I don't hate any characters either. A few years ago I did, but, I don't know, age taught me that it's useless to invest energy into hating something.
-
Hm, it's either Chrom or Ike for me because they're both so boring. But Ike has to win this one, because he has two games in which he can annoy me, Chrom just one.
-
Hm, I can't think of any Tellius woman I would call hot, but RD Elincia and Leanne are the prettiest. (PoR Elincia has horrible, horrible taste in dresses. What an ugly orange and that in combination with her green hair. Ugh.)
-
I don't care all that much, but if the map returns, only 8's version, please. While you could walk between levels normaly, when the story called for haste (like that Jehanna chapter), you couldn't dwaddle about and do ten side quests. It hurt Awakening's story immensely that you could do some grinding or stuff before trying to rescue Emmeryn.
-
My favourite is still Eirika's Sieglinde. And Vidofnir though it's not really a "personal" weapon.

No, no and no. I hate missing characters in FE. And if I have to restart a hundred times, I will get this unit. A few cases are alright (like Karel/Harken) because it doesn't feel like you're "losing" a character (for whatever reason) but you just get one or the other. It also helps that for a very long time I didn't know that you could get someone else. I somehow always wound up with the same character.

Yes, gimme dat bearded, long-haired dude!

Too. funny.
Oh god, that is hilarious. 10/10, would play.

There are some interesting ways to go with this. We could go all historical parallel, maybe having people based on Sengoku-era warlords or Western imperialists. There could be commentary on East-West relations, xenophobia, racism, jingoism, all sorts of things. Heck, ya might even be able to get into Japanese Christians (one of the most famous being Hosokawa Gracia, the daughter of Akechi Mitsuhide). Fascinating ways this could go, especially against the backdrop of the series' fantasy setting.
Uh~ That sounds awesome, really. The invading country does so with the reason to forcibly open up the other country for trade and to sneakily take over their resources, but since FE seemingly always needs a supernatural threat, there could be a mage in the invading country's lines who uses the invasion for his gain. Unf, want.

I'm sure we'll still see some Awakening like designs I mean not all their armor designs were off. Like the great knights helms were a type of helm called a Stechhelm (Lit. Frog-Mouth Helm)
Sure, I just want them to throw out the bad one. I mean, Valkyries and Pegasus Knights look good overall (not completely).
And yes, I would much prefer it if there were 3 sides instead of just two. Like a European side and an Arabic side or a English side and a Roman Side. Would add a lot. Then they would do just the same as all those war shooters do to the Middle East or Russia. I think the West/Europe/Everything belonging to that can stand being targeted as well.
Edit: That doesn't mean that the "western side" should be one-dimensional villains. I'd be very happy if they had depth and nuance.
-
It is! It's really refreshing after several games that are more western-orientated. And it looks really great in the trailer. Hopefully that means that they also use this opportunity to design smarter armour.

It was too early in the game for me to really get attached to him.
Same. I was neutral about Greil and didn't like Ike, so that scene did nothing for me. Mist and Titania reacting to Greil's death, though, made me a bit sad. Their reaction was just well written and resonated with me.
-
I voted no on both, though I don't care all that much about the Avatar. It doesn't make a difference to me if it's a badly written character that I can customise or one that I can't. If they're implemented well, fine.
Definitely no to FE13-style waifus. I don't think there's any new, innovative, good way to incorporate a second gen.

I didn't ask for any debates. It also doesn't matter what either of you say,
Welp, there it is again. Since you said you have difficulties sometimes to understand why people are offended by your words, let me explain. This is a very rude way to phrase "I interpret these things differently, but we are all entitled to our own views". And you did participate in the discussion (and therewith encouraging it), so you saying that you don't want debates the moment people express an different opinion than your own makes you seem hypocritical.
-
Welp, that escalated quickly.
Personally, I found Ike to be one of the most boring FE lords. But I'd be down with a 10 years Tellius anniversary. After all, this series gave us Geoffrey, Bastian, Lucia and Elincia. <3

I'm for all kind of world building as long as it's not in form of an infodump. Supports are the right place for that.
I'm not overly fond of demigod stories, but if it's done well, why not.

Fine, I won't say anything more about the insane amount of Lucina art. I'll just stay out of it (for the time being, anyway).
Thank you, this is all I wanted. Let people enjoy what they want (and yes, that means that people should not complain when you enjoy fanart. In fact, if I would know of a fanart that you would like, I would post it, but alas, unfortunately I do not.)
But I can post this; a lovely compilation of different FE 7 and 8 characters

I feel like [anyone] should be allowed to post "Golly gee, I feel like there's a shit ton of artwork for {Character}...I sure am getting tired of it". Ana's not insulting anyone for their opinions on Lucina, and she clearly posted a short disdain for the character and nothing more.
I think Aquakat's response was eloquently built, and Roy's response was requesting justification. Ashtar's response was borderline toxic
Are you genuinely upset that Ana said she doesn't like Lucina art?and L95 I think was supporting Ana's PoV.Nah, I just can't stand it when people whine about the fact that people do not cater to their taste. Long years of loving "barely there" characters taught me little patience with these kind of people.
-
How about you stop complaining and post something else. Don't you think that people who like Lucina might actually be happy to see art of her? Or would you be happy if someone complained almost every time about Ike or Frederick fanart? (And yes, this is a hyperbole, no need to split hairs over the less important part of the sentence)
Also, nobody forces you to look at the Lucina art. You can always just skip it.

For me FE is a handheld game. It just works better with it. I want to do a little battle while driving the bus or other short travels. I don't like being chained to the TV by it. (And was I the only one who felt that scrolling over the battle field was odd and laggy?)

But doesn't a bastard child mean it's illegitimate? That would make Priam's line actually not from Ike after all.
Legitimate and illegitimate are largely terms of law/inheritance. Just the child not being from the official wife doesn't change the fact that it's of the line of the father (in a matriarchal society the child would not be "from the line" because it shares no blood with the wife)
But after 1000 years it doesn't matter anyway. If Ike's line didn't practice incest or cousin marrying, the blood would already be so watered down that Priam would hardly have anything in common with Ike.
Actually, I also don't understand the fascination with Ike's orientation. He's so boring.

Why Marth + Ike?
Why not? (It's the internet. That's how we do things on here. Besides, crack pairings ftw)
-
Radiant Dawn was definitely too long for me. Awakening actually as well, though being bored of it worked against it as well. I like the length of FE 7 or 8 the best. 9 was okay as well.
Quality above quantity definitely applies here as well.

I wouldn't complain, though I would rather see a game from the perspective of Gangrel (or someone else) during the war between Chrom's daddy and Plegia. It could show us a bit of background on Gangrel and the history of the conflict between these two countries. They hinted at a, in my opinion, interesting history in the first arc of Awakening, but didn't do anything with it.
But I'd rather want a new world and continent, honestly.
Who could Ike's wife be?
in GameCube and Wii Era

Cell division happened, obviously.
No, seriously, I think Priam is just a dude with a mental illness. He has delusions and thinks he's the descendant of an hero, who nobody knows how he looked like anymore because he lived centuries ago. He just found a sword he thought that had to be Ragnell because his delusions told him so. And because IS is a troll, he vaguely looks like him and got some lord skills. He's pure fanservice.
Also, this thread turned out the exact way I thought it would turn out. Awesome.
