  1. Yeah 2-E has caused me some problems before, it's the lack of reliable units. You have Haar, who will more likely than not be soloing the left side, Nephenee and Brom who are good but probably not that good yet, and Mordecai and Lethe who are great when transformed but deadweight when not. Yeah same with me and Aran (obviously). I've never gotten Leonardo past like Level 15 Archer, and that's because he usually gets about 3 or 4 levels of chip/fed kill on 3-6. Although I think Lughnadsh could make him pretty ok. Nolan is pretty much always a staple of my endgame team. His Earth support, when combined with the rest of the Earth and Thunder affinities in the Dawn Brigade is OP. One time, he and Aran with a B support soloed the left side of 4-E-3. Sothe is ok, it's his caps that hold him back. 50 HP. 28 Strength. 26 Defense. 25 Resistance. Plus, his speed growth is pretty awful given his cap. I tend to like him more than most people do, but I still wouldn't bring him to endgame if he wasn't required.
  2. Part 2 is the most boring in my opinion. It's definitely the filler part of the game, especially for people like me who actually like the Dawn Brigade. Although 2-E is really fun.
  3. Two words: experience grind. Honesty if it weren't for the fact that it is right before the endgame and therefore automatically seems boing, it would be kinda fun.
  4. So...how about we discuss chapters now? Anyone want to discuss one?
  5. Yeah I meant worst among the three sentinels sorry. There are plenty of units worse than him. I'm not replying to that second part. XD With some units you can do that. But just because you like say...Astrid a lot, doesn't mean you can use her.
  6. No, Danved is the worst. Even if he has slightly more personality than Aran, he is by far a worse unit overall. And unfortunately, you can't field units based on how much you like them in RD HM.
  7. That's actually a really solid idea. I might do that after my current run (on 3-10)
  8. I'm not exactly sure of the cutoff point but I'm pretty sure the RNG determines it as soon as you load a save from the base. So as long as you reload before the base, I'm pretty sure you can reset the card you get.
  9. Yeah the only time I ever saw Fiona trained was in Fedule's LP on the LP Archive. And even then, he had to grind her. In 1-E, he had Nailah use the Glare Skill on a priest and then just grinded Fiona there. She got to 19 E:90 by the end of 1-E, and she capped everything.
  10. Ok, I understand. It's fine, I'm probably the only one who would try it. Also, with the Forging with Coins, once you load a save, the game is locked to one option, for instance if you start say 1-7 and go to forge an axe and you get the arrow card, if you reload the save, you will keep getting arrow over and over again. But what you can do is load a save from the end of the last chapter, keep forging and record the pattern in which you draw each card. This will allow you to get whichever combo of attributes in in the field. Hope that this can help you in HM, because we all know you need all the help you can get in Radiant Dawn HM.
  11. All this discussion about Fiona and Meg and stuff is making me consider an EM run in which I try to use lots of the bad characters, balanced of course with some power.
  12. I think Fiona is in essence the definition of high amounts of hating yourself risk, high reward.
  13. Honestly, of Meg, Fiona and Lyre, Meg is the easiest to train. Fiona is probably the best overall though, even if they all are pretty bad. Lyre...I have nothing to say about her. She just makes me want to face palm every time I see her
  14. Actually, I wasn't necessarily referring to chokepointing or 'turtling' as you called it, but more to the idea that in the endgame most enemies are not that dangerous, but there are always those several enemies that you really want/need dead this turn, and therefore Reyson's high movement, compounded with Canto and flight, not only makes him better able to enable you to kill that unit, but it also keeps him from being as much as a liability (ignoring the spirits and auras). Leanne is not by any means a bad heron, however I do feel that she cannot perform as well as either of her brothers. Reyson has all Leanne's perks, plus he can Galdr to four people while transformed, while Leanne can only sing to two. Rafiel may be worse than Leanne due to his lack of movement and Canto, but he can always galdr to four people, which Leanne never has the ability to do. Granted, Leanne may make more contributions in certain chapters that she is able to participate in, but in the long run the other herons are better. P.S. Leanne doesn't appear in 3-12.
  15. Lol. So...not necessarily related to gameplay, but lately, I have just really started loving the soundtrack of this game! Anyone else?
  16. Fedule? Yeah, I've read that, it was pretty awesome. Kyza with all that SPD and SKL seems kinda like Nolan to me, except not as good and also a laguz, so...a lot worse.
  17. If you use Aran and Nolan both in the endgame, I will be your best friend ever.
  18. Nope. Although one time I did get Meg to a Marshal on EM. I BEXPed her to level 11 sword general before 4-2 and she got to a level 1 marshal by the end of 4-5. I felt pretty proud of myself, even though it was only EM.
  19. You have to bring Kurthnaga, but I like to train him as well. I bring Tibarn quite a bit, and I've brought Caineghis once or twice, but besides that I don't use them.
  20. Yeah Rafiel has great utility, for sure. But I just feel like in the endgame you don't always need lots of units refreshed nearby, you might just need one farther away. Plus Canto/better movement/flying makes Reyson much less of a liability.
  21. Are you talking about HM or NM and HM? Because on EM, you could pretty much bring lyre to the endgame and only struggle a little bit.
  22. I prefer Reyson. Yeah, he doesn't have the super Vigor but he has better movement and Canto. Leanne is for sure the worst.
  23. The problem with the laguz, IMO, is their lack of balance. First, they have über stats and kill almost anything. Then, they are helpless and pathetic. Honestly, form shift and laguz gems are the only reasons I use laguz at all.
