  1. Either get the bonus teams from the Bonus Box (Dadgar from Thracia 776 is great for training up some sword units such as Chrom, Lon'qu and Gregor) or just restart your game. If you do restart, train Avatar a lot in the first couple chapters. After that, select a second unit (probably Sully or Miriel) to start training as well around Chapter 3. Then train Chrom to and marry him to Avatar. This will allow Veteran Lucina and Rightful King Morgan who can effectively break the game. With several first gen units and at least Lucina and Morgan from second gen, you shouldn't have too much trouble.
  2. Overview/reflections on my Lunatic run: Chapters The Prologue was really hard, thanks to the Elthunder/wind Mages. Chapter 1 was easy. 2 was a nightmare, 3 wasn't quite as bad. 4 was difficult. 5 was moderately challenging, 6 was moreso. After that everything until about Chapter 17 was easy (besides training my newer characters). Chapter 20 was pretty easy, and 22 felt like a break as well. I 2-turned 25, probably could have 1-turned but oh well. Endgame was fairly difficult. In terms of the children paralogues I did... Morgan's was semi-difficult. Lauren'ts was hard. Severa's had some ridiculous stats but it's not that hard if you can keep her safe (which I did by spamming Rescue on her) Characters Annilese-Annilese was amazing. She totally carried the team. She was a Hero by about Chapter 9, and she got Dark Knight later on. She murdered everything, especially with the ridiculous combination of Sol, Patience, Lifetaker and Armsthrift she had later on. She was far and away my most reliable character, though I probably could have made some others better. Chrom-Chrom was surprisingly alright. I got him to Great Lord without a problem. He was actually very good around Chapter 12 or 13. He really fell off when the difficulty spiked, but thanks to his solid stats and good skills, he was really helpful against Grima. Miriel-Miriel was pretty good. As a Valkyrie, her tomes and staves were a very good thing (especially since staves are not weapons like they were in Radiant Dawn). She was pretty powerful overall, but I don't think that I brought her full potential out. Cordelia-Cordelia was probably my 2nd best 1st gen character. She was strong, had solid defenses, and was extremely powerful once she learned how to gain speed and got Sol. She is definitely worth it, and I think that, at least in Lunatic, she is better than Sumia, all things considered. Frederick and Kellam-Pair Up units who served their purpose just fine (i.e. Pair Up bonuses, occasional Dual Strike/Guard, producing offspring) Lucina-Extremely powerful. Her stats and skills were ridiculous (she capped everything except for Magic and Resistance). Unfortunately, since I went Lord->Great Lord->Dark Flier with her, she wasn't powerful enough to help much at all against Grima. Morgan-Probably 2nd best character overall. Morgan crushed everything as a Tactician and Grandmaster, and was a ridiculous physical unit as a Great Knight. Unfortunately, this left him open to magic, which due to his not great speed and low resistance made him a vulnerable target. He was very powerful, but I probably could have made a better choice with him. Laurent-Note to self:when making a Sorcerer, make sure the father passes down Armsthrift! Wow that was dumb. Laurent was a Mire-bomber without Armsthrift. He was still powerful. His main downfall was lack of overall experience (besides Mage 10 to Dark Mage 1, he never reclassed) and no-self healing skills. Otherwise he would have been up with Lucina and Morgan. Severa-I probably could have made her powerful, seeing as I passed her both Sol and Luna, but I didn't put in the effort needed. She only reached about Level 8 Bow Knight by the end of the game. However, her stat gains that she did get seemed to be really good, and she proved to be a solid wife for Morgan. Overall: It was a difficult but overall rewarding experience. If you can make it past those first few chapters, you are set. Just make sure to avoid stupid mistakes (which at times, I failed to do) and you will be good to go.
  3. I've finally beaten Lunatic. It took me over two months, but I've done it. Lunatic mode Grima is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Seriously, his/her skill set and stats are so over the top it made me want to cry. My strategy for the chapter was simply to have my Dark Knight Annilese (rocking Sol, Lifetaker, Armsthrift, Patience and Veteran) paired with Chrom (having Dual Strike+, Charm, Aether, Rightful King, and Defender). I parked Annilese in one location to take on the swarm of mooks and healed her with Elixir as necessary. When all the healers were finally dead, I charged Grima with her Brave Sword and Chrom's Exalted Falchion and hoped for the best. I still barely won.
  4. We should do a Hard just like casual draft or most level ups.
  5. That sounds like a pretty good idea unless we just wanted to do a super casual run through. Let us see what he thinks.
  6. Alright, it's time for me to face the dreaded chapter 21. Tips, anyone?
  7. Yeah me neither. I like either keeping the Avatar in Tactician/Grandmaster or banning him/her. Also are we gonna do LTC? I have net done an LTC run so I would prefer not to do LTC, if that is alright.
  8. Yeah I would be perfectly willing to do a Hard draft. Lunatic maybe. No way I am doing Lunatic+ though, I still haven't even unlocked that.
  9. If you are interested, I would be happy to do one. We only need one or two more people.
  10. Is this draft still going? Otherwise I'm tempted to start my own.
  11. I think I'm sitting at about 130 or 140 hours. Probably setting up for 150 by the end of my Lunatic run.
  12. Aran, Nolan, Owain, and Cordelia are the best

  13. 1) In my mind, 10 is the magic number. I think it is a generally agreed on number by most as well. 5 pairs is solid. 2) Chrom is good if you use him, at least sort of. If you get him up high enough (i.e. promoted and with Aether) he can actually be really good around the end of Gangrel arc/beginning of Walhart arc. He usually drops off in usefulness as a combat unit once the children have reached combat readiness levels, but even then he can be a solid support unit, especially with Defender and Dual Strike+. I don't know much about Olivia in Lunatic Mode. She could be okay, but I probably wouldn't use her. Same with Henry, he is just too weak when he joins. You can try using them though. 3) On my low-grind run, I have had enough experience to get pretty much every character I am using to 20/20 and then have them reclass at least once. So, plan to use at least 7-8 Second Seals if you want to use a lot. 4) Rally Skills and healbots are actually something I would highly recommend on Lunatic. Rally Spectrum has saved me lots of pain several times, and I strongly suggest that you have at least one unit pick it up. And, for my own update. I am just about to fight Paralogue 17 and then Chapter 19. My current pairs with classes and skills: (skills to be added are in parentheses, if they are right next to another without a comma, it will replace that skill) Annilese Level 5 Dark Knight Armsthrift, Patience (Lifetaker), Sol, Veteran, Slow Burn Lucina Level 1 Dark Flier Veteran, Dual Strike+, Charm (Galeforce), Aether, Rightful King Morgan Level 4 Great Knight Veteran (Luna?), Rightful King, Sol, Ignis, Rally Spectrum Chrom Level 3 Paladin Charm, Aether, Dual Strike+, Rightful King, (Defender) Miriel Level 13 Valkyrie Magic+2 (Dual Support+), Resistance+2 (Tomefaire), Demoiselle, Rally Resistance, Focus Laurent Level 5 Sorcerer Magic+2 (Tomebreaker), Focus, Rally Resistance, Anathema, Vengeance Cordelia Level 8 Hero Speed+2 (Axebreaker), Relief, Armsthrift, Patience (Lancefaire if I can pull it off, which is doubtful), Sol Severa Level 1 Bow Knight Armsthrift, Patience, Sol, Luna, (Bowbreaker) Anna Level 1 Assassin Locktouch, Movement+1, Lucky 7, Acrobat Libra Level 5 War Cleric Healtouch, Miracle, Rally Luck, (Renewal if he somehow got to level 15) That's pretty much it. I have Chrom-Annilese for my only current married pair that is still in action together, but I will also be marrying Laurent-Lucina and Morgan-Severa. Please feel free to leave advice on anything else you think I could do. Thanks everybody!
  14. Ok I haven't paid much attention to my Lunatic run in quite some time but I am about to go back to it. I am on Chapter 12 and I have two problems. 1) Cordelia, even with 18+6 defense from Frederick, keeps on dying. 2) I'm missing Miriel's offensive power. She is I believe level 12 Troubadour. Should I reclass her back to Mage now or wait until she promotes? My strategy for Ch 12 involves Chrom, Annilese (Female MU), Cordelia, Frederick, Anna, and Cherche. I'm bringing Anna because she is more dodgy than Libra and she can also get a defense boost from Cherche. Basically, I kill the Armors the first turn. Second turn, I move up and to the left, under the impassable terrain. My formation looks like this: XX XX XX CAC Chrom with Annilese, Anna with Cherche, and Cordelia with Frederick from left to right. Tips?
  15. Chapter 2 Lunatic Chapter 3 Lunatic Chapter 8 (Stupid desert filler) Chapter 13 (Only upside is Henry) Chapter 19 Hard, Lunatic Chapter 21 (Sooooooo filler) Chapter 24 (Worst chapter near endgame since...I don't even know. Maybe 4-4 fromRadiant Dawn) Also Paralogue 2 Lunatic Paralogue 3 for retarded villagers Paralogue 7 Paralogue14 for being hard
  16. Frederick, Vaike, Ricken, Tharja, Say'ri, and any of the children who aren't Morgan, Lucina, Avatar's other child, Donnel's child, or a kid of two really powerful units.
  17. Chrom X Sumia Kellam X Miriel Gaius X Cherche Lon'qu X Maribelle Avatar is always with Lissa, Cordelia, or Lucina, I can never decide.
  18. I use Nino every run. She has solid magic and great speed, like Lute. I never use prepromotes, Erk always fails me (seriously, I can't remember the last time he got over about 15 magic) and I always want a magic user of every school. So yeah, not sure why you wouldn't use her.
  19. Is this thing dead? Anyway, I'm here to announce my first hacking project, Fire Emblem Vortex. I don't have any screens yet but hopefully I can within a week or so. Contact me if you have questions.
  20. Best: Endgame on Hard Mode. I married Avatar to Lissa so Morgan and Owain were broken. Owain, as a Dark Knight, was especially so. So on Turn 2, I had Cordelia paired with somebody kill the enemy blocking the path to Grima. Then Owain, who was paired up with his S-Support, Severa, charged in with a regular Arcthunder Tome, unforged. He activated Ignis and got a crit, then critted again. Even with Dragonskin, Grima only survived with 12 HP. Yes, 12. After just one round from Owain. There wasn't even a Dual Strike. Avatar murdered Grima immediately following that. Worst: Not necessarily one moment, but an entire playthrough. It was using Lissa on Hard Mode. Her durability was worse than Sumia's. Not helping was that I made her a War Cleric instead of a Sage. Lissa was responsible for about 65% of my resets that run.
  21. Yeah I have gotten past it now. Just beat Chapter 9 and the current group I am using is: Chrom Level 19 Lord Annilese (Avatar) Level 19 Mercenary Miriel Level 3 Troubadour Lissa Level 1 Sage Frederick Level 6 Great Knight Cordelia Level 12 Pegasus Knight Lissa will be dropped probably around the middle of the Valm arc. Chrom, Annilese and Miriel are all permanent fixtures of the team. Cordelia and Frederick are questionable, probably not.
  22. Working on Lunatic in Awakening. Currently at Chapter 6, kind of unsure on a good strategy...
