  1. Renais suggested returning to the inn. That sounded like a good plan. She lifted her faceguard, giving a warm look to both her, and Gean, grateful for the two of them. Miria grabbed a hold of Gean just in case, even though she felt she could walk. It was still really only her chest, still feeling like it was caved in. "Thank you," She softly responded to them both, giving a small giggle, "And yes Gean, I'm a little hungry again. But... I'm not as sore as usual."
  2. Miria's panting converted to some heavy breaths. She nodded at Gean's request, giving a smile hiding under her helmet, "I'm... I'm okay. Promise. Just gotta, yeah, take the armor. But not here, I don't wanna change back in public." There was a clear wariness in Miria's tone.
  3. With Alvira's Ice weakening this mercenary leader, Miria followed up with a quick slash. It connected, but she was open, this broadsword connected to her chest. Thankfully, the armor ate most of the hit, but Miria felt it. Armor or no, it was a large blade. Not letting it hold her back, Miria went for another attack. At least... I won't be here to see you gloat. Miria had slashed entirely through the abdomen, and was past Darlunya at that point. She heard the woman collapse. It's over? Miria dropped to a knee, panting. The adrenaline calmed after hearing the fallen woman, her heart was pumping... and her stomach hurt. Either she was hungry or it was the sword hit... more than likely the latter. Stabbing her sword to the ground, Miria stood. Her panting lessened, and she took a deep sigh.
  4. "As long as I stand, the only person going to the grave will be you!" Miria engages Darlunya.
  5. It's almost over. Just gotta push a little longer. Miria moves to 8,16, swords the archer
  6. Miria gave a nod to Syndra as the two Crows approached. This was almost nothing, keeping Syndra at least protected for the moment, she wasn't as armored as her. The axeman tried his hardest, but Miria dodged with grace, and struck back, once in the arm and another in the leg. And another approached, this one caught her unaware. Her gauntlet took the blow of the sword, but she felt it. Thinking as quickly as she could, "Syndra, get the other one!" As she charged to attack the axeman again! Miria engages Fighter 2!
  7. Scarfing down what was left, Miria watched as everyone began either hiding, or the Tigers getting ready for battle. She found herself an off-side room, empty... Sneaking inside, she took a deep breath. "Okay, let's do this." Miria pulls her gem from her necklace, holding it tight, and focusing, and soon, there was a glow and Miria was in her armor. Unclipping her helmet from herself, she quickly also had it on. Running out of the building, she joined the rest of her squad. Taking a quick observation of the situation, she noticed the men towards the port. That was her first move, holding that side. Miria moves to 2,8
  8. Wonderful, an incredibly loud alarm suddenly going off across the place. Marina covered her ears, and noticed... something emerging from across the hall. What on... And the alarm stopped? Marina sighed, and now Lucille was doubling back. "I, mmm, don't worry Lucille. Vilkiss takes priority! We can... h-handle this." What a day, what a week, what a... everything. Marina moves to 45,41 "It's... very relaxing seeing you two."
  9. Miria had been eating but she hadn't missed the conversation. Apparently, a fight was on its way. With some mercs some of the other members encountered yesterday, who Ingverd egged on, and something about... a hand? Miria thought about her father, and how he was given guff for years by the random off-country visitor, who felt the need to badmouth him because he was a clouded. Miria's brow furrowed, but she held a thumbs-up signalling she was good to go. Her face was still mowing down her plate. Good thing she was eating so well...
  10. Breakfast Break Miria had already gone through a plate of food, and of course, the rumblies still continued. Almost like it was compelling her to eat. The girl would find it weird normally, but more breakfast sounded like a great idea! She forgot some milk and maybe some juice too. She waved to Renais when she saw her nod in acknowledgement to her. And she was off again. She returned to where she and Gean were sitting, with a second plate stacked with food, also with some milk, and a bit of juice too. She was ready for another good, long eat.
  11. Four-Hundred Fifty... Wow, that is a lot. But Miria has a smile of confident happiness at the chef being amazed at her 'spicy crab eating' skills. Ingverd took care of it all, and he was ready to head out. Whatever he was doing to Karin, it seemed he was done with it. "Okay, Ingverd, let's go." She turned to Karin, similarly just being nice, "Thank you Karin, it was delicious." And gave a smile.
  12. Marina flinched a bit at Lucille's question. Just the way she asked, she tried to not let it bother her. "I'm alright, better than I probably would've been if not for you. Thank you, Lucille." She did her best to be nice, maintaining some positivity between them. She heard someone yell for her, she saw... Lavinia, in the distance. "Ahh, there's..." She started, before she stopped to listen to Lucille tend to Vilkiss. "No problem Lucille, I'll take point, keep you and Vilkiss safe until you two are ready to go." She smiled to them, and took point, blade in hand. Marina moves to 48,43
  13. "Of course." She responded with a smile. Man my face is hot right. It's okay, just a couple more. It was worth it! Miria continued on with her eating. Embracing the softness of this creature, Miria was in complete shock. Ten minutes ago, she couldn't believe people at crab, and here she was, practically devouring one. "Mmm," Miria sighed happily. She had only a couple of pieces left. It would be easy. No water, let's go! And within the next couple of minutes, some snaps, and some sounds of a pleased girl. She took a nearby wipe, and cleaned her hands off as best she could, and... took a drink and realized she was out of water. Then after, she wiped off her face. "Thank you Ingverd. That was so delicious. My face isn't red, is it?"
  14. "Freshly caught? Yeah, it would taste better fresh than if it was preserved for awhile, wouldn't it?" She replied as she continued eating with her utensils. "I know Papa always said something about that," changing to a silly, grouchy man voice, "'Miria, I need'ya to go into town and pick up an order from Lester. It's the beginning of the week, we gotta get that pork before it's sold out'." And her voice went back to normal, "Sorry, wasn't projecting. Just that Papa was on top of stuff like that," and she made a small giggle. Regarding the comment of her eating, "Nono, it's fine. I was being pretty messy." She maintained her smile. "It's, I can enjoy it a bit more, and maybe not dirty up my hands. Don't want too much spicy stuff on them, then I touch an eyeball by accident," and she followed with a laugh.
  15. "Well, thank you Ingverd. That's... very kind of you," and now there wasn't a way to tell if Miria was blushing, or she was still hot from the food, it didn't matter. When she noticed Ingverd with a knife. She decided, that's probably a good idea, she probably looked like an animal compared to him. She got her fork out, and after breaking the next leg, she got out her next bit of meal with the fork. Almost like a complete shift, she took a bite of her crab, refined stature and all. Though, she couldn't fix the problem of an entire pitcher of water. She should've asked for a glass with it... After a few minutes, Miria had developed a small cough. Now it was starting to get to her. Not that it botheted her, "S-She was right, this," she gave a small breath, not helping sate the hot, "this is really hot. Haha," Her laugh was light, but she was enjoying herself. "How about you, Ingverd? How's your crab?"
  16. "W-Wait, really? Are you sure?" Miria's face tilted some, the red in her face was clear, even the light tears trickling out. That was typical spicy food stuff, she didn't mind. "Like, I could cover my own costs, it's okay." Miria sat back some, she had went in so hard initially, she took some more water. There was something refreshing about the cool water after gorging on spicy food.
  17. Ingverd took the book, and it seemed like he had an idea of who Gran was. That was... an interesting thought. Miria thought she'd never actually meet someone who recognized the name but, here he is. She had dropped off the pitcher, and almost immediately after, Karin was back with the crab. Miria could smell it. Her mouth was practically already watering. When it was placed in front of her, she could almost already feel the tear-soaked eyes and runny nose. Her smile would've lit up the entire city if it could. "Thank you Miss Karin!" She hadn't meant to say it so loudly, but her excitement was clear. And Ingverd set her book aside, not wanting to stain it. Miria nodded in response, and watched him pick at the crab. So that's how you eat it. Good, I probably would've bitten at the leg... Miria finally removed her vambrace from her arm and placed it on her lap. She went for a piece of the crab, and with some wiggles, there was a SNAP, and she pulled the leg apart, seeing a... juicy, soft piece of meat on the inside. Her eyes shone. Did she pull it out, or-- Almost instantly she took it to her mouth, and sucked out the meat like it was a straw. For a few moments, she chewed on it, and there was a clear, muffled yelp. Her face started to redden. After swallowing the crab meat, she grabbed her pitcher and took a drink from it. Setting it back down, it was clear she was trying to cool her mouth with her breathing. "This... This is, s-so, good! Wow!" She took the second half of the leg she broke, and instantly sucked the meat out of that piece.
  18. There it goes again. She suddenly changed her tune regarding Ingverd. She knew he had to have done something, but... He'd probably write it off again. A sigh, thankful at least nothing crazy happened. Besides, he asked about her book. Her smile lit up, "Well, it’s a stor-- no, more of, a collage of writings about an ancient hero of Holy Lufiria. They called him Gran Falcnir. Some excerpts are from him, others from acquaintances. Apparently, he was a big icon, and as Lufiria began to collapse, he suddenly... disappeared." She was clearly mystified. "It's a big book and has a lot of stuff in it. I've been on it for about... I wanna say a couple months now." She handed it over, seeing if Ingverd wanted to look at it.
  19. Miria was confused, but Karin was right! It sure would suck to eat something hot and have nothing to cool it. She gave a nervous laugh, "It's alright Miss I forgot to ask. Could I nust get a glass of water please. Or actually, if you do it can I just get a whole pitcher of water? I might need it." And she kept a big, beaming smile.
  20. "Well, alright." It was strange, but Miria could tell Ingverd didn't want to talk about it. She understood that, so she let it go. Now, he was trying to start some conversation. "I guess yeah, shelter is the right word. I grew up in Morano, and really never left it. Papa left me in charge so he could go on 'adventures'-- go find treasure to bring home and add to the shop. So I took up reading to pass the time." She smiled, as she went to her side pack, "I like stuff about well... old legends, hero stories, stuff like that." And out she pulls the tome from before. "This has been one of my favorites, even if it's been... a long read."
  21. Marina held on tight to Lucille as they dropped below. The fact that things were going awry and the feeling of being dragged into the dark, Marina was almost now in full panic. Steel yourself, steel yourself... Marina, you've already seen some of the worst life has dealt you, this is nothing! And before she knew it, they were suddenly in this, eerily blue place. She took took some deep breaths, and was able to hop off as they landed. She wiped some sweat off her face. She felt sick to her stomach. Probably some anxiety, but... it didn't feel draining anymore. But it sure was surprisingly cool... Of course, this would be the time as soon as Marina stopped wearing her jacket, she'd want it. "I... Where are we?" She couldn't help but ask. Marina hops off at 48,48
