    Those are only the people who feel safe enough to admit it. There's a huge number of people who are afraid to admit it due to their environment. If you fear that you'll be stabbed or beaten to death because you're gay, you're careful about stuff like this. That said, one or two couples would be enough for me. Maybe one male/male and one female/female pair.

    I don't know about the others, but I think it's bad. There's no reason not to. Why do so many writer not just invent worlds where nobody gives a fuck if a person is gay or straight? Why is that so hard? Why does anyone even care about the sex someone else finds attractive? Gay gamers have as much right to character they can identify with on this level as straight gamers.

    Or, you know, they could've implemented a different system in which there exist adopted children that were taught their skills. It's not like anyone thinks that the biological kids have these skills since birth and just know them. Because, you know, that's stupid. They could have integrated it but chose not to. And that is a problem. Though I have no hope that there would be gay S-supports in any future FE.

    I think Lucina suffers more from the ... more colourful characters around her than bad writing in general. You've got people like Owain, Inigo, Gaius and all those other super-gimmick-y people; compared to them Lucina seems bland (Chrom as well, in a way). If you come from reading a Cynthia/Owain support, the Lucina/Laurent support might look boring. That said, she does have some bad supports. If she's that serious about saving the world, why would she hide a wound and not let it be treated? That applies to ALL that DOZENS of characters where the writers used that cliche. I mean, seriously? How often can you use that fucking cliche in one game? Lucina, Frederick, pretty sure Lon'zu as well. You are fucking soldiers! If you go into battle wounded, you're a liability! You are a danger to your comrades! It makes no sense for you to hide your wound if you're serious about protecting them! /rant end Sorry bout that, but the stupidity got to me.

    Because game designer haven't realised yet how much bullshit these pseudo-choices are? Same reason why I now hate Dragon Age 2. Choices my ass. I was never so angry about "choices". When I first played chapter 9 I was cautiously hoping that Awakening would actually do something with choices so I immediately restarted after watching the cutscene. After seeing that it didn't change anything, I knew what to expect so I didn't give much of a fuck about chapter 21.

    I only consider pairings canon that you cannot change. Like Diadora and Sigurd (as far as I know). So the most canon pairing for me would be Chrom/Maiden, but not really because you can change it. But it's the closest to canon in Awakening for me. (Just because the writers favour one pairing doesn't make it more canon, imo, just the character's first choice, if you know what I mean? Kinda like Colm and Neimi demonstrate how supports work in FE8, but are als the pairing for them that makes the most sense (childhood friends and stuff))

    The only ones I kinda like are Avatar/Panne because he's actually respectful; talking about the genocide on her people isn't easy (looking at you Ricken. Fuck you) For FAvatar, I like Libra or Gregor. The supports are meh, but I just like those two.

    Ugh, Tales of the Abyss. I found that game so boring and the main all characters annoying :X Pls no clones in FE. (That Avatar nonsense was bad enough already)

    I think I would want an arrogant lord. Someone who thinks he's the best of the best and cannot lose. And two or three chapters in, he loses a big battle. Many people die, definitely some of his family and he's forced to flee by his jeigan. The rest of the game would be him growing up, becoming responsible and learning how to be a good leader. And winning back the kingdom from the enemy because this is still Fire Emblem. I don't care much about the design, though a hair colour that hasn't been done yet would be nice (blonde, black, purple, whatever).

    Problem for me is that 1, neither the world nor the charaters would entice me to buy FE14 on Ylisse and 2, I'm not sure I would trust them to do better this time. I hate buying games that I don't like (already happened with FE11 and ugh). A new world completely would probably also be better because they don't have to try to comply with lore from the older games. With Ylisse they pretty much showed that they can't really do that (or it was a blooper, but idk, idk). New everything, pls.

    It's not so much that I dislike the music of older systems in general. My all time favourite video game music are Secret of Mana and Mystic Quest Legend. I think it's just that the loud speaker of the handhelds aren't that good.

    I always feel like an oddball in these kind of threads because I never turn the sound/music on. I find Gameboy music generally sounds bad (quality-wise) and is far more repeptitive than from other consoles. Though that could just be because the music doesn't make itself so noticable with bad quality. I rather watch youtube videos or listen to podcasts while playing, oops.

    Nooooooo, epic fail on my part. But I might look into FF7 ... Uhm, on topic? I don't feel like Ylisse would be a good place to have another story The countries just have no real profile. For all we know they have little cultural differences. Similar to Magvel (even though I love that game the most). And I'm tired of remakes.

    No, Ylisse is pretty boring in contrast to other worlds. I want something completely new (and without this stupid timetravel). New world, new characters.

    Definitely Sully. I like short hair on women. Second place are Panne and Sumia. Their designs are just perfect.
