  1. I’m gonna add my vote to Dark Knight Sylvain. His spell list is solid, plus his +20 avoid makes him really tanky. Really, the great about Sylvain is that he can a little bit of everything and do it well. He can double, be a physical attacker, be a magic attacker, he can heal and he can be tanky. He’s jack of all trades done right. Sylvain’s real only flaw is his weakness in bows, other than that it’s hard to find something Sylvain can’t do and do it well.
  2. It was really well thought response, if a little late. Though, I’m not entirely sure I believe him, something seems...off.
  3. One thing about the TWSITD/Edelgard alliance that I don’t understand is who approached who first. Did Edelgard approach them or was it the opposite? I know Hubert sees them as a necessary evil, but at the same it seems that he’s looking for the first excuse to get rid of them, so I can’t say for sure that it could have been his idea either.
  4. Looks like Nero Fest will start on Thursday 29th, and I’m pretty excited. I heard pretty crazy things about Lotto so I’m interested to see how maddening Lotto farming is.
  5. It’s ironic really, despite their personalities, Sylvain is arguably more cynical than Felix.
  6. Even so, it feels like only Kagetora really stands out as a Servant from the Koha-Ace bunch. It helps that she is a welfare Lancer, which are rare. Changing the subject, how does Summer Melt compare to Fionn as a NP looper? At first it feels like she’s better, but with her NP charge skill draining NP from other teammates, it feels like she might need more specialized teammates, plus the fact that there might be situations where her NP charge might not work at all.
  7. To be honest, I don’t think they’re biased against females, rather I think they’re more...”experimental” with female kits, which gives more chances of them being bad. That being said, I definitely think they’re biased against Koha-Ace Servants.
  8. To make matters even worse, according to the wiki, her insta death rate is 50%. Insta Death is not very common, but it’s still a pretty bad thing for Summer Okita’s survivability. With Avenger Nobu being arguably one of the worst SSR, and now Summer Okita, I’m starting to think DW has something against Koha-ace or against female Servants in general. Specifically popular female Servants, like Okita, Nobu and Miyu. Feels like the famously bad Servants are usually popular females while the top tier ones are usually male. Not to say the opposite doesn’t happen but still. I wonder of it’s because they know the popular females Servants will sell, they feel like they can more “experimental” with them, with more “unique” kits.
  9. Looking at Summer Okita’s NP, it seems she’s stunned after it, sorta like vanilla Jeanne’s original NP. I mean, a command code can fix that, but some people are already claiming she sucks. Seems some players are unhappy with this year’s batch of Summer Servants in terms of gameplay, in the sense they are already assuming they’re bad without even giving a second glance. I know I did that with Summer Musahi. Considering how Merlin trended worldwide for a bit during Sunday, it feels weird that a male Servant is the most popular character in a Summer event.
  10. With Fates and Three Houses, it seems that the that the “choose your path” formula was very well received by the fandom, but the question is, how will IS see that? Will it become the new standard for Fire Emblem? And should it become the new standard? Personally, I wouldn’t mind if it became the new standard, it makes the story more interesting, gives the games more replay value and it’s a clever way for pre release marketing because it immediately gives people a hype topic to talk/argue about.
  11. About the comparison between Saber Hokusai and Sabelot this is what I gathered: Saberlot seems more consistent and needs less support to do his thing. He can keep pulling Arts crits on his own. No need to use quick cards. That, plus an extra buster card, higher base ATK and normally a more potent crit buff means he has higher normal damage overall. His star gather skill is way more potent and has a lower CD. Hence, consistency as a crit unit. Hokusai’s NP is much stronger though, between the easy NP5 and multiplicative buffs. Her crits will be absolutely insane if you get the right hands and can generate enough stars to abuse her 3rd skill, much in the way her Foreigner counterpart does. I wouldn’t say one is definitely better than the other. Hokusai’s full value will depend on the tools you have to support her. Also, if you somehow get NP2+ Saberlot, their performance becomes much closer. Although...where does Yagyu stands compared to the other two? I gotta admit, I’m not sure.
  12. From what I’ve heard, Appmedia is already considering Summer Musashi to be on the same level as Avenger Nobu, though I will admit that Summer Hokusai is damn good, on the same level as Saberlot maybe even better than him.
  13. Looks like the new JP Summer Servants aren’t very impressive. In particular, Musashi has a skill with 5000 HP demerit. Whose idea was to give that sort of demerit to a Berserker?!
  14. But liberating Faerghus first would go against Dimitri’s current revenge obsessed personality. And it really isn’t impossible for troops to be delivered, some NPCs in Monastery mention that the supplies and troops delivered by Rodrigue was barely enough, plus Rodrigue left his brother in charge.
  15. I don’t get it how BL and GD routes being similar is a flaw of the BL route only. Shouldn’t it be held against the GD route as well? Plus the Church route is the one that is practically the same as GD.
  16. The last duo to get a buff is Maid Alter and Gawain. Maid Alter’s buff is...weird, but Gawain’s is pretty good!
  17. She’s an interesting character. I mentioned this in another thread, but her biggest flaw is not explaining her actions. In the the prologue, she tries to have Dimitri and Claude killed without trying to make an alliance with the them and Dimitri wouldn’t be as obsessed with her if she explained her actions. It seems to me that Edelgard is partially motivated by her own arrogance, as in “only I can change the world” or “only I am right”. And she expects everyone to instantly agree with her. It ironically makes her very similar to Rhea/Seiros.
  18. So the new summer servants are Musashi, Carmilla and Osakabehime, and while Melin, Siegfried and Kotaro get new costumes. Honestly, I’m more excited for the boys since it means another Merlin banner.
  19. Personally Edelgard’s biggest flaw is that she never explain the reason for her actions. Sure, Dimitri may look like a fool in the BE route, where he goes against Edelgard and side with Rhea. But does Edelgard ever gives him a reason for why she’s doing things? No wonder Dimitri and others think of her as power hungry tyrant. He never had a reason for not attacking Edelgard.
  20. Actually the crest problem is solved in all routes, it’s stated that Byleth reforms the church in some BL/GD endings. BE’s it’s just a more...brutal way to go about it.
  21. This is more due to Edelgard’s personality. She’s the type of person that who is like “it’s either my way or you die”, so in way she’s not that different from Rhea/Seiros. A good example this is the beginning chapter, where instead of trying to reveal the church’s dark secrets to Dimitri and Claude and try to make an alliance with them, she chose to kill them and take control of the Kingdom and the Alliance for herself, believing that only she could lead them.
  22. Well, it’s more likely that the monastery doesn’t have restrooms, but rather each room has a chamber pot. The monastery might have latrines though.
  23. Looking on my friend list I found two players with Lv. 90 10/10/10 Caster Nero. She’s really a popular, isn’t she? And looks like the winning teams are the one with the best farming nodes. Not surprising.
