  1. What Jotari said. I wasn't equating autism to stupidity, I was trying to point out two issues. In fact, people with my form of it tend to be pretty intelligent (look at Einstein. He's thought to have had Asperger's). They just lack some other brainly functions. I probably lack the ones that could help me be good at Smash Bros. games. I'm not understanding things that others are picking up right away. That's how I can tell.

The problem of not being smart enough is that I can't find any way to actually understand them. Whatever methods work for those people don't work for me. I feel like I probably have to open a notebook, take notes on videos or something, and study it like I'm some school kid. But that's silly to do just for a video game...

it's not that people with autism lack the brain functions it's more so that they have a completely different way of thinking and interpreting things that other people due to how their brain develops i know from personal experience.

also on a lighter note GGs everyone.

  2. It felt more like a mechanic than actual character development to be honest. Sure there were cute little brother scenes but the overall story didn't really show much with Luigi. Yes there are interactions but it was more or less a way to hide extra areas than actual story telling. It never really changed my opinion of Luigi at all.

well there is dreams deep which explorers his inner psyche and the fact that the intro to most of the giant battles starts with him running away before becoming giant but for the final one he does it by choice not by accident showing growth in confidence. but i do understand where you're coming from though

  3. personally i found the story good especially when it came to the writing and comedy but i would've preferred to see the original characters of both universes as i find them very interesting and like their interactions with the core cast a lot.

also if you want to see luigi development dream team has plenty of it but then again he was the focus character of that game.

  4. I feel like Flint only having two Fire types in Diamond and Pearl was just a big goof-up on GameFreak's part. :P By the time they realized how few Fire types they put in the games, it was too late and they were like "aw shit." Glad they fixed the problem in Platinum though! Flint has a full team of Fire types there.

at least it isn't gen 2 where they had a dragon type gym leader and champion despite the fact that there were only 2 fully evolved fire types so they just ended up giving lance 3 dragonites.

  5. my party's stats currently after beating the game at lv37 for mario and luigi are pretty standard. mario has more attack, BP, speed and luigi is better in HP, defence and stache. but paper mario has the all around best stats because i'm biased and gave him pretty much all of my stat boosters.

  6. tbh it's kinda tough to choose a favourite for me personally. in gen 6 i love ORAS and whilst i enjoy X and Y it's not nearly to the extent of ORAS. i adore BW2 but don't enjoy the originals all that much due to region linearity and forcing you to only use new pokemon and a bit of an overly complex story. gen 4 is overall probably my 2nd fav due to sinnoh, great new mechanics, characters, new much needed evolutions etc. also HGSS are great remakes. but my fav is gen 3 partly because it's my home gen but also because of how vast and interesting hoenn is as a region and the more tropical designs of the pokemon introduced. it also had good remakes of the gen 1 games. but what pushes it as best for me are the spin offs, the orre games whilst not perfect tried doing something diffrent (especially coliseum) in terms of gameplay and storytelling. it also introduced the mystery dungeon games which whilst i'm not the biggest fan of over more unique gameplay, great soundtracks and a decent challenge.

  7. So, having played through some more of the game now, I gotta warn new players that the bosses in this game are pretty difficult if you don't know what you're doing or you're not too great at timing your button presses right or executing certain moves. I've yet to beat any of them in one try, except maybe the first one. I can't remember. xP But take advantage of the practice feature! I've been doing that and it helps tremendously. Sure could've used it in Paper Mario TTYD...

Otherwise, I'm totally enjoying this game and it's making me want to go back to earlier Mario & Luigi titles! I can't remember why I put down Partners in Time or Bowser's Inside Story. I think maybe I just ended up getting interested in other games and then forgetting about them. And yeah, for some reason, I never picked up Dream Team. I really should have, it's got a lot of Luiginess. lol

i can definitely recommend the other games in the series especially bowsers inside story and dream team. partners in time and superstar saga ate both on virtual console as well and are decently cheap. and don't worry the papercraft battles are nothing compared to the giant battle in bowsers inside story and dream team.
