  1. Yeah, that warrior-wyvern part seemed iffy to me, but I thought the idea behind it was cool. It's a double-twist on the bait-n-switch that's so infamous, but it does cut it pretty close to have random enemy stats.

    (I say these things but I actually don't know if FEGBA allows fixing enemy stats, though it really feels like it should, especially since you can event a unique enemy character with high bases to be each of those units and set their level to type 1)

    All that said though, so far it indeed looks like a nice project in its own right, and a good place to learn things to make use of in the future (as I'm fairly sure all the submitters found). I think the best part about Ragefest is how it encourages people to get out there and make things, so in a way, that's the best result you can ask for.

    I do have some sort of theory on how to fix enemy stats. Basically, you set an enemy's growths (both class and individual) to a set multiple of 100, or 0, and just autolevel that way. Since they're guaranteed to go up that amount each level, or not at all, there is no variation for error. You can have 2 variations for some classes, such as Cavalier, General, as they have the F variant(female). Of course, if you want multiple enemies with the same class to have different stats, then wierdness comes in.

  2. This game has flying ballistas?!

    FLYING?! BALLISTAS?! Pegasus Knights be damned!

    I predict a chapter will center around this unit at one point. Do you take flyers and run the risk of taking heavy damage but be able to take them down easier? Or do you take the safe route of using ground units, but taking damage as you struggle to hit them?

  3. I don't really mind (life is hitting me hard right now with college applications so little time to do things). Again, take as much time as you need, we would rather prefer something high quality later than a rough, rushed out product now. (that and we're used to waiting at this point)

    I can only really work on hacks for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half if I have no homework each weekday so dev progress might be slow. Just letting you know ahead of time.

  5. Seeing as I have a lot of extra time on my hands, and I'm itching to do some more FE hacking, I've decided to start this up.

    Now, before you go "OMG I DON'T WANT TO READ ALL OF THIS", you can read this instead to get the gist of it!

    tl;dr

    I can do FE hacking for you if the hack in question is less than 3 chapters and in FE7.

    If you wanted to make a FE hack, but couldn't, due to lack of time, or inability to learn how to, I'm here to do it for you, all for free! (plus I need something to do in CS class when I finish the week's work in 1 day)

    HOWEVER, there are rules.

    1. The hacks must be short (1-2 chapters, maybe 3 if each chapter is short), that and everybody can get a chance.

    2. They don't necessarily have to be story-driven, they might revolve around some fun/specific mechanic, a la Ragefest.

    3. I can't make mugs or animations for the life of me, any that aren't in the game already must be provided(or linked to).

    4. Nothing incredibly advanced that requires epic ASM skills (such as custom skills for units)

    5. No FE8 hacks (I've tried once and I failed miserably, not touching it again)

    6. 1 hack per person (so everybody gets a fair chance)

    7. Ideas need to have some detail, nothing like "make me an awesome hack", give me details like if you want the story, what it is, perhaps a script if you have one, character info, classes, weapons, etc.

    Nondetailed posts will be rejected, or deferred until detail is given.​

    If you are going to send me an idea, here are the things I need:

    Characters, their names, classes (and what kinds weapons they use if you are changing weapon usage), (and if possible, stats and growth rates, levels, and weapon changes).

    A script (if you want a story in there).

    General map design (specific = better)

    Enemies, and their weapons (if possible, levels and stats as well).

    Any weapons you want to add in, (and if possible, stats).

    Any special events you want to happen (how will it work, what will happen).

    Optional:

    Mugs, animations, map sprites, weapon icons. (if you want to put those in)

    Things I cannot do:

    Any game that isn't FE7. (I can do reskins of FE8, but that's the only exception)

    Doing all the creative process for you. This is not a make FE hack with zero work button. ok it kind of is but you need to come up with things first, I can't do ALL the work.

  6. From the looks of it, seems like the story will be roughly the same, just dialog and character changes. Also do note that it doesn't seem that english is the OP's first language. Also, just letting you know OP, you'll need a download link if you're posting in this section of the forums. If it's still incomplete, you'll want to post this in the Concepts section.

  7. The Lucky tome is the only element I can't figure out whether it had any use or not. It seemed to be able to deal exact OHKO damage to Moneyman's final form, which is kinda suspicios when you start with max level and so all your stats are known to the romhacker, but nothing told you it wouldn't backfire.

    As the name suggests, its for when you feel lucky, and you feel the hack is luck-based, you have a VERY luck-based way to win.

  8. Of course they can win in a fight with adult males! Don't you know the true power of (bees/wasps)? It's a mass of hundreds of flying venomous (honey gatherers/predators)! If this game would be more realistic, A) That number of bees wouldn't be present in a populated area, and B) Disregarding point A, everyone would be dead. Super dead. Stung to death like dead dead dead. You think you can fight bees with swords and axes? WRONG! It just goes through the swarm, maybe you knock out a few, but now you've pissed them off! And you die!

    (Bees/wasps) are dangerous man.

    Don't underestimate them.

    Instead....KILL THEM WITH FIRE! Or lightning! Any magic will do! They might be able to dodge swords and axes, but they can't dodge a wall of fire! Or lightning going at 5000 mph!
