  1. Here's the link for others: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fire-Emblem-Fates-Special-Edition-Nintendo-3DS-/322012782169?rmvSB=true Get them while they're hot!
  2. In Revelation, Orochi can friendship seal Nyx to get access to Sorcerer for Vengeance. No such luck in Birthright. And quick questions like these can be answered in this thread: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=54928
  3. Nowhere in that GameSpot article does it say that same sex marriage is removed. That's about Soleil's support with Corrin, not about the same sex supports between Corrin and Niles/Rhajat.
  4. I wouldn't limit yourself by forcing your avatar to marry a Corrinsexual or a child unit (unless you want to marry one of them, of course). Pair yourself up with whoever you want. Yes, marrying a first gen female will lock you out of one child unit, but realistically you won't recruit all of the children unless you go out of your way to grind up support ranks. As for general advice, try not to finish your player phase without a general idea about how the enemy phase will play out. Be mindful about how enemies will respond to your moves before you make them.
  5. It's gone because there isn't much of a point in having a magical weapon triangle. Enemy magic units tend to be in low density and usually have poor defense but good resistance. You're going to want to kill enemy magic units with your physical units, even if your magic units have a weapon triangle advantage. When the magical weapon triangle is meaningless, there isn't much need for light magic.
  6. I have Prime and my SE hasn't shipped yet. I'm not too worried about it though, because my pre-order of Xenoblade X didn't ship until the afternoon of the day before launch, and it still arrived on launch day (albeit at 8pm).
  7. Honestly, if you aren't getting the SE and if have the SD card space, you might as well download it. This way you'll be able to play it as soon as it hits midnight.
  8. Well, the E rank tomes that you'll be stuck with for awhile won't be able to proc them either. And unless you are Shiro inheriting Astra, the only proc skills that a lance user would feasibly get during a playthrough are Rend Heaven or Luna, neither of which are that useful when using magic because enemy magic/res is generally low. The Bolt Naginata is a very potent weapon.
  9. How do tomes make the Bolt Naginata pointless? They'll only have E rank tomes on promotion, and will have to hit B rank before they can use any tome with equal might to the Bolt Naginata. Basaras and Falcon Knights are best with it because of their base magic.
  10. Replies in bold. ...and with a tonic it's back up to 11.4, and a plus speed pair up can take it to 14.4. Bringing up average stats doesn't accomplish much without corresponding enemy stats.
  11. You'd only get those skills if Mercenary!Hero was the class that you were changing into. If you were changing into Fighter!Hero you would get HP+5 and Roundhouse instead of Stubbornness and Patient Assurance. Also, quick questions like these can be asked in the "I just want to know one thing!" thread, rather than starting a whole new tread. http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=54928
  12. I wouldn't say that magic is nerfed in this game (unless you are talking about Nosferatu), but most of the magic users you get are mediocre. In Birthright, Orochi is slow and very fragile, and Hayato comes way underleveled with terrible bases. In Conquest, Odin has low-ish bases and only average growths, while Nyx is made of glass and has problems hitting. Ophelia's paralogue does give you good things like Horse Spirit and a Reverse Spirit, though. In Revelation, Hayato is much better for he comes with reasonable bases and makes a good Oni Chieftan. Orochi is mostly the same as in Birthright, but joins later which makes her even worse. Nyx and Odin come very late in Revelation with terrible bases and are ORKO'd in their join chapters. Felicia can be sealed into Strategist in all routes, but she's also frail and has to deal with E rank tomes for awhile. Depending on your difficulty, the only units I would call unsalvageable are Odin and Nyx in Revelation, but the only one that I would call good is Hayato in Revelation.
  13. It's not that simple. You don't need access to every class on every route, and taking the time to raise Corrin's support rank with a character you wouldn't normally use is cumbersome. If the two classes really do perform similarly unpromoted (which I don't agree with entirely, for the speed difference might be significant), then there's no reason to pick Diviner at all since Dark Knight is the superior promoted class. It's much more efficient to promote into Dark Knight than it is to Friendship Seal into it.
  14. The Quickdraw Katana is now the Practice Katana. My guess is that it's Hoshido's Mist Blade. The Hoshidan armory is now the Dawn armory, and Sunrise and Dawn are similar, so maybe.
