The fan in me wants Croatia to win
The selfish man in me who has money in his local pool wants France to win.
On a side note, the US road to redemption starts in September. The squads called up since the qualifying debacle show that Bradley and Jozy can kindly go away and never put on a US shirt again, as this younger generation looks like they may actually do something. Good thing too, considering that we're hosting the 2026 World Cup, we've got 8 years to not look like complete crap.

I'm cheering on Odin's Eleven because seeing Argentina get eliminated in groups by Iceland, Nigeria and Croatia (which is more possible than it first sounds) would be hilarious.
Money on Belgium winning, though.
My bold prediction is that Iceland will make it out of the group at Argentina's expense.
As far as Belgium is concerned, they have the talent, but they're less than the sum of their parts. I have them getting thoroughly exposed by Brazil in the quarterfinals.

Since the previous thread has gone over a year since their last post and has gone past the first page, I thought it'd be appropriate to start a new thread.
Champions League final was today, in which Karius has assured that he will receive a standing ovation at Old Trafford and Goodison Park. Shame about Salah, as he is the player I felt would put Egypt through to the Round of 16, but with his injury, I have doubts on how well Egypt will peform.
Speaking of which, the local fans in my area are compiling a list of teams of who to root for during this year's World Cup, considering the US national team embarassing themselves and their country in qualifying (though there is still hope despite the debacle, as it seems to be the much needed wake-up call). My list consists of Germany, Iceland, Poland, and anyone playing Mexico.

So we're guaranteed to be in first in the NL Central by the All Star Break.
I'll have to admit, didn't see that one coming.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, otherwise 2014 nightmares are going to rear their ugly head

The Central's certainly been interesting. If the Pirates win, that will put 4 of the 5 teams within first place. It looks like the Brewers are doing a lot better than expected, while still being in rebuild mode. @Bullwine85
We'll have to see who makes a trade to go for it before the deadline. The Pirates are still borderline, but I think I read a rule that PED suspended players can't be in post-season, so maybe they'll be sellers again, if they don't think they have enough to make a run at it.
The Cubs could really use a starting pitcher, but will need one long-term, and not just for this year. Arrieta will probably leave after this year, and Lackey will probably retire, unless he really turns it around in the second half. The 5th spot has been a merry-go-round, and I'm not sure why the signed Brett Anderson in the first place, since it was only a one-year deal, and he's injury prone. I could have understood if there was a club option for a second year, but really, they're just paying him to be on the DL with no real pay-off if he did turn out to do well. They would have been better off keeping Hammel. Only Lester and Hendricks are really long-term, and that's assuming Hendricks injury isn't going to linger.
As they say "Never count the Cardinals out", but it would be nice to see them have a bad year for once. If the Cubs don't make it to the post season, I'd rather see the Brewers or Pirates make it.
I can't tell if we're leading the NL Central due to our rebuild being ahead of schedule, or the rest of the division tripping over their own feet.

Is there any chance for Jarod too?Guess I'll have to add that one to the request list!

Yeah, but some don't make sense. Brom is already married, man! And Elena is dead.
But otherwise, they're nice! I don't see quotes for all of them though. I'd love to know what Kieran would say. XD
Geoffrey's is too similar to Frederick's imo. I'd change it up a bit. Otherwise, it does sound like him.
@Dragoncat Don't worry, I did a canon x OC too! No problem with that. ^^ Ranulf x Kiara, remember?
Yeah, initially we were reluctant to add canonically married characters like Brom, Pent, Louise, etc, but since we already added characters like Marth, Sigurd, etc, we figured it was only a matter of time

So a friend and I got together a while back to make "confession scenes" for pre-Awakening Fire Emblem characters, haven't gotten much of a chance to post them yet, but I figured SF might enjoy them!
DISCLAIMER: These are not meant to be taken TOO seriously.
Nearly all of them in one album
Also, to get this out of the way,
Why is someone like Nino in there? She's like 14!
Initially, we were reluctant to do characters around Nino's age. However, she was requested by someone who happened to be around her age, so we let it slide
Where is Shadows of Valentia among this?
Coming soon!

Brewers have won 6 out of their last 7 and are up on the Cubs 5-0.
Are.......are we good?

Brewers have runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out in the 8th, only to strikeout twice?
That's the Brewers I know :(

USA wins the World Baseball Classic!
Now I can go back to my regular scheduled disappointment with the Brewers

international football is now officially bad and not good, i suspect that kelsper will share this opinion
the americans on the other hand will be fine and dandy, related note i don't suppose you could lend us dempsey for a couple days?
Thing is, after our first two matches in the final round, we were definitely hitting the panic button (especially after the Costa Rica match, the one that cost Klinsmann his job)
Things were VERY nervy among US supporters, particularly due to key injures (Yedlin, F. Johnson, and Wood were all ruled out due to injury), thankfully the US made a statement.
6-0 is one thing, but against Honduras? (an opponent which usually gives us fits), Gave the US and their supporters a boost in confidence. Pulisic is the real deal.
And Dempsey? Funnily enough, this was his first match for the US since being out six months with an irregular heartbeat. Arena was even reluctant to call him up, but due to key injuries he didn't have much of a choice. Thankfully, it paid off.
A draw Tuesday at Panama would be acceptable, a win at Panama would get our qualifying campaign back on track.
On a side note, got tickets to the US U20 World Cup match vs. Senegal!

I'm so happy that Sutton of all clubs got this run and it ended in this fashion, with their manager vaping on the touchline in one of the matches along the way.
I'm very unhappy that your buddy Claudio was sacked and now instead of fervently hoping Leicester stay up I'm rather pettily fervently hoping Leicester go down.
Still keeping their "Get relegated, still win Champions League" hopes up

Ah the World Baseball Classic, the one time I can tolerate sitting next to a Cubs fan ;)

Honestly, I've called this outcome. Not in the way it happened, I thought it was going to be the Falcons realizing they're at the Super Bowl and then choking as the Patriots rammed the ball repeatedly down their throat all game. I didn't expect the game to be this close or go into overtime. I live in Georgia. I know how bad the Falcons are. I know how bad all of our teams are.
The Falcons INVENTED the choking game. That's what they do. "Oh shit, we've got a shot at winning. Let's get over confident and screw everything up!"
The Patriots have had a more balanced team in the past with more experienced players. That is what was seen today.
I have a saying, "Birds fly, fish swim, Atlanta teams fail to win championships."
Unless it's the '95 Braves.
On a more relevant note, this Super Bowl was an instant classic.

Alfonse just got outclassed by the other, better heroes I pulled.
Anna hits like a truck, but is about as durable as a Tellius healer, so she ended up getting benched after a while.
Sharena does make for a good rallybot however.

Looks to be another year in the Brewers rebuild, which is going even smoother than we expected! Going from a bottom 30 farm system to arguably having one of the better farm systems in the majors is nothing to sneeze at! And Stearns is continuing to wheel and deal, signing Neftali Feliz and Joba Chamberlain to contracts, in which the best case scenario is that they perform well enough to be traded for even more prospects at the deadline.
I'm liking the fact that not only are the Brewers players young for the most part, but so is their management. Stearns is the youngest GM in baseball (being a year younger than Ryan Braun), and Counsell's playing days are still in fresh memory

Yes, but it breaks the recurring joke to give Julie Ann Taylor all the characters that have an unrequited crush on someone
Well, she is voicing Linde, so the gag still remains to some extent :P
