  1. I assume this came from the initial Nintendo Dream leak. More specifically, the part part that says "組み合わせはある程度限られているが". But how much that "ある程度" will turn out to be is anyone's guess, really...
  2. Also posted this in the other thread, but yes, in all likelihood this is true. I haven't read Nintendo Dream, but one of Dengeki's reviewers also suggests they finished the game without having anyone marry.
  3. This information is reliable. One of Dengeki's writers also mentions having completed the game without having anyone marry.
  4. The way the description is worded implies that they can still attack/counter. Also, as promised, here's a list of minor details from the Dengeki issue that I thought were (somewhat) interesting or amusing:
  5. I'm sorry, but I'd prefer not to post any further pictures. It's a bit of a hassle to circumvent the print-screen protection on the digital issue, and well, that print-screen protection is probably there for a reason. ^^; Anyway: (I assume you can read Japanese since you found the other page on 2ch, but for those who can't I'm adding a rough translation) His profile text reads: クールなエリート王子 レオン 主人公の弟で、何でもそつなくこなせる天才肌。兄のマークすとは異なり、魔術を得意としている。初期兵種は「ダークナイト」で、魔法を使って戦う騎馬タイプのユニット "The cool elite prince" "Leon" "The protagonist's younger brother, he is a genius who handles any situation flawlessly. Much unlike his older brother Marx, his specialty is magic. His initial class is "Dark Knight", a mounted class that uses magic in combat." The text besides a screenshot underneath his profile that shows him speaking to Marx reads: クールでそっけない性格をしているが、マークスや主人公など、兄妹のことは尊敬している。 "His personality is cold and brusque, but he has great respect for his brothers and sisters, including Marx and the protagonist." Well, to be honest it's still hard to tell what kind of outfit it is exactly. All I can really say is that she wears a dark blue scarf-ish thing around her neck that largely obscures whatever is beneath it. I think her outfit is similar to Kamui's, with the dark blue cape wrapped around her neck as a scarf, but I'm really not sure. Perhaps she's a Dark Prince(ss) like Kamui?
  6. I don't have scans, I simply bought the digital version. I'm sorry to say this, but it's an awful lot of trouble to take pictures of that because of the protection measures on the reader software, not to mention it's illegal, so I'd really prefer not to upload any pictures of it. (Apart from that tiny Shara portrait I already posted on another thread, that is :P) I'll go over it once more to see if there are any other details people might want to know about. It's mostly just an overview of what we already know though, i.e. no big reveals outside of the marriage+children thing, but there's 40 pages in total, so I have to admit I skimmed over some parts (like screenshots and captions) the first time I read it.
  7. The screenshot with Shara is awfully small, so the quality is only marginally better than what we saw in yesterday's leaks, but here you go: There was no further information on either of the children. There was a pretty extensive overview of all of the units that have been revealed so far, but Shara and Kanna weren't even listed. Dengeki's editors have apparently already played the full game, so I assume IS told them to keep all details on the second generation under wraps until the game's release.
  8. I don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere, but today's Dengeki issue shows a screenshot of the description of the "Freeze" staff. It's not actually a traditional status staff, it simply renders an enemy unable to move for 1 turn and reduces their evasion by 20. It has a range of 1-7 and a hit rate of 80. It sounds like this could be really useful on higher difficulties. (Perhaps even a bit too useful.) (Sorry if this isn't the right topic for this, but I didn't know where else to post it and I thought people might be interested.)
  9. I'm reading the digital issue of Dengeki right now, and it's dedicating a full 40 pages to FE14, but the only new information of any real importance seems to be the part that already leaked yesterday. The rest is basically just an overview of everything we already knew about the game, with some additional comments here and there. As far as the new characters are concerned, it does mention that Asama's skill will also activate when he's only carrying staves (i.e. a staff is not considered a weapon for the purposes of his skill), which makes it a pretty decent skill. I'm not sure where you're even going with this argument, but I just want to point out that some classic players actually enjoy playing without resets. [/off-topic]
  10. Oh come on, wasn't yesterday's Corrin overpowered enough? This is getting pretty ridiculous.
  11. Looks like today's Fates footage will go live only 10 minutes from now!
  12. Reactions over at 2ch seem to be very mixed. The discussions going on over there are actually really similar to what we're seeing here. (But we should probably keep in mind that the people discussing the game at 2ch before its release might not be representative of the opinions of the game's Japanese audience as a whole.)
  13. If I were to take a guess I'd say it reads: 下手でもドジでもいいから・・・これから僕のこと、 一生ずっと世話をしてくれないかな? ...I'll leave it to Kirokan to translate that in a way that doesn't make it sound incredibly awkward and silly.
  14. Obviously the story would have to be adjusted to the timeskip, and obviously the characters would have to age. Assuming that the fact that children would be a thing in this game was decided at an early stage of development (which it probably was), that really shouldn't have been too hard. But clearly this isn't the path they've chosen for FE14. Still, I'd have preferred even a poorly executed timeskip over time travel and outrealm gates. It's a lot more believable that way. And yeah, I know the game is filled with magic. But magic as a part of the game's world and gameplay isn't quite the same as using magic as a convenient plot device. Just because people can summon fire balls and lightning bolts in the FE universe that doesn't mean the writers should get away with covering up their plot holes by saying 'oh, this happened because magic!'.
  15. Well, pretty much the only way to shove kids into the game without time travel or other supernatural explanations would be a timeskip. I'll take a timeskip over time travel any day.
  16. My thoughts exactly. Really, if it takes time-travel or alternate dimensions to explain why a feature is in your game, it probably shouldn't have been there in the first place.
  17. You'll find all of their posts if you look for ID "HEkfxpOo" on this page: http://peace.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/handygrpg/1434625781/ The post I was referring to is no. 692.
  18. Yeah, it certainly is. But the cover of this month's Nintendo Dream does seem to indicate that it includes new gameplay information, so it's (unfortunately) not outside of the realm of possibility...
  19. The leaker on 2ch says it's for both sides, with Nintendo Dream apparently suggesting that you use face-rubbing to make up for the limited support-building time on the Nohr side.
  20. Well, most of them have probably read this magazine more often than any of us have, so as much as I would like to believe that it's fake, if 2ch is in agreement that it's real, then I guess it probably is. Then again, noone else apart from the initial leaker seems to have been able to buy a copy yet, so we can't be 100% sure yet.
  21. In the screenshot the daughter (Kanna) talks about being able to fight in the 'outside world'. I think yesterday's Famitsu said something about My Castle being in a separate dimension of some sort, so perhaps the flow of time is just... different in My Castle? (I would really hate it if that's really the explanation they come up with though, if this is real.)
  22. Well, I just checked out a few past scans from Nintendo Dream, and the layout + somewhat odd writing style does seem to match... Most people on 2ch are taking it serious as well. But I really, really hope it's a fake. There's one instance of missing interpunction where other magazines would definitely have used interpunction, but from what I just saw ND apparently always does things that way, so it might not be a typo after all. The other one was an odd sentence in the article text where I would have expected an extra particle, but it could have been intentional. Perhaps my thinking that this should be fake is just wishful thinking. orz
  23. This looks fake. It contains (EDIT: what looked like...) multiple typo's and the writing style seems somewhat amateurish. But then again it could be real regardless of that. .__. (...and I'm going to be horribly disappointed if it is in fact real.)
  24. Yeah. From what I've seen, most pre-load titles become available either at midnight Japanese time, or 2 hours before midnight. In any case, we should be able to play it on the 24th!
