I'm planning to marry Silas and was considering going +Speed -Luck like in my main Awakening file, but I'm not sure. I know I'm going to do my final class as either White Blood or Dark Blood (White Blood for better outfit and healing, or dark blood for better speed caps) I'm leaning more towards Dark Blood but still not quite sure which benefits the team most yet. Also this is considering third path so

PvP. Thinking I want Foleo to generally fire off hard hits with magic but also heal. The rest of team I can't say yet so maybe I can't be helped but any suggestions are great in terms of what class.

Alright there's a pitting I wanted to talk about and how I should set them up. I've grown to like Leon and Sakura and I'm currently looking at what Foleo would look like. After looking at modifiers: Sakura!Foleo Str: -1 Mag: +5 Skl: 0 Spd: 0 Lck: +1 Def: 0 Res: +3 Not bad. Not spectacular. Foleo would have the Rod Knight, Dark Mage and Priest lines. I want him to be able to use that Magic stat and I'm to sure if his end class should be Exorcist, Sorcerer, or Strategist. Thoughts?

So I want to ask a question. I've think I know but want to make sure I have it right when I add it to the opening. Let's say my avatar has access to the Cavalier line and I want to get Luna. If I'm a level 15 White Blood, am I unable to get Luna? Or do I get it automatically via reclassing? I haven't been able to find a clear post about how this works or what happens so if someone can get me an answer to right down I would appreciate it

^According to a Kamui!Midoriko picture on 4chan, children ONLY inherit their parents base class, thus a Luna!Matoi would not actually inherit Samurai. She'd only have the ability to reclass into classes of the Pegasus Warrior and Mercenary lines. This also means that pairings like Subaki/Hinoka and Odin/Nyx are going to hurt their children badly. However, Subaki can pass on a Samurai skill to Matoi, meaning it is possible for her to get Swordfaire or Vantage

iirc Ike has the Vanguard class. This gives him access to Aether, Strength Drain, Veteran's Intuition, and Steel Blade. I don't know if he has other classes, but right away I can say Aether is a must. Strength Drain is aldo somewhat useful of these because Ike is likely to get more kills combined with Aether. The extra strength will increase is damage output.

Hello everyone. With Fe14 out in Japan, we now know about the new functions included in the latest installment including Online Multiplayer and My Castle. With these features optimization of units, pairings, and various skillsets will probably become popular in the future releases of fe14 in the US and Europe. This thread is meant for those who need advice on pairings, the best time to use seals to get skills, and on skillsets in general. I hope this thread will be helpful to those in the future leading up to release :) What are Modifiers? Modifiers are numbers that can raise or lower a unit's maximum stats in certain classes. For example if a classes normal max strength is 35, but the unit in the class has a strength modifier of +2, then their max strength would be 37 while in that class. If the mod is negative, then the classes max stat is lowered for that unit. Modifiers can effect how well certain units perform in certain classes. This means some units may be more inclined to other roles on the team. A character with a +3 magic mod is probably not going to be in a Strength based class. This is why modifiers are important to understand in a Fire Emblem game. How Child Inheritance Works (Modifiers and Classes) First we'll start with how modifiers work. Unlike Awakening, children are tied to their fathers instead of their mothers. However like Awakening, all of the children start with a +1 modifier in all stats. A child's modifiers change depending on who their parents are. The child's modifiers are determined by adding the parent's mods together. Parent mods can be found here: http://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-fates/nohrian-characters/maximum-stats/ Make sure you remember the children all start with a +1 when adding the parent's modifiers together. This could make or break a pairing when calculating if the child can double certain units or not. Example - Charlotte!Siegbert (Charlotte marrying Xander and mothering Siegbert) Charlotte's mods are +3 Strength, +2 Speed, -2 Defense, -2 Resistance Xander's mods are +2 Strength, -1 Magic, -1 Skill, -1 Speed, +2 Luck, +1 Def, -2 Resistance Charlotte!Siegbert's mods would be +6 Strength, +2 Speed, +3 Luck, -3 Resistance *Magic, Skill, and Defense are all 0/neutral. Next is class inheritance. Children naturally inherit the base class of their parents. However, if the child has that class, then they inherit their parent's secondary class. Here are some examples: Sakura!Midoriko. Midoriko's base class is Herb Merchant. Her father's base class is Ninja, while her mother's (in this case Sakura) base class is Priestess. This means a Sakura!Midoriko's base class lines are the Herb Merchant, Priestess, and Ninja lines. (Now for when Parent's share a class such as Matoi and Subaki, who are both Pegasus Warriors. Let's use Hinoka as the mother since she ALSO is a Pegasus Warrior) Hinoka!Matoi. Matoi's base class is Pegasus Warrior. Her father's base class is Pegasus Warrior, but Matoi already has that. Matoi then inherits her father's secondary class which in this case is Samurai. Her mother Hinoka is a Pegasus Warrior but again, Matoi has that. Hinoka passes on Lance Fighter to Matoi. This means a Hinoka!Matoi's base class lines are Pegasus Warrior, Samurai, and Lance Fighter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :) Things we know -Levels do NOT reset to level 1 after reclassing -Eternal Seals expand your level cap (40 is the max that we know of) -Once promoted, you CANNOT reclass into an unpromoted class. you may only reclass to a promoted one at that point. -You can still get your unpromoted class skills after reclassing, even if promoted. Example would be wanting a cavalier skill as a promoted unit. If you reclass to cavalier's promoted class (Great Knight or Paladin) then you'll get the cavalier's skills 1 per level (Great Knight reclass lv 7 ---> Lv 8 (Get Cav skill 1) ---> Lv 9 (Cav skill 2) ---> Lv 9 (Great Knight Skill 1) -Children Skill inheritance works just like Awakening. The last skill in the parent's slot is passed to child -Max stats are not as high as Awakening -Certain classes can only reach a certain level of weapon. A+ supports also only affect one unit and is not mutal between the two units. An example could be Luna could have an A+ with Camilla while Camilla has an A+ with Belka and NOT Luna. -You can buy skills from Streetpass matches after you've beaten them and save 5 units at the end of one playthrough in your logbook and then buy skills from them in another playthrough. So I have a question on how this game will work in terms of third route, the limited edition, and buying the route you didn't get in the cartridge. First, if I get the limited edition (by some miracle) are the Hoshido and Nohr routes all in the cartridge and won't take up blocks on my 3DS. I only have around 4,000 something blocks so I'm very scared about how much my 3DS can hold or if I'll be able to hold all the paths. Also with the limited edition, will the third path take up blocks once it's released in the United States, or will it be imported into the cartridge? Second, if we don't get the limited edition. If I get the Hoshido route and then want to play Nohr and the third path, do BOTH of those take up blocks? I'm just concerned on how much space I have or of I need to get more blocks. Sorry if this has been answered...

No. Only male units have a child tied to them with the exceptions being F!Kamui and Aqua

Plus cold Leo gets a sweetie like Felicia is perfect) •Kanna x Midoriko (they just look perfect for eachother) •Grey x Shara (I paired Gaius and Tharja in Awakening so why not) •Kinu x Shinonome (I have a good feeling about this) I don't know who else. I feel as if once the third path releases, pairings of opposite side will have a sense of optimability. Just a thought. I can see Camilla being a popular mother with the wyvern knight class AND the Dark Mage class.

My opinions on each of them: Kanna: LOVE HIM! The females fine but I like the male version way more. I hope I'll love him as much as I loved Morgan in Awakening. Also I'm happy his appearance will match Silas' silver hair. Dea: There's something about him I don't like. I'm not sure but I never was going to marry Joker so nothing bad there. I just wish he had more confidence in his pose. Maybe I'll end up liking him a lot like Brady. Sophie: Perfect cute fun child! I'm so happy I'm marrying Silas now because she is awesome. I love her personality description and she looks like she'll be a good big sister to Kanna. Brings me back to the Lucina/Morgan sibling relationship. Midoriko: I don't think I ever considered marrying Kaze until I saw her. While I'm still not going to, I'm defineatly marrying M!Kanna to her on my first play through. She looks so sweet and small and cute! Shigure: Design is meh. I think they could've done more design wise especially for Azura's kid. But otherwise I like his personality as it seems like it'd be Aqua's son. The only problem is that I really can't see him with anyone else's hair color. Shara: I wasn't a huge Tharja fan. Nonetheless I'll probably end up using her and pairing her with Gray just for the callback of me pairing Tharja and Gaius in my main file. I like her design for a clone though. Kinu: Love her! Her outfit is so fluffy and her tail is adorable! I can't wait to use her and see what her shape shifting fox looks like (assuming like awakening the shape shifting kids like Yarne and Nah have different models then their parents) Hisame: *sigh* Hinata was probably my favorite male character next to Silas and I was almost set on picking him. But WHY did you give a fun loving guy like Hinata a strict son with a bad haircut. He looks boring and I really don't want to dislike him but I'm just not a fan. He furthered solidified my choosing of Silas :/ Ignis: Kind of old looking but interesting. I get a Brady/Yarne vibe from him personality wise so I'll probably like him a lot. Not much really to say about him tbh Eponne: I like her design and the braids are really pretty on her. Kind of wish her skin was darker just because it's Zero's kid but that's just nitpick. I feel ill like using her. Foleo: PRECIOUS CHILD! While I refuse to marry Leon, I love his son! He's so innocent and looks so insecure and I just want to hug him and comfort him and be a kind aunt. Oh how I will have fun drawing him. Felicia is defineatly marrying Leon now just to give this kid the pink hair that he needs Shinonome: Dang Ryoma has good genes. I really like his hair and design in general. He feels like a family man and I can't wait to get the third path so I can draw my whole family together and all the kids who are "cousins". Really like this guy. Mitama: Really like her design. Her eyes are cute but she's got the Dea feel. Just something seems off. I don't know. Maybe it's because she's Asama's kid and I don't like Asama? Oh well. Kind of meh overall Kisaragi: another baby. Strikes me as stubborn and will come off as bratty to me at least once. I can totally see Oboro as his mom but also a lot of other females. I'll defineatly be using him. I also feel him and Kanna will have a M!Morgan/Owain relationship. Lutz: Wow. I'm not sure how I feel but he is cute and innocent. Another Dea vibe that something is off for me. I feel he'll get into a lot of shenanigans and I'll love him by the time I get this game. Kind of meh but who knows. Soleil: Am I the only one who just sees Inigo? I still like her don't get me wrong but she looks SO much like her dad it's not even funny. Maybe it's the current hair color? I like the callback to Olivia with the headband. I like her. Ophelia: FAVORITE DESIGN WISE! She is so pretty! She looks mischievous yet kind and fun loving. I could see her as another fun big sister to Kanna but design is just too good! I get the impressions that Nyx is her mom from the hair though. Grey: I like Gaius but geez this design is literally Gaius with grey hair. Nothing about him is different like Tharja and Cordelia clones. Oh well. I don't care for Saizou much so I don't know if I'll use him mich either :/. Meh Matoi: I like what they've done with her. Her headband is cute and she isn't Chrom obsessed so maybe I'll actually like her more this time around. Hoping to marry Luna to Subaki in the third path ^_^ Seigbert: a lot of people don't like him and I don't get why. I like his design and his personality seems nice too. You're right. I haven't heard anything about Crimson and Flora support wise. I'm going to go do some digging and then get back to you. Luckily it lines up for females playing the game
