  1. Here's the song translated: Hoshido: A heart being swayed One’s thoughts flow Like bubbles down the river stream That hand will open up the path to tomorrow Hands reaching out to the light The un-corruptible/pure golden* sword Will slash in order to wake Those slumbering, in hopes to Bring peace to the world A soft light scatters from the crystal Vanquishing the dark like a sunrise One’s thoughts. Nohr: A heart swayed to darkness, Emptying a white throne, One will deceive them all by spinning a false tale The blackened sun, will slowly begin to set, Vanquishing the light like a twilight One’s thoughts flow, Like bubbles down the river stream, That hand will open up the path to tomorrow, One’s thoughts. The full song, however, is the same. It includes both versions: A heart constantly being swayed, One’s thoughts flow Like bubbles down the river stream That hand will open up the path to tomorrow Hands reaching out to the light The un-corruptible/pure golden* sword Will slash in order to wake Those slumbering, in hopes to Bring peace to the world A soft light scatters from the crystal Vanquishing the dark like a sunrise One’s thoughts Swaying and being swayed, One’s thoughts flow Like bubbles down the river stream That hand will open up the path to tomorrow A heart swayed to darkness, Emptying a white throne, One will deceive them all by spinning a false tale The blackened sun, will slowly begin to set, Vanquishing the light like a twilight One’s thoughts You're welcome.
  2. Can I post my translation without people yelling at me for no reason? I've been kicked from the FE Fates Fan Translation Project for a reason I do not know. One of the translators told me I apparently pissed people off. I was only in the group for a few hours. Literally. I went to bed after like...3-4 hours of trying to translate something and all of the non-Japanese speaking people were trying to tell me how to do my job.
  3. I am perfectly capable of translating this game into Spanish. I've also translated other games to Spanish from Japanese. Working from What you already have in English would speeds things up for me in terms of the menu items, etc. I've also translated novels for my family before. I don't know at what pace you & your team work at, but I'm fairly quick, & this game will never be released in Spanish so its not like I'm trying to beat a localization time like your team is. I am not taking offense to what you said, but, I am simply stating that I would not mind the workload, & I can use it to add to my resume since I do not have official employment as a translator.
  4. If there's any particular dialogue anyone wants translated, I'd be more than happy to help. My friend, Yui Tominaga, a native Japanese young woman I met at a student exchange program, often asks me for translations of American idioms (ex. It's a piece of cake = it's easy) & she is also more than happy to help me, help you, translate any Japanese proverbs that may he in the game, or any words that are troubling you (as a team) in general. Thanks! I'll be excitedly waiting on the file you all have compiled so far to begin translating it to Spanish. ありがとうございます、友だち様!
  5. So I've translated third route dialogue, the chapter where you choose the Invisible Kingdom. I'll give the literal translation plus my edits so it sounds like two people actually talking to eachother cohesively. Let me know when/if I can get what you've translated so far & I'll be more than happy to continue contributing for your project.
  6. I read earlier on in the forum that the text file will only be shared with the skype group. Even if it's just a .txt file, may I receive a copy of what you have so far? I can contribute to the Third Route translation, since I've already begun to translate it? I'm fluent in English, Spanish, & I know Japanese better by hearing it. I do have a tool that can read text to me if I don't know what the kanji itself means, but in the context of the sentence/phrase, I will understand what that kanji means. Example: カムイお兄さん = Kamui-oniisan = カムイおにいさん。Let's say I didn't know what "兄" meant, by having the aforementioned tool speak it to me, I understand that it replaces "nii," & I know that "oniisan" means older brother. I hope I didn't confuse you. I just wanted to tell you that I understand Japanese but can't read kanji that is uncommon. Thanks.
  7. Hello, my name is Maria. Unfortunately, FE: if/ FATES isn't scheduled to be released in spanish-speaking countries anytime soon. However, many people I know whom are natively spanish-speaking, as well as a lot of family members I have in Mexico whom I've already gifted Pokemon (set to Spanish) for the kiddies to enjoy, are either forced to try to learn Japanese (& trust me, there aren't any Japanese From Zero books in Spanish) or simply have no way of receiving games in spanish & are forced to play without understanding the story at all. FE is very text-heavy, & I wanted to make such a game available for spanish speakers to enjoy. I do know some japnese. I can't read kanji too well, but usually after looking it up in my many handy-dandy notebooks, or scanning it with my translator for it to speak it to me, I can understand what it is saying. I was translating the Invisible Kingdom route for a friend when I stumbled across this forum. I was wondering if I could, perhaps, receive a copy of the english translations you already have so that I may begin translating the game to Spanish so that people in Spain & Southern/Central America can enjoy FE Fates? ありがとうございます! ¡Muchisimas Gracias!
