  1. Wait, someone smart explain to me what this means for Azura if you pick a female Avatar. Doesn't marrying one of the fathers mean you miss out on Shigure?

You don't have to miss Shigure if you play as female and want to marry one of the fathers (1st gen males with kids), you'll just replace one 1st gen girl (for example, idk, Rinkah) so she will end up single and you will "take her place". You can do it with Azura if you want to lose her kid (marrying everybody with the males but her) but there's no need to do so xD I hope I explained it well!

  2. Um, what about Azura's kid?

I honestly have zero intention of marrying her at this point, and her kid looks kind of derpy anyway. I don't need him.

You'll need to marry Azura to someone in order not to miss not one but two kids. Azura is one of the 11 girls in each route so you better use her to have the kid of one male too, not only Shigure. In toher words, if you don'g marry Azura some male of you route won't marry too, both will end up single and you maybe end up marrying them xD

  3. Okay I made this topic to talk about an aspect of the game I recently discovered and want to know what you all think.

If you are planning to play as the male avatar and marry a girl from the 1st gen characters you should know that doing that you'll kill one of the kids. Well not kill, but you won't let one kid be born. Yes, marrying Camilla costs the life of an innocent kid xD

Well, this happens because there are exactly 11 men (who have children) [plus de Avatar (so 12)] in each path, and exactly the same number of women who can have supports with them: 11. This does not happen if you play as a female. So, playing as a male you are forced to marry a children unit or the "Kamui-sexuals" (characters that can only support with Kamui) which I feel it is pretty bad strategically speaking because of the new Attack Stance in which supports with other units are really useful. Just with onbe female more available for all the fathers this would not happen... but IS did it this way don't know why...

Prove: I discovered this walking on Google for pictures of Fire Emblem Fates, here the picture where it is explained:

So this leads to two questions: are you still thinking to marry a 1st gen female character? and if you do so, which child are you going to "kill", I'm really interested in this second question, that why I did the poll :D

Discussion about this aspect of the game is absolutely welcome, I want to know what you all think.

I don't want to miss any character, I want to have and get to know all of them, but there are 1st gen females I'm really into and pairing myself with a child it's a thing I find pretty weird imo xD I don't know what to do, I hate this mechanic so badly!!!!

  4. But if Odin is Owain, Lazward is Inigo and Luna is Severa as it was confirmed in some support conversations etc. How can this be before Awakening? Is it me or it makes no sense at all? Even tought Odin and Lawzard say they will kill Grima in the future... mind blow (and btw how they know they will kill Grima? D: )

  5. I don't know If this has been already said here, but I think it is the right topic to express my bewilderment, click the spoiler below to see what I'm talking about (it contains characters and children portraits but I think everybody here has seen this before, anyway I'll use spoiler tag bc there's some "story info" at the end xD)

    My conclusion:

So if you play as a male you are forced to marry a child or one of the only-suport-with-Mamui characters in order not to miss any child??? How could IS make that? I mean, what happens if I want to marry Effie, or what if I want to marry Orochi? I lose one of the childs!????? I'm freaking out tbh

  6. I always suposed that at the end of the game or so you would discover that you are not even truly Hoshidan and you were adopted because of that pointi ears (c'mon!). But the other siblings having access to dragon vein made me think this was just a theory of mine. Seeing that I think I was correct, at the end you'll find out that nobody is your real family and they'll let you S-rank everybody!

With Aqua I supose it happens the same.

  7. I wanted to use Kyan for the male and Shayla/Shaphyre for the female, as I usually do in games... but you made me think that they should be more japanese inspired names to make sense due to the the story so... f*ck xD

Well, sadly I have more than half a year to think about them.

  8. What If children just come back to the Hoshido path? Just a crazy idea that I had but, at the moment, we can't see any Nohr (exclusive) pairing.

As Hoshido is for people who are beginner and for those who enjoyed more Awakening and Nohr is for traditional players... I don't know if this is likely or not but I wanted to share it to see what you think :/

That way we would have one game with children and one without it (3rd path no idea lol), to please everybody (?), like they did with grinding, etc.

  9. This is terrible. I really hope they don't overshadow the parents like Awakening's kids did. l feel like I'm the only one who like the first gen better. I can't believe they pulled this mess again.

This is my fear too :(

I would have preferred no children (Even though Awakening is my fav game so far). At least I hope there's a... good history reason why they added children...

  10. Omg how !! :0 Children is the last thing I was expecting to be announced 0_o

Edit: Are they going to do the children from the future thing again? Or are they going to make them from the same timeline? (I wonder how they'll that the kids are grown up in the game). Also... Tsukuyomi looks to young to have a child with Orochi... more over a child THIS AGE!!
