.
FUCK! ONE OF MY BEST UNITS JUST GOES POOF!
I call hax on Hilda's psychic powers.
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNFFFFFFFFFFFLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to enjoy my revenge against you, hehehe .
YOU DAMN WELL BETTER!
Left is Rados and Ridale. Middle is Chronos and the children/Hilda. Right is the dark mage force positioned right outside our castle. GEE, WE JUST LOST OUR BEST MAGIC TANK, HOW CONFRICKINGVENIENT!
As for Ridale...let's just say that Hilda must have failed high school, they're extremely far away, and as long as I rush I will stop them.
Man, this update is short anyways, so let's play a game! It's called "spot any dick moves that IS could play on us!" Well, I guess if all the dark mages had sleep staffs...Or if Hilda remembered to pack her meteor tome...Or if the snipers had secretly major ulir and Ichival...yeah I'm out. Whatever you guys can suggest!
Er, right, keeping magic away from her. Seriously, if Hilda hits, she will HURT. 50 attack will sting, even for Julia! (She'll probably just Nosferatu it back though.) Hilda has 17 AS because lolfire magic. All in all, she's pretty tough, but physical attacks will end her easily (if she doesn't dodge.)
Funfact: Queens get a class charisma skill. Pursuit is personal for her, but if she's doubling somebody...Briggid's children. Them and their "screwed to the ends of the earth" speed.
Ridale's pretty good, and that brave sword doesn't make it any easier for us. Neither does the power ring. He has Oifaye's skills and a decent number of leadership stars. Critical will sting like crazy, and combined with the brave and pursuit attack it will not be an easy battle.
]
Morigan will hit hard, but that's it. He's not as speedy as Hilda, he won't hit as hard, BRIGGID'S CHILDREN WILL DOUBLE HIM. He sucks.
Two dark mages in the DM army have sleep staves, so I will need the restore staff this chapter.
Oh Hel no! Fine, sorry. Hel is not scary, IF (and only if) the only other enemies in the vicinity are Hel users. Hel will bring the target's hp down to one. It's accuracy is not like FE6's eclipse tome (that thing is a sorry joke) but it isn't excellent either. Hel will not kill at all in this game, but others will kill those who have been struck by it.
A few enemies have Fenrir too. They'll want to die, and fast.
Most important, I sell Sety's restore staff and give it to Corple. I really should have gotten Sharlow instead, but that's too late to change now. Point is, Corple can use it without relying on his pitiful magic stat.
Next, Hannibal buys Fee's brave lance. He's the only one who can use it anyways, so I might as well make him good for something, right?
Lana buys the spare Wind tome in storage to use instead of Thunder.
Haven't seen an Arena progress chart in a while, so here is one! Note that I didn't even bother with Leaf and Arthur since they're pretty much obsolete at this point. If you're wondering how in hell Hannibal got so far, don't forget: He has Fuck You Shield on his side .
I'll save, and next time, we begin the conquest of Miletos!
-
If you picked Fiora, does she reject Kent for Sain eventually? You can spoiler it if others don't want it ruined, since I probably won't play this hack.
-
I'd HIGHLY recommend paying attention to the text. In Ch 1, Deirdre tells Sigurd that she can silence Sandima because her magic is higher than his res. That's how it works, status staffs are guaranteed to hit, but you can only target people if the user's magic is higher than the enemy's resistance. That's why they don't bother to target Serlis, and go for everybody else instead. Fee can help take care of them (normal Fee generally has enough resistance with a barrier ring to withstand it). You can also deal with Ishtar by having a 28+ mag Sety with a magic ring silence her.I did hack my 1st gen stats so i could finish it faster (it was my 2nd time playing gen 1. I only finished it once and that was years ago and I really wanted to try gen 2 as my last attempt was a trainwreck. What I did was use some action replay codes to give gen 1 max stats+bonus stats. So the stats of the parents also play a role with the kids?)
So I missed two weapons thats annoying.
For the user who said that about the sleep staff the ai didnt bother to target seliph but instead they chose to target everybody else which was really annoying.
Ill take notes about ring distribution. I Am sure I missed a few. I do wish Altena had a better skill growth, tbh her with the gae bolg was pretty useless for me, foes either dodged or her damage dealt wasnt too great.
I did finish the game, is just that I found the last chapter last segment a curveball.
-
First, only Holyn!Lakche or Scathach can use Balmung, you need major blood to use a holy weapon (so Altenna is the sole user of Gae Bolg.) Next, I'd pay a lot more attention to conversations on the map, as you could have gotten Ichival that way and most likely Holsety as well if you read the text carefully. Not many gen 2 characters have a good res growth besides a child of Claud and Serlis, and yours seem pretty absurd anyways.
I second this theory because of the res values. They seem way too high, especially if you used the pairings in the link given. I know PEMN, but generally my units have got to be really lucky to pass 10 res! (Also wtf 18 magic Leaf.)Maybe there is actually something wrong with the game. Seliph and Finn have both 80 HP here and I think Faval is literally the only player character who can reach that cap. And Finn can impossible have gained 48 HP in 29 levels since he has a HP growth lower then 100%. Is this game modified in some way? Maybe it has some difficulty hack.

Brigid +1

A little late for this, but wouldn't you want to focus on training Guin over Wendy? Because GK gets a specialty in axes, whereas Wendy uses lances. Plus, extra flyers never hurt.
-
Why use the crappy armorslayer when there are 50 kill weapons :D? Though since you probably didn't/don't know, that's the best strat. (Actually wait, the best strat I once again HOLSETY and TYRFING)Indeed. That Skl bonus on Reptor is just too big. I'd like to see someone try to take him out with Tiltyu, though.
For the second line, to face Langbart? Armorslayer on Beowulf, Ayra, or Holyn probably does the job just as well as one of the three holy weapon users, the latter two probably making quicker work due to higher Str caps.

Let's do it!

Is genealogy end chapter always difficult?
in NES and SNES Era
Posted
No I mean even in legit FE4 Levin!Ced shouldn't have capped speed. His base is so high that it wraps back around to the Sage speed base.
