  1. Ok so...

Characters: While the lords are bland and Mary Sues (with Eprahim being debatable due to combat) the rest of the cast is great. Innes, L'Arachel, Lute, Ross, Garcia, Natasha, Gerik, Forde and especially Joshua are some of my favorite characters in the series. The villains range from complex and interesting (Selena, Orson), unique in motivations (Lyon) or just fun to watch (Caellach, Valter).

Gameplay: While the game is easy, it also introduces one of my favorite mechanics in the series: branching promotions. It also has the map system which is tons of fun, and the maps have some good level designs in them (say all you want about Father and Son, to me that chapter is well designed due to the change in strategy).

Story: it may be simple but some darker elements in the plot like Orson's madness and the fall of Jehanna add a nice touch to it (altough FE7 has the better plot).

Adjusted SSL01's vote to reflect the first option of 1 Elite Four Member +2 (In this case Lucian) and two -2 votes to Sidney and Glacia.

I figure it's easier than rejecting the vote.

I've actually voted once (+) for Lucian and once (-) for Glacia and Sidney. For some reason my cellphone double posted at that time and I didn't knew how to delete the 2nd post. Sorry

  3. Hector/Eprahim and Black Knight

We need a non sword user and/or an antagonist in the roster and these are thw most well known of each type in the western from Fire Emblem. Their Final Smash could actually be a mastery skill from PoR/RD. For Eprahim it could be Sol, Hector would get Colossus (increase in attack for 15 seconds and it would end with a powerful blow in the end) and Black Knight's Eclipse (Great Aether on the ground).

  4. No shame at all, this is one of the main reasons why Awakening is my favorite (but that title is slooooowly changing to FE7) normal classic makes the game acessible to all audiences with the hard difficulty being a pretty big jump in difficulty. Overall, keep playing in this difficulty, I've made 3 playthroughts on normal before going to hard and I didn't felt left behind or ashamed at all (again, a jump of difficulty happens on hard mode with the Reeking Box abuse not being possible anymore).
