  1. This is quite an ambitious idea and in my experience of being in a team developing games and developing games by myself, you'll benefit a lot if you have a place to bounce ideas around and exchange feedback and critique that's not just within a thread on a forum. Having an active community will help you a lot in keeping yourself and others motivated because it's very easy for that passion and eagerness to die out.

It's all fun and games when you have a fun idea for a game you want to make, but it's a whole other playing field if you want to actually delve into developing it. Sorry if this comes off as being too serious and you should have fun with it, but know that making a game and potentially having people be a part of it carries a lot of weight.

Yeah I do understand what you're saying but there will always be people that will jump to conclusions like that, I don't think there's any avoiding that. Especially since these very same people are already against the game because of the teacher-student relationship.

I guess all I can do is hope that people this time around actually take time to do their research because being so reactionary can catch the wind of game articles and journalism and regardless of whether they debunk those reactions/accusations or not, it's not exactly positive publicity for the game (but then again, bad publicity could turn into curiosity). This is more of a personal issue, but it just really bums me out when people have the wrong idea about a game in general.

Could be that we can only romance her after we recruit her, which might only be when she becomes her "true form"?

    Spoiler

I guess that makes sense but it's just going to sound REALLY weird and sketchy when the words "you can romance Sothis" are being thrown around and an outsider looking in is only going to see Sothis in her child-like appearance because spoilers with her 'true form'. Like this situation just screams the time during Fates release when someone thought Soleil's support with Male Corrin was supporting conversion therapy despite them having 0 context of the nature of supports. It just wouldn't look or sound good in terms of first impressions, you know?

I'm just using spoilers just in case!!!

Also a lot of my assumptions are rooted in my fear and anxieties of what happened with Fates in terms of first impressions so I'm aware that I am being hyperbolic, but it's just coming from fear.

  4. Spoiler

squints really hard at the "Gay pairings will be a thing, with Edelgard, Sothis and Dorothea being romanceable by Female Byleth" because that implies that Sothis will be corporeal at some point and not just be a voice in your head. Assuming that she'll revert to her real-age-look when she gets her memories back, wouldn't she be an old lady????? Romance her when she looks like a child but then turns back to an old lady just seems REALLY sketchy.

Ooh, that’s a nice thing to bring to that!

It was a really great experience! I've been developing the demo for over 8 months as my final university project and I'm really happy with the overall positive reception that it got!

I've also made a twitter for the game to keep track of progress and development since the demo is only a portion of it!

  6. Perhaps it can even refer to the climate in each location and that would still fall in line with the houses with one of the Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon in the title being the odd one out.

I say that because iirc, wasn't it mentioned how the Holy Kingdom of Farghus is supposed to be cold? That Kingdom could be the Snow in the title.

I also thought about how it could be related to the calendar system but that seems a kind of insignificant.

  7. I'm just hyped about being able to play a new Fire Emblem game in general because sometimes I'll play Fire Emblem games for the gameplay as a means to de-stress.

The internet is a breeding ground for harsh criticism, bold accusations, and jumping the gun but I take solace in the fact that there's still that potential to change those criticisms because experiencing something first-hand is going to be different than just seeing the information presented to you. How do you apply what you've learned about the game and use that knowledge when the game is in your hands?

I'm cautiously optimistic and I can't wait to delve into what Three Houses has to offer. I'm really intrigued by the bits of story that have been hinted and some of the theories that have been floating around.

  8. Congratulations on graduating high school!! It's an accomplishment to be proud of and you have a bigger accomplishment ahead of you after graduating college!

I myself am graduating from university in June and it's always rewarding to take a well deserved break after every milestone and success.
