  1. Skill build for Berserker Robin supporting a Sniper Lucina? LB, Axefaire, Agg, Hit +20, ??? I was thinking Lancebreaker, All+2, or Anathema on that last spot? If it doesn't matter I could probably just put AT for convenience.
  2. They never appear in a clump right? It's just the NS, Anna, and NS2.0. Unless I'm missing something I think I can just longbow the whole map if I have 1 Sniper with 75 spd.
  3. Maybe it's easier if I just showed a SS. It turns out going +str -res came to bite me in the ass. Sniper Morgan and Zerk Inigo come out with 74 spd due to -res giving her -1spd. If I swap Inigo to Assassin and drop either Luna or faire for All+2, Morgan can lead with 75 spd and Inigo can 100%DS lead, but I'll lose out on the Zerk's high str cap. I could give Assassin Inigo Virion or Lonqu to guarantee they both lead with 75, but I don't know if that's necessary. Lonqu would give the pair 100% DS all around in exchange for Luna and +hit. Virion retains +hit and gains +2skill. Both would lower Inigo's lead phase damage, but I can limit his targets to low profile enemies to mitigate the loss.
  4. Am I missing something? I see where all the numbers come from except the pair up. From that link with the pair up calculations, the only way to receive a +3 spd is to pair up with a non-spd pair up. Before I finish this spreadsheet can someone double check this: Sumia!Lucina(Sniper) spd: 40(Sniper base) +5(Sumia mods) +10(LB) +10(Rally) +8(S Support+Berserker pair-up) +2(tonic) = 75 Spd
  5. What do you guys use to plan out your DS%, speed, and attack values? I'm surprised nobody threw together an excel sheet or google doc. In a smaller Apotheosis squad, would one want to prioritize 100% DS over raw damage? Specifically, its for a +str Lucina!Morgan(Sniper) & Fred!Inigo. I think I can hit 100% DS if I make Inigo an assassin, but he can also pull off the +hit berserker.
  6. Cleared lunatic. Adjusting to lunatic from hard was absolutely brutal up through CH5. Chapter 2 in particular took quite a while to piece together. I had to really utilize the pair up system and turtle hard because without grinding, most units just get decimated if attacked more than once. I don't think I had issues until the lava stage onwards. Fliers caused all sorts of problems when trying to keep a thief alive. Also, WTF GRIMA? I had to cheese him with dance and rescue to kill him before I got completely surrounded. I could've sworn he was a sad joke on normal/hard mode. Same thing with the Aversa map full of Mire and forged weapons all over the place.
  7. Kjelle because she has that square, older sister vibe that would oppose Morgan's carefree nature. Severa would also bring an interesting dynamic between the 2. I'm imagining the pair up dialog between the 2 pairs in an anime/cutscene and I feel like it would be hilarious and or epic.
  8. Sniper Severa. Who should be the daddy? Stahl!Severa = Astra, Luna, LB, GF, Faire vs. Virion!Severa = Deliverer?, Vengeance, LB, GF, Faire She has her choice of (Laurent, Gerome, Yarne) for a partner.
  9. What? I was stuck on CH2 for a while, but the chapters have been a little easier since then. Except for CH5. The damn Wyverns. I just shuffled pair ups/items while holding the choke once you clear the bottom half. I went +str/-res if it matters. Remove your weapon if getting attacked twice will kill your tank(when your EP kills the enemy in front of you).
  10. I never thought of that. Actually I was using the royal family girls, so I was going to proc-stack Aether/Luna on Cynthia, Lucina, and Morgan. I could leave Chrom's pair for Virion!Severa with Stahl!Inigo though. That would give me another sniper with a berserker sporting hit rate +20.
  11. Honestly, in my full-powered, generic run full of DF/Sage combos, I didn't even use Valflames/Shocksticks on my Staff bots. It seems like such overkill because the range of even -mag spotpass characters with capped mag and limit breaker is still really far. You'd have to try to push out of the range. I think I'm going to run 3 female snipers, 2 paired with sages and 1 with MU berserker. Chrom can be the male sniper with Sumia as a sage or dark flier. I think being unmounted is ok with twice as many staff bots as pairs.
  12. I was thinking 3 double Gale pairs and Chrom/Sumia. I'm not sure what 5 apt stands for, but I'm guessing attacking player turns? 20-6(3 gale pairs)-2(Chrom+Sumia)-2(rally bots) = 10 staff bots or Olivia+9 staff bots. That would give me 11 "apt" not counting Olivia. That leaves me enough room with staff bots to rescue 4 pairs forward and back as long as I wipe the targets or keep the staff bots out of retaliation range. Also, as long as dual strike procs I was able to longbow down NS's mooks with Stahl!Severa and the sage-lead of a DF&Sage pair. I'd be willing to bet an aether proc from a Chrom descendent would drop NS with a longbow. I should probably run some calcs just in case, but it sounds like I'll have plenty of wiggle room.
  13. That's what I was getting at. A lot of people have Sniper pairs with 100% DS or a Sage support. Using them to chip with no consequence. It's easy to single him out and re-evaluate your approach. 1. On another note, how small can a team be to effectively do apotheosis without a VV sweeper? I'm thinking of eventually turning my Lunatic run into a Sniper-lead apotheosis team. Chrom, Sumia!Lucina, Chrom!Cynthia, and Lucina!Morgan. I guess Virion!/Stahl!Severa, and Gaius!/Donnel!Noire could be added if 4 pairs is too greedy.
  14. I never really felt like any of the FE games I've played(the US localized ones) have ever had very compelling stories. The lords are generic, but the straight-forward good vs evil ruler is still satisfactory. The things that really bugged me were: Missions: What happened to the survive for x turns, win in x turns, take the throne, rescue villagers, or ANYTHING else? Pair-ups: Pair-ups are an interesting new feature and I think it brings a fresh feel to FE. My only problem is that enemies don't do it as well! Instead of giving enemies absurdly high stats, why not just let them pair up? (I'd probably cry if thronie could proc a dual guard) This would force players to reconsider their pair-ups. The threat of a sniper support against your dark flier lead. Fog of War: What happened to night battles? No high ground vs low ground, no torch or sight advantage for flying units on... you know MOUNTAINS? Seeing the movements of the entire enemy force is a little silly. Canto: Maybe it was OP, but I kept messing this up in my first playthrough. I kept expecting Sully and Stahl to be able to move after attacking. I miss being able to chip at chokepoints with mounted units. Rescue: This staff needs a nerf or removal. Combined with Galeforce and a dancer, you can do some silly things. At least it wasn't as game-breaking as warp staff though. Pay2Win: DLC usage in game is flat-out overpowered. The need to be regulated in some way to prevent grinding and winning through raw strength. Logbook/Spotpass: Little to no thought was given to how badly this can faceroll story mode. Access to exotic weapons and capped characters from Chapter 4 onwards? I understand that you can self-impose no-grind or limit DLC skills on your playthroughs, but it takes away from the accomplishments. They need to implement a mode restricting many of the unbalanced features, because the features themselves have many fun Easter eggs for veteran FE fans, but they're simply too strong for players looking for the challenge. Casual mode should let players that don't want a difficult experience abuse these features, but not on Lunatic.
  15. I did apotheosis without any 75 speed characters. Unless you're doing some sort of challenge run, you'll be fine if you have a Sniper.
