It's a bit average but out of 70 characters there's honestly only a handful that are really terrible. The only ones I can't stand are Siegbert, Selkie, Male Kana, Ophelia, and Peri. Despite some mediocrity, there are some I really like which are Arthur, Saizo, Azama, Gunter, Laslow, and a few more.

Pure justice, prosperity, and the American way lives and breathes through Arthur's design. Bonus points for barely having a connection to the fucking atrocious generic fighter design. His custom Hero outfit only looks cooler.
Hinata's design looks to me like if one of the mercenaries of the older games class changed into a myrmidon, and I love it. The purple coat on his Swordmaster design reminds me of the Radiant Dawn long coat design of all the Swordmaster's, which is awesome.
I like Laslow's and Selena's too mostly because Mercenaries and Heros look great in the first place.

Hero is the best and will always be the best.
Fighters are fucking ugly though I miss Tellius fighters.
-
I think I'd like his quotes more if his voice didn't make it sound like he is constantly wheezing all the time.

I'm asking because my Haitaka's Strength capped at 36, an dI saw an image of it being capped at 35.
Do you have any strength statues in your castle?

Erm whoops whenever I plan out children I forget not everyone is compatible, oh well though I think I can make this work
You could always use this site to plan your children out. It shows growths, mods and classes. It's what I use.

I've never tried it but I wonder if Yukimura would be good at it. He's got the bow rank, high skill, and natural access to replicate. He could be like a nifty support unit that gives 5 hit to everyone due to his personal, and have duel ballista shots to soften up enemies with high accuracy.
-
So like would he get HP+5, then good fortune, then gamble, then strong riposte, then Sol, then Axebreaker?
I'm really not sure of the order on the unpromoted ones but I know for sure that they come before any promoted skills.
-
Hey, suppose I paired Arthur and Selena. Percy would gain Hero from both parents, from two completely different class sets. If he heart sealed into hero, would he start learning both fighter and mercenary skills simultaneously before learning hero skills, or would the game only give him one set?
He gets both. The parents get both the fighter and mercenary skills as a hero also.
Edit: He'll learn the unpromoted skills before the promoted class skills. Applies to the parents as well.

I got to agree with Haitaka being pretty good. Rally defense is sweet, and he has pretty great offensive growths and bases to be useful beyond that.He can be a pretty decent crit machine with a killer lance.
-
Hisame is my favorite. His portrait makes it even look like he is going to go punish the chef himself.
-
Hinata is like my favorite character just tied with Arthur.
I love his design because mercenary is my favorite class, and his design really reminds me of the mercenaries of the older games.
His really laid back, chill personality makes him really likeable.
I also like his stat spread more than Hana, giving up some offense for actual defensive qualities, and great bases.
Hana also kinda rubs me the wrong way with the jerkish attitude she shows off in some of her supports.

Let me hop on the Hinata love train. Love the guys design and chill personality. I think people really under rate his performance as a unit too since he has pretty great bases.
-
Awesome, Arthur isn't dogshit tier.
Too bad about Hinata and Hisame though.

What child paralogues are the worst/impossible if done late? Just shiro's, and maybe selkie's?
Ignatius' chapter is awful if done at the end. I had to use all sorts of staves just to get him.

I hope I'm not too late for this.

Some of the other units in the Heirs of Fate maps do this too like Nina and Forrest.
-
Even if it's not aimed for someone my age, I'm still kinda disappointed that it seems to be only related to classic Mega Man by name.

Oh yeah, I also have a +3 Iron Katana named Pickle Power for Hisame.
I did that as well for Hisame but it was a +5 Silver Katana.
The stuff I've made is:
Odin has a thunder named "RadicalSkillz"
Kaze and Saizo share "Edgelord", an iron shuriken
Arthur has weapons such as "Ranged Justice", "TheNohrianWay", "Liberty Sings!!!" and "Fists of Justice"
Felicia has a Flame Shuriken called "IcyHot"
There's a bunch of other lame ones but I tried to revert names back to the style of the older games such as Dual Club to Swordslayer.
-
I made Hinata and Hisame's kanatas "Hisamaru" and "Hinamaru".
I did exactly that actually.

I never heard of the series before but I saw Path of Radiance at a swap meet and dropped $50 on it (which is a steal now!) on a whim. Throwing 50 down for a series I never heard of was really dumb but I'm very glad I did.

Radiant Dawn
Support System sucks
Enemy Phase can get incredibly slow
Unit balance is pretty bad (plagues the whole series actually)
Units with shit availability like the CRKs or Dawn Brigade really need help in later chapters
Minimal paired endings
Radiant Dawn:
- THEY BROUGHT BACK THE SHITTY BRIDGE CHAPTER
SERIOUSLY FUCK THAT THING

It makes me kinda sad that Hinata is pretty low since I find him pretty likable, and that Hisame is dead last (formerly). I'll take Arthur not being in shit tier as a win I guess.

It was pretty fun. Liked it a lot more than the first part. I do believe Kana needs to survive for the reward, but I'm not totally sure.
Also, I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but Forrest has a different critical hit portrait from the DLC than his usual one. I thought the others would too, but Ophelia's was the same.
I don't have any pictures but i got quite a few crits so I noticed that Nina had a different crit portrait where she does a smile instead of a frown. Sophie and Ophelia got some too but their crit portraits were the same as usual.

Try Arthur. Gets 15 crit just from his personal, high skill cap, and growth, and can be a berserker. Get him a Great Club, Death Blow, Certain Blow, and Gamble, then he gets very consistent 100% critical and near perfect hit (on player phase).
