  1. And I still don't get where people are getting this idea. I don't see anything indicating it.

I also don't see why they wouldn't expand/improve the motion controls Skyward Sword had. And I'll never understand why people hated it. I loved it and will be disappointed if it's not at least an option in Zelda Wii U.

Well to be fair the Windwaker HD did use the gamepad to great effect so if Nintendo wants to make it their primary way of control I wouldn't be suprised. As far as the skyward sword controls I thought they worked just fine more than fine they were what I wanted in TP for Wii.

  2. Here's an idea. For Lunatic+ instead of adding a random lunatic skill make it so that enemy units can pair up. Or you could have both if you're the masochistic type. I can see the pair up for enemy units being tough to program for though. How do you define which units pair up and what bonuses they receive?

  3. Open world exploration akin to windwaker but on land. Carry over the item upgrade system from skyward sword perhaps add a level up or RPG type system to give incentive to fight enemies. Make dungeons playable in any order like in ALBTW even if they are more difficult.

One thing I hope remains constant (and i'm sure it will) is the OST. I also hope the story holds up Skyward Sword's story was great and they way Nintendo made an orgins story for the Zelda universe was just awesome.

  4. I'll rate the ones I've played

FE 11 (Shadow Dragon on DS): 2/5 Not a bad game but as far as Fire Emblems go probably the weakest. Lacks supports and many of the features in the GBA games although learning where Marth came from was really cool.

FE 10 (Radiant Dawn): 5/5 Hands down my favorite FE game. Yeah there's a lot of characters you won't use them all but the story is told from different angles and really captures the world of Tellius. Epic Endgame and best boss in the series. Difficulty can be very punishing but addition of battle save and BEXP is a godsend Also we like Ike.

FE 7 (Blazing Sword): 3/5 I enjoyed this one and was my first ever FE title. That being said I also thought this one was the most difficult for me probably because it was my first and I played it when I was particulary young. I really like the characters in this one. First ones that come to mind are Hector, Lyn, Jaffar, and Matthew.

FE 13 (Awakening): 4/5 My second favorite FE. The characters are awesome and each has their own compelling personalities. I for one think the story is ok not bad but not FE's best either. Having your own character customized how you see fit is a big plus for me. Option to play with or without permadeath so it can appeal to anyone. Addition of DLC gives alot of replayability. Presentation and OST is the best in the series.

Haven't played sacred stones or path of radiance but from the looks of it I'd probably really like PoR alot.

  5. One thing wouldn't be enough, everything should be changed.

But if I had to chose, I think I'd go for the chara-design. Having characters that look like they come from a fire emblem (I'd go with FE3/4/5's tcg style) wouldn't be a bad thing. No more toilet bowl as armor or Maribelle's haircut

I thought most of the character designs were fine but if anything needs to change add some feet lol. Also I prefere the knight and general classes from past FE games and I feel like the hero class looked fine with just the regular sword and shield in FE7. But hey the tactician and grandmaster classes look awesome some of my favorites in the series as far as appearance goes.

Given how the character development works in the supports we do have, I'm not sure they'd make much of a difference. Every support in the game features the exact same traits the characters display in all their other convos, so if there were unique father supports they wouldn't tell us anything we don't already know.

They'd be nice, but they wouldn't do anything to enhance the characters.

Maybe not but anything that makes me want to replay the game again is good in my book.

  6. Wow alot of people have brought up some good points. I for one think one way to affect the story is make the avatar choices actually matter maybe even have bad endings if certain conditions are met. Unique father son conversations could also add alot depending on their personalities and quirks I feel like that was a particulary missed opportunity but I suppose if you did that then some people would get their panties in a bunch about OTPs and such and then you have thermonuclear waifu war.

  7. This isn't a threat for people to harp on about how much they hate awakening, please stop hijacking it for this purpose.

Personally? I'd pick making male characters have children like the female ones. A lot of male characters would've made interesting non-generic parents, in particular Donnel, Kellam, Vaike and Gaius.

I can agree with that I can imagine Lon'qu and Inigo having funny conversations the father a gynophobe the son a philanderer (how in the hell does that happen) if he and Olivia marry.

  8. if i absolutely positively had to choose only one thing, it'd be to change nowi's outfit so she isn't just shitty lolicon-bait. sure, that'd still leave the atrocious writing, mediocre characters, broken gameplay, bland and flat maps, completely and utterly undeveloped world, dangerously skewed "chrom/avatar is always right even when they're obviously wrong by any reasonable standard" morality, and all the other terrible female character designs, but hey, at least fe13 wouldn't have "abject, blatant paedophilia" as one of its sins anymore!

I would kinda hope that by having varied mission goals that would force more varied maps. For example a defend map would have either more natural chokepoints or perhaps weak areas the enemy could attack to flank you etc. As far as the world yeah there's alot of gaps I suppose but that leaves more to the imagination lol. The Chrom/avatar always being right I wish the choices you made other than the ending one actually had an impact in the game like branching paths with different chapters that could be interesting and I would like to see IS consider doing that.

  9. So I think its safe to say that most people like Fire Emblem Awakening (myself included its my second favorite FE) some even call it the best Fire Emblem out there but knowing that every game has its flaws if there was one thing you could change about the game or improve what would it be?

If I could choose one thing it would be to add varied mission goals (i.e defend until x amount of turns, capture/seize, rescue, keep so and so alive).

Edit: I know there's the Tiki paralogue where you keep her safe but still the goal is to eliminate the enemy commander/enemy

  10. I finished Bayo 2 yesterday amazing game not just for Wii U but period. Looks gorgeous, characters and story are compelling, and even though its a hack and slash still remains interesting with a variety of enemies and many different combos for the different weapons.
