  1. I'm kinda bored of hacking today, so I decided to totally remake an old mug of Radney I made. It's still a WIP, but feel free to Crit.
  2. ^Just checked, and yes there is, as well as a Fa transformation animation. Anyway I started trying to do WM events, my brain has short circuited and I now need a cup of tea. You can't even begin to understand with the amount of hate and frustration I put into the opening events. Oh well only another 30 or so to go.
  3. Manaketes and Idounn will use Morva's animation unless someone wants to make a custom animation for Idounn suitable for FE7, and Fa will use her transformed dragon animation in the hack.
  4. ^ Lol Yeah I've seen most of the revamps out their, I probably won't be using any unless they're simply shading fixes. @Dancer A: Wendy will be a knight like she was in the original, simply so the triangle looks right, though I was going to make her into a Female cavalier. Anyway Chapter 7 is complete. I will be spending a little time refining the previous chapters and creating the Pre-chapter WM events, before creating chapter 8. I plan to release another Patch after chapter 8x, so get your NUPS ready for patching. [spoiler=Chapter 7 Screens] I will also be adding FE3 spells to this hack; namely Shaver 'shown in screens' and Dulam, that's a 1-2 range eclipse for those of you that don't know.

  6. Radiant Dawn tried all the loose ends of Path of Radiance, some characters could be expanded upon, but we personally don't need another game, two was enough. It would be okay if the game took place in another continent at the same time or even a different time period, like FE2. I'd rather see Valencia, which doesn't have a very detailed back-story, or characters for that matter; receive a sequel/prequel, or even an FE8 sequel/prequel for that matter.

  8. A few more teaser screens for you. I've almost finished chapter 7 now, just a few more villages and recuitment events to do and I'll be done.
  9. Great work Arch, nice to see the return of Morphs. The use of Morphs makes me even more intrigued as to who the boss of this chapter is. EDIT: Oh and a question; what spell animation did you use for 'Shaver'?
  10. @Blazer: You'll be able to get everything but the second Rapier, since your initial rapier has 20 more uses. @Blazing_Soul: Thanks. @alexandreH1: Theives will promote into Rogues, not Assassins, just to clarify. And since I'm making a post I may as well spoil Leygance's new mug, nothing much but at least the cape design doesn't suck this time around!

It would be great to have the game thoroughly tested before the next patch release, so I'll keep your offer in mind. @Seph: Sure, real free to 'lets play' the hack when it's finished, or at least when it's of a sizable length. And a quick update to pipe some interest. Not much show, just a few screens to show the new chapter 7 setup. And a few test screens of the new condition event. That being if Lance is still alive or not. It's not much but conditions are always fun to script.
  12. I get my A2s tomorrow, though I have to admit I too feel a little doubtful that I'll do well, though since I'm taking a working gap-year I have the time to fix any poor grades. Hopefully I won't have too, but still... I hope everyone else gets on okay anyway.
  13. Go, go double post. What a sin! Chapter 6 is at last complete. With quite a few changes from the original including different weapons available from chests and new reinforcements locations and timings, which will not be disclosed. Anyway enjoy the screens. And despite this being the hardest chapter to script in the game I have to admit it has definitely been one of the most fulfilling to do. [spoiler=Chapter 6 Screens]
  14. It's great to see another hacker reaching the custom event stage. I look forward as to how the rest of your hack pans out from here on. Question: will this chapter be playable in your hack? Perhaps you could replace the tower of Valni chapters with this special chapter.
  15. Oh Yeah! Epic Tile changes! And a couple of other Random text filled screnes. That is all. @Sploosh: There will be manaketes, they just won't transform in battle. @H3X/AntiStyle: Thankyou, I've now changed the text.
  16. Chapter 6 is well underway. I have made few edits to the intro scenes, making them both more visual and advanced utilizing the teleportation animation from FE7. Next up I'll be finishing the trigger-able tile changes. Saul is now a Monk since you already have 2 healers at this point.
  17. @ Arch: Don't worry about chapter 7, I'm already one step ahead of you, that's already going to be a 'rout enemy' chapter. I redesigned the map to accommodate the changes slightly, after you suggested the same for chapter 5. @ Blazer: Thanks there'll be a whole host of Mythril weapons included in the game and a few others. And yes Saul has changed a bit; I tried to fix his hair. @ Bunny: Sorry about that. However I do disagree with you on many points, many of the characters if were removed would remain as NPC since most characters to have some roll to play even if it is simply enhancing other characters personalities, such as Dorothy and Saul. In the same way in FE7 characters like Geitz, Wallace and Karla, could be removed. And since all the characters would be kept as NPCs not matter what I decided, I felt it only right that there was the option to use them in battle as well. If anything there may be a characters added to the rooseter by the end of the project as well. [spoiler=spoiler]Like Guinevere, Gale and maybe Jemmy and Zeed
  18. Basically after testing the chapter I felt there was no need to make the suggested changes, since the number of turns it took you to complete the chapter was effectively the same. You can open the gate on your first turn in the original anyway so it makes little odds.
  19. @Arch: I guess when Roy is made General would be a good time, since probably be Lv. 20 by then anyway. And for cath it wouldn't be too hard to edit the existing frames to make a female Rogue. I guess you have a point about Horsemen.
  20. ^ Yes but choice, as to who you can use from each class is nice, not matter how much anyone pleads either way only I shall decide who is removed and in some cases 'added', and I declare that no characters will be removed from the original. End of, and don't worry there is more than enough space, so don't fret, I do have a plan. Besides Dorothy is probably one of my favorite characters from the original, then again I love most underrated characters. Anyway to answer a few more questions, Assassins will not be in the game; however I am considering adding Rogues and Horsemen. Technically I'll be adding Dark Druids, for a special purpose in a few special chapters. Roy won't promote early solely because it has to happen when he gets the sword of seals, which can't happen any earlier either. I may increase the base Lords caps so Roy can remain useful via the aid of stat boosting items. Nor will get a new battle sprite, I'm lazy, plus it won't add much to the game. Anyway I think I've answered all your questions, just bug me if I haven't. Oh and on a side note I finished chapter 5. [spoiler=Chapter 5 Screens] Oh and after testing the chapter in its current state it plays out similarly to the original, taking the same amount of turns, roughly anyway.
  21. ^ I don't mind figuring out stuff for myself, so long as it doesn't take me a week. And yes epically broken Ostia soldiers FTW. Although in truth, only the soldier shown is broken, the rest are average. Anyway more updates, I finished the intro scenes of chapter 5. Chapter 5 is now a 'defeat boss' chapter. Since I can't be bothered to put anymore work into putting a gate in there. It is a 'remake' so I have the right not to be 100% accurate. Dory is now called Dorian, since I'm only going to let the gay bandits have a girly name. No offence if you're a guy called Dory. It was going to be a 'defeat all' chapter, as suggested by Arch; however FE6 Bosses suck when they're not placed on a gate. So I moved both the playable units and Dorian slightly further away so it is still worth going through the northern pass.
  22. Chapter four has offically been completed. Go me! It took me a while to figure out how to make Clarine talk to Roy but I did in the end. [spoiler=Chapter 4 screens] I had ago at inserting some FE6 tilesets, however I have noticed that Fe6 tile configurations work slightly differently to FE7, so chapter 5 will undergo a few changes like chapter 3. Hopefully I can get this fixed before the Ilia chapters. And since I'm nice you can enjoy a little sneak preview of one of the special chapters.
  23. Merlinus does use the same slot, however I know why the error occurs, or at least I think I do. I edited the Transporter class so that it would be selectable in the combat prep, however I believe at the same time I might have removed the ability to access the storage. EDIT: Thanks Lord Glenn for you error reporting. I'm in the process of editing Serra's animation, shame the original can't be inserted but it won't be hard to edit.
