  1. I'll have to say FE4/5 because the skills are a part of what makes each character unique. Sure, it's completelly unbalanced, but it's that very same lack of balance that makes FE4 as fun as it is.
  2. Played all of them except the first one, the second half of Gaiden, the third one and Path of Radiance (I don't own a Gamecube/Wii).
  3. Absolutely everyone except Donnel and a few guest avatars. I do temporarily reclass to get skill, though.
  4. Because of pair up, you have less units to shield your dancer with, and, in easy/hard mode, if she's paired up with someone, you'll probably want to attack instead of dance most of the time. In other difficulties or the postgame I can see them being useful, though.
  5. I'm pretty sure Ke'ri was from Ferox: in Cherche's support with Lon'qu, she mentions that she met Ke'ri's parents in Ferox.
  6. So I've heard a lot of people say that Lon'qu is from Chon'sin, but I've never found any source or proof of this in the game. Does anybody know where this statement comes from? Is it canon or just a rumor created because of his name?
  7. Clerics, Dancers and any support class, really. I like them in other games, but they just suck in this one: Pair Up drains all the usefulness out of them.
  8. I think the marriage system will return. That being said, I sure hope it doesn't: the GBA-style special endings are still the best way pairings have been handled.
  9. If you enjoy doing it, then there's no problem with it: it is only an issue if it breaks the game for you.
  10. FE2:Alm, I guess... FE4 Gen 1:Can't choose between Sigurd, Lex, Ayra and Levin/Lewyn FE4 Gen 2:Lakche or Arthur FE5:Ronam FE6:Gonzales or Clarine FE7:Lyn FE8:Ephraim FE9/10:Ike, Tibarn or Volke FE11/12:Wolf or Feena FE13:Virion
  11. There are too many good characters to choose from, but the first ones that come to mind are Gonzales, Clarine, Lyn, Karel, Sain, Ephraim, Joshua and Wallace.
  12. Characterwise: Elphin>Lalum>Tethys>Ninian>Nils Gameplaywise: All suck
  13. Characterwise: Lyn>Ephraim>Hector>Eliwood>Eirika>Roy Gameplaywise: Ephraim>Hector>Lyn>Eliwood>Eirika>Roy
  14. This is what I would want to see: -No Second Seals/reclass -No child units -NO PAIR UP!!! -Awakening style World Map and DLC -Awakening style Skill System -Awakening style Supports better distributed among units (no unit would have only one support like in Awakening) -Branching promotions and Third Tier Classes, creating "class trees" -Multiple Magic types -A better story -Better map design -Feet -Classic and casual modes along with many difficulty options
  15. Level 20, no question about it. FE2 and FE13 are exceptions, though.
  16. You should read their supports, just sayin'.
  17. The only time I accessed chapter 24x was in my first playthrough of the game, I was playing it blind and forbid myself from warpskipping any chapter. Because of that, chapter 24x was my most frustrating video game experience period. Its been a while since then, so I guess my memory of the chapter was kinda blown out of proportion, thus, I will concede defeat in this argument.
  18. Fair enough, though those chapters aren't as bad (in my opinion) in Elite mode. In my defence, having to know where the all warp tiles are is kinda dumb: you should be able to beat a chapter with just the information you're provided.
  19. What chapter would you say is more frustrating? I said that because every other frustrating chapter I can think of is only hard/frustrating in certain difficulties.
  20. FE5's Chapter 24x is the single most frustrating chapter in the series and anyone who doesn't say so clearly hasn't played it. There is no easier difficulty to play it in and no matter how much you prepare for it, it's completelly unfair. And don't even dare to bring physical units into this chapter, you'll live to regret it.
  21. -I've only ever beaten FE11 on normal mode. -I don't see any problem with arena abusing, boss abusing, tower abusing, etc. -I don't think I've ever beaten Hector Mode. -I don't care about LTC and consistency. -I usually play in casual mode and/or abuse savestates and battle saves -I've been mentelly scarred by FE5 -I consider Marth to be one of the worst units in FE11 -I usually hoard all my resources, resulting in a full set of untouched legendary weapons and stap booster in the endgame, after I played through the whole game using only iron weapons -I always train up the trainees in FE8 -I hate FE5 and think it ruined the Jugdral series That's all I can think of for now.
  22. Hello, fellow Fire Emblem enthusiasts! My name is AsukaDrag, I've been a lurker on these foruns for quite some time now, so I decided to finally join it today. I apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes I make: English is not my first language, you see. Anyway, onto the Fire Emblem stuff: Like most people, my first contact with the Fire Emblem series was through Smash Bros, though I did not play any of the games until I many fortunate coincidences led me into buying FE11 (Shadow Dragon). My first outing with the game wasn't as disastrous as most people's: I managed to get half way through the game without losing a unit, but my resourses were running low and my team was just terrible, so I turned to the Internet for advice. I started a new file following some guy on gamefaqs' advice and it payed off: my experience with the game was so good I expanded to the rest of the series, however, an unfortunate side effect of this is my undieing irational fear of prepromotes. Its been at least 3 years since and now FE11 has ironically become one of my least favorite games in the franchise. I've played every game in the franchise except FE1, 3 and 9. I've also stil not played FE2 the whole way through. My favorite game is FE4, with FE7 and FE8 following closelly. On the other hand, my least favorite is FE5. I usually play through the games at my own pace with the strongest endgame team as a goal, though I only use units I enjoy as characters. I don't know how active I'll be here, this is the first forum I've ever joined, after all, but I'm still excited to join. Anyway, long story short: Hi!
