I think that IF Inteligent Sysitems do a Reamke of Fire Emblem 4 with an Avatar, I wish we could chose an holy blood (minor) with the influence of Early game Robin, and maybe a new character to marry him like Sigurd and Diadre, and sidequests for geting some characters from Trachia 776, like Saias.

NO.  FE4 does not have an avatar, and one should not be shoehorned in. It would just steal all the spotlight and hog all the glory. Probably wouldn't even die at Barhara, knowing avatars. (Cyas, etc. I don't really care about either way, but I am strongly against an avatar.)

  2. I have no love for most of the Jugdral and Akaneia localisation names, but stupid CED takes the cake. The original Japanese game had Sety, wielder of Holsety and descendant of crusader Sety. Then the localisation changes that to Ced, wielder of Forseti? What was going through their heads? Dishonourable mention to most of the random spelling tweaks throughout when normal names become fancy pretentious ones.

    • Lots and lots of animated cut scenes. GotHW has the best story in FE so I would love to see as much of it developed as possible. Side-stories, flashbacks, all that good stuff. I'm fine with that.
    • Breaks during the chapters. It not news to anyone that the maps are huge and have a lot of empty space, so breaking them up with cut scenes and a camp or something will make the maps less overwhelming. Not particularly opposed to breaks in the action. Keep the big maps, though. Ain't FE4 without 'em.
    • Add the possibility to get ALL holy weapons. Make it so Lex's kids can inherit Helswath and Azel's kids can get Valflame, etc. No. The holy bloodlines are split between light and darkness, so it's kinda cheapened by getting all the weapons. Besides, no Gungnir without recruitable Arion or filthy retcons.
    • Return of the Turnwheel mechanic but obviously with some other lore-friendly gimmick No. You can already save every turn.
    • More lovers(support) conversations for all the characters Agreed.
    • Bonus chapters for other scenarios like Ares retaking Agustria In post-game content, I'd say.
    • Excellent orchestrations of the OST and new music Make the remixes good and I'll be happy.
    • Fully voice acted(or mostly like SoV) I'm fine with that. Can I have a voiced "ALVIS, YOU DASTARD" please?
    • Being able to pair Seliph and Julia without a glitch Neutral on the matter.
    • Adapt that sweet, sweet Eldigan arc from the Oosawa manga Haven't read it yet, no opinion.

Thoughts in bold. Otherwise, I'd rather things stay faithful to the original, so I'd be against stuff like new characters being retconned into the world or significant gameplay changes. Smoothing out the terrain-heavy sections and reducing the slog of Chapter 2 would be appreciated, however.

  4. The game crashes since there is no valid animations for not-dancers to dance. There is absolutely no point in making such animations in the vanilla game, so they don't exist. If you want a unit to dance, make them a dancer. The character editor entry for class won't change the class, so you'll have to go dive around the Chapter Unit editor for a bit.

  5. I feel that Sigurd, Leaf, and Micaiah should be in for the sake of having all the lords of the series, at least. I'm also curious who the top five characters in popularity according to CYL are. The most popular characters to get the shaft in Heroes are...

    #17: Micaiah
    #21: Dorcas
    #28: Lute
    #31: Mia (FE10)
    #34: Joshua

My personal wishlist? Anyone from FE4, really, but if I had to narrow it down, I'd want Sigurd, Levin, and Master Knight Leaf, to pick three. There's too many people I like to really get it much lower.

  6. Topic title, really. Who would you associate with romhacking the most, whether it's a project creator, an influential assembly hacker, or just someone you see answering questions a lot. Myself, I got linked to an ASM hack made by Gryz around two years ago, which got me into the community. (He's no longer really active, but hey.)

  7. Boss abusing and level grinding is a long, boring, tedious process. It's not really needed to finish the game, but if you really wanna train up Dew, be my guest... Spamming healing with Aideen/Ethlin is always a good idea, however. Heal even the most minor of scratches, even the +1 HP on level ups!

I dont kniw what this is. Chagall? Or Muhammad perhaps? What are you suggesting? Chagall steals Myatletainn and uses it even without holy blood?

This is a gameplay screenshot from a Japanese romhack called Fire Emblem Binary. If you talk to Eltshan, Chagall will indeed steal the Mistlotin and use it against you. (He has minor Hezul in the hack since it added holy blood to a lot of people that lacked it due to oversights and whatnot.)

  9. As a rule of thumb, revival staves, etc. only work on playable units. You won't be able to revive recruitable enemies if you failed to recruit them. Dyute's dead now. To make sure Zeke doesn't meet the same fate...

    Spoiler

After clearing the Rigel Border and starting Alm's Chapter 4, there is a path split. You can go left or right. Do not go left yet; you will end up killing Zeke this way. Instead, go right and clear out the path there. Once you reach Nuibaba's Manor, enter it and you should recruit a saint called Teeta, who is Zeke's lover. Once you've bailed her out, return to the path split and engage in the battle in Rigel Plains. Zeke should defect and turn "green". (He's blue since technical limitations, but his whole army becomes allied to the player.) After completing the level, enter Rigel Village and talk to Zeke. He will then be recruited.

  10. FE1: Nothing particularly sticks out. For the remake, Chapter 3's boss is something to fear on high difficulties. Hyman's a jerk.
FE2: The Desert Fort and Wolf's horde of archers being a pain.
FE3: Chapter 11: Sand. Sand. Did I mention sand?
FE4: The Disturbance of Agustria, Chapter 2. Rushing for the Bargain Ring before the village got trashed, dealing with the ballistas at Mackily, Lachesis's stupid paladins you need to protect for the Knight Ring, the big long backtracking session after Anphony... Dishonourable mention to the climb to Yied in Chapter 7.
FE5: Chapter 5 is a nightmare to get through. Make one mistake and all your progress goes down the drain, or else you're forced to march on without a dead unit.
FE6: Everyone likes the desert in this game, right?
FE7: Night of Farewells and its sinking platforms isn't exactly fun.
FE8: When I started playing FE, I got stuck on the desert here. Scorched Sands, you were a right pain. Desert routs combined with first time player incompetence doesn't result in anything good.
FE9: Nothing in particular. Normal was a mindless steamroll and I didn't play anything harder.

  11. To change the Sieglinde into a dark tome... you just open Nightmare's item editor module and change the weapon type from sword to dark. To change the animation, open the item animation module and change the Sieglinde from having no animation to Luna's animation. If it has no entry in the table, you can just overwrite the entry for any other item with no animation.

  12. I have compiled a spreadsheet comparing character growths from FE2 to FE15. I've attached it to the post. Some item stats are also included. To note stats not included on the spreadsheet, many, many spells got range increases. While the original game only had Thunder as 1-3, the remake also gave the range extension to Arrow, Slime, and Death. Medusa went from 1-2 to 1-5. All spells with total range got nerfed to varying extents; Physic was reduced to range=magic, while Warp and Dear were cut to magic.2. All shields that had weight did not have weight originally. Accessories also got broadly nerfed: Angel Ring lost its effect of doubling level up gains and now only gives +20 luck instead of automatically capping it, sending it from vital to useless. Speed Ring went from +5 move/autocapped speed to +1 move/+10 speed, which is still reasonably powerful. Magic Ring now simply boosts magic range by two instead of setting it to 1-5. The Sol, Luna, and Astra Lances had their weapon types changed, they are now Luna Bow, Sol Lance, and Astra Sword.
