As much as I'm iffy on student/teacher, I think that if they S-rank after the school portion or wait till after the game to get married, it'll be fine. This isn't grade school; it's a military academy. I'm assuming that everyone is an adult, at least by semi-modern standards. Even if it's by medieval standards, we just need to keep in mind that they had different things that were acceptable at that time. Granted, most of that is now unacceptable (sexism, young marriage, cousin incest (contrary to popular belief, brother/sister was illegal back then and punishable by death) legal slavery etc.) but this is a game. Nothing we do in it has to reflect us as people.

I would like references as well. Anna can return but no one else. As much as I like Owain, Severa and Inigo, including them in Fates was a bit much.

Here's a random theory that will most likely be jossed: Byleth is related to either the Pope Lady or maybe even Seiros if the current leader of the Church isn't Seiros.

I wouldn't mind as long as there are no escort type missions. God, I hate escort missions. No matter what game they're in, the AI of the escortee makes them act so reckless...

I hope that the supports have quality. I want to get to know these characters. I want to see how they interact with others. Why would they be a good match for each other? Awakening's supports were decent. Fates had some good ones, but I found most of them awkward, trivial, too gimmicky or just plain bad.

Unless I like the canon classes, I'll just go about making them whatever I want/need at the moment. For instance, I plan on making Ashe a healer. He just gives off the medic vibe to me.

I'm glad some people answered my question. It is a bit too early for shipping, but I was curious to see which characters people would want to marry.

I wouldn't mind Anna, but other than that... I'd like the new characters to keep their spotlight. Fates had Awakening characters and expies of characters and I did not like that.

I hope Ashe has a sweet, shy personality. He's very cute. I also hope Sylvain isn't a jerk or hothead stereotype, he's too pretty for that nonsense!

I am liking this idea. And then if you ignore the warnings, more enemies come in (stronger ones) and you get a non-standard game over. If you send reinforcements, the game rewards you somehow (fewer enemy reinforcements maybe???).

Here's a question for everyone: Who, out of the revealed playable cast, would you S-Support with, if any? Right now, I would go with Sylvain, Ashe or Dimitri.

I am down for a chapter like that! I can imagine the emotional impact of having a sanctuary, a place you think is safe, be invaded. You, your students, the other students and teachers, must defend the school/monastery and drive the opposing force(es) out.

Out of all FE Avatars/PCs I think Robin was done the best. S/he had importance to the plot but also put in enough work to be worthy of that. Chrom got plenty of screentime as the Main Lord. Corrin was terrible; everything s/he did was praised, whether it was stupid or not. You can't praise someone for their flaws and then expect them to be any better! Kris was okay, but s/he did steal a lot from Marth. Mark was barely there, which was okay but not great IMO. I hope Byleth actually puts in enough effort to deserve importance.

For the topic of supports in general, I will be fine with marriage as long as any Teacher/Student is after the school portion or in the ending. I think they should make the supports more interesting. Characters should have more than one or two gimmicks to talk about. I'm not LGBTQ+ but I think the way Fates handled that was terrible (Niles and Soleil... Dear God, what a mess). People aren't stereotypes! Everyone has different tastes. I'd like a variety of characters with different sexualities and I want them to be well-written (fingers crossed, but still unsure if this is a pipe dream right now...) and not just a trope! Diversity in general is needed and I do like that 3H has Claude. I want more representation but only if it's good. Perpetuating negative stereotypes about people is not okay and if they're going to do that... Maybe no representation is better than being a box to be checked off without thought...

Yep. The Evil Church trope is so very cliche now. Exactly. I could go with that. If there is a faction of the religion that is bad, I'd like to see the Goddess call out their bullshit.

Black Eagles: Pros: Edelgard (and she's not dressed skimpy yay!), Axe Lord, pretty good party so far, Empire is possibly good this time around, FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER!!!!! Cons: Dorothea's hat (looks too modern, although I like the JoJo references to it) Blue Lions: Pros: Dimitri, Lance Lord, Sylvain (holy shit I love his design!!!), Ashe (he's very cute too), Mercedes (best girl so far besides Edelgard), this house seems to have character designs I like best Cons: Least popular house right now (a shame) so as someone above mentioned, It might be hard to get a guide at first since everyone will be picking the other classes Golden Deer: Pros: Claude, Bow Lord (!!!!) Cons: Not liking the other character designs so far

It would be nice to have split routes, but I'd personally be fine with a linear story where everyone is eventually recruited as well. Either way, I'm getting this game.

I find the art style okay. I don't love it yet but nor do I hate it. Judging by the artist's other works, we'll be mostly fine.

I hope he lives! My bet is that he appears to die or maybe does but is brought back and then joins you. Come on, Nintendo! Don't always kill off characters' parents.
